Two days had passed since Sophocles and Vikavolt won a new Soothe Bell and a Z-Ring (the inclusion of Sophocles' Z-Ring having finally rounded out everybody having one in their possession, giving them self-qualifications for the upcoming Alola League).
Now, it was Friday and the gang was deserving of a well-earned break from the excitement the Vikavolt Race left behind, taking a field trip out to sea for a special fishing class as the gang all stood on rocky platforms with fishing rods at hand that are already cast.
To make the trip even more interesting for them, Tsukumaro was also brought in as an honorary student once more upon Kukui's request, the old advisor curious about fishing and wanting to see what it's like to 'fish for Pokemon'. As they would be having a field trip to the sea for their fishing class, Sarah thought that it would be a perfect opportunity to have him get used to the wild Water Type Pokemon that inhabit the ocean as another learning experience for him.
Not wanting to be left behind, Phoe-Phoe, Absol, Whismcott, Togepi, Xatu, Oliver, Mae Ling, and Mercurr decided to join him on their field trip.
With Sarah and Race, they also decided to have Telsa, Adira, Deste, Esme, Hydro, Hurricane, Nebby, Nebula, Aqua, Dracovish, Milotic, Oshawott, Blitz, Bella, Robbie, Star, Tou-Tou, and Silvally tag along while the rest of their family rest up back home. It worked out well for Oshawott, Milotic, Aqua, Esme, Deste, Hydro, and Hurricane as they enjoyed being out in the wide blue ocean as they swam to their hearts' content, the ocean seeming rather peaceful for the two shy Sea Serpents.
In the meantime, Ash, Sophocles, Lillie, Mallow, and Kiawe along with their Pokemon were all on one large platform fishing together as they tried to see which Water Pokemon they can catch.
"Not one catch today, not even a single bite," Kiawe complained, not getting anything.
"Having patience while fishing is quite an art," Lillie commented calmly and sweetly.
It wasn't long before some of the gang caught a Pokemon at random; Mallow, to her horror, ended up catching a Bruxish but Tsareena was able to kick the aggressive Gnash Teeth Pokemon away from her before it can attack them, Lillie hooked a Dragonair and was mesmerized as she witnessed it letting out a majestic cry and caused some clouds to roll in before it went back into the water, Ash caught a baby Spheal that was having too much fun bouncing on his head, Sophocles caught an extra large Pyukumuku that was accidentally flung in a familiar hothead's face, and even Turtonator involuntary caught a Shellder with his tail as he was snoozing with Togedemaru.
The only one in the group that hasn't caught anything yet was Kiawe who ended up being flustered and frustrated that everybody else had hooked a Water Type Pokemon while he lagged behind with nothing. "Grrrrr, why am I the only one who hasn't caught anything?!" he exploded in anger and frustration before he slumped down in despair.
"Hey, where are Sarah, Race, and Lana?" Ash questioned, seeing that they were missing some people.
"And, what happened to Tsukumaro?" added Sophocles, also not seeing Sarah's godfather with them.
"Over down that way," Lillie smiled, pointing at the quartet with Sarah and Lana walking inside Aqua and Brionne's water balloons with Blitz, Sandy, and Star joining them.
Race and Tsukumaro opted to ride aboard Deste and Esme while the rest that can't fly rode on Nebby and Nebula's backs and Hydro, Hurricane, and Silvally (using his Water Memory) swam alongside them, the Tidal Class dragon siblings being as happy as they can be being out in the open sea once more.
"No way!"
"They're literally all the way down there?" the Kanto Trainer and Electric Type student cried in shock.
"Gee, Lana, you guys are getting better with your water balloons," Sarah told her second best friend.
"Yeah, Brionne's on a roll today thanks to you and Aqua teaching us how to blow them better," Lana smiled.
"Totally, I'll be blowing up more of these without them popping in no time!" Brionne cheered as she swam alongside her idol of a sister figure.
"Keep it up and you might make Ida and her Primarina proud while giving them a run for their money when you eventually put on your own water balloon show," chuckled Aqua.
"Princess, Ms. Lana, I'm not so sure about the purpose of this 'fishing' you're implying," Tsukumaro replied, getting the girls' attention. "I mean, are you sure this fishing is more than what it sounds like judging from what your friends are going through?"
"That's the point, Tsukumaro. The whole point of fishing, like everything else, is to have fun and be patient," Sarah implied.
"She's got ya there, Old Man," added Race. "This trip will help you know more about the different Water Type Pokemon that have since existed and shared this world with humans throughout the past 500 years."
"Some of these Water Pokemon even existed long after your time which is why Kukui wanted you to come as an honorary student today when he heard how curious you are about fishing, it's really fun!" Lana explained.
"Yeah! Fun, fun, fun!" Dracovish chirped, feeling happy to be in the open ocean as well as he swam with his tiny flippers.
"You might as well chill out, Old Man," Silvally smirked cheekily, much to Tsukumaro's chagrin. "It'll make your day go easier now that Mask Head is out of our minds and he and his crew had bitten the dust."
"...If you rascals say so," Tsukumaro said, doubtfully.
However, as the gang continued to enjoy themselves while on their little field trip, little did Lana, Sarah, Race, Tsukumaro, and their party know that they were about to be in for the ride of their lives. All of them are blissfully unaware of a pair of giant-sized Pokemon swimming from underneath them, the pair that would turn out to be two legendary titans of the sea whose lives would be in danger and would eventually need their help to survive.

Pokemon Sun & Moon - The Warrior Princess
As the gang cast their fishing lines again to see what else they can catch, Kiawe kept on waiting as he hoped to have something finally snagged on his line. His patience was thus rewarded as he did hook something and he quickly tried to pull it out but he found that something was really struggling against him and didn't want to let go.
"Here we go! Ngh-This one is huge!" Kiawe alerted, trying hard to stay on his feet and fight back as he tried to reel in whatever he caught. "You got something?!" "Hey, he's about to fall in!" Ash and Rotom-Dex cried, prompting Sophocles to come over and give him a hand although he didn't improve their luck. "Ugh, hey! We're in trouble over here," Sophocles shouted before he and Kiawe gasped as they saw whatever the latter caught starting to swim away while keeping a tight grip on his line.
"Hang on, Kiawe! Reel it in!" Ash called as he, Lillie, and Mallow joined in to assist them.
"You can do it, Kiawe!"
"Let's all catch it together!"
"Hold on to it, buddy!"
"We gotcha!"
"Wait for me!"
"Me, too!"
"Me, three!" Turtonator, Tsareena, Snowy, Mallow's Shaymin, and Togedemaru added as they joined in.
"And, us!" Pikachu, Rowlet, Torracat, and Lycanroc screamed as they assisted, straining to catch whatever was trying to get away.
"You can do it, everybody!" Rotom-Dex encouraged only for Mallow to bellow out in response, "HELP US OUT, ROTOM! RIGHT NOW!"
