I don't own HP

November 1st 1987 Bristol, England

The house was quiet when Harry woke up. He didn't need to open his eyes to know that he wasn't in his normal bed. He also didn't need to open his eyes to be able to tell that someone else was in his bed. Slowly, Harry wrapped his fingers around his wand, which he held under his pillow, but he stopped when he remembered just how it was that was in his bed.

His new mother.

Memories from the previous night swirled around his mind as he processed just what had happened to him. He had gone from trying to capture the women to now being her son.

"Blue was right," He mumbled to himself as he removed himself from the women's embrace, wand in hand. "My life is crazy.

He closed his eyes and sensed that he was the only one awake in the house and smiled. He looked over at an alarm clock and saw that it was only 6:30 in the morning. He stretched, and walked out the room.

Harry walked down the stairs and to the kitchen into the medium sized kitchen. He looked out the window and saw that the sun was just starting to peek out of the clouds. He always loved this part of the day. He loved the peace and quiet that happened early in the morning.

He picked up a medium sized kettle and started to pour water into it. He then started searching for an open box of black liquorice tea. He had to move some stuff around in the cabinet, but eventually he hound some, and placed some into an infuser. He then put the water on the stove and waited.

While he waited, he finally got a chance to look around the house that he was currently staying in. There were different pots and pans hanging in front of a nice brick backsplash. He continued to look around the rustic kitchen until his tea water started to boil.

"Nothing like some nice cup of tea in the morning," He mumbled happily to himself as he took a spoonful of honey from a jar that he placed on the counter.

Once he was finished with his tea, Harry took his cup to one of the chairs that was in the kitchen and sat down. He looked on the table and saw a copy of the previous day's Daily Prophet and started to read it.

He was not used to being able to get quiet time to himself due to the nature of his occupation. He was constantly either training, on a mission, or training. He was so busy that most of the time, he didn't even remember what day it was. In fact, it was only due to his superiors that he knew when to do his missions.

Harry wasn't always a fan of quiet, which made him chuckle as he read the paper. He was a fan of quiet movements, but he mostly loved to exercise and be active. Don't get him wrong, he loved to read and learn, but he also enjoyed walking and being outdoors, thi he didn't really get to do it very often.

He had been reading for a while until he heard something coming from the fireplace. He looked up from his position at the table and raised an eyebrow. He placed his teacup down on a saucer and walked out of the kitchen.

He walked into the hallway that was adjacent to the kitchen and slowly walked towards the source of the noises. As he crept, he looked at the many photos and paintings that hung on the walls. Some of the moving photos and paintings were of Amelia and her siblings, and others were of Amelia with a small child.

He continued to creep down the length of the hallway until he reached the doorway to the sitting room. He noticed that the door was already open, and walked in. It was a large room with sofas and loveseats, however, the thing that caught immediate interest was the fireplace. Or, rather, the two figures standing in it.

One of the figures had messy, dark red hair, and freckles, and wore a bright smile on her face. She was a short child, only standing at about 3'4. She had a slightly round face with an equally round pair of cheeks, a pair of brown, boxy glasses over a set of light hazel eyes. She wore a long pink nightshirt which was covered in flowers.

The second figure was a tad bit taller then the first one, standing at about 3'6. She had long straight platinum hair which was tied behind her back in a tight ponytail. The girl had a small, but angular face with a sharp pointed nose between a set piercing ice blue eyes. She was wearing a long, light colored nightshirt.

He took a position on the far side of the room and observed the two children as they talked to each other.

"Now remember, we have to be quiet," The red headed child whispered to the blonde who rolled her eyes.

"Yes Susan," She said as she stepped out of the fireplace. "You've said that multiple times already."

"Yeah, well, I just wanted to make sure that you remembered!" The now identified Susan mumbled while her cheeks glowed light pink. She then stepped out of the fireplace and whipped the soot and ash off of her glasses.

"What are we even doing here?" She asked while looking around the room. "I thought you were supposed to be staying over at my house for the entirety of Samhime this year."

"Daphne we've been over this," Susan whispered while making her way towards the door. "I need to get something for the festival!"

Daphne rolled her eyes once again and crossed her arms over her chest. "You know, you don't need Fuzzy to enjoy the festival…right?"

Susan glared at Daphne who smirked back at her. "I'll have you know that Fuzzy is a large part of all of the holidays we celebrate!"

"Susan, Fuzzy is a stuffed cat!" Daphne giggled as they made their way towards the door.

