He was begging.
The Doctor was actually begging.
But she wasn't letting him have it, sitting on the console chair, tongue half-playing with her lip.
"Rose!" he cried. "PLEASE!"
"Don't like it when its you whose on the other end, do you Doctor?"
"I'm sorry!" he pleaded. "It won't happen again! I promise!"
Rose flicked a few switches and heard his pounding increasing with the engines machines, then cheekily opened the door slowly, swinging the TARDIS key around her index finger, smiling innocently. "Last time you forget both the key and screwdriver, eh?"
He frowned and snatched the items back.

This occurred to me while watching Aliens of London, just before the Doctor walked into the room full of Army people. Thought it be funny if he locked himself out.