Rotom-Dex spluttered in shock and realization as he grabbed Lycanroc to help with Kiawe's catch, all of them continuing to strain to reel his catch in. Meanwhile, away from the others, Sarah, Lana, Race, Tsukumaro, their Pokemon, Hydro, Hurricane, Phoe-Phoe, Telsa, Adira, Deste, and Esme were enjoying themselves as they were relaxing (and in the case of the Pokemon, mythicals, and dragons' case, flying and swimming with no cares in the world) with the three teenage kids helping Tsukumaro learn how to be patient, the first step in fishing.
Right now, they were all watching Brionne and Aqua race against Tidal and Hurricane in a personal bet to see if, between them, the Pop Star and Soloist Pokemon rule the seas or the Tidal Class dragons would conquer the waters. Dracovish, on the other hand, was continuing to swim carefree as he took in the ocean and felt happy to be actually swimming out in the open ocean since his birth at last.
"Water's nice when you're out at sea, huh, Dracovish?" smiled Sarah as she turned to her Fossil Pokemon.
"Fun, very fun!" Dracovish nodded, continuing to swim but also being careful as to not get in Aqua, Brionne, Hydro, and Hurricane's way while they were racing while Nebby and Nebula were above the group as they were playing together in the skies via their levitation abilities and Deste and Emse continued to play about in the water.
"I'm bored," Tou-Tou sighed, already finding nothing to do as they watched.
"Me, too. Come on, Mom, can't we get back to the beach and do something actually fun while we wait? They've been at it for five races straight and this is the sixth one by far, let's get ready for the Pokemon League already! I NEED BATTLE ACTION!" grumbled Silvally.
"Silvally, that's not for several months and Prof. Kukui still needs to finalize everything before we can enter and prepare for the big day," Sarah replied.
"The princess is right, Silvally. The kids may all have their Z-Rings on them but unless Sir Kukui has gotten his plans ready and in motion, we have all the time in the world beforehand," Tsukumaro agreed, seeing how bored the two Synthetic Pokemon are becoming.
"Don't worry, Silvally, Tou-Tou. You know what they always say, 'patience is a virtue'," Lana reassured. But, as Lana, Sarah, Race, and Tsukumaro's party continued to enjoy themselves, their day was about to get wild when they all heard what sounded like a song that caught their attention and they looked around, trying to find the source of it.
"What was that?" gasped Bella.
"Sounds like someone's singing," Mae Ling deducted.
"Sounds like trouble by the sound of that melody," Mercurr rebutted.
But, their day was about to get crazier because without warning, Lana and Sarah along with Sandy, Blitz, and Star finding themselves being pulled along and out to sea by an unknown force before they were eventually jostled about, screaming in panic and fright as they did their best to hold on. The others in their party watched on in shock and horror as they saw the five of them being swept away by something beyond their control.
"Ms. Lana/Island Girl!" cried Tsukumaro and Race
"Oh, no!" Aqua and Brionne panicked as they raced after them, Blitz, Star, and Sandy.
"Sarah, Lana!"
"Star, Blitz, Sandy!" Hydro and Hurricane called, joining the Pop Star and Soloist Pokemon.
"They're being carried away somehow!"
"After them!" Adira and Telsa shouted, prompting the others to give chase with Nebby and Nebula using Psychic to help them chase after their party from underwater.
"What's going on?!" Lana screamed as they were dragged down to the ocean via a whirlpool.
"Something's pulling us down!" Sarah called back as they rocked and rolled in some powerful ocean currents while the rest of their party gave chase as best they could.
Back to the others; Kiawe, with everyone else's help, had finally managed to reel in what he had finally caught as they all fell back. What he did finally catch was an angry Cloyster who didn't appreciate being reeled in by a fisherman let alone being dragged from what it called home as it clamped down on Kiawe and bit him, making the poor Fire Type student panic again as he flailed about even harder.
Rotom-Dex didn't help matters much when he shot a photo of Kiawe being attacked by Cloyster as he said, "It's a Cloyster!"
"Oh no, you don't! HYYYYYYYYYAH!" Tsareena shouted as she unleashed a full-powered Trop Kick, sending Cloyster flying as it soon landed back in the water and swam off.
Kiawe breathed a heavy sigh of relief and with much gratitude, told Tsareena, "I owe you, Tsareena."
"My pleasure," Tsareena nodded with her trademark sass.
The gang was so busy reeling from their unexpected surprise from the angry Cloyster, they had no idea about Lana and Sarah's predicament and the disappearance of them and their party. Speaking of the two friends, they, Blitz, Star, and Sandy were still having a bumpy ride along another ocean current that was taking them somewhere far beyond the reach of their friends with Brionne, Aqua, Hydro, Hurricane, and the rest of their party continuing to chase after them, hoping to not lose sight of them should they get separated.
"Man, this is like some sort of roller coaster!" Sandy cried as they bumped and bounced along the current.
"I'll never ride another roller coaster if it's like this for the rest of my life!" Blitz screamed, unable to take any more of the torturous ride they were having.
"...I think I'm gonna be sick," Star moaned, feeling a little green as she tried to hold it in.
"Do it over the side once we're out of here, Star!" Sarah boomed to her Shiny Lucario.
"Help us, Brionne, Aqua!" Lana called her partner and Sarah's Primarina.
"We're trying but you're all going too fast!" Brionne fretted before something giant made itself known, it looked to be a Pokemon that had glowing red lines around it but they flickered purple as they drew closer.
There was even another Pokemon trailing behind it and it was giving loud, pained cries that sounded similar to the song that they were all hearing. Lana and Sarah could only blink in surprise as they saw the Pokemon shapes revealing themselves and start to drag them up to the surface with Brionne and Aqua following them with Hydro, Hurricane, and the rest of their party not far behind (all of them looking just as baffled when they saw the two giant Pokemon before they quickly went after them and the girls again).
With a roar from both of them, the two Pokemon broke through the surface and dragged the girls, Star, Sandy, and Blitz to a cove with Brionne, Aqua, and the rest of their party following suit, having arrived at a secluded cove where the giant Pokemon titans entered the center pool and the bubbles protecting the quintet inside burst, allowing them to land and reunite with the others safely.
"That hurt," groaned Sarah as she and Blitz fell on the ground while Lana, Sandy, and Star (still not looking so hot but holding it in as best she could) landed safely on their paws or in a crouch position.
"Ditto," Blitz agreed with a pained moan.
"Mom/Lana!"
"Aqua!"
"Oh, Brionne, thank goodness you're alright!" Sarah and Lana cried in relief as they hugged their Water Types.
"Princess, are you alright?" Tsukumaro called as he and Race and their party reunited with the two girls and their Pokemon with them, Nebby proceeding to nuzzle her out of growing concern for her safety.
"We're fine now," Sarah replied before looking at Star with concern as she saw her Shiny Lucario finally throwing up and being greener in the face as Togepi, Mae Ling, Phoe-Phoe, Absol, and Whimsicott went to help her. "Although, I don't think Star's gonna be out of bed for a while after being seasick when we get back."
