Sonic X - Heroes from Mobius
The Last Resort
(I don't own Sonic the Hedgehog, all rights go towards SEGA)
(At Thorndyke Mansion)
Every Mobian and of course one Seedrian apart from Sonic who was laying on top of a few crates were preparing themselves for a trip to a Villa owned by the Thorndyke Family which is located at the Emerald Coast.
This time Bunnie Rabbot was around as she helps lift bags up into the X-Tornado where Cream was already at the seat as she was, the part-robot rabbit was impressed with it ever since she returned and has been told what happened during her absence.
"It's nice to get away after all we've been doing," Bunnie claims as she lifts one more bag up to Cream.
"Indeed," Sally agreed as she puts Nicole's Computer on her boot holster while she had a bag on her back "But where were you that day Eggman was stealing Satellites, Bunnie?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
The part-robot rabbit sweated a bit but she knew she can't keep secrets too long.
"Alright then," Bunnie says before taking a deep breath "I was out there away from the mansion, I wore a disguise like a long coat and thanks to my legs I was able to stretch up to the same height as humans to blend in, also with my stetson to hide my face," she explained and at the same time, it caught everyone's attention.
"I was looking for information on the others that might've made it to Earth, there were talks about us appearing that night and what's been happening over the last few days that we appear every time Eggman attacks."
"Hmm," Sally hummed as she processed the info given by Bunnie "I guess we're making ourselves known to humanity even more now ever since we were transported to Earth. But Bunnie what you did was take a major risk of not getting caught, just be careful next time." The chipmunk queen said with a face of concern and putting a hand on Bunnie's shoulder.
When she saw that face, it was something that she could never forget because Sally is always worried about everyone, Bunnie pats her hand on her shoulder and smiled in comfort.
"The new Emerald Coast Resort sounds like the perfect place to get away from it all!" Amy says out loud as she daydreams about it "You can hang out at the beach, or float in the crystal-clear ocean all day long, then dine as you watch the spectacular sunset. It sounds absolutely romantic!"
"I wish we were going to the opening party!" Amy said as she looks up at the ceiling as she daydreams and Sally & Bunnie rolled their eyes.
"I wish that too Amy, but we have to maintain a low profile and not get caught by the humans." Cosmo established as she was helping Tails.
"Thanks, Cosmo," Amy replied sarcastically as she sulks from being reminded about maintaining a low profile and all that.
"But we'll have fun at Thorndyke's Villa. Are you ready to go Cheese?" Cream sweetly asked and the Chao replied in excitement.
"I'm ready too, everyone!" Tails inform everyone in the room but Sonic peaks with one eye open as he was just laying down and then Chris dressed up in a fancy suit walks in with his grandfather "My flight plan will take us to the Emerald Coast."
"I wish I could hang out with them instead of going to the resort opening," Chris said as he and Chuck were watching them excited to go to the Villa.
"I know, but your mother couldn't make it so she'll need you to go in her place. You won't be staying long, after the opening you can go join the others at the villa." Chuck cheers up the boy but he thought otherwise.
"She can't make time for her only son but the only time she can make is making me go to these openings or parties in her place." Chris thought with a mad face that his grandfather noticed and sighed.
Sally also noticed while she was talking to Bunnie, she kind of overheard Chris & Chuck when they were talking and then she sighs.
"I guess he still has bad thoughts about his mother." Sally thought in worry because she fears for Chris as he quickly switches to a nervous smile from a mad face to make things look alright
"Well, it's great that can go to the villa after the opening," Chris said nervously before looking over towards the blue hedgehog "I can give you a swimming lesson Sonic."
He peeks as the boy told him he could give him swimming lessons but he knew he wasn't up for that.
"No thanks, you guys go on without me." Sonic declared as he wasn't up for swimming at the Emerald Coast.
Chris was confused about that answer with a couple of others but the rest understood completely.
"You mean you're not coming with us, Sonic?" Amy asked because she was excited to try and spend time with the blue hedgehog but he smirked and then jumps off the crates.
