Fury and Castle then heard the sound of wings flapping. They quickly turned to see what it was.
It was a pterodactyl.
Fury's eye widened and Castle was just as shocked. A green pterodactyl was flying toward them. He noticed something furry on the creature. It was weasel and two possums.
What the hell is going on? Fury thought, confused.
"Woah! Humans!" One of the possums said, surprised to see them.
Fury nearly fainted.
Present.
"Talking fuckin' animals. I couldn't believe it but they were talking." Fury said to the recorder."Eventually, we talked about what had happened and where we were from."
Past
After they introduced themselves and talked about where they were, Buck invited Fury and Castle to join them. Buck looked at the pterodactyl.
"It's not safe here, girl. Better take off for the night." The weasel said."Be careful."
The pterodactyl nodded and flew away. It was starting to get dark in the jungle.
Buck turned to the two humans."So, Mr. Fury and Mr. Castle," He smiled at them."I would invite you into my home but I don't think you fit in
"Home?" Said Eddie, confused.
"I live in a tree." Buck said to him."But I think we can talk out here for a little while. So, you guys tell me your from the future. What's it like?" Buck asked Fury and Castle.
The two soldiers looked at each other for a moment.
"It's...hard to explain to you." Fury told him.
"Well, can you at least tell me how ya' lost your eye?" Buck asked."Lost mine to a dinosaur named Rudy."
"A nazi shot me in the eye."
"What's a nazi?" Asked Crash.
"That doesn't matter. Listen, we need to find a way back to where we were."
"I don't know about that, mate. I don't know much about time-travel. Plus, I need to deal with a dino named Orson."
"Well, maybe me, Crash, and these humans can help you stop Orson." Said Eddie.
"Dude, up top!" Crash gave Eddie a high five.
"That's not our mission." Said Castle."We need to find a man named Giap and kill him."
"Who the hell even is Orson?" Fury asked Buck, a little curious.
"He's a dino trying to take over the Lost World. Back in the day, Orson was tough on his own. But now he's got some trained raptors, taking him down's gonna be a little bit trickier
"Why is he such a meanie anyway?" Asked Crash.
"Another good question, Eddie."
"I'm Crash."
"When he was young, Orson was teased and got all insecure about his big head. The bigger his head grew, so too did his brain and he realized that this was his greatest strength. But he came to believe that he was superior to everyone else. I tried to show him we were all equals. I even invited him to be a part of the team I belonged to.
"We established the watering hole as a place where all species could learn to peacefully co-exist. My team was dedicated to protecting it and making sure all animals down here lived in harmony."
"Woah! Like a superhero squad?" Asked Crash.
Fury frowned.
Present
"Superheroes. The stuff you see in comic books and shit like that." Said Fury.
Past
"Well, I wouldn't really use the term "superhero". I mean, I wouldn't stop you from using it. Anyway. Orson turned down my offer. He didn't believe in harmony. He believed in a world where the strong dominate the weak and that he should dominate all. And since I stood in his way, he set a trap to get rid of me. We defeated Orson that day. But at great cost. To keep the Lost World safe, we banished Orson to a place called Lava Island. And not the nice one. We thought a little alone time would help Orson to have a change of heart. But his heart hardened even more and he became obsessed with getting revenge. We didn't know he's have company. We're not sure how he survived. Or what happened next.
"All we know is that Orson somehow escaped from Lava Island with a couple of raptors under his command. And he was free."
"Ooh." Both Crash and Eddie said in unison.
"And then what happened?" Asked Crash.
"Then you two showed up and nearly got yourselves killed!"
"Yay! We're in the story!"
"Well, let's get you two to bed in my house." Buck said to the possums before he looked at the humans."You two will have to sleep out here."
Fury and Castle watched a hammer hit the weasel and the possums into a tree.
