Last and certainly not least Gharilley the water type starter

Professor Aspens Video log
"Hello everyone and welcome to our last video" Professor Aspen introduced with a wave Raichu waving besides him
"Raichuuu" Raichu saiw with a wave as he handed Professor Aspen the last pokeball on the table
"That's right Raichu today we'll be looking over the final starter available to trainers here in the Yddras region Gharilley" Professor Aspen held up the pokeball the capture device opened and in a flash of light a little Pokémon appeared on the table standing on two legs it was reptilian with navy blue scales covering its body with white spines running down its back white stripes running down its belly like the deck of a ship
The Pokemons most striking feature was a long narrow snout two small teeth framing the end "Ghar" the pokemon said
"This is Gharilley the gharial pokemon" Professor Aspen introduced while Raichu pulled out the screen bringing it in to frame Gharilley watched curiously before it curled up into a ball on the table and closed its eyes
"In the wild Gharilley float along the surface of lakes and rivers moving in incredible bursts of energy at sign of danger" Professor Aspen explained tapping on the remote the screen came to life showing a trio of Gharilley floating on the surface of a lake the top part of their bodies above the water as they moved along with the current
Professor Aspen tapped the remote again the screen changed to Gharilleys working with fire fighters spraying water against a burning building
"Gharilley and their evoulutions are often used by firefighters here in the Yddras region Gharriley especially their water attacks have a high water pressure thanks to their narrowing snouts increasing the water pressure as the water moves through their snouts"
Gharilley rolled onto its back shooting a stream of water in the air water rained down on Professor Aspen and Raichu
"Rai raichu" Raichu exclaimed not happy with suddenly getting its fur soaked shaking its body spraying water on Gharilley who being a water type enjoyed the water
"Thank you Gharriley" Professor Aspen said returning Gharilley "it was getting a little hot in here"
"Raichu" Raichu grumbled
"Oh come on you could stand to take a bath more often" Professor Aspen said chuckling to Raichu Raichu grumbled petulantly continuing to shake itself dry "my Raichu has never been the biggest fan of taking a bath ever since it was a Pichu"
"Rai Rai" Raichu grumbled
Professor Aspen clicked on the remote changing the footage of the floating Gharilley to a new pokemon it was a foot taller than Gharilley with a white belly smaller spines with a stubby one at the end of its tail like the rudder of a ship a shorter wider mouth and a large belly it was resting its hands against a red stripe running across its eyes like a maski
"This is Barqator the evolved form of Gharilley" Professor Aspen introduced "far more migratory than their preevolutions Barqators can often be see in the wild racing or battling against others of its kind Barqators as they get closer to evolution their rudder spine will begin to glow as seen in this footage of the Kolora city Grand Festival in the Kroma region"
Professor Aspen pushed the button on his remote bringing up the footage
There was a full crowd at the Grand Festival as the coordinators on the field were having a double battle on one side a girl who from her pink hair and blue eyes was obviously related to the Joy family dressed in a black dress pants with a matching vest cream colored button up shirt worn underneath
Her Pokemon were a Barquator and a bear like Pokémon with a barrel chested physique with short legs and long powerful looking arms nearly brushing against the ground it had black fur with fluffy silver patches on its forearms and shoulders a ring of grey fur wrapped around the top of its head underneath its ears like a crown
The girls opponent was a young woman in a red white and black dress with a short ruffled skirt no shoes on her feet flowers in her brown hair her pokemon were an Alfalphalops and a mega evolved Dropokol two fully evolved Pokemon
"Jarlar throw Barqator into the air with arm thrust Barquator use dragon jet" the pink haired coordinator ordered
"Jarl" Jarlar said as Barqator leapt into its hand Jarlars arm glowed white as it shot Barqator into the air with the speed of a cannon Barqator flew into the air
"Barq" Barqator said opening its mouth up wide forming dragon rage "ator" water formed around as he simultaneously used aqua jet shooting forward using the combination attack becoming a flaming watery missile
"Alfalphalops stop Barqator with hay fever Dropokol use mega punch" Alfalphalops stomped the ground its body glowing green as pollen filled the air swirling around the two pokemon stopping Barqator in mid air Dropokol leapt out of the pollen with a charged punch to throw at Barqator