"Okay, not to be a party pooper or anything but we're lost at sea because something dragged us out here," Silvally remarked.
"But, where are we?" Tou-Tou asked, looking around.
"Looks like some kind of secluded cove," Deste observed.
"Yeah, this looks like it hasn't been found by any humans at all before you guys were brought here," Esme agreed.
"Forget about where we are right now and think of something to get us out of here!" Hydro barked, starting to let her nerves get the better of her as she pointed out to the sea and Poni Island, where they and the others are at for their field trip. "Look, whatever's out there dragged us so far out, I can barely see the shore!"
The song they'd been hearing before they were dragged out to sea rang again but this time, it was much louder and clearer now that they were supposedly nearby whatever was making it.
"There it is again," Telsa remarked.
"Where's it coming from?" Oshawott questioned, whirling around to find the source of the song.
"It came from back there," Milotic answered, looking towards the cove wall and hearing the song ring out again.
"Let's climb that wall in front of us and take a look on the other side," Robbie suggested, pointing everybody towards the cove wall and getting everybody to climb to the top.
When they finally got to the top and looked down, however, they were in for quite a shock; there, lying in front of them inside the cove pool, were two giant Pokemon that panted heavily as if they had been in some pain.
One of them was a massive whale-like Pokemon with two big pectoral fins, each with four white square-shaped nails, a deep blue body, and a white chin area with two small spikes protruding under it. Above each eye are two white, oval-shaped spots and it has red stripes around its chin, eyes, dorsal fins, and torso, all of which that would glow a bright red as it was brimming with power. Finally, the tail is tattered with four trailing parts, the inner ones being smaller compared to the outer parts and its eyes are small, yellow, and shadowed with black.
The second is a giant silver-white hybrid of a dragon, Plesiosaur, and bird, having blue undersides that vary in color tone, and a ridged mouth similar to a beak despite having pointed teeth on its lower jaw. Its head has a point to the back and its eyes have pointed blue or black spikes on them. It has a long slender neck and a smooth, streamlined body with dark blue or black plate-like protrusions running down the length of its back with two smaller, more pointed ones on the end of its tail. It is covered in many scales that protect it from attacks and has large wings that resemble hands.
Everybody could hardly believe it as their jaws dropped while Lana's eyes glistened in delight as Tsukumaro first breathed, "Great Giratina..."
"Are those...?"
"They're really...?!" Sarah and Blitz balked, their eyes bugging out in shock.
"Yes, the two Titans of the Sea from Hoenn and Johto, one of them being the leader of the Legendary Birds!"
"It's Kyogre and Lugia!" Race and Lana cried, the latter suddenly halting herself as she noticed Kyogre's lines glowing purple and purple bubbles coming out of Lugia's head with a purple line on its nose, the pair looking gravely weak.
"They seem, kinda weak," Lana noticed as they all hurried down the wall to take a look at them.
Making sure to keep their distance so as to not spook Lugia and Kyogre with their presence, they all stood back while Tsukumaro looked carefully at the symptoms they were exhibiting, his worst fears for them in their current condition coming to light.
"I was afraid of this, something or somebody had just poisoned them when they both got into a fight," he informed the group.
"But, Lugia's scales were said to protect it from any attacks so it would virtually be untouchable to anybody and other Pokemon looking to capture it for money! So, what else could get through them if Pokemon attacks can't?" Xatu rebutted, looking at Lugia.
"That I don't know, old friend. But, we have to do something or they'll die from the poison."
Sarah and Lana looked at each other and nodded in agreement to a plan they already have brewing in their minds. Taking out their portable fishing rods, they placed their reels on them with Lana bringing out a lure lookalike of Misty and Sarah taking out a Pecha Berry.
Race noticed the Misty lure and asked Lana, "Lana, is that-?"
"Yes, it's a gift from Misty before she and Brock left after their Alola trip," Lana confirmed as she then brought out an antidote pack and stuck it to it. "Alright then, I'll attach the poison antidote to it, and...All set!"
Taking their fishing rods, Sarah and Lana cast them over to Kyogre and Lugia with the former eying Lugia and Lana doing the same with Kyogre. But, despite having cast their lines and bringing the antidote and the Pecha Berry closer to them, the Diving and Sea Basin Pokemon eyed them curiously before looking at the two humans before them.
"Kyogre, Lugia, eat these!" Lana called out to them before a Sludge Bomb attack landed in front of the pair and made them stumble back and drop their rods.
"Mom, Lana!"
"Princess!" Star and Tsukumaro gasped, managing to catch them as everybody looked to the attacker responsible for stopping them which was a Pokemon: a Seismitoad before it was joined by two of its pre-evolved form, Palpitoad, along with two punk-like trainers having what looked like stun guns on their hands.
"Hold it right there!" the intruding Seismitoad barked threateningly.
"A Seismitoad!"
"Palpitoad, too, both Water Types from Unova!" Oshawott and Absol gasped, narrowing their eyes and giving them glares.
Suddenly, just as Seismitoad and its Palpitoad lackeys appeared, what followed them after was a submarine shaped like a Carvanha breaching the surface before the hatch on its front opened, revealing what looked like a man that wore a pair of sunglasses, had a more muscular punk-like physique compared to the two scrawny men with him, purple swimming trunks, and a metal backpack shaped like a Pyukumuku. Lana gasped while Race gritted his teeth in anger, the latter recognizing the man to be a Pokemon Hunter from the way he was eying Kyogre and Lugia as well as them when the Seismitoad that supposedly belonged to him attacked the girls.
"I finally got 'em cornered, you meddling kids, so don't you dare try to get in my way again," the hunter sneered, snapping his fingers and signaling his lackeys to fire their pistols which fired electricity and formed a cage around the Legendary Pokemon, causing them great pain as they both roared in agony.
"Kyogre!"
"Lugia, oh no!" screamed a horrified and shocked Robbie and Bella.
"Stop it! Leave them alone!"
"Let me at 'em, let me at 'em, LET ME AT 'EM!" Tou-Tou and Silvally boomed, both of them trying to reach the trapped Legendaries but being restrained by Mercurr, Absol, Telsa, and Adira as they were forced to watch before they would do anything reckless.
"This is bad!" Lana noted.
"Cut it out, you creeps!"
"Let 'em go!" barked Sandy and Blitz angrily as they came forward and glared at the hunters.
"It was you! You're the weasels who attacked and poisoned Lugia and Kyogre, aren't you?" Race snarled dangerously.
"I had a feeling it would be humans such as you that would sink so low and fall in line with the ambitions and wishes of crooks such as Team Rocket and Team Eclipse with how you're stealing Pokemon and worse, abusing them in such an atrocious manner!" Tsukumaro spat furiously at the hunters.
"I thought I warned you brats not to get in my way, start collecting them," the hunter sneered again before he spoke through a mike to another hunter with him as he used a cannon to unleash an electric capture ray that shocked the weakened Legendaries even more and they were being pulled towards the hunter against their wills. "Even a Legendary Pokemon or two don't stand a chance against the likes of a super hotshot Pokemon Hunter like me!"