"That doesn't mean he isn't any less important," The red-head grumbled as she opened the door to the hallway.

"Is this what the Heirs of two Ancient Houses do in their spare time?" Harry asked as he stepped into the light, revealing himself to the two girls.

Both girls screamed when they heard the voice. Daphne turned around first and put Susan behind her. She looked at Harry with hard eyes and did all she could to shield Susan.

"Who are you?!" She yelled, her eyes glancing around for a quick escape or something to defend herself with.

Harry raised an eyebrow at the actions of the young girl. "I'm not going to hurt you," He said as he took another step towards the two children. "As for who I am…" He trailed off as he heard quick footsteps approaching them. He then turned back to the two girls and smiled. "It seems we have some company joining us."

Suddenly the door to the parlor was flung open by Amelia Bones. She ran into the room with her wand drawn and frantically looked around.

"Freeze!" She shouted as she moved her wand towards Harry.

"Madam Bones," Harry said evenly as he looked at her. "Pleasant morning we're having, no?"

"Harry?" Ameila asked as she lowered her wand. "What are you doing?"

"Shouldn't you be asking that to these two as well?" He asked while gesturing to the two children who looked as though they had just been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

"What's going on?" Poppy asked as she entered the room with her wand drawn.

"I was drinking a cup of tea when I heard some noise," Harry explained as he looked at the three women. "I then heard the fireplace go off and went to investigate. When I got here I saw these two exiting the Floo and wanted to see what they were doing here."

Amelia then looked over at the two girls who were still looking at Harry with wide eyes. Susan, by this point, had moved from behind Daphne and was now looking down at the ground.

"H-hello Aunty," She looked up and gave her aunt a half smile. "H-how are you doing today?"

"Susan, what are you doing here?" She asked her niece. "I thought you were supposed to be staying with Daphne and the Greengrasses this Sanhime?"

"I…well…"

"She left her stuffed bear," Daphne explained. "She woke me up and had us Floo over here so we could get it."

"Yeah, I didn't know there would be anyone awake in the house." Susan guiltily explained.

Amelia nodded her head and then sighed. "Well, as long as no one is hurt it's fine,"

"Are we just going to glance over who he is?" Susan asked while pointing at Harry who smiled at her.

"Harry Potter," He bowed his head and smirked. "Tho it might be Pomfrey now."

Both Susan and Daphnes' eyes widened when they heard the boy's name. Susan looked at her aunt and then back at Harry with wide eyes.

"Harry Potter?! Like THE Harry Potter?" Susan asked as she walked towards the boy who nodded his head.

"Yes I'm the-"

He was interrupted by Susan who slapped him on the cheek. His eyes widened and he immediately went to draw his wand.

"Where have you been?!" Susan screamed while poking him in the chest "Aunty has been looking for you everywhere!"

"I…well…" He rubbed the back of his head and let out a nervous chuckle. "It's a bit of a long story."

"While I would love to know the details," Daphne interrupted. "You said you were related to Poppy Pomfrey." She then glanced at the pregnant matron and raised an eyebrow. "Is that true?"

Poppy smiled and walked to Harry. "Yes, tho we need to get all of the paper work up to date and such."

"Is Harry even registered in the forester system?" Amelia asked while ushering everyone out of her parler and down the hallway into her kitchen.

"I think he might be in the Ministry's records but I don't know because it's widely known that he's an orphan." Poppy explained as she sat down at the table.

"Is someone going to explain what's happening and why Harry Potter is in our house?!" Susan shouted as she sat down at the table next to Daphne.

"Well…that's actually an interesting story," Poppy said while looking at the child with a captivated gaze. "We found him when we had to take a trip to my house during the party." She said while glancing at Amelia who nodded her head.

"So then where were you before they found you?" Daphne asked the boy skeptically. There were many things that did not make sense to her, and she was going to figure them out.

"Well I'm actually an assassin," Harry calmly explained to the children whose eyes immediately go wide.

"You kill people?" Susan asked quietly as she looked at the boy who frowned at her.

"Yes, is that a problem?" Harry asked while looking at Poppy who sighed.

"Harry, how many kids are you around on a daily basis?" Amelia asked while summoning a cup and a coffee pop to the table.

"Well I had Blue for a while," He said as he reached over for his tea cup.

"What happened to her?" Poppy asked with a raised eyebrow. She wanted to get to know as much about Harry's time as an assassin as she could.

