I do not own either Evil Genius or MHA.

That being said, this fic is borne from frustration.

My original partner, ThatKekingKiwi, in the MHA/EG project Viridian Organization had to drop out for medicinal reasons and had since then pursued private projects as he recovers. My current partner, kypiroth, my editor, has a number of personal problems that demands their attention... so in other words this particular fic is me trying to pass the time in the meantime regarding my own story! xD

Keep note that this particular fic isn't canon to Viridian Organization. I guess you could say this is more idle fantasy of how I picture Izuku would be after he settles into his role as head of The Old Exchange (TOE). In this particular case he's sent into the EG universe proper for the purposes of this fic. I hope you enjoy what I hope is a short story on my part as I make a chapter for each cutscene Izuku (or rather the EG) partakes in!

In other words this is primarily a dialogue fic based on the cutscenes from the game Evil Genius 2.

Evil Green

(AKA the EG Cutscenes edition!)

Mission (related) Cutscenes 1!

The music was... fitting for the occasion, he mused as he observed the island of Caine Key coming closer. Not like he picked it though—it was what happened to be on the copter's radio at the moment when he asked the pilots to put some music on.

How he ended up in this world of yesteryear (give or take a couple of centuries, funnily enough) he couldn't quite say for sure. A last minute save from Miss Specter from the malfunctioning project in the lab? Maybe the teleportation device worked after all, just not as intended? Tough to say. All he knew for certain was that this world was not his own. The fact that Maximilian Von Klein's active presence in broad daylight as a businessman was enough to convince the teenager this was an alternative reality—the Max of his own timeline flat out disappeared after successfully dominating the world only to be brought down by underground elements composing the Forces of Justice. To further confirm his situation Red Ivan, formerly Maximilian's underling both before and during the takeover, was still ruling over his namesake country with a literal iron fist; further investigation as to the one who took over the world here (only to be deposed) was evidently a man named Shen Yu, well and truly banishing any remaining doubts.

Ultimately nothing mattered much beyond confirming what is and was. For better or worse he didn't have to worry about interfering with the past. He had a blank check. He was fortunate enough to stumble across someone who wouldn't be missed who happened to have the assets the teenager wanted. He is going to find his way back home.

As such when the helicopter descended onto the platform built in the direct middle of the circular valley within the island where a small array of yellow suited construction workers standing in two straight lines to form a path before the copter. Once it landed it the boss of this particular organization marched out in a purposeful stride through the pathway to the jutting cover of the stairway awaiting at the end of the of the platform, and from there to the hydraulic door that would bar entry to the inner workings of the island.

(The arrival)

Inside the hallways the black and green suited teenager addressed an employee. The former's hands were steepled, albeit pointing downward.

"I see things are as well under way here," the teen's synthesized voice murmurs as he pointedly ignored the sounds of stone breaking, of tiles and walls being put onto the freed space and of furniture 'thunking' into place, particularly in the control room so as to begin the making of a criminal empire much to Izuku's reluctance. "No issues so far?"

"None whatsoever boss!" the employee cheerily replied with a nod of their head and an enthusiastic thumbs up.

"Good. Good. I don't suppose my office is ready yet?"

The employee cringes as is they were about to be struck. "Ah... no sir. We, uh, just got started with making the base the way you wanted it."

"Very well. Just be sure not to take too long if it can be helped. It's rather difficult to plan and broker deals out in a hallway in the long run."

"Understood sir!"

XVX

(The scientist)

In a room being temporarily used as his domain until his Inner Sanctum is built...

"E-excuse me boss, but, uh, we've got a problem that we've been trying all morning to solve. Can you help us?" an employee asks.

"Hm? What did you need help with?"

"These white strings attached to our boots. What are they?"

The teenager stared at him through the largely blank black screen of his helmet. "Please tell me you're joking."

"Uh... no~o?"

The criminal mastermind of this organization sighed as he tipped his head forth and palmed where his forehead would be. "I suppose this explains the lack of research around here." He straightened, a hand balled into a fist behind his back as he makes a sharp pointing gesture. "Get the job listings. See whoever is available for hire to run the research department! Save the kidnapping as a last resort!"

(After the acquisition of intelligent services.)

An elderly man in a white coat bearing purple goggles and a headband adorned with small dish arrives to greet him. "I'm ready to uncover the mysteries of the universe for you, boss. What do you want me to research?"

"Ah, good," Izuku hums. "I already have a list of projects I want you to prioritize in the lab for you in descending order unless you can make a point otherwise."

"Very good!"

His arm brought behind him once more he dramatically points out in a literal fashion. "Also please, field the more... 'basic' questions from the employees for me. At this point I'm almost ready to strangle someone!"

