The day after the timephoon incident, Rebecca watches as the family pack up for their latest adventure. She wasn't packing because she decided not to go. Someone who was human, or at least living, had to stay and watch Louie, someone who could put him in a chokehold until he gives up trying to run off as she knew he'd try. Though, she did feel guilty. This was the one, ONE adventure he'd want to go on, his dream adventure, and they decided to go on it while he was grounded. But, what could she do? Della was their mom, so there was no arguing. Besides, what is the worst that can happen?

"You're heading to Big Rock Candy Mountain!? Oh I am going." Louie says as he comes down the front stairs.

"No, you are still grounded." Della declares.

"What?! No, WHAT?!" Louie argues.

"Err, come on kids, let's finish packing." Scrooge says to Huey, Dewey, and Webby, ushering them away.

"Big Rock Candy Mountain is the laziest quest of all time! It's my dream." Louie protests the excessively harsh punishment.

"Your last 'dream' made you take treasure from the past, which almost destroyed time, space, and your family! Now, to your room! You can come out when you learn that no good ever came from cockamamie schemes." Della orders as Rebecca grabs Louie by his hoodie hood and drags him back inside.

"C'mon Lou, back to your bunk." She starts to close the door. "Oh and bring us some souvenirs!"

"Will do honey! Sorry you're stuck watching your brother!" Della says as they finish packing and head off the take the Sunchaser.

Rebecca soon plops Louie on his bunk in their room, the youngest sibling upset.

"Really sis? You are taking their side!" Louie protests.

"Not really. Someone has to keep you here... and you company... and safe. I have a weird feeling as Glomgold's not done anything the past week." She admits.

"Gee, thanks, that's really touching." Louie pouts sarcastically.

"Bro, I don't agree with them leaving you here while they go on your dream adventure, one you actually wanna go on. Be lucky I stayed behind because, initially, they were gonna leave you alone which is just messed up. Honestly, I just didn't wanna argue with mom." She pats his shoulder. "It is only a couple of days."

Louie grumbles, to which she sighs.

Rebecca sighs. "Look, after they get back, I'll try and convince everyone to sit down and talk, okay? I have a feeling this treatment is a bit of a bad indicator for the family." She admits.

"And why do you care about- that?" He asks as he is picked up by the hoodie by Rebecca.

"Because Ian has made his views very clear, and I will not let this family drive him away. Do you hear me?! I won't lose my best friend!" She shakes Louie frantically.

...

After the Sunchaser has left, and Louie has already tried one attempt to leave, and discovered the DT-87 has been upgraded and made to keep him from leaving, he is on his second attempt, but is caught at the window.

"Um, I am also a fake-" Louie tries to lie.

Then, he has a lasso land around him, his eyes widening. "Get over here!" Rebecca says as she yanks Louie back in, to his terror.

"AHHHHHHHHH!" Louie cries out as, next thing he knows, his older sister has hogtied him. "Rebecca is this necessary?!"

"Shut it!" She orders, foot on his back, as she stops a timer. "Darn, fraction of a second too short."

"Can you not?!" He requests, scared and confused.

"Shut it! I was given free range on how to keep you from escaping, so long as it is non-lethal." As she unties him, then tosses him onto his bed. "Now stay put until it is lunch time. I'll be bringing your food." As she leaves Louie to grumble.

It is soon the last day before the family returns for the richest duck competition, and Rebecca was in her room, making tea as usual. Louie had somewhat stopped trying to escape, as every attempt had been thwarted, so things had been calm. So finishes making her cup and starts drinking, sighs content. Then...

BOOM

The house shakes, starting Rebecca.

"What the?" She puts her tea down heads out into the staircase, where she finds Louie. "Louie? What's-" She gasps. "The Beagle Boys? Mark Beaks?! Don Karnage?! Magica de Spell!?" She says in shock, then gets a serious look. "Okay ya big palookas, you wanna fight? I'll give you one. Rrrraagghh!" She lunges at them, only to be caught by Don Karnage. "Oh come on!" Rebecca struggles as she is restrained.

"Rebecca!" Louie cries out.

"Now, green nephew, where are the others?" Glomgold demands.

"Gone. They went on an adventure and we stayed behind." Rebecca says, having been tied up.