"She left," He said quietly. His face dropped for a second before he schooled his emotions. He looked at Daphne who was staring at him intently and smiled. "No I didn't kill Ms. Greengrass, in fact, she might have been stronger than me."

"How did you-"

"Know what you were going to say?" He smirked when he saw the blonde's eyes narrow. "Maybe I'm just cool."

Susan looked at her aunt who was giggling quietly. "What's so funny Aunty?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"He can read your mind sweetheart," Amelia replied casually while pouring herself a cup of coffee. "He's apparently been able to do it since he was a baby."

The two younger children looked at him with wide eyes. Both of the girls had known that the mind was a very important place for a witch or wizard, however, they did not know that someone could read their minds. Susan looked at Harry once again, this time with a look of wonder. He looked at the young red head with a raised eyebrow.

"What am I thinking of right now?" She asked quickly before cutely scrunching up her face.

Harry rolled his eyes and let a gentle smile across his face. "Pumpkin pie and baby kneazles."

"Wow you really can read minds!" She squealed excitedly. "What other stuff can you do?" She asked while excitedly tapping her hands on the table.

"Well I can do this," He snapped his fingers causing the kitchen to snap to life. Pans flew from the cabinets as eggs and bacon flew out of the fridge and landed on the counter tops. He then got up and turned on the stove.

"Can you cook Harry?" Poppy asked as she got up to supervise.

"Yes, in the barracks we are responsible for making our own meals," Harry then went on to explain how he and Blue used to eat together and even told a funny story about how they had a mini food fight.

"What's it like being an assassin?" Susan asked excitedly while watching the book cook in the kitchen.

"Wait, how can you be an assassin if he doesn't have a wand?" Daphne asked. Her voice dripped with skepticism.

Harry then turned around and held up his wand. "You mean this wand?" He asked as he waved it around, summoning a bouquet of flowers. "I got my first wand when I was four."

"First?" Amelia asked as she raised an eyebrow at the child. "While I'm going to overlook the insane usage of underage magic, I will not overlook someone selling wands to underaged individuals."

"Good luck trying to catch them," Harry said while handing her a plate of eggs, bacon, and toast. "I have no clue who they are."

"But still-"

"What happened to your first wand Harry?" Poppy interjected. She glared at her friend causing the elder redhead to sigh.

"Blue used it to summon Fiendfyre. I guess there was too much raw magic being channeled through it that it fried the core. Though, I've been able to summon it fine with both wands." Harry casually explained to the group. It was too bad he was focused on the cooking, because if he had looked up, he would have all of their shocked faces.

"Y-you can summon Fiendfyre?!" Poppy shouted.

"Can you not?" He asked while handing Daphne and Susan their food. "I thought that my mother would have taught you how to use it."

"Lily could use Fiendfyre?" Amelia asked Poppy before taking a bite of her food.

Poppy looked at her friend and slowly nodded her head. Honestly, she didn't know the true abilities for her deceased friend. A lot of what she could do was shrouded in myth and mysteries. While she knew a lot more than a normal witch or wizard, she still didn't know all of the secrets that Lily kept.

"Lily…could do many things." Poppy finally said after a few moments of a pause. "If she had the time, she could have probably become more powerful than Albus Dumbledore, Voldemorte, or even Merlin himself."

"Aunt Lily wasn't THAT strong…right?" Susan asked the group. She, Daphne. And nearly every other child born after the second war had heard of the sheer legends around Lily Evans. Almost everyone in the Wizarding World has heard of her.

"It's a shame she died," Daphne mumbled while looking at her plate. WHile she didn't remember the woman herself, she knew of the impact she had had on her family.

The two older women looked at Harry who had gone quiet during the conversation. Poppy, who was standing next to him, hesitantly put her arm around his shoulder.

"She loved you," the Matron whispered gently. "She loved you from the moment she found out she was having you. I'm not going to lie and say that the circumstances around your conception aren't…sketchy, but your mother loved you very much. She never regretted it for a second. Nor did she regret dying for your safety."

Harry took a deep breath and nodded his head. He then looked at the woman and smiled at her gently. "Thank you for telling that," He said as he turned off the stove. "It's nice to hear from someone who was as close to her as you were." He said as he walked over to the table to eat his own food.

"Of course sweetheart!" Poppy smiled and followed with her own plate. "I'll be more than happy to tell you any and all of the stories I have about her."

"I'd like that," Harry said as he sat down.