XVX

(The valet)

"Hmm. Another group of agents," Izuku notes more to himself than the present company with him, his hands steepled downward. "Short of tracking our more... illicit activities you'd think we were being suspicious or something out here."

"It's probably all the helicopters. They're probably wondering what we're doing out here," a worker states while cringing.

"Given the abandoned casino up front you would think they would guess we were trying to start a resort."

"Which we aren't..."

The criminal palmed his helmeted forehead. "Which we aren't," he echoed before straightening himself. "I suppose I see your point. We're going to need someone to man the front. I don't suppose you're good at blackjack are you?"

(After a 60's training montage.)

An employee dressed in a double breasted purple jacket garnish in gold, wearing black pants and also wearing a bellhop's iconic hat colored in the aforementioned colors introduced herself to him. "It's a pleasure to meet you!"

Izuku hummed in acknowledgement. "I trust you know what to do?"

"Carry luggage. Open doors. I also play a mean game of baccarat."

"And?"

"And make sure I do my best to dissuade anyone from being... inquisitive."

"Good. Very good. Be sure to smile just to sell the effect."

XVX

(The guard)

The mastermind of the organization sighed in exasperation as his fist was against his back, arm outstretched. "Honestly I should not be involved in defending my own base from inspectors with itchy trigger fingers. You there! How well can you aim a gun?"

"Uh," a cringing worker grunted, "I... never held a gun before?"

He sighed as he palmed his forehead. "And if I just simply gave you a bulletproof vest and had you charge at them?"

"Uh... I might give up after one shot? Maybe two?"

He didn't look up. "Just... just get someone who can train up some security guards."

(Another epic training montage later!)

Before him in a fairly familiar uniform of red-orange and burnt-orange stood a fairly buff man. "Hm. Yes. I don't suppose you would give up after one-to-two shots if I gave you a bullet proof vest, right?"

"The biggest one!"

"I'm sorry, what?" Izuku asks as he grasps at his chin, his fingers drumming along it.

"The biggest one?" At this point even the guard looked confused and unsure.

"Uh... are you alright? Should... should we get you to the infirmary?"

XVX

(The technician)

In the control room the mastermind was confronted with a shocking sight... literally. "I... what...!? hrn!?" The teenager thrust an arm out at an employee. "YOU! Are you responsible for the state of this room?! Why is everything in here giving off sparks?!"

The worker was surprisingly calm given the reaction. "Yes boss. That's how we know they're turned on."

"And what makes you think it should be sparking in the first place?! Turn it off before we lose the control room!"

"We tried!" the worker finally cringed from the lambasting. "But the sparks you see, they hurt!"

"Do you honestly expect to carry out operations with anything broken down as it is?! Or expect to get paid if we can't even talk to the teams bringing in money from the world?! Find some specialists! Engineers! Technicians! Repairmen! Anyone! NOW!"

(One phone book pursued later, and after many, many, many many repairs.)

"I take it everything has been fixed?" the mastermind asked the elderly man in a green apron before him, his hand steepled once more.

"Indeed sir. Don't worry. We're here to make repairs, prevent breakages and to turn things on and off again!"

"Good. Good. I don't need an aneurysm before I'm even a foot past the door at this juncture!"

XVX

(The henchmen recruitment)

Izuku Midoriya, leader of TOE in another world, found himself standing within his finally completed office. Dark jade walls, a black marble floor, a white marble ceiling. Aside from his desk it was a little spartan at the moment. Even so...

"It's come to my attention that I am going to need a some skilled individuals in my employ if we're to make any sort of progress with the more dangerous elements amongst the FOJ. Not to mention the other criminal empires that might take offense to us."

"What about me boss?" the worker before him complained.

Izuku palmed his head once more with a sigh. "Need I remind you the vest question from earlier?" When no answer came he returned to his more composed stance. "That's what I thought."

"Now, how well versed are you in the criminal underground to say who's who?"

(Janet Bombe recruitment)

"Ah. Miss Bombe. I must say you certainly left quite the impression all things considered. Especially since I'm not exactly well known to begin with."

Standing before him was Janet Bombe in a predominantly black catsuit with vertical yellow stripes, equipped with an advanced backpack, a headset for communications and black goggles. "I aim to impress! I'll admit though I probably would've missed you if it was anyone other than Coven Argyle who dropped dead and had their fortune stolen."

"Who—oh wait. Yes. Sorry. We didn't exactly exchange names at the time."

Miss Bombe chuckles. "Well like you had said just moments ago, you certainly made an impression in the community thanks to that."

"Well hopefully it's not one that would invite trouble to my operations."

"Don't worry boss. With me on your team you'll be invincible. Technically."