"Oh, I see. Family meeting- augh!" Glomgold is then confronted by his now angry 'family'.

After a few exchanges, Magica makes a proposal.

"Look, we're here. Why don't we annihilate the green and purple ones as sort of a warm up?" Magica suggests, at which Rebecca glowers.

"And then what? What was your scheme here, exactly? Just show up and fight?" Louie asks, now suddenly standing beside Magica.

"Of course no. I'm sure Flintheart had a perfectly plan and- ugh." Ma Beagle realizes as they start to turn on Glomgold, who gives a sappy, meaningless speech to convince them not to kill him. After lamenting that they lost...

"I know how you can win the bet," Louie says, grinning as the attention turns to him. "But I want in."

"Wha- Louie, what are you doing? They-" Louie gives Rebecca a look of 'just trust me, I know what I am doing, this is what I do'. Seeing this, she goes quiet, trusting her brother more than their mother does.

"Hmm, very well. And, what of the purple one? She's clearly of no-" Magica starts to suggest, but is cut off.

"You want my help, you cannot hurt her. Or any of my family. I help you win the bet, and in return, you spare my family." Louie demands, as the villains shrug and listen.

Later, at the Bin, after Glomgold and his 'family' attack the McDucks, Glomgold uses his 'trap card'.

"Not so fast! We have the upper hand... And a hostage." Glomgold says.

"Uh, hey guys. Uh, they sorta, attacked the mansion while you were gone. Really bad timing." Rebecca calls, tossed to the ground, still tied up.

"Rebecca!" Della rushes over and unties her daughter, checking her over. "Wait? What about Louie?"

"Uhhh..." Rebecca is unsure how to answer that, but doesn't have to.

"Right here." Louie says as he steps out of the plane.

"Louie?!" The family calls, shocked he is alright.

"And to the rest of you, hurting them wasn't part of the plan."

"Louie!" The others call out, should be more shocked.

"Lad, are yew helping them?" Scrooge asks incredulously.

"That's right, Scrooge. Yew didn't win the bet. Ae did!" Glomgold boasts

"Wait, what?" The family asks confused.

Glomgold explains how he brought the villains together, and Louie explains how, in exchange for not killing his family, the villains put their resources together to win the bet,

leaving Scrooge and the others in shock... and Glomgold betraying the other villains and proclaiming his victory, laughing. When...

"Ha ha ha ha ha, Yep, Flintheart Glomgold won. His name is on all the paperwork. Only your name's not really Flintheart Glomgold. It's-" Louie points out.

"Duke Baloney!" Scrooge and Glomgold realize.

"Flintheart Glomgold is a fake identity. So all your money, all your money, and all your money goes to your new partner, who is, hold on one sec, just let me check right here, oh right, me. Always read the fine print, trademark Louie Duck." Louie reveals.

"What?! But that was my scheme! I got the family together! I was gonna steal their money from them after I won! I..." Glomgold spills, to which the villains truly turn on him and attack him, the McDuck family watching, before Glomgold jumps into the ocean.

"Curse you, everyone!" Glomgold declares.

The villains then take their treasure and flee, regretting ever working with Glomgold due to his incompetent, idiotic, backstabbing nature.

Once it is cleared, Della approaches Louie, glaring down at him with arms crossed.

Then, Rebecca comes over. "Way to go baby bro." She grins as her and Louie fist-bump, to the others', especially Della's, shock.

"Wait, you knew?!" Della gasps.

"Louie told me on the way here. Mom, Louie's schemes aren't that bad. Yes the Time Tub one did backfire, but he didn't know it'd rip apart space and time! But, I've known him for two years, and I've learned you have to trust him sometimes."

"Mom, I know I messed up before, but seeing all the angles is what I'm good at." Louie says, looking at Della.

Smiling, Della picks up and hugs Louie. "Okay, but you need to take care to not hurt the ones you love. And I'll be here to help you see the angles you can't. Now all you have to do is turn the new company over to Scrooge, and everything will go back to normal." She puts the hobo crown on his head as Scrooge comes over.

"Louie!" Scrooge says, smiling, which fades quickly as Louie hesitates. "Louie?"

"Hmm..." Louie smirks.

Rebecca, realizing the look on Louie's face, scowls. "Louie, don't you dar-"