"Pokemon Hunter?!" Lana breathed in shocked anger.
Sarah seethed at the Pokemon Hunter before she declared, "Whoever you are, you're not leaving here with Kyogre and Lugia! They're mainly wild Pokemon, crucial to the balance of our world as the Beasts of the Sea, responsible for having the power to calm and give rise to even the worst storms imaginable and having complete control over the element of water and rain. You can't steal them for yourself and your own profit, you have to let them live their lives out in the wild because the wild is where they truly belong and do their duties to the fullest!"
"And, if you think selling those two for money is the case, then that's not gonna happen!" Lana added as she and Sarah took up their fishing rods again and start to cast their lines again. "Kyogre, Lugia, we're not going to let those crooks steal you!"
"Stay out of this!" Seismitoad screeched as it tried to attack them again.
"HYYYYYYAH!" Sandy and Milotic bellowed, using Double Edge and Aqua Tail to halt the evolved Vibration Pokemon's advance and knock it back, causing it to skid a few feet from them as it regained its footing and snarled at them.
"Fire!" Seismitoad continued, shooting Sludge Bomb.
"Twin Bubblebeam!" Aqua and Brionne shouted, firing Bubblebeam that stopped Sludge Bomb before Mae Ling and Oshawott joined Sandy in pummeling it again, using Power-Up Punch and Razor Shell in conjunction with his Double Edge to knock it out.
"Loser!"
"Hear, hear!" Sandy and Brionne finished proudly, glaring at the unconscious Ground/Water Type.
"That's great, you guys! We'll take over now," smiled Lana before she and Sarah shared knowing nods and they slowly made their way to Kyogre and Lugia as they waded into the lagoon, the pair still roaring in agonizing pain from the shock they were given. "Just hang tight, you guys! We'll get you out of this."
"Come on, you snot-nosed brats. Give it up, you don't want to see a grown-up man like me get mad, do ya? DO YA?!" snarled the hunter as his minions and their Palpitoad cornered the party from both sides, preparing to fight.
"Brace yourselves, everybody! I have a feeling those two and their Palpitoad are no ordinary hunters given how proficient they are!" Tsukumaro warned as they all prepared to do battle with them and the hunter and save Kyogre and Lugia.
"Got it! Everybody, Lana and I are going to do everything we can to cure Lugia and Kyogre and free them from their prison! You guys, Brionne, and Sandy watch our backs along with Race, Tsukumaro, and the others!" Sarah ordered.
"Keep them off our backs until we can get them clear of danger!" Lana added, the two of them getting affirmative calls from their Pokemon, Phoe-Phoe, Hydro, Hurricane, Deste, and Esme.
"We'll all cover the rear and box the hunters up so they don't escape with Kyogre and Lugia! Now, let's do it!" Race announced as everybody began to battle, a majority of Sarah's Pokemon, Phoe-Phoe, Hydro, Hurricane, Deste, and Esme getting to the top of the cove wall and surrounding everybody with Hurricane, Hydro, Esme, and Deste trapping the hunters from the cove entrance (the Sea Serpents doing their best to fight their shy natures to help protect the two captured Legendaries).
"Palpitoad, Mud Shot! Go!" the hunter grunt from the left shouted to his Palpitoad as it fired a powerful string of Mud Shot attacks at Mae Ling, Mercurr, Absol, Oliver, and Xatu who charged forward to attack while Whimsicott stayed behind with Phoe-Phoe to watch over Togepi as she was too young to help fight.
"Oliver, Xatu, Mercurr, use Psychic Fangs, Dragon Breath, and Air Slash!" Tsukumaro bellowed, allowing his three chosen Pokemon to attack first with the first Palpitoad managing to dodge their attacks.
"Absol, Mae Ling! Aura Sphere and Flamethrower, now!" the Disaster Pokemon and the female Lunar Wolf Pokemon readied their attacks and fired at the Palpitoad, the pre-evolved Vibration Pokemon having no time to counter or dodge as it was hit hard and knocked into the lagoon.
"Palpitoad, use Hydro Pump!" the grunt on the right shouted, prompting his Palpitoad to unleash a strong Hydro Pump as Bella and Robbie charged forward to attack it, dodging just in time before they can be hit.
"Quick Hammer!" Race screamed, allowing Bella and Robbie to use Quick Attack and Wood Hammer in a combo to knock the Palpitoad back even if it tried to stand its ground.
"Use Double Edge/Liquidation, go!" Sarah and Lana finished, allowing Sandy and Aqua to finish the job as they helped knock the Palpitoad out cold.
The hunter, however, compared to Lana, Sarah, and their party, was starting to have trouble; by now, Lugia and Kyogre were now fueled by their desire to be free and not be captured by a Pokemon Hunter, angrily fighting back against the capture ray still trapping them and the poison they're still inflicted with as they started giving the hunter and his team no end of grief.
"Huh? Give the ray more power, right now!" the hunter barked to his submarine man, catching Tsukumaro's attention as he turned to the hunter and the captured Legendaries before taking out his wand.
"Going somewhere with those two, young man?" the old advisor glared, pointing his wand and using Flipendo to fire a Knockback Jinx that rocked the hunter's submarine when it hit it, the sight of the submarine being attacked giving Esme and Deste an idea when they saw this as they nodded to each other and dived down out of sight and under the submarine.
"Come on, Lana, let's roll!" Sarah said to her second best friend, Lana nodding in agreement as they both cast their lines with the Pecha Berry and poison antidote on them with the Water Type student declaring, "Kyogre, Lugia, it's time for you to be healed!"
The grunts and their Palpitoad turned out to be stronger than they looked; despite the beatings they took, the Palpitoad were both able to endure the hits and keep standing as they wanted to continue fighting so that the heroes would be out of the picture and Kyogre and Lugia would be theirs and their boss' for the taking. All the while as Race, Tsukumaro, and their Pokemon duked it out with them, Lana and Sarah waded deeper into the lagoon and closer to the trapped Legendaries, still determined to give them their cures for their being poisoned.
"It's okay, you two. They're right here, the berry and the antidote are within reach. Please, take them," Sarah coaxed.
"What are they doing now? Seismitoad, use Focus Blast!" the hunter spat, having his recovered Pokemon try to pull a fast one on them.
Before Lana and Sarah could react in time when they saw the Focus Blast coming at them, Nebby jumped in front of them and tanked the Fighting Type attack, saving them from being blown back and ruining their next attempt to save Lugia and Kyogre.
"Nebby!"
"Thanks, Nebby!" the two girls called out.
"Mama, Auntie Lana, hurry! Rescue Mr. Kyogre and Mr. Lugia!" Nebby shouted as he eyed them.
"Right!" They shouted before they cast their lines again but closer with Lana shouting, "Lugia, Kyogre, this way! HYAH!"
