Chp. 12: Initiation Generation Pt. 2
Amphitheater
Back in the Amphitheater, The student body continues to watch the initiation as the first-year students had all found their partners.
"Looks like the last pair of partners have been made," Robert said.
"Somehow Emerald and Mercury finding each other and becoming partners doesn't surprise me," Yang said.
"Not even in the slightest," Allen agreed.
"What about Oscar and Ilia? Do you guys think they'll be okay with each other being partners?" Blake asked. "I mean, Ilia still feels a bit uncomfortable being around humans."
"I'm sure Ilia will warm up," Rebecca replied.
"Hey Ruby. You and Yang seem to know who the boy who's become Azumi's partner is. What's he like?" Kelly asked.
"We don't know him. Uncle Qrow met him first and told us a bit about him," Ruby answered.
"He told us that he's a huge fan of RWBY in Brazil and that his childhood was a bit of a difficult one because he's autistic. It became harder for him when his mother died from COVID," Yang said.
"After his aura got unlocked, he started sabotaging drug trafficking rings and preventing robberies and other stuff. But one day, his girlfriend died when Watson fought a drug lord," Ruby explained.
"I read something about that online. That was him?" Britney asked.
"Poor bastard," Robert said.
"You got that right. Wish him luck with Azumi," Nora said.
Emerald Forest
Meanwhile back in the Emerald Forest, Azumi and Watson walked through the woods looking around to find the temple.
"You're that superhero from Tokyo?!" Watson asked.
"Yep. I've gotten a lot of attention from it," Azumi answered.
"But did your identity get exposed?" Watson asked.
"Yeah, but just because my secret identity got exposed, doesn't mean I'm gonna stop saving and protecting people," Azumi answered.
"That's true I suppose," Watson said.
The two brushed some bushes away and looked to see the temple housing the relics.
Meanwhile in another part of the forest, Jesse and Jacket were walking through the woods in search of the temple.
"How long until we get to that fucking temple?" Jacket asked.
"I guess we'll get there when we get there," Jesse answered.
They stopped in their tracks upon hearing a twig snap in the distance. Jacket and Jesse turned to see a small skull-like creature, with three pairs of eyes, a pair of horns and several tentacles. Like many Grimm it had markings on its skull.
"What the hell is that?" Jacket asked.
"I don't know. But we can easily take it," Jesse answered.
Suddenly, four King Taijitus slithered out in the open and approached the Tentacle Grimm.
"Oh... fuck..." Jesse muttered.
Meanwhile not far off, Oscar and Ilia were walking through the forest, looking for the temple. Suddenly, they heard screaming as they both stopped.
"Someone's in trouble," Oscar said.
"And they're not far from here," Ilia said.
They then noticed Jesse and Jacket running up towards them.
"Run bitches! RUN!" Jacket yelled.
Jesse and Jacket ran passed a confused Oscar and Ilia. The two turned around to see what the two boys were running from. Their facial expressions turned fearful upon seeing what was chasing them. Ilia and Oscar turned around and started to run away, following Jesse and Jacket.
Abandoned Temple
Meanwhile at the Temple, Azumi and Watson walked on to the floor and observed the relics on the pedestals that are revealed to be dice of several kinds.
"Dice? The relics are nothing but a bunch of dice?" Azumi asked with a confused look on her face.
"Professor Ozpin does choose different relics each year. RWBY and JNPR's relics were chess pieces, and CFVY's relics were stone tablets that resembled playing cards," Watson replied.
"Makes you wonder if Professor Ozpin is into board and card games," Azumi said.
"Let's take that one," Watson said, point at a pedestal with a four-sided die
He steps up to the pedestal and takes the die and stuffs it in his pocket. They both stopped as they heard the sound of footsteps approaching. Watson and Azumi both turned to see Emerald and Mercury approaching. Watson gains an excited look on his face.
"Oh my God! It's Emerald and Mercury!" he exclaimed.
"Looks like we got a fan," Mercury said with a shrug as Emerald rolled her eyes.
"Weren't these two involved in the global terrorist attacks months ago?" Azumi asked with a raised eyebrow.
"To be fair, we did help take down Cinder and turned ourselves in. And we were given the chance to become Huntsmen to fix what we've done. Doesn't that count?" Mercury asked.
"It's not enough for those who've lost their friends and loved ones," Azumi answered.
Emerald looked down in guilt.
"Oh come on. Now that's not fair," Mercury said.
