Anakin Skywalker stood alone in the council room waiting for Master Yoda ,Obi wan and the other two masters who had gone to confront and hopefully arrest Chancillor Palpatine to return.
Anakin still couldn't believe it Palpatine was really the Sith Lord who was behind the war that was currently raging across the Galaxy ,and he was also the Sith Master that the Jedi council had been looking for.
It had been Palpatine along Anakin thought angrily as he remembered the almost gleeful way that Palpatine had told him about the dark side and offered to train Anakin in the ways of the dark side.
Anakin of course had played the part that Obi wan and master Yoda had asked him to the discruteled and disillusioned young Jedi knight who had been denied his dream of being a Jedi master.
And Palpatine had fallen for his act just like Anakin had fallen for Palpatine 's kindly uncle/grandfather act for all these years. But the friendship had been a lie Anakin thought bitterly.
What was taking them so long Anakin wondered as he looked out across the city at the senate building . "It shouldn't be taking this long perhaps I should have insisted that I go with them " said to himself.
But then he remembered what Obi wan had said about him needing to stay at the temple to help fend it and protect the younglings and the Padawans who wouldn't have chance if something went wrong and Palpatine escaped arrest.
Was that why Obi wan and the other Jedi masters were taking so long to return the young Jedi knight wondered.
Suddenly he fell to his nee's in pain something was wrong very wrong Anakin thought. As he tried to get back to his feet he was hit with a second wave of pain that was far worse than first it was unbearable.'
And could mean only one thing that either Ashoka or Obi wan was ... Anakin swallowed hard as he forced back the tears.
He onice again got to his feet and looked out of the window and saw two very familiar Clone troops the 212th and the 501st marching up the temple steps and into the temple .
Of course Palpatine would send them they are the best of the best I should know I trained most of them Anakin thought bitterly. Then all hell broke loose.
Suddenly Anakin's comm chimed and after a few minutes hesitation Anakin answered it and a little blue image of Ahsoka pop into to view.
" Anakin what's going on someone told Dex that the temple is under attack and that Jedi tried to kill the chancilor?!" Ahsoka said now panicking.
Anakin said "yes it's true that the temple is being attacked but it is a lie that the Jedi tried to kill palpatine Obi wan and the others went there to arrest him not kill him Ashoka " Anakin told her.
" Okay are you at the temple because I'm coming to help " Ashoka told him. "NO! Ashoka! DO NOT COME HERE! It's too dangerous ,I need you go too Dex and have him help you get yourself a the younglings that I am going too send to though the tunnels off the planet " Anakin told her.
" B...Ashoka started " JUST DO IT AHSOKA! I have to go now " Anakin said.
Ashoka stared at her comm forlornly , Dex who had been sitting next to her and had hear everything said "Obi wouldn't you caught up what's going on at the temple at the moment either ".
Anakin watched the last child entered the tunnel that led to Dex's dinner and safety and shut the door as 4 clone troopers burst in to the council room.
Then everything faded to Black and Anakin welcomed it , There was no one left now any way he thought.