They managed to cast their lines as close as they could get to the trapped Legendaries, the Diving and Sea Basin Pokemon finally catching sight of them and preparing to take the lures as the hunter's submarine's capture ray tried to pour in the juice needed to keep the electric cage field intact.
"Come on...Urgh! YOU CAN DO IT, LUGIA, KYOGRE!" screamed Sarah as loud as she could.
Then, as if hearing the little princess' encouraging words and sensing her and Lana's determination to help them, Kyogre and Lugia managed to snag the lures and bite down on them, taking the antidote and the Pecha Berry offered to them after one final last-ditch effort to fight back against their captors.
"They ate them!" Lana cheered.
"Yes!" Sarah barked with a proud grin.
"Island Girl, Lana! Reel them in, hurry!" Race shouted as he, Tsukumoro, and the Pokemon continued to fight off the Palpitoad duo and Seismitoad, the girls doing so as they fought against the hunters as well as Kyogre and Lugia's survival instincts as small but powerful waves crashed against them.
"Lana!"
"Be careful!"
"Hang in there, Mom!" Brionne, Sandy, and Aqua cheered, watching the pair struggle as they were slowly dragged with the captured Legendaries into the sea from the lagoon.
"HE-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA! What, are you trying to catch them? You're wasting your time," taunted the hunter.
"Shut up!" Sarah snapped, she and Lana not caring what the hunter said as they fought back.
"You're going down!" the Palpitoad duo spat at the others.
"Mae Ling, Calm Mind plus Power-Up Punch!" Tsukumaro shouted, allowing Mae Ling to focus her energies through Calm Mind and raise her Special Attack and Special Defense and take down the first Palpitoad with a charged-up Power-Up Punch.
"Robbie, Bella, Iron Ball!" Race bellowed, Robbie and Bella now using a combo from Shadow Ball and Iron Tail as the male Mimikyu shot Shadow Ball and Bella used Iron Tail to whack at it like it was a hockey puck and send it flying towards the second Palpitoad and knock it back to the wall.
While all this was happening, Esme and Deste used their enhanced bites to carefully and quietly tear away at the metal surface of the submarine and subtlely damage it without the hunter and his team noticing. Now, even though they're normally shy creatures and peaceful at best given the nature of their Sea Serpent species, if they ever have to fight to survive or help others in need, Esme and Deste were willing to make an exception and with their enhanced agility and bites, this was no different. Hydro and Hurricane were shocked when they saw them finally getting into the fray but realizing that they've had an idea on how to beat the hunters, they caught on and joined in to help them, the Tide Glider and Windwalker using gradual Water Bursts and Spraying Water that contained traces of acid in it to subtly damage the submarine and building up on them as they go along.
As Race, Tsukumaro, and the Pokemon continued to fight hard with the Palpitoad duo and Seismitoad starting to lose ground against the heroes as they fought back with no mercy, Lana and Sarah continued to fight to reel Kyogre and Lugia in as they struggled against their captors and the healing effects of the antidote and the Pecha Berry (the effects of them kicking in as Kyogre's stripes start to glow all red again as they shift between red and purple and the purple bubbles and line starting to fade from Lugia's face).
Things were also about to go from bad to worse for the hunters as the leading hunter noticed the damage being done by Hurricane, Hydro, Esme, and Deste but had no idea what was going on until he saw that the capture ray was suddenly starting to fizzle out, sparks were streaking from his submarine's damaged parts like crazy, and explosions were happening around it as the damage grew without warning.
"What are you all doing!?" the hunter shouted, starting to panic in his frustration.
"Boss, we've confirmed a growing level of damage done to the rear end and underbelly of the vessel! It's affected the power of our sub's new capture ray!" a grunt inside the submarine answered frantically.
"It's what?!" the hunter shrieked in shock and disbelief as he turned back and saw the two Tidal Class dragons and Deste and Esme continuing to damage the submarine. "What the hell are those things?! Grrrr! Change of plans, get Kyogre and Lugia into the ship, now!"
"Roger!" the grunt replied, pulling off what is the hunters' last-ditch effort to capture Kyogre and Lugia as they cut off the capture ray and opened the mouth of the sub, preparing to charge at and take them in.
"Kyogre, Lugia, come to us!" Lana bellowed, she and Sarah still fighting as they used all of their strength to reel them in despite continuing to be dragged into the sea.
Eventually, the antidote and the Pecha Berry did their job; within the next few seconds, they had cleared out the poison coursing through the Legendary Pokemon's bodies as Kyogre's stripes were back to their normal red and Lugia's fever from the poison was gone along with the purple bubbles and the purple line on his beak. This was the time for them to kick back as they summoned their full power with two powerful roars, giving rise to some storm clouds as a powerful downpour drenched the entire area.
"The poison antidote and the Pecha Berry worked!"
"Kyogre, Lugia!" Lana and Sarah cried with relief and happiness for the two Legendaries.
Returning to the others, Snowy was able to sense the storm conjured up by Lugia and Kyogre and she looked out to where the cove was as she had a funny feeling something was wrong.
"Mommy, look," Snowy called to Lillie, she and Mallow being the first ones to notice the storm.
"Oh my, look at the sky over there!"
"Looks like we're going to have some rain," the Ice Type and Grass Type students said, surprised.
Returning to Lana, Sarah, and their party, they were able to drive the Palpitoad hunters back to their damaged submarine along with Seismitoad as they now realized that with Kyogre and Lugia no longer poisoned and back at full strength, thanks to whom they saw as an old man and meddling kids, their mission to capture the Beasts of the Sea was foiled and they're left out high and dry without their paychecks on them.
"How dare you, you meddling kids and your pesky old man?!" seethed the master hunter as Hydro, Hurricane, Esme, and Deste returned to their group when they had finished with them.
"This is gonna get bumpy!" Race shouted, bracing himself for Kyogre and Lugia's storm.
"You're right! Everybody but Absol and Phoe-Phoe, back inside, quick!" Tsukumaro agreed, getting Oliver, Mae Ling, Xatu, Togepi, Whimsicott, and Mercurr back in their Pokeballs safe for Absol and Phoe-Phoe.
"You too, Robbie, Bella! I don't want you getting washed away in this mess!" Race told Robbie and Bella, the two of them nodding reluctantly and with worry as he returned them to their balls for their own safety.
Once she and Lana were sure that Lugia and Kyogre were back to normal and no longer poisoned, Sarah quickly packed away her fishing rod and reel and swam up to the Diving Pokemon as she held its face and gingerly caressed it.
"Lugia! Are you okay, were you hurt?" she shouted so it can hear her.
Lugia looked at the little princess before it gently smiled and said through Telepathy, "I'm alright now and so is Kyogre, thanks to you and your friend, princess."
