An: Happy birthday... To me.

Before I was able to set out for the college something came up. I was stopped by a courier . How he found me here I have no idea. He even looked like a typical courier from skyrim.

I was overlooking the repair of Helgen's gates we destroyed during our takeover. Suddenly I heard a sound of footsteps. I turned to the side almost reaching for my scythe, expecting an assassin or something like that.

Then comes out a default skyrim courier . He seemed unperturbed at the undead doing the construction. I was so shocked at the familiar face I almost didn't hear him.

"I've been looking for you, got something i'm supposed to deliver, your hands only." as he says that he hands me a piece of parchment. It is visible from the very start that it is of high quality.

Turning it over I see a seal. Huh curious, I wonder what Balgruuf wants. No matter. At that moment Lydia comes closer to examine the sytuation. When her eyes widened I knew she saw the wax seal.

Then I realised I had a problem. Namely the courier. I am not sure what this is all about, but I know that I will not take any unnecessary risks. Looking at the man I command in a cold tone of voice.

"Lydia...Kill him. " The only reaction he has time to make is the widening of his eyes in fear. Seconds later he is bleeding out on the ground. A long cut from shoulder to hip is carved into him.

I am proud. Of whom? Of myself, of course. My housecarl didn't even give my order any hesitation . After breaking the seal and opening the letter I started reading.

To Erato, the thane of Whiterun.

You are hereby requested to appear before the jarl to discuss matters of high importance.

Proventus Avenicci, steward to jarl Balgruuf the Greater.

...

It was short and to the point. I am sure he just copied all the letters and just signed them. Didn't even give me the time of day, imperial fuck. Granted, I did not do much to benefit Whiterun after all that dragon stuff.

"Well, to whiterun it is...again." I was sure that Lydia read the letter over my shoulder. So, not turning to her I entered the keep to make preperations for our journey . It will be pretty short, yes, but one can never be over prepared. And I have to leave someone in charge while me and my housecarl are gone.

Aproching the gates of Whiterun I saw two guards in the signature yellow garb. I was alone since I sent Lydia before me. Seeing me, one of the guards pushed of the wall he was leaning on and came closer to me.

"Hold, state your business in Whiterun." I gazed at him. In his defence, I was to whiterun only twice, so it is understandable he doesn't know my face.

I wordlessly hand over the invitation. He took one look at it and, after few a seconds, he recoiled, as if struck.

"I - I apologise for the disrespect, my thane."

I walked through the gate, with no further problems.

The first thing I saw after entering was a pair of Redgards and a Guard accompanied by a paladin. Ah, I see the 'In my time of need' quest. All right, here we go. Once I came closer the guards saw me.

One with a shout of "Hail, dragonborn." and the second, with a quieter "My lord." Both of them saluted.

"Tell me, guardsmen, what is going on here?" I asked raising a singular eyebrow.

"My lord." With a stiff salute the guard started to explaini himself. "These people have been harassing citizens of whiterun." I nodded and turned my head to the Alik'r Warriors, ready to listen to their side of the story.

With a respectful bow at the waist, the clear leader started to argue his case. "We were sent by the ruling body of Hammerfell, to seek out a cryminal hailing from our land."

"I see, and why would you look for her here? And furthermore, what has she done. " I inquired.

"She was seen last crossing the border between Whiterun and Falkreath. She is a traitor. She sold information to the thalmor." He replied with a snarl of righteous rage.

"I see, is she a redgard as well? " I asked scratching my chin in though.

"Yes." He replied with a dip of his head.

!Quest received!

In my time of need

Help the Alki'r warriors catch Saadia

Or

Help Saadia escape

Rewards: XP, Saadia's or Kematu's corpse, unlock Gacha, 5 Gacha tokens.

Hmm, this is interesting, Gacha, you say. Well, count me in.

"I might know who you are talking about." I replied, making the redgards blink in surprise. Before they could reply, I turned back to the guards. " Men, with me." So saying I turned to the bannered mare. I made sure that the two curved sword welders were following us.

Making our way through Whiterun I made sure to inform my company of who to apprehend. We arrived at the tavern. The alkai'r warriors stood at the right side of the door and the guards taking cover at the right.

At my signal the soldiers poured in to the local. The whiterun guard screaming something about the Jarl and stopping right there.

As I walked in I saw a redgard woman being held down singlehandedly by the paladin. Saadia looked terrified by the Alki'r warriors.

The leader turned to me. "You have our, and hammerfel's, eternal gratitude, Lord...?" I guess he is asking for my name.

"Erato." When I introduced myself his eyes widened...what?

"Erato? As in, the Necromancer?" well I wasn't expecting to be widely known so fast...eh, whatever.

"Hmm, seems like my reputation proceeds me." He stared at me for a second, considering something. At last he seemed to come to a conclusion.

"I see...we will make sure to handover this traitors corpse after her execution." I chuckled.

"Well, as pleasant as this was, I am afraid that I will have to cut this short. You see, the Jarl is expecting me." So saying I turn to the guards. "Men, help those fine gentlemen transport that traitor to the stables, will you?" After receiving nods I left, throwing a 'goodbye' over my shoulder to the Redgards.

Making my way thru whiterun I pass the temple of talos. I don't know why but it looks a little like the notre dame cathedral. With those two huge rectangle towers. I will have to visit this place eventually. I might even have enough luck to recruit some paladins, with them worshipping me and all. Well, let us see what the Jarl wants.

I approached the doors to Dragon's Reach. The guard at the doors opened them when he spotted me.

Inside, all manner of maids, cooks and waiters scrambled about. At the table in the middle there were seven chairs. The one at the table's head was visibly prepered for the jarl. On the right there were Vignar Gray-Mane in the middle of the three chairs. In the furthest chair from the jarls throne on its left sat a nord warrior.

He was clad in the armor of talos' legion. Besides him on the tables edge leaned a steal grate sword . His gray beard spilled over the front of his shining armor. The hair in a ponytail was of the same colour. He looked out onto the assembled people with a dark blue gaze, and his face set into a stern expression. This was Torilf, the grandmaster of the talos order. With his level 43 his physical stats far exceeded mine. Fortunately, he was on my side. At least I guessed so, with him being a paladin of talos.

On the other side the three chairs were taken by the captain of the guard, Olfrid Battle-Born and Proventus Avenicci.

The chair closest to the throne on what I could only call the Pro-Stormcloak side was empty with Lydia standing behind it. So I guessed it was for me. Stepping out of the shadows I showed myself to the guests.

The moment Torilf saw me he basically ripped himself from the chair and with a yell of 'HAIL DRAGONBORN' he saluted me.

With the rest giving me normal gratings, I sunk into the chair provided for me. We exchanged some small talk, waiting for the jarl to arrive. When he did we all stood up. With him sitting we did the same.

So, basically, those meetings were a thing accuring every month. I just wasn't invited, since I didn't own any actual land... That they knew of. Keeping that in mind, I zoned out as the usual procedure for such meetings was followed.

Deciding 'fuck it' I started using the gacha tokens.

Would you like to use five (5) gacha tokens

Clicking yes, I stared at the loading screen for the lottery. After it was done, I got my rewards.

... Molag's balls... I got Mannimarco's staff. It took a lot of effort not to grin like a lunatic. Then something the jarl said reached my ears.

"The stormcloaks had given us an ultimatum to join them... We shall discuss it now. "

Oh, this is going to be fun. Time to get those idiots to join us. Those who won't agree? Well, I always welcome more corpses.
