"Mistress, it's time to wake up." A female voice called out. Euphemia slowly blinked awake.

"What is going on?" Euphemia asked as she looked around the room. It was a large room, similar to her room at Pendragon.

"It's time for school, Miss Euphemia." She looked and saw a maid waiting next to her bed. "Your food is on the dining room table."

On habit Euphemia dismissed the maid. After the maid shut the door the former princess started mumbling to herself. "What is going on? I was dying, right? No. I should focus on what I can do. If there is one thing that I remember from being a noble is acting. I just need to act like I know what's going on until I find out what is going on. First I need to go to school. Maybe I can find someone else there." Quickly changing into what she assumed was her school uniform, Euphemia headed down to the first floor where she assumed from her previous experiences the dining room was. Seeing the large table with a single plate of food out for her.

Euphemia sat down at the place and started eating the food. When she was done she walked through the front door and saw a car waiting in the driveway. From past experiences she knew that car was waiting to drive her. As she walked towards the vehicle the driver came out and opened a door for her. She got in and sat down. The driver shut her door and then went to his seat and opened the barrier.

"To school, Miss Euphemia?" The chauffeur asked her.

"Yes, please." Euphemia replied with a smile on her face.

"Understood, miss." The driver closed the barrier and the car started moving.

Euphemia wondered what exactly was going on here. The last thing she remembered was laying on something holding Suzaku's hand. "Suzaku." She mumbled and turned to look out the window only to freeze. There was a Japanese kid standing outside wearing a male version of her uniform. "That's Suzaku!" She gasped, but before she was able to tell her driver to open the door, the car started moving again. Making a rash decision she rolled the window down and called out, "Catch me, Suzaku," and then jumped out the window.

She heard someone scream something, but she ignored it and smiled. He would catch her. He was her knight of honor after all. She felt the strong arms of her knight catch her, princess style, and laughed. She turned and saw him, it was Suzaku. She knew it would be him. She hugged him as he struggled to regain his balance.

"P-princess?!" He asked as he finally managed to make sure he wouldn't fall over.

"Yep. It's me, Suzaku." She replied smiling. "And I thought that I told you to call me Euphy."

"I-uh-y-yeah. Eu-Euphy." He stammered out. How cute.

Suddenly the car she jumped out of came back and the driver started to yell at her. Something about not being so reckless or something. He then demanded that she get into the car so he could take her to school.

"Ok." She said with a smile. "But only if Suzaku comes with us."

"Bu-but Miss Euphemia, it would be inappropriate for him to be alone with you-" The driver began but Euphemia cut him off.

"Then we'll walk there." Euphemia interrupted.

"B-but miss, I-"

"Which one?" Euphemia demanded.

"I-I'll take both of you." The chauffeur relented in defeat.

"Good." The former princess replied with a smirk. The chauffeur once again opened the door and Euphemia entered. When she noticed that Suzaku had not followed her, she poked her head back out the door. "Come on Suzaku. Get in."

Suzaku gave a confused look, but after a minute, he entered the vehicle. When the door closed he began asking questions, "P-pri-princess, is that really you?"

"Yes Suzaku, it's me. Princess Euphemia Li Brittania."

"My lady, but how? You-er-" Euphemia cut Suzaku off.

"I died. Yes, I know. Did you continue to go to school?" Euphemia asked, trying to not focus on her last moments. Lelouch. What happened?

"Uh, no, my lady. I joined the Knights of the Round as the knight of seven after capturing Zero."

"Brother! What happened to him?" Euphemia asked in worry.

"I-you-uh. I'll tell you later, privately." Euphemia gave a frustrated nod of acceptance. "Do you know if anyone else is here?"

"No, but you and I are both going to the same school. I don't believe that is a coincidence. Maybe the others, if there are any, will be going there as well." Euphemia explained her thought process.

"So do we just wait at the entrance and see if anyone shows up?" Suzaku asked.

"No, I appear to be a noble or something similar, so I will go ask for a list of students and hope that one is provided." She explained, before the door opened. Suzaku tensed for a moment until he saw that it was just the driver.

"We are here, Mistress." The driver said, completely ignoring Suzaku's presence.