Jarlar rushed forward intercepting the attack with a punch of its own their two fists collided pushing the two Pokemon apart "Alafalphalops use leaf blade"
"Alfal" Alafalphalops said rushing forward swinging its head swinging a powerful leaf blade hitting Jarlar and Barqator knocking the two of them back sending the two pokemon sliding across the field
"Wow what a powerful combination from Catalina" the MC said "but what else should you expect from a member of the Elite 4 with less than half of her points remaining can Jenna make a comeback"
"Barqator Jarlar can you two keep going" their trainer asked concerned Jarlar nodded gruffly
"Jarl" he answered despite the pollen making the pokemon cover his eyes
Barqator sneezed determined standing up the spine on its tail beginning to glow "Barrrqqqqaaaattoorrrrrrr" Barqator shouted as clouds began to form inside the arena rain poured down washing away the pollen as Barqator began to glow changing shape
"Whats this it looks like Barqator is evolving" the MC exclaimed sounding surprised while Barqator contiuned to change growing taller its tail growing longer when the glow stopped Barqator was gone in its place was a Pokémon standing at five foot seven with a long body a dragonic head with short ears four curved fangs two in the top two with two behind meshing together like puzzle pieces a red stripe around both of its eyes
Four powerful limbs ending in three fingers with red scales a white underbelly navy blue scales dangling from the sides two spines at the end of its tail
"Armaddddddillllleeeee" Armadile cried roaring its head pointing to the sky rain continued to pour down onto its now red and white scales
"Incredible Barqator has evolved into Armadile" the MC shouted to the cheering crowd "but will this surprise evolution be enough to turn the tide of the fight"
Professor Aspen watched the screen looking a little bit surprised "huh I forgot that bit at the end" he said absentmindedly "well I suppose that's one way to introduce Gharilleys final form Armadile the Longcroc Pokemon" he introduced changing the slide to an image of an Armadile pushing swimming on the ocean
"Armadile this water and dragon type are often found swimming in floats through the ocean moving as fast as a modern day speed boat thanks to the scales on either side operating like oars allowing them to swim and still have their limbs free for self defense or gathering prey"
Professor Aspen went to a different slide showing two pictures one of an Armadile and of a wooden ship with oars and a figurehead carved to look like an Armadile
"Long ago sailors and explorers from the Yddras region modeled their ships after Armadile" Professor Aspen explained before clicking on another slide "now for a last slide you all can see Armadile in action at the Indigo Plateau conference"
Professor Aspen pushed the button bringing up the footage
On the water field at the Armadile leapt out of the water hitting a Burrmudail with an aquatail attack sending it plummeting towards the water with a splash floating up with swirls in its eyes "Burrmudail is unable to battle the winner is Armadile" the referee called
"Armadile" Armadile cried out landing on one of the platforms floating in the water Armadile shook itself dry roaring on a metal band behind the water and dragon type pokemons tailspines was a mega stone
"Good job Armadile" Arnadiles trainer said dressed in a blue tank top with black cargo pants and red fingerless gloves a keystone on a wristband
"And in a startling upset Fergus's Armadile has beaten Nandos Burrmudail with one pokemon left will Nando be able to win" the announcer announced Fergus's opponent who was dressed like an old time minstrel carrying a harp shaped like a mew pulled out a pokeball returning Burrmudail "you did quite well my friend rest now"
Putting away the pokeball Nando pulled out another "our victory now rests upon your mighty shoulders Metalynx" Nando threw the pokeball releasing the fully evolved grass type starter from the Tandor region
"Lynx Metal Lynx" Metalynx said flexing its metal covered forelimb as it gained its balance on the water fields floating platform on its other leg was a band with a mega stone
"And for Nandos last pokemon he's chosen Metalynx with both trainers down to their last Pokemon who will win in the end Fergus or Nando"
"Hydro pump Armadile" Fergus ordered Armadile nodded before unleashing hydro pump spraying a torrent of water at Metalynx
"Use protect Metalynx" Nando calmly ordered as Metalynx protected itself from the attack "very good my friend now use energy ball"
Metalynx opened its mouth chlorophyll green energy formed around a white core in its mouth before it fired
