Hello once again, all my lovely and ever loyal peeps!

Damn, got to say, I'm kind of happy many of you have returned to see the rebirth of this story and while i would have loved to keep Chaldea discreet and in the shadows, logically and realistically, there is no possible way for that to happen.

Yeah, i get it that Justice League and JL Unlimited is based off of comic books, we're going to put a little realism into the mix with people that are like them but go about things differently. So, seeing as i'm going to be trying to focus on other things and with the holidays just around the conour, i have decide to do this interlude and hopefully get "Rise Of The Grimm Reaper" Chapter done before this month is over. I'm so close yet so far away.

Oh to be a writter.

Oh well, as always i own nothing but my OC.

So please read, review and "What the fuc-BOOM"

Interlude: The Unknown Future

"So, it appears Young Mazoku has made his move, very clever. Using this incident to not only stop a possible genocide of the human race, but he also not only sets himself up as a hero of sorts. But given the nature of the crime, there is no realistic way for Diana's adopted sister to get off scoot free, she made her bed and must now lie in it, whether she wants too or not. Even if the Justice League won't agree with it, it must be done. Even if his actions could be considered heroic and there is no way he would willingly kill innocent people like some of their villains, he has no problem with killing villains and criminals. Even if they won't agree with it, this world needs someone like him and Chaldea, as it's his darkness that allows him to do what the heroes cannot. Still, with the arrival of Chaldea, this world may have a future after all, but the question remains: What will MY role be in this coming change?"

In a location beyond the eyes of normal, super and otherworldly people, Doctor Fate aka Kent Nelson, silently thought over what his next course of action should be.

The Justice League tried to contact him, tried to get his help with this "Unknown person or persons" but Dr. Fate didn't answer. Not only did he know just WHO it was, he knew there was a very for real chance they would be defeated if they tried to fight. As powerful as they were all together, he knew Chaldea had faced and beaten when all odds were stacked against them.

Much like the Justice League, Chaldea had beaten the odds time and time again to protect not just their world but countless others...Along with some being wiped from existence completely and while one might think that was bad, he actually had a valid reason to commit genocide. After all, some of those worlds were heading to a slow, painful death, another was a world full of nothing but zombies that were intent on reducing all of creation to nothing but death and another was a world of Hell.

Not the biblical hell, the REAL Hell.

The PURE EVIL kind.

Not exactly an easy topic to discuss or action to take but necessary, nevertheless.

Unlike most villains, while powerful in their own rights, couldn't work together to save their life. But Chaldea...Chaldea was different, they were in prefect sync with one another and would easily topple their strongest fighters (Superman, Supergirl and Power girl) thanks to the fact they use magic.

Magic that was so different from their own yet so familiar at the same time.

Not to mention unlike most magic users, Xero didn't sole rely on his magic, already giving him a leg up on most magic users and was more than willingly to incorporate modern day tech and weapons into his arsenal.

Aside from the fact magic alone was enough to threaten the strongest members of the Justice League like Superman, Mazoku was more than smart enough to incorporate moves and skills that would make Batman proud. He was skilled in magic, weapons of old and new, with skills that could rival the Dark Knight himself in terms of hand-to-hand combat and his large arsenal of weaponry.

Having faced all manner of beings ranging from humans to alien, to monsters and even alien gods, if the boy actually became a member of the Justice League, they'd damn near be unstoppable. Most members with powers often relayed on those powers like Captain Marvel can be defeated if they met someone even stronger than them or someone who can negate their abilities.

Its why Superman could be defeated by someone like Lex Luthor, as the man was smart enough to study his enemies to learn how to beat them. Hell, even Batman, who was nothing more than a skilled human in a suit, could defeat the ENTIRE Justice League by himself. That was no joke, Dr. Fate had seen into a timeline where's he had done it.

However, the young man's values, his beliefs would clash with the Justice League's beliefs.

"Evil has many faces and it cannot be allowed to prosper, to allow evil to live is the same to enable it and foolish. It cannot, should not be allowed to prosper and all evil must be dealt, one way or another."

Basically, if one allows evil to walk away unpunished, then you're giving them a free pass to cause more chaos and death. To do that, evil must learn to change their ways or...die.

Simple as that.

While that did not mean Mazoku would kill EVERY criminal and villain he came across, ones like Victor Zasaz and Gorilla Gordd will die. Victor might be legitimate mentally insane; you cannot sacrifice a thousand lives just to save one. As for Gordd, while there was nothing wrong with wanting to protect and see one own kind prosper, it was Chaldea's job to ensure humanity's future.

Magus were cold and if that meant ending another species to protect humanity...then, so be it.

It was that kind of attitude that would clash with the Justice League and truth be told, if it came down to it, Dr. Fate would not interfere. The Lords of Order had followed the young man's adventures across the multiverse and seen how he had helped stabilize many worlds, even ending others that would threaten to destroy the balance of creation.

AFTER ALL, HE HAD HELPED THE DOOM SLAYER RESSURCT THE DARK LORD OF HELL AND END THE DARK LORD, PREVENTING HELL'S INVASION OF MANY OTHER WORLDS.

No.

If it came down to it, Dr. Fate would not interfere with the two. Yes, he would indeed help the JL but not against Chaldea or the young man. While the Justice League might be a force for good, Xero was the monster this world needed.

A necessary evil.

"Forgive me Clark, i have seen the future of this world and without this young man, this world and your child would surely be doomed. I cannot change what Fate has in store for you and your family, but he can."

Knowledge truly was a curse, wasn't it? He had seen the future of the world and there was nothing he could do to stop it before it was too late, thanks to certain conditions in using the Helmet of Fate but Mazoku could. Hopefully, Mazoku would kill that thing called the Joker before he can trick Superman into killing his own wife and son, setting into motion the domino's that would lead to his Earth being destroyed.

"Only time could tell."

For now, the first move would need to be made and if his vision proved true, the people of Earth will see a new protector among their ranks.

A Lethal Protector.

BOOM.

Done.

Devil Out.