"Good. I will be staying with some friends after school, so I'll call you when we are done."

"Ma'am?" The driver gave a confused look.

"Do you understand?"

"Yes, ma'am."

The two then left the vehicle and headed into the building. Stopping at the secretary before requesting the list of all current students. Surprisingly the secretary immediately went about to do so. "That's odd. I thought I would have at least tried to convince her to let us see the files. I must be more important than I thought." Suzaku just nodded, not understanding the importance of her statement. When the secretary returned with the roster the two of them looked through the roster.

"Princess," her knight called out, pointing to a name on the list, "Kallen Hyoudou. I remember Kallen Kozuki. She also went by Kallen Stadtfelt. That could be her."

"Oh does that mean that we have different last names too? Can you find us as well?"

"I found myself. I still have the same name."

"You do? Maybe we were wrong

"Here's Lelouch. His last name is Lamperouge."

"Lamperouge?"

"It was his fake last name at Ashford as well." Suzaku explained.

"I see."

After another minute of searching, Euphemia called out, "I found Nunnally! Her last name is Lamperouge as well." Euphemia glanced up at the clock and gasped. "It's almost time for school! Suzaku, I'm going to go wait at the door for them. She then ran off to go wait outside. She passed a few kids who tried to start a conversation with her, but she kindly told them that she was busy. She got to the door, took a moment to gather her breath, and stood up.

"Eu-Euphy?" Euphemia heard a voice call out. She glanced at where the voice was coming from.

"Nunna! Lulu!" Euphemia called out and then ran over to them. It really is them. Her brother and sister. "Is it really you?"

"Yes Euphy, it's us." Lelouch replied.

"I'm so glad! When I met Suzaku I hoped that you two would be here too. I haven't found big sister Cornelia yet though." Euphemia finished with a sad look on her face. No, Euphemia. Be strong. You need to be strong for Nunnally.

"Do you know if anyone else is here?" Nunnally asked.

"Let's see, there were you two, me and Suzaku, and Kallen." Euphemia lists off.

"Kallen." Lelouch replied.

"Yes, Kallen." Euphemia replied. I wonder who she is. I don't think that I recognize that name.

"Is she here yet?" Nunnally asked.

"Nope. I was going to wait for her and talk to her too." At least I don't think so.

"I'll do it. You two go ahead and head to class." Lelouch replied. Why do you want to wait for her? Was she one of your friends?

"Are you sure, big brother?" Both Euphemia and Nunnally asked him

"Yes. She's more likely to trust me than she'll trust you." Lelouch assured them.

"Ok then." Euphemia replied. If you think so.

"If you're sure, big brother." Nunnally nodded in acceptance.

"I'm sure." Euphemia glanced at Nunnally and saw a look on her face.

They traveled in silence for a while before they reached a classroom. "We need to talk after school today. Please make sure that Suzaku doesn't attack Lelouch." Nunnally spoke in a very controlled voice.

"What do you mean?" Euphemia asked with a confused look.

"Just promise me. We'll talk about it later, in private."

"I will, Nunna. I promise." Euphemia promised before walking out of the room.

Euphemia walked down the hall back to the room that she and Suzaku were in.

"How did you get your hands on these?" She heard a voice demand from the room that Suzaku was in. Euphemia slowed down and crept down the hall, so she could hear what was going on in the other room. She could hear Suzaku try to explain that she got the roster and asked him to help her look over it. "As if I'd believe that! Why would she ask you and not me! I'm her friend and you are just a commoner." That line. This person thinks that they're better than everyone else. She didn't like people like that.

She stepped into the room. "Leave Suzaku alone!" She demanded in her princess voice. Looking at the person who was being mean to her friend. She had very long red hair and was wearing a girls school uniform.

"B-but Euphy-" Euphemia cut the girl off.

"Leave my friends alone." She demanded, passing her and grabbing Suzaku's hand. "Let's go, Suzaku." She dragged him out of the room.

"Yes, princess." Suzaku replied.

"I told you to call me Euphy." Euphemia said, turning to smile at him. "After all, you are my knight." Euphemia hugged Suzaku and then she walked down a hallway to head to her class.