"Oh, and you think natural disasters are? Or power hungry villains? Hm?! Or catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities? No! The world is full of unfairness. It's a hero's job to combat that unfairness. Or in this case a Huntsman or Huntress' job," Azumi explained.
"Did you just quote Shota Aizawa from My Hero Academia?" Watson asked.
"Yes. Yes I did," Azumi answered with a proud smile.
Emerald rolled her eyes as Mercury gave a confused look at Azumi.
"Run!" a voice called.
Everyone turned to see where the voice came from. Running out of the woods was Jesse, Jacket, Oscar, and Ilia. As they make it half way across to the temple a large Grimm bursts out of the woods. The Grimm had eight heads of the four King Taijitus with bone-like structures on its head and the Tentacle Grimm as its torso.
"That's a big Grimm," Watson said with widened eyes.
"It looks like a Yamata no Orochi," Azumi said.
"A what?" Emerald asked.
"The eight-headed serpent myth of Japan," Azumi replied. "Let's just call it an Orochi."
'Oscar, Jesse, Ilia, and Jacket all made it to the temple as Azumi steps in front of everyone.
"Get behind me!" she said.
The Orochi slithered closer and closer to the group as Azumi got into a stance.
"Sonic... BOOM!" Azumi activates her semblance, creating a shockwave pushing the eight-headed Grimm back.
"Get your relics and let's get the fuck out of here!" Watson yelled as he had his ears covered.
Ilia grabbed a twenty-sided die from a pedestal as Mercury grabbed another from another pedestal, while Jacket grabbed a four-sided die.
"Azumi! Let's go!" Watson called out to his partner.
Azumi stops her yell as the group then starts to run away. The Orochi slithers after the group as it moves up in front of them. The heads slithered around the group preparing to strike.
"It's circling around us!" Ilia shouted.
"Not for long it isn't!" Watson said.
He pulls out his karambit knives and rushes over to one of the King Taijitu heads. The head tried to bite at Watson, but he slashed at its eye, making it reel back in pain. Another head slithers towards Watson from the side.
"Look out you idiot!" Jacket yelled as he ran towards the second head.
He pulled out his shotgun and fired a couple shots at the head, catching its attention. Jacket transformed his shotgun into his bat and gave the second head a couple whacks to its face. The second head tries to bite at Jacket, but he jumps on top of its head avoiding the attack. He held on to the King Taijitu head as it tried to shake him off.
Two of the Orochi's heads approaches Oscar and Ilia. Oscar pulled out a hilt and pressed the switch on the side. The hilt extended out into a cane. He and Ilia rushed at the oncoming heads as Ilia slashed at one of the two heads, while Oscar gave several quick jabs at the other head with his cane. Oscar whacks the head in the face, making it reel back, while Ilia jabs the first head and electrocutes it.
Azumi rushes over to help Watson, but another Orochi head slithers in front of her, blocking her path. Azumi transformed One For All into her bow and shot a couple fireballs at the head, making it hiss in pain.
Two heads lunged at Emerald and Mercury, but disappeared from view. The heads stopped and looked around in confusion for a moment until a chain was suddenly wrapped around both their necks. Emerald swung around the heads from her Kusarigama while shooting at them with her other weapon. Mercury ran up one of the necks and leaped into the air then fired shot after shot at the two heads with Talaria.
Jesse slashed at the remaining King Taijitu head with his machetes, as it hissed in pain. He activates his semblance as everything around him slows down. Jesse jumps on top of the head and slashes at both its eyes a few time, before slicing off its fangs. He jumps off the King Taijitu head and the environment around him speeds up again. Jesse watched as the head swayed its head back and forth in pain from the damage he had done to it. Jesse glanced at the Tentacle Grimm torso and then got an idea.
"Guys! Got for the torso. Maybe we can kill this motherfucker!" he shouted.
"He's right! Go for the Grimm in the center and the other merged Grimm will perish along with it!" Oscar shouted.
Watson yells as he activates his semblance. Just as the head he was attacking lunged at him, Watson grabbed it by its front fangs and then yanked them out of its mouth, causing it to flail away. He turns his attention towards Mercury.
"Mercury, heads up!" he called out.
Watson hurled the broken fangs at Mercury as the latter kicked the fangs toward the Tentacle Grimm torso. The fangs impaled two of the Grimm's eyes as it and the King Taijitu heads all cried out and squirmed in pain. The entire Orochi then fell to the ground and died as it died in a large pillar of smoke.
"Good job, guys," Jesse said.