Sarah smiled back with a small chuckle but the happy moment was soon cut short when Kyogre suddenly started to thrash about in the water. It did not take too kindly to the hunters poisoning it and wanting a little payback for the hell that was wrought upon it and Lugia, it slammed down on its back after jumping in the water which caused massive waves to appear that battered at Lana as she held her ground and Lugia did its best to shield Sarah from Kyogre's wrath. The same cannot be said for Race, Tsukumaro, and the rest of Sarah's family as they were knocked about by the waves unprotected (with Phoe-Phoe trying and failing to fight the storm to stay upright before she was knocked into the water, too, unlike Nebby and Nebula as they braved the bad weather) along with the hunters as they got the full brunt of the choppy sea, the waves crashing into the cove wall behind the group as a result.
The resulting crash knocked Lana and Sarah's entire party into the sky as they screamed in panic, threatening to be lost at sea should they eventually drop at a spot far away from them and in the open ocean. This caused Lana and Sarah to breach the surface as they gasped for air and noticed their party being thrown out to sea.
"NO! Lugia, help us!"
"Brionne, Aqua! Help everybody out!" the girls shouted to Lugia, Aqua, and Brionne, allowing the Pop Star and Soloist Pokemon to regroup and use Bubblebeam to safely trap Race, Phoe-Phoe, Absol, and Tsukumaro in water balloons while Lugia used Psychic to put Sarah on its back and it hurried towards the others that are not saved.
"Hold on tight," Lugia warned the princess as it used Psychic again to increase its speed and safely catch Star, Blitz, Silvally, and Tou-Tou on its back before flying back to the cove.
Nebby and Nebula joined them as Hurricane, Oshawott, Hydro, Milotic, Dracovish, Deste, and Esme dove back into the ocean and rejoined their family while Lana was knocked about in the waves yet firmly holding her stance.
"Alright! WAAA-!" Lana cheered before she was suddenly dragged along by Kyogre.
True to its need for revenge, Kyogre dove down below as it took Lana along for a wild ride before it circled 'round and then resurfaced underneath the hunters' submarine and knocked it into the air as it jumped before it dove back down with her in tow. The hunters screamed as they were sent flying far away from the heroes and the Legendaries themselves, eventually coming to a stop at Hau'Oli Beach where Officer Jenny and the Rogues of the Law were having some time off until they nudged their hats up and eyed them up, causing the hunters to panic and flinch as they held each other in fear.
Still lost in its rage, Kyogre continue to swim in a giant fit as it dragged Lana along, much to the growing worry of everyone else that tried to find out where they are within the cove's borders.
"Lana!"
"Auntie!" Sarah and Sandy cried.
"The water's deeper here!"
"And, Auntie's being pulled by that mean old whale!" Blitz and Nebula freaked.
"Somebody help her, quickly!" Absol shouted.
"Come on, follow me!" Brionne shouted, diving after Lana to save her best friend with Deste, Esme, Hydro, Hurricane, Aqua, and Dracovish joining her in their rescue attempt.
Leading her small entourage, Brionne chased after Lana and Kyogre as fast as she could, pushing herself harder and faster than she had ever done so before. She knew everybody had managed to save Kyogre and Lugia but with the Sea Basin Pokemon in a fit of rage and attacking anything and anyone that it deemed to be a threat even though the true villains were dealt with, it had crossed a line when it dragged Lana along for a wild ride. Now, she'll stop at nothing to do what it takes to help end Kyogre's rage and save her partner; no longer was she a shy and timid Popplio bullied by Team Skull, she was now a stronger and happier Pokemon who had a family and she will do what she must to protect her mother figure at all costs.
The rescue attempt didn't go unnoticed as Lana eventually saw the Sea Serpents, the Tide Glider, the Windwalker, Dracovish, Aqua, Milotic, and Brionne coming after her and Kyogre. Once they were close enough, Brionne dove under her partner to have her grab her back with Aqua, Deste, and Esme trying to give her a hand as they reached out with their flippers and tails. But, the Hoenn Water Type Legendary was relentless as it dragged her further down deeper, and yet, Brionne didn't give up as she continued to push herself to reach Lana while the others tried to keep pace with them.
Each time they would get close to Lana and rescue her, Kyogre, sensing their presence even while in front of them, did whatever it could to shake them all off as it moved about. Lana did her best to hold on to her fishing rod and Kyogre as best she could but while she was indeed holding her breath, she was starting to lose air the more she was underwater and if she didn't breach the surface soon, she could eventually drown and die.
"They're getting away!"
"Kyogre's too fast and Lana's too far away from us!"
"Doesn't that horrible brute knows what it's doing to her?!"
"Big giant whale bad and mean, hurt Lana, hurt her bad doing this!"
"We're never going to catch them in time!" Aqua, Hurricane, Milotic, Dracovish, and Hydro fretted as they all continued to chase after Kyogre and Lana.
"We just have to try to fight back, Water Pokemon to Water Pokemon!" Brionne retorted before she made one final push to reach her best friend, continuing to swim harder and faster than she usually would. "Hang on, Lana!"
"Brionne, wait! What are you doing, you're going to do a number on yourself! Don't go crazy!" Aqua shouted worriedly for Brionne.
"Aqua, I lost my best friend once when that monster took her for a joyride! I'm not gonna lose her again!" Brionne spat, her determination to save Lana growing as she swam after them. "LANA! NEVER GIVE UUUUUP!"
At that moment, her love for Lana and her determination to save the one person that not only became her best friend but also a savior and a mother figure when she was first found as a broken and beaten Popplio had burned so brightly, it was more than enough for her to be covered in a familiar blue and white light. The sight of the light shocked Lana, Deste, Esme, Hydro, Hurricane, Aqua, Milotic, and Dracovish as they all couldn't help but gawk in shock and awe as they saw Brionne's tail and skirt-like body extend to her newly-grown flippers, her ears merging to become a giant ponytail held by two pearl strings, and a tiara-like structure forming on her forehead. Then, in one final burst of power, in a white, blue, and pink body akin to Aqua's (but without the collar and name tag), Brionne emerged from the light she was in to finally become her species' final evolved form as Aqua had before her: Primarina.
"Primarina, reporting for duty!" the newly-evolved Soloist Pokemon declared before she chased after Kyogre and Lana again with her newfound power and strength, prompting the dumbfounded and stunned group behind her to try and keep up once more.
Deciding that it had enough of Lana's meddling, Kyogre finally let go of her rod and lure as it had finished taking its antidote and was about to swim away, trying to knock its unexpected pursuer off with another blast of the water currents as they rocked her. But, Primarina was able to rescue Lana in time before she could drown and be blasted away again as she successfully got below her partner.
"Grab on, Lana! Quick!" she shouted, hurrying back to the surface with her rescue party trailing behind before they breached the surface and everybody else could see the new Pokemon that was once Brionne that saved Lana.
"What is that?" Nebby asked in bewilderment when he saw Primarina.
"Is that Lana and, Brionne?" gasped Sarah in shock, seeing Brionne having just evolved.
"I don't believe it!" gasped Oshawott.
"She did, Brionne evolved!" Lana cried happily as everybody started to cheer for Brionne's evolution to her true and final form.