"Can we hear some too?" Susan asked, her body bouncing in her seat as she tried her best to hide her excitement.

"I would also like to hear some stories about her. SHe was, afterall, an incredible woman." Daphne asked the two parents present who both nodded their heads.

And just like that, the morning soon devolved into fits of laughter as the two elder witches retold past memories from their time at Hogwarts. They even told stories of their times in fights with Death Eaters. Poppy was in the middle of telling a story about a time when Lily turned the entire Black Lake green when Harry abruptly got up from the table.

"Harry, is everything ok?" Amelia asked as he followed him into the hallway.

"I need to head back soon," He mumbled as he rubbed his right bicep.

Amelia noticed this and raised an eyebrow. She summoned her wand from her pocket and pointed it at him. "I'm not going to find a snake and skull am I?" She asked while pointing her wand at upper arm.

"You actually won't find anything at all," Harry smirked and rolled up the sleeve of his shirt showing off his bare arm.

Nodding, she put her wand back down and looked at his arm. "You know, I'm going to ask," She said as she looked at the child. "How are you getting back to your headquarters?"

Harry looked at Amelia and smiled. "I need to talk to Ms Pomfrey before I leave so we can sort out some stuff," He explained as he walked back out to the kitchen where Poppy was looking at him worriedly.

"Is everything alright?" She asked while standing up to walk over to him.

"Yes," He nodded his head and sighed. "Unforntally I have to leave."

Poppy's face visibly dropped when he said that. She had been looking forward to getting to know Harry some more before going house hunting since hers had burnt down. She sighed and looked at the child in front of her.

"When do you think you'll be free again?" She asked while trying not to let her sadness show.

"I Just have to report that I couldn't get you and I should be fine," He explained with a shrug. "I'll say exactly what happened…minus the whole adoption part."

Poppy accepted his answer and sighed. "When will I know when I'll see you?" She asked the boy who smiled.

"Do you have a ring by chance?" Harry asked while looking at Amelia.

She nodded her head and walked up the stairs to her bedroom. After a few moments, she came back with a plain silver band. Harry took the band and started weaving his wand over it and his swan necklace. After a few moments, he stopped and handed it to her.

"That ring will burn whenever I am free, and will allow me to portkey to you when you respond by channeling your magic through the rune that should have appeared," He explained as he put back on his necklace.

"So then what did you do with the necklace?" Amelia asked in awe of the complex magic being done.

"The necklace will allow me to portkey to her," He said casually.

"You just created a portkey in seconds!" Daphne shouted with wide eyes as she looked at the boy who shrugged.

"I already knew the spell and the process, so it wasn't that hard." He said while rubbing his shoulder again. "I need to leave." He walked over to the front door and smiled. "I'll see you soon Ms. Pomfrey!" He shouted before silently disappearing as he walked out the door.

"I can 100 percent say he is better at apparition then Lily ever was," Ameila commented before closing and locking her front door.

All Poppy could do was look at the ring in shock and wonder. "He's powerful," She said, totally missing whatever Amelia had said.

"So, what just happened?" Daphne asked while looking at the two adults in the room. "Did we just meet someone who the entire Wizarding World thought was dead or missing?"

"Yes…and you're not going to say a word about it to anyone!" Poppy said sternly to the children who all swallowed the lump that had immediately formed in their throats.

"Poppy is right," Ameila said while cleaning up Harry's plate. "Word absolutely can NOT get out that Harry is ok."

"Why? Wouldn't it be a good thing?" Susan asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No, because then he could possibly be taken away from us by some very powerful people," Poppy said as she finished her own food. "I don't want that to happen."

"But yet you let him be an assassin?" Daphne asked, sarcasm dripping in her voice.

"Last night Harry agreed to continue to be an assassin while also collecting information we can use to bring them down." Amelia sighed. "If there was some other way to do this we would have done it."

"When will we see him again?" Susan asked.

"Well, you'll probably see him a few more times." Poppy smiled. "You'll definitely see him when you're thirteen and going to Hogwarts since he's in your year."

"He's our age!?" Daphne shouted with wide eyes.

"Yes, in fact I think you might be older than him," Poppy giggled when she saw the shocked looks on both the girls' faces.

"So then now what?" Susuan asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Now we talk about how you tried to sneak into the house at six in the morning!" Amelia said with a raised eyebrow causing both the children to bow their heads in shame.

"Yeah…About that," Susan said while releasing a nervous chuckle.