"Yeah! Go us!" Azumi exclaimed.
"Let's get back with the relics," Oscar said.
Amphitheater
Later at night in the Amphitheater, Professor Ozpin stands on the stage next to Hera and tree other students next to her as their faces fill the holographic screen.
The first person is a boy wearing a black hoodie with black dragon scales on them and a sapphire blue fairy tail emblem on the back plus sapphire blue dragon markings on it. He also wore a pair of black jeans with a white dragon pattern on it, black, white, and gold addidas hightops, and a white under armor shirt underneath. He hair was dyed sapphire blue and his skin was light brown.
The second was a young woman wearing white jacket with a black under armor shirt underneath and a purple fairy tail emblem on the back, light blue jeans, black vans shoes, wearing small ankle reached white Nike socks. Her shoulder length hair was dyed hollow purple and her skin was the same as the boy's.
The third is a girl with long black hair draped over her left shoulder and blue eyes. She wears a pair of dark gray shoes with black knee high socks, a pair of dark blue short-shorts, a cyan shirt held up by dark blue straps tied around her neck in a bow, and a light brown glove on her left hand.
"Hera Kingsley, Ronin and Rin Ferrer, and Liberty Beckett. The four of you received the six-sided die, From this day forward you will be known as Team HRRB (Herb) Led by Hera Kingsley," Ozpin announced.
The audience applauded as Ruby narrowed her eyes at Rin and Ronin. She widened her eyes as she grew a stunned look on her face. Weiss, Blake, and Yang, and JNPR, CFDT, and GRMA soon noticed the look on Ruby's face.
"What's wrong, Ruby?" Weiss asked.
"Those two. Ronin and Rin. Look at their eyes," Ruby replied as she pointed at the Ferrers.
Everyone looked at Ronin and Rin very closely and after a short moment, their expressions changed to shock. Their eyes were silver.
"They have..." Kelly spoke with hesitation.
"Silver eyes," Kendra finished.
"We should asked those two some questions when we get the chance," Ren said.
As the newly made Team HRRB made their way off the stage as Oscar, Ilia, Mercury, and Emerald stepped up onto the stage.
"Oscar Pine, Mercury Black, Ilia, Amitola, and Emerald Sustrai. The four of you received the twenty-sided die, From this day forward you will be known as Team OBSA (Obsidian). Led by Oscar Pine," Ozpin announced.
The audience applauded as Oscar gave a look of surprise for a moment before smiling.
"Congratulations young man," Ozpin said.
The newly made Team OBSA walked off the stage as Watson, Azumi, Jacket, and Jesse walked onto the stage as their faces appeared on the screen.
"Azumi Fukushima, Alexander Watson, Jesse Jack, and Ornell Ray. The four of you received the four-sided die, From this day forward you will be known as Team JAAR (Jasper). Led by Jesse Jack," Ozpin announced.
The audience applauded once more as Jesse gave a look of surprise. Jacket approaches his partner and slaps him in the back.
"Well, look at you being the big man on top," Jacket said.
"It looks like things are shaping up to be... another interesting year," Ozpin said.
Author's Note: RWBY: Arrowfell is out and I hope you all enjoy it! New characters from the game will be introduced later on in the future.
And in other news, Arryn Zech has deleted her twitter account. It's possible that she may have left Rooster Teeth as well. It is currently unknown if she will continue to reprise her roll as Blake or not. I have also found some evidence of Rooster Teeth having a history of use of racial slurs. It's so bad that they had written the N-word on a white board.
Gavin Free, Michael Jones, and Geoff Ramsey who had participated in the abuse of the employees had tried to apologize, and Geoff tried to blame this an getting drunk on alcohol, but to me, their apologies come off as cheap. Alcohol in my opinion doesn't make you do vile actions, it just reveals your true character. Geoff from what I've heard was one of the worst. The reason why I say this is because whenever the whole department calls someone a homophobic/racial slur, or some other nickname, it takes one person to do it, and one of them was Geoff. In his case, he runs Achievement Hunter, and if he were to call someone a name, then everyone else will do it too, claiming that he's the boss, it's automatically funny, and that it's okay to do that.
One youtuber suggested that the employees that have faced all the terrible treatment, including the ones that no longer work at Rooster Teeth, should all band together and file a class action lawsuit against the company and sue them for every cent they have. And honestly, they should, because at this point, Rooster Teeth is just beyond redemption.
In other news, I will in the future will write up a new fanfic. Date of release is still in planning
