Playground school bell rings again...
The swing set was empty, like most of the time. A few cherry blossom petals swirled in graceful circles with the gentle breeze of the afternoon.
Rain clouds come to play again...
Thunder rumbled in the distance as grey clouds darkened the city. The gentle afternoon breeze turned into a cold wind. One of the swings moved slowly; back and forth, back and forth...its chains creaking.
Has no one told you she's not breathing?
It had been an accident, a terrible accident. She had crossed the street without looking, and the car was unable to stop in time. Her school bag flew across the street and a few pages came out. Lying on the pavement, her eyes were wide open, blood poured out of her mouth, staining her cheek and her shiny brown hair.
Hello, I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to, hello...
Syaoran sat in the living room of his apartment, watching the pouring rain through the window. Memories races through his head. Memories of everything he lived through with Sakura.
If I smile and don't beleive...
He constantly looked for a way to stop thinking about her. But he went to the same school, sat in his desk behind an empty seat, kept practicing his magic, talked to Madison, Tori and Miss Mackenzie. Everything led back to Sakura.
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream...
Every morning when he awoke, he wished to see her again...he wished that the accident had never happened. He wanted to see her smile again, wanted to hear her laughter and her voice on more time.
Don't try to fix me I'm not broken...
When she had died it seemed that his mind refused to register it. He didn't shed a tear. Everyone told him crying and talking about how he felt were therapeutic, but he didn't care...he lost her and he expressed it any way he wanted.
Hello, I am the lie living for you so you can hide
Don't cry...
Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping
Reality hit him hard; he would never see her again, never hug her or laugh with her again He would always have an empty hole in his heart and he knew that he would feel alone for the rest of his life.
Hello I'm still here
All that's left of yesterday...
Looking away from the storm, Syaoran's eyes fell upon a picture frame lying face down on the sofa. He picked it up and stared at it for a few minutes. The, turning his attention back to the rain, a tear rolled down his cheek and fell on the picture; Sakura was in her school uniform, smiling for the last picture she would ever take.
I very much enjoy writing tragedies, as you may (or may not) have noticed with this one. This fanfic came out shorter than I would have wanted, as more words call for more details. But I hope it was enjoyed all the same.
Please don't forget to review. Thank you!
