Prior to the witches when Loki had been there, scarce were the few Jotunns that could daywalk. With witches now how many enchantments had they made to ward the sunlight and on what? A ring was customary, as were other small accessories though that if by an adversary were caught could swiftly be taken leave one vulnerable in daylight. After an incident Loki took extreme measures to ensure that that to him wouldn't again happen. In his very bones he carved that enchantment; a permanent daywalker.

And so at the hopes of catching a Jotunn's vampire counterpart in sunlight they waited till dawn, a fleet of trucks they had or borrowed loaded up with men armed close to sixty. The element of surprise was unlikely; one could hear the trucks or many hasteful feet approach and suspect them.

As was the case indeed they were attacked before reaching the predecided point of vantage. Vampires zoomed forth some attacked one or two sped back to warn the pack, killed but more slip before they all fell back or died promptly. The Aesir paced to positions Thor in lead, archers some wore magic-sensing goggles stood at the ready Hogan commanding – everyone else marched down swords raised or guns aimed but most turning.

From the depleted gem mine's three entrances as well as housing and other lodges they out stormed, some alike instantly turned but many as vampires attacked were too fast dodging every hit and swing – Aesir wolves with reflex honed prevailed, but promptly were surrounded. Vervain smoke leveled the odds and as Loki sought the head of the snake yet to show he'd intervene taking out numbers,

but quickly he was the main target,

swarmed by wolves both and vampires – his shield wouldn't hold – he'd have to turn –

problem is he never had on command. And he detests the mindless lifeform and lack of coherency to utilize magic.

A shot he takes at a wolf that stumbles back and another forth marches. Some are dragged away by his allies only to be replaced – he was doubtless Byleistr was somewhere commanding.

A machine-like reeving he hears,

that was familiar.

A vampire screeches a wolf turns – is by the arm yanked down to the ground on its back, and above him hovers

Tony.

From beneath his sleeve protracted a blade, of steel that sliced through the wolf's throat – a vampire grabbed him – he pulled him forth pushed him down shot directly at his face a repulsor, other arm from a wooden stake to the chest – the brief glimpse of his face that a very shocked and alarmed Loki'd caught: veins beneath his skin glow a blue, and his eyes, just like the reactor.

Another wolf from him turned to charge at Tony – Loki broke the shield leapt onto its back with his bare hands forced open its jaw till a sickly crack sounded, and the beast fell limp toppling forward. Tony got out of the way, quite enthusiastically slammed down another vampire as Loki dropped and dodged an arm swung from the back at him, twisting – it breaks, the man screams – he stakes him, expels a force that floors another three – merely pushing the pair of werewolves before him growling.

A shot sounds loud, bullet hits one through the skull – it falls promptly – Loki looks, glimpsed top the cliff along the other archers: Nat with a sniper and Clint with a bow. Jotunns there were attacking, getting rammed through by Bruce and shot down by Rhodey – step he hears the other wolf marching – shot over his shoulder by a repulsor from Tony – roars in pain – Loki jams a steel dagger through its chest deeply,

faced Tony.

Dodging/dealing attacks in fragments both quarreled – furious Loki starting: "What, in tarnation-"

"You're welcome."

"Tony, I-"

"Later, maybe?"

"Which bloody relic did you use?!"

"An enhancer. Didn't show you this one."

"Why?"

"Cause I knew you'd give me the slip."

"Can you guess why?!" vampire's neck he broke – he falls, stakes him – another charges – Tony tossed up a blade, swiftly impaled her.

"Because you were doing so great on your own," wolf swings an arm they duck, Tony kicks him in the knee, Loki cuts his arm with steel, repulsor to the guts, both stab him in the heart, the beast falls backward. They share a look blue-hued browns in mischief shimmer he smiles, coaxing upward Loki's lips – whose attention locks then spot above the mines

Byleistr;

fire in his chest greens sinisterly darken.

"Go," Tony tells him taking notice. Gaze hesitates he sees, reassures him: "Trust me." Puts out a hand, capturing a vampire's throat that was charging, chokes him smirks widely. "I got this." Greens settled, smiled,

were in love with that madman completely, whose arrival like recharged him and he sped off senses sharper, will driven was certain, the day would end with them victorious.

Tony stakes the vampire throws him off, hears screams turns finds a witch, by chains dragging a werewolf, unholsters a gun, clicks a button a scope pops up he targets, shoots. The chains drop the witch shocked looks to her injured arm where a clip had locked, glares at Tony,

jolts, hits the ground and Tony faces the gun-sound too close – he told them to stay up there!-

wait.

"Oh shit," said loud enough that Steve hears pulls a face, bashing a wolf-claw with his steel shield.

"Tony!"

"What are you doing here?!" more incoming they draw together counter and fight back, over the commotion shouting.

"What am I doing here?!"

"Look my boyfriend's a tribrid. Get over it and kick some hybrid ass."

"What in the-"

"Witches too. Not the regular wolves – matter of fact, why don't you climb up-"

"I'm not going anywhere."

"How did you find-"

"Put a tracker on the van."

"When you bent down to tie your shoe – I knew it!"

"Shut up and focus!"