"That's right, have fun, I've gotta run!" Sonic said quickly then runs out of the room blowing wind from behind as it was from the speed.
"Why doesn't Sonic want to go to the Emerald Coast?" Chris questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Maybe it's because he hates water," Amy explained which turned Chris' attention "He won't go near the ocean because he can't swim."
As the boy was told this by the pink hedgehog, he started to remember something from a while ago.
Flashback
Chris was awoken by a noise and then he gets out of bed and out onto the balcony to investigate and then notices something was in the swimming pool.
The boy runs out of the room and then down the stairs while everyone was asleep in the Mansion.
He ran out the back door and then runs to the side of the pool and then reaches into the pool grabbing hold of whatever was in the pool before he knew it.
He felt a hold of something and then he pulls it back onto the side, he took a deep breath when he rescued something but then he notices it and with a shocked expression saw what looked like a small human-sized of a blue hedgehog and a chipmunk which were breathing or coughing up water.
"Thanks for saving us." The blue hedgehog thanked Chris who then gasped and that shock of the hedgehog can talk and possibly the chipmunk.
"You can talk!?" Chris said, "Who are you?"
"I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog, and this is Sally Acorn," Sonic smirked as he introduces himself and Sally.
But he soon realised she was still wounded and then stood up and grabbed her by the arm and then lean it over his shoulder.
Chris walked over to the other side, Sonic smiled in appreciation and the boy smiled back before they started to walk to the Mansion so the blue hedgehog and chipmunk can rest and heal up.
Flashback Ends
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." Chris realised when remembered that night when he first met Sonic & Sally "It was that night when I first met him and Sally when I rescued them from the pool."
Everyone apart from Sally was a little shocked at the story of Chris rescuing a couple of Mobians from the swimming pool.
"Indeed Chris, me and Sonic could not be any more grateful for taking us in." Sally smiles as she told Chris how thankful they were which raised a smile from the boy.
"All though," Tails thinks out loud "Sonic doesn't have to sim, he could go running on the beach." Cosmo nods in agreement with the two-tailed fox.
"I don't blame Sugah-hog, when my arm and legs became roboticized I could not swim anymore and not get caught in the water, I can handle the rain but I'm not fully waterproof in these," Bunnie explained as she looks over her arm and legs and saddens over her story of how it happened.
Everyone in the room was saddened even Chris & Chuck, but the word "roboticized" was new to them and guessed it was what they used back on Mobius.
Their thoughts were then interrupted by the car horn outside the Garage.
"Mr. Chris, we have to leave now or you'll be late for the ceremony!" Ella yelled out from the car at the front of the Mansion as she was dressed up for the ceremony with Mr. Tanaka.
"Well, better get going now, I'll see you later guys," Chris said as he walks out of the Garage to the car.
"Have a great time, Chris," Chuck called out.
"And don't be long!" The pink hedgehog yells out too.
"Alright everyone, it's time to go!" Tails call out and then everyone boards the X-Tornado and then he starts up the jet plane, Chuck smiles as he sees them boarded and ready then uses the remote, he used last time to tilt the trees.
"Next stop, the Emerald Coast, hang on!" Tails yelled and everyone did before he began speeding jet plane along the runway "Here we go!"
The X-Tornado then takes up into the sky, Chuck smiles as he watches the ground before he walks back into the Garage to do his usual thing.
With Chris, he sat in the back of the car along with Ella and Tanaka at the front with the butler as the driver.
The X-Tornado flies above them catching it as Chris saw and he smiles as it flew past him.
"Master Chris," The boy then looked over to Tanaka who called his name "Remember that you are representing the Thorndyke family on this." the butler reminded.
Chris nodded to assure Tanaka as he can see the boy nodding through the rear-view mirror on the windshield but his face turned into a frown as he was thinking why it had to be him and not his parents.