But, once again, the happy moment was ruined when a water cyclone erupted and knocked Race, Absol, and Tsukumaro from their water balloons up into the air, the cyclone being swiftly frozen into a giant platform and pillar of ice in the middle of nowhere, popping them and saving their lives before they landed in the ocean again. Lana and Primarina were knocked out of the air by that same ice platform and Lugia and its passengers were forced to jerk away to avoid being hit while Deste, Esme, Hydro, Hurricane, Aqua, Milotic, and Dracovish managed to dodge the platform and get onto it as it froze.
The pillar was now in the midst of a whirlpool as the rain died down and Kyogre circled around, still in its fit of anger and rage over the previous events that happened to it and Lugia.
"What was that just now?" Sarah questioned as everybody regrouped.
"That, princess, was Sheer Cold. I'm afraid Kyogre is still lost in its anger and will not stop until we find a way to soothe its anger and calm it before its wrath can be turned to the rest of the world including all of Alola," Lugia replied as Kyogre gave a challenging roar to Lana, wanting to settle things between them now as if she and her Primarina are worthy challengers to it.
"You're right, it's still angry," Lana replied with a knowing yet grim nod before she steeled herself for her greatest challenge. "Kyogre, this is it. Today, I'm finally going to catch you."
The others turned to her in surprise but knowing what she was about to do, Lugia, Aqua, and Sarah gave her and Primarina knowing looks as she turned to the trio and said to them all while caressing Primarina, "Alright, Primarina, Aqua, I want it to hear your songs. They might calm it down but I can't reel it in for them to do so without your and Lugia's help, Sarah."
"You know me, Lana, we're with you," Sarah reassured.
"Always," Aqua agreed, giving a determined smile.
"Right," Primarina nodded.
"Will you please let me ride you?"
"Hop on!"
Lana smiled as she got herself ready and steeled herself while Sarah prepared her fishing rod as well and joined Aqua before turning to Lugia and then saying to it, "Lugia, do you think you can try and stop Kyogre's storm long enough for us to have it hear Aqua and Primarina's songs?"
"I'll lend you my power if that is what you wish," Lugia nodded knowingly. "We must stop Kyogre or it could wipe out all of Alola and the world with its wrath."
Sarah smiled and she gave a confirming nod to Lana, the two of them sharing smiles before they gave determined frowns and then went off to tackle Kyogre. "Let's go!"
"Mom, Lana!" Blitz shouted.
To the music of the third opening of the Japanese Dub of Pokemon: Sun & Moon (Future Connection [TV Size] by ЯeaL), Lana, Primarina, Aqua, and Sarah jumped into the whirlpool and steadied themselves when they saw Kyogre's silhouette closing in on them. When they were soon ready, the girls immediately fast their fishing rods into the water again, exposing their lures for the Sea Basin Pokemon to see while Lugia focused his power to subdue Kyogre's storm as best it can before it could go on a rampage and stir up the bad weather again.
A light peeking in was the signal to set off~
"Here it comes!" Telsa shouted, seeing Kyogre getting closer.
"They'll have to keep their lines tight on it before they break and it gets away once it bites them!" Adira added as Kyogre drew closer and closer to the girls and their lures.
Wishing for a change, I focused on the run~
"Keep it up, you two!" Lana encouraged Aqua and Primarina.
"You got it!" replied Primarina with Aqua giving a nod to Lana before throwing Primarina a proud wink before Kyogre finally caught the lures and then tugged at their lines.
In this world I've wandered into all alone~
"Yes, it bought 'em!" Sarah cried.
"Nice one, Mom, Lana!" cheered Aqua.
"Good job!" smiled Primarina.
I've found a piece of the dream that I'd been seeking~ (I choose you!)
Future connection - start afresh and start anew today~ (Oh, oh, oh!)
Now, comes the tricky bit for Lana and Sarah; with Kyogre having managed to snag their lures and fishing lines, they started to reel it in as carefully yet firmly as they could. Kyogre wasn't making it easy for them as it turned counterclockwise to throw them off and make them lose their grip on their fishing rods but they held firm as they continued to reel it in while making sure not to lose their lines and lures in the process. Then, they tried to toy with it by swaying from side to side and making the Sea Basin Pokemon follow their movements, all while making sure that the Diving Pokemon was undisturbed in its work to calm down its storm.
It's ultra, for we've eternal sunshine and rainbows~
Future connection - don't worry about the little things in life's work~ (Oh, oh, oh!)
"Come on, Island Girl!"
"Push, you guys, you can do it!"
"That's it, don't let up!"
"Lana, Sarah, Lugia, unstoppable!"
"Go for it, girls, Lugia!"
"You can do it, don't let it win!"
"Don't lose him, Lana, Mom!"
"Don't you and Primarina dare give up on us, Aqua!"
"Stay strong, Primarina!"
"Ms. Lana, Princess! Be careful!" the girls' party cheered, seeing the two of them, Aqua, and Primarina along with Lugia doing their best to combat Kyogre's wrath, the quartet waiting for the right moment to reel them in for Aqua and Primarina to start singing.
When we hold hands, see, we're shining brighter than before~
You're my eternal sunshine and I love you forevermore~ (Oh, oh, oh! Oh, oh, oh!)
"Got him!" Lana and Sarah shouted, seeing their chance and now lifting their rods as they finally reeled Kyogre in and gave Aqua and Primarina the signal they'd been waiting for. "Now, Primarina, Sing/Aqua, hurry, use Sing!"
And, use Sing they did; after they sang their song to the enraged Legendary, they decided to do another song that would further calm Kyogre down and the song that Aqua and Primarina had chosen to sing for Kyogre was something that they, Lana, and Sarah had practiced prior to the latter's evolution and was very personal to them when they started to make use of what Lana, Brionne, and Aqua learned from Ida. Every chance they got, they would get together and try out a dozen songs for the two to practice while keeping in mind the beat that the waves when they listen to the ocean.
So, using Sing once again, they decided to sing the one song from one of the musical training sessions they've done that they've immediately grown attached to, the song made famous by actress Judy Garland and the 1939 MGM film, The Wizard of Oz, and performed by Celtic Woman soloists, Mairéad Carlin and Megan Walsh: Over The Rainbow.
(Over The Rainbow - Celtic Woman (inspired by The Wizard of Oz & dedicated to Judy Garland (1922-1969) - ft. Mairéad Carlin and Megan Walsh, 2018))
Aqua (Megan Walsh) - Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high~
There's a land I've heard of once in a lullaby~
Primarina (Mairéad Carlin) - Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue~
And, the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true~
Aqua & Primarina (Megan & Mairéad) - Someday, I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me~
Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me~
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly~
Birds fly over the rainbow~
Why, oh, why can't I~?
As they were both singing away, everybody watching the action was left in awe and wonder as Aqua and Primarina sang to their hearts' content for the enraged Kyogre. Sarah and Lana even took the time to take in Kyogre's majestic beauty and they could hardly believe what a remarkable Pokemon Kyogre really is.