"Dodge by going into the water Armadile" Armadile quickly dove into the water vanishing beneath the surface of the water Metalynx looked around searching for its opponent
"Use Surging Claws" Fergus ordered Armadile broke through the surface the claws on its forelimbs sheathed in glowing blue water Armadile dove down with its claws to the side
"Leaf tornado" Nando said strumming on his lyre
As Armadile swung with its claws Metalynx roared a tornado of leaves began spinning around its body Armadiles broke as it was enveloped by the leaf tornado before being sent flying back splashing into the water its head floating above the surface
"Armadile" Fergus shouted worried for his pokemon "are you all right"
Armadile opened its eyes nodding as it climbed back onto a platform "you're pretty good Nando" Fergus admitted after seeing that his Pokémon could keep on going
"The same to you" Nando replied tipping his hat in respect "your Armadile is well trained"
Fergus nodded "I wanted to save this till later in the tournament but I don't think we've got a choice are you with me Armadile"
"Dile" Armadile said as Fergus put a hand on his keystone which began to glow bursts of energy came from the stone connecting with Armadiles mega stone "than Armadile mega evolve"
Armadile began to glow as it changed growing larger its body became purple with a blue underbelly the water type now had a third set of legs with four white tail spines like the propeller of a motor boat at the end of its tail "Armadile" Armadile roared ready for a fight
"Very impressive" Nando admitted turning the lyre in his hand showing the Mew held a keystone "it seems we will have to step our game Metalynx" Metalynx nodded as with a strum of Nandos lyre the keystone glowed connecting with Metalynx "Metalynx mega evolve my friend show them your full strength"
Metalynx roared as it transformed into its mega evolved state the two mega evolved Pokemon ready to finish their fight
"Solar beam Metalynx" Nando calmly commanded
"Draco meteor Armadile" Fergus cried out
Ripples of orange energy rose up from Armadiles belly it shot its head up into the air as it fired a ball of orange energy into the sky meanwhile Metalynx was gathering solar energy into its tail as the orange ball exploded into a meteor shower Metalynx fired the solar beam attack the two attacks collided shaking the battlefield
"Surging claws" Armadile dove forward its scales and tail spines moving in unison as it sped across the water like a missile
"Metal claw" Nando responded Metalynx nodded a metallic gleam on its forelimbs as it leapt into the air Armadile leapt out of the water their claws colliding shaking the air in a stalemate the two broke apart landing on opposite platforms their backs to each other
Armadile fell to one knee panting before it pushed itself up onto its feet Metalynx was also tired having taken damage turned to face Armadile the two determinedly locked eyes prepared to keep fighting
"Energy ball"
"Dragon rage"
Both mega evolved Pokemon unleashed their attacks creating a cloud of smoke that enveloped the field
"Oh my goodness this is incredible" the MC cried out as with bated breath the audience waited for the smoke to clear to see who would still be standing when the smoke cleared Metalynx was still standing while Armadile was on the ground unable to keep going
"Armadile is unable to battle the winner is Metalynx and Nando" Metalynx let out a breath as it returned to its normal form looking to Armadile it nodded its head in respect like its trainer had done earlier "Metal"
"That was amazing wasn't it" Professor Aspen said as the clip ended "as you can see when properly trained Armadile can be very powerful even against those who'd have a type advantage against it"
"Raichu"
"That's right Raichu that was our last clip because we're done with our little series" Professor Aspen said "thank you so much for watching everyone please write in the comments which of the Yddras starters is your favorite and if you'd like to see and learn more about the Yddras region I'm professor Aspen and this is Raichu signing off"
"Chu Rai" Raichu said
And that's all I wrote now obviously a couple of things first acknowledging the Pokemon and trainers that weren't mine that made an appearance
Fergus all members of the Nurse Joy family and Nando are canon characters and property of the Pokemon company
Fergus was the guy from the first movie with the Gyrados
Metalynx is from Pokemon Uranium and is not mine
Alfalphalops and Catalina from the Kaskade region are the creations of Lockstin and Gnoggin
Dropokol is the fully evolved starter from the fan game Pokemon spectrum and yes it can mega evolve though weirdly it is the only one who can
Burrmudail is from the fan game Pokemon Sage
Now onto the Pokemon that are mine first Jarlar (Pronounced Jarl air) the hoarder Pokemon is a dark fighting type from the Yddras region
