Chapter 32: Romans 8:38-39 "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

I threw my head back onto the bed. Of all the times they could have interrupted it had to be now. I looked back down at him. He looked up at me, resting his face against my inner thigh.

"What is it!?" he yelled.

"Master Mikoto sent me here. I have some proper clothes for you. Once you're dressed. I am to escort you to the others that wait for you."

He groaned. "Hold on."

He took the thing sheet, wrapping himself in it, and covered me with a thick blanket. He opened and she blushed at his half-naked body. He took the clothes and shoes from her.

"Sir, if you need help dressing I am here to assist you."

I quickly got off the bed and slammed the door shut., causing him to chuckle.

He smirked."Jealous?"

I snatched the dress from him. I threw the blanket down on the bed and slipped into it. It was light and not too heavy. I wasn't sure what kind of style dress it was though. I put the shoes on and they surprisingly fit.

"Is there a reason to be jealous? Do you want help getting dressed?" I asked with my hands on my hips.

He dropped the sheet to the floor, and I did my best not to look down.

"Yes, yours." He said all flirty.

I could feel myself blushing. I turned around trying to hide my embarrassment.

"Just get dressed so we can go."

"I am dressed."

I turned around. "Good. Let's go."

I went over to the door first. I opened it seeing her standing there with a smile on her face, but it faded once she saw that it was me. Obviously, she was expecting Sesshomaru. She just stood there looking at me. I felt Sesshomaru squeeze my shoulder.

"Be nice," he whispered in my ear.

"Well, lead the way," I told her.

"Oh… yes ma'am. This way please," she said walking off.

We followed her down the tower steps. It took a while since we were at the very top. Eventually, we made it. It looked like we were inside one of those old stone victorian castles. She led us down a hallway. I could see Susanoo sitting at the head of the table. Inuyasha was sitting in the chair beside him. I was getting more and more nervous the closer we got. We were about to meet other Gods, who wouldn't be nervous. I swallowed the lump in my throat the moment I saw them. I wasn't an expert on mythology but I knew that golden armor and speaker anywhere. Ares; the God of war. He had this bored expression on his face. It was as if he would have rather been anywhere else but here. The rest of them I did not know. Susanoo cleared his throat and stood. Sesshomaru and I sat at the table.

"Welcome. You may go." He said dismissing her. "I would like to thank those of you who have come. I know the trip must not have been easy." He said with a sly smile. "I am glad you are here nonetheless. Please, allow me to introduce you. The two you see standing before us may not look like much, but you may know them as Beelzebub and, Izanami No Mikoto."

I could see the strange looks on their face when he had announce my "name.",

"Yes, you heard me correctly," he said. "I will get to that explanation later. Kagome, Sesshomaru. This who I am sure you know is Ares the God of war. Athena, the Goddess of wisdom. Artemis, Goddes of the hunt. Achlys the Goddess of eternal night. I hope her name gives enough reason as to why she is here. Eris, the Goddess of Jealousy and discord, is a vile creature if I say so myself. To her that is nothing short of a compliment" He said, but she only smiled at him. Lastly, Hades, God of the greek underworld and ruler of the dead."

I hadn't even noticed him sitting there. It was like his presence was unnoticeable. He looked so… ghastly and decrepit. He had long black hair down to the floor. It was matted, just like the beard on his face. His skin reminded me of the leather you would see on an old couch. His eyes sunk deep into their sockets. He looked desiccated. Artemis on the other hand was beautiful. Her armor looked like it was titanium, and she had a bow in her lap that matched. Her hair was as white as snow, even brighter than Sesshomaru's. She gave me a small smile. Achlys… was another interesting one. She wore a single black gown. Her hair was slicked back. Her lips and fingertips were black and her eyes… there were no whites in her eyes. Just black staring back out at you. Eris had her eyes on me from the moment I walked in. She had this smile… And it just made me so uncomfortable. Her long black hair was pulled up into a high ponytail. A rust-colored staff in her right hand. Her outfit left little to the imagination. Black drapes covered her important parts, but everything else was exposed. To put it plainly she was beautiful and you could tell she knew that.

"Is this all?" I heard Sesshomaru say.

Ares looked over at him with an annoyed look on his face. "Are we not good enough for you? Do you think we cannot defeat you're petty little God? Your father."

"If you could have, you would have already done so." Sesshomaru said plainly.

Ares banged his spear, but Susanoo stepped in.

"Gentleman, please. We should not fight among ourselves. The reason that there are so few of us Sesshomaru, is that some of them need more convincing. If we succeed, only then will they recruit others, and bring their armies."

I blinked. What was I hearing? That they needed convincing?

I put my hands on my hips. "Why exactly do we have to convince you of anything?" I asked. "You need more convincing. What more convincing do you need? God and his army of celestial and for the most part indestructible children are coming, and them simply just coming here could destroy the earth, and you need more convincing? Need I remind you that celestials are much more powerful than Gods? If the earth goes so does everyone else. Meaning any of everyone who worships you, and prays to you, will be gone. Underworlds will be flooded with billions of souls, and Hades and Sesshomaru will have to deal with the brunt of it I'm assuming. There will be no one. There will be nothing. No more wars. No more causing discord among them. I've heard the stories of how your kind loves to sneak down into the mortal realm. To have fun and do whatever you pleased, but now when they need your help the most you need to be convinced to help them. No. I will not be convincing you to do anything. If you feel as though you can continue your little entitled lives without humans; then so be it." I said folding my arms.

A few months passed, then Hades laughed. It sounded dry.

"No one has ever talked to me like that, I will join you," Hades said.

"Join you? I should kill you where you stand." Ares chimed in."

"You would not make it out of your seat." Sesshomaru said simply.

Still, Eris' eyes were on me. "I will join you." She said

Athena and Artemis agreed to join us as well. The only two that hadn't said anything were Achlys and Ares. I couldn't tell if Achlys was looking at me or not. She had no expression on her face. She just sat there with her hands folded on the table.

"You think the lives of these mortals matter to me?" She leaned back into her chair. "I revel in their misery and bloodshed. The thought of their world being burned to the ground and them with it; brings me satisfaction. The destruction of man is a sight I am most eager to see."

I clenched my fists. "Then why are you here?"

"I came to see you. This supposed Goddess of death; commander of darkness. Now, apparently Izanami No Mikoto. All of these titles superseded you. You are nothing but a child. Coming here was a waste of my time."

"So leave. We don't have any use for anyone who doesn't want to help."

She slowly rose up from her seat. "Careful child." she'd said.

Achyls hands had turned black. A pitch-black mist came seeping out of her skin. I stepped forward, my hands glowing white hot.

"I am no child."