Lugia also listened in on Aqua and Primarina's song and it gave an approving nod for what they were doing to soothe Kyogre's rage completely after Lana and Sarah managed to reel it in. And, there was even more good news to come for the heroes; as Aqua and Primarina reached the tail end of their song, finally started to relax; the pupils in the Sea Basin Pokemon's eyes dilated back to their normal size before the Legendary Pokemon eventually softened its powerful gaze and slowly dived its way back to the sea.
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow~
Wh-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y, ca-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-an't, I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I?
That did the trick as thanks to Aqua, Primarina, Lana, Sarah, and Lugia (who let out a final roar to dissipate and calm Kyogre's storm), the skies are clear once again and the dark clouds were gone for good. Everyone was very relieved to have gotten through the chaos of the Pokemon Hunters and Kyogre's hate-filled storm in one piece and now, Kyogre seemed to have realized that Sarah, Lana, and their family and friends meant no harm after saving it just as Lugia did earlier.
Lana and Primarina were overjoyed to know that Kyogre is now at peace and they came over to the Sea Basin Pokemon, the Water Type student being brought over to it by her evolved partner and placing her hands upon it and gave it a gentle snuggle to show her appreciation for it and her happiness for it being safe and calm again.
"Kyogre, you and Lugia, you're safe now. Meeting you, I've always wanted to meet you all these years when I first heard about you because I love you," Lana smiled at the Hoenn Legendary.
Everybody watched on happily from the Sheer Cold platform for Lana while Sarah and Aqua shared a smile and the former caressed her Soloist Pokemon, who appreciated her touch as Lugia came up to her. Then, Kyogre roared to end its Sheer Cold attack, leaving the spectators with nothing to stand on as they suddenly splashed into the water again.
In the midst of a beautiful flurry of arctic blue sparkles from the dissolved Sheer Cold attack, Sarah and Aqua turned to Lugia as the former said, "Well, Lugia, it's time to say goodbye. I'm glad you and Kyogre are safe now and those hunters will be behind bars for Legendary Pokemon Poaching so you won't be hearing from them for a while. Will you be alright now?"
"I'm sure we will. Because of the pure nerve and outstanding courage you and your friends have shown, we will live to see another day," Lugia smiled softly as it used its Psychic attack to gently pluck a feather from itself and give it to her (which was actually a Silver Wing) while Kyogre also showed its appreciation to her, Lana, Aqua, and Primarina by giving her a new Pokemon Gem (Kyogre's gem being ocean blue that had a black insignia of its own likeliness on it).
"These are for you, princess," the Diving Pokemon continued, it and Kyogre having allowed Sarah to take the new gem and the Silver Wing as her own.
"With my Silver Wing and Kyogre's gem, you'll be free to call upon our powers whenever you need us. Because of your courage, the sacrifices you made on this day for our sakes, the pure nerve you all have in standing up to those horrid monsters that tried to capture us, your empathy, your compassion to do what is right against the odds stacked against you, the Beasts of the Sea have been tamed. The world could not have been left in better hands."
"Thanks, Lugia, Kyogre," Sarah smiled, Aqua happily bringing her human mother closer to Lugia as it moved its head closer to her and she gave it a hug and a small kiss, the Diving Pokemon giving her a thankful nuzzle in return before they parted and the two titans of the sea eventually went their separate ways.
Dusk had fallen by the time Sarah, Lana, and their party reunited with the others back at their old spot and told them everything that went down. By the time they told them what went down, the others and Ash were left in complete shock.
"YOU BOTH CAUGHT KYOGRE AND LUGIA AND SAVED THEM, REALLY?!"
"Oh, I get it! Just enough practical joke, huh?" Mallow laughed, thinking it was a prank on Lana's part.
Lana and Sarah shared knowing smiles and chuckles before Lana told her, "No, it's the truth. Right, Primarina?"
Primarina agreed wholeheartedly as she breached the surface and joined her sister figure, Lana, and her friends as she greeted everybody, "Hey, guys."
"SHE EVOLVED INTO PRIMARINA?!" Ash, Mallow, Kiawe, Sophocles, and Lillie screamed in total disbelief again, earning laughs from everyone else.
"What happened out there in the cove, you guys? Tell us all about it!" Sophocles begged, now eager to hear how the battle and the rescue operation took place in greater detail.
"Lada Lana was a remarkable fisherwoman going up against Kyogre when it was enraged by its being captured by those hunters and she must be very proud of her greatest achievement," Tsukumaro admitted with a surprised yet proud smile.
"Not many Pokemon trainers can pull off such an exciting feat as Pokemon Fishing when adding a Legendary Pokemon into the mix and then catching with only a fishing rod and live to tell the tale. And, that goes double for the princess; while Lana was busy trying to assist Kyogre when it was trapped and successfully cured it with an antidote and we were having to keep that madman's pawns and their powerful Palpitoad and Seismitoad at bay, the princess waded up to Lugia in the lagoon and she managed to feed it a Pecha Berry to cure it of its own poison."
"And, just when we managed to save them and Lugia now knew that we didn't mean any harm to it and Kyogre, Kyogre went bananas and it started thrashing about and nearly swept us away before we were saved," Race continued.
"Then, what happened?" Mallow asked.
"Primarina and Aqua! They sang their song and they even did 'Over The Rainbow' that we've been practicing for months! It's like we can hear them sing it fluently!" Lana added, excited.
"And, they even gave me these," Sarah smiled brightly, presenting her new Silver Wing and the Kyogre Gem from Kyogre and Lugia. "TA-DA!"
"A SILVER WING AND A NEW POKEMON GEM?!" the gang balked again for a third time, looking at Sarah's new gifts.
"But, how?!" Ash spluttered, he and his Pokemon being left in total awed shock.
Sarah just smiled and nodded as she said, "Let's just say Lugia and Kyogre owed us but mostly Lana, Primarina, Aqua, and I both of their lives."
"And, I now know why fishing can be an exciting hobby in its own right," Tsukumaro smiled.
"I wish I could've recorded all of it!" Rotom-Dex whined with a pout.
"Well, if you haven't been busy trying to take photos of what the others were catching and came along for the trip, you would've had a field day with those two and everything that happened after we met them," smiled Telsa cheekily.
"But, Mr. Rotom, it's like the humans would always say..." added Adhira before he trailed off and...
"You snooze, you lose!" the Stormbirds finished with smug smirks on their faces, making everybody else laugh at poor Rotom-Dex's expense as he groaned with a facepalm.
It was supposed to be an ordinary day fishing on a reef but it wound up being anything but ordinary. I'm sure Sarah, Race, Lana, Tsukumaro, their Pokemon, the mythicals joining them, Hydro, and Hurricane will never forget their special encounter with the Beasts of the Sea. As for Kyogre and Lugia, I'm sure they're both happily swimming somewhere in the vast ocean with their saviors and new friends firmly on their minds as the journey continues!