(Eli Barracuda Jnr. recruitment)

"So. You're the guy who knocked out Coven Argyle huh?" asked a tall black man in a cream suit the moment they met.

"For better or for worse," Izuku admitted even though he was slightly struggling to put a face to the name. The best he had was the man who the teenager swiped his assets from.

"Well you certainly did a lot of people favors by doing that," the older man offered with a grin.

"I would hope so. So, Mister Barracuda, shall we discuss any terms and revisions or do you find what was already discussed acceptable on your part?"

"Please," the man offered with a sauve grin, "Mister Barracuda was my father. Call me Eli."

(Jubei recruitment)

"So you are the new face who is making a play within the underworld."

In all honesty Izuku was expecting someone a bit younger than the elderly man before him; along the lines of grayed or graying hair and some wrinkles than the advanced age belying both the sheer amount of experience and the unspoken air of violence he was casually emanating.

"For better or for worse."

The elderly man hummed. "And you are merely looking for an enforcer for your criminal empire."

"In a nutshell," the teenager answered him.

"Very well. Keep to your terms and you'll have my support."

"Agreed."

(IRIS recruitment)

Prior to the creation of STADT the organization had an on/off relationship with AI since its inception. The first ever to be used, TIM if Izuku recalled correctly, technically wasn't in charge of anything—it was an experimental supercomputer stolen from a laboratory for the express purpose of conducting experiments for TOE to help ensure its goal of world domination. IRIS, TIM's replacement in TOE's second founding after its initial fall, developed by a woman named Zalika, was much more advance. The first, yet unofficial, true AI to ever be built. It managed the finances, checked various systems it was connected to and promptly sent back reports, monitored for enemies both within and without... if there was an army of mechanical drones she would doubtlessly make use of them in lieu of flesh and blood workers. Yet compared to STADT, IRIS' successor several decades down the line when she essentially couldn't be integrated into more modern technology, IRIS was still limited in that she was dependant on commands and orders as she was... not necessarily stunted, but certainly lacked the more sophisticated emotional spectrum her successor has.

"I trust that everything is in order, IRIS?"

"Processing," the metallic woman with brilliant blue orbs for eyes in front of him droned. He was rather curious about the pink stewardess outfit she wore but set it aside for now. An unfailingly loyal proponent of his will was what he desired most and personal quirks, in the original sense of the word, were but a price to be paid. "My consciousness is in complete control of this unit. Core Lair functions are unaffected."

"Good. Good. I would rather hate to see the base shut down if your unit was simply off island, or worse yet destroyed by enemies."

"That would be inadvisable, and backup copies are being replicated as we speak."

"Excellent. Let's get to work, shall we?"

A/N: And scene.

Like I said this is more to pass the time as things hopefully settle and work resumes. And like I said earlier this story is basically just for the cutscenes that the EG in the game proper participated in, so barring a few exceptions any scene that was basically just the minions talking to one another (or to others) is going to be excluded from this particular fic. Even then I may cut out almost all the side missions that did involve the EG.

Fun fact and for clarification in Izuku's Viridian-verse my fic-canon is that Maximilian is the original leader of TOE who would successfully take over the world, with Ivan becoming his successor after it fell apart. For the former it was a matter of favorites to be honest, nothing more or less. But it did wonderfully help pave the way Ivan in hindsight in that one, he would have an idea as to what to do in reassembling the organization after it was crushed, and two, canon-wise, he was the most likely to fail in comparison to the others in one relatively simple matter—while it's entirely possible for any of the F(s)OJ to sabotage the doomsday device only Ivan faced something stated as a united front whereas the others were more akin to one-on-one fights with more specific individuals. While the argument could be made that technically yes it was a one-on-one with Atomic Olga it was stated earlier than her direct mention and appearance that the Forces of Justice united as the organization PEACE in direct response to Ivan's presence (or if you want to get granular a second coming of a world dominating EG). As such in my mind it wouldn't be out of the question for a team up between Atomic Olga with a squad (or small army) of soldiers to use herself as a distraction whilst Symmetry went in to sabotage the HAVOC device and let it self destruct upon the next order to fire when its learned too late that critical failsafe measures had been removed and disabled. To further support this Symmetry is stated in her own lore that she canonically took down a seperate EG with this exact method (whether or not she had a distraction in the form of soldiers raiding a base a matter of debate).

For those who would cry "spoilers!", this was in fact written in the second chapter... which is still being edited. Make of that what you will.

Also for clarification as to the henchman recruitment scene-who did he choose? Did he choose all of them? He chose only one. I'll leave it to your imaginations as to which one he chose. :P

Monkeybandit2, making off with your attention! No refunds.