Tanaka & Ella noticed this through the rear-view mirror, they'd been with the Thorndyke family for a long time and they know what the boy was thinking and was feeling sorry for him, but decided to remain quiet.
Meanwhile, Sonic was lying on the grass in some meadow while looking at the sky, plenty of flowers grew at the place.
"Who needs the ocean?" Sonic smirked as he picks a flower and moves it up to his nose to get a good smell of it.
At the Emerald Coast, at the location of the Villa which had a nice overlook where you can watch the sea plus a few benches where you lay back and relax, the X-Tornado was parked at the front of the Villa, but luckily no one will come to the place and suspect something.
On the beach were Sally & Bunnie lying back on the beach chairs with an umbrella to go with it which is providing them shade from the sun.
Sally's swimwear was a blue bikini along with a dark blue skirt that comes with it with light & normal blue stripes that go around the hemline and she had a pair of black sunglasses with the same-coloured lens protecting eyes from the sun.
Bunnie was in her usual outfit but did have sunglasses on with her stetson hat, she may not be able to swim but it doesn't stop her from sunbathing.
"This place isn't so bad; Amy wasn't wrong about it being a perfect place to get away from everything," Bunnie commented as she breathes in the fresh air as she relaxes.
Sally hummed in agreement "I wish Sonic was here to enjoy this, he doesn't have to go IN the water, all he could do was enjoy the sights and the sun." she thought.
"Yep, but pity Sonic isn't here to relax." The chipmunk queen said as she sighed.
"Don't worry Sally-Girl, I'm sure Sugar-Hog is doing fine, he just has his own coping mechanisms." the rabbot reassures Sally as she nods in agreement and then looks towards the ocean seeing Tails, Cosmo and Cream, but for Cheese the Chao he was floating in the small rubber ring.
Cosmo's swimwear was a green one-shoulder top swimsuit with a green bikini skirt that reaches close to her knees.
She was splashing water at the cute rabbit and she splashes back but they quickly cover the eyes to prevent saltwater from getting into their eyes, they laugh away along with the Chao as he watches.
Cosmo got splashed from behind in surprise and turns around to see Tails laughing which was obvious he was the one who did it.
The plant girl then smirked before diving underwater and disappearing, Tails looked for a moment before looking around to see where Cosmo will pop up, but all of a sudden he felt something grab his leg and then yelped as he was dragged underwater.
Tails opened his eyes as he sees himself underwater but feels someone touch his shoulder then turns to see Cosmo smiling at him as he smiles back before heading to the surface of the water.
Tails pop up to the surface with Cosmo following behind and they took deep breaths and then laugh together and Cream does too when she witnessed what happened.
Amy was snorkelling underwater when she was seeing coral surfaces and fish passing by as she smiled and the heads to the swims up to the surface then after that, she took a deep breath as she notices the others.
"This place is unbelievable!" Amy commented excitedly as she took her goggles off.
"It sure is, Amy! I'm really glad we came here." Tails claimed that they definitely deserved a break also so he can spend time with his cute angel girlfriend.
"It's beautiful," Cosmo commented too as she was observing the ocean and the beach.
"And we'll have even more fun when Chris gets here." Cream reminded everyone as they nod in agreement and Cheese chao'd.
"Speaking of fun." Tails smirked as he surprises Cosmo by splashing her with water and then laughs as she did too, she then splashes back and Amy & Cream laugh as they watch.
At the opening ceremony, while the others were having fun and relaxing, Fireworks were launched into the air to celebrate
Chris was there to greet everyone and chat with them with Ella & Tanaka standing by him.
The boy has done a few greetings and chats with them so far with a good smile that he can put as best, he breathes out because he was bored.
"Try to look interested." Mr. Tanaka informed Chris and he did as he soon saw another guest and then shakes his hand and then smiles.
"Nice to see you, Master Thorndyke." The guest greets the boy and nodded before the guest went off to talk with other guests.
"It should be Mom or Dad doing this so I can play with my friends on the beach, it's the only thing they're good at while not spending with me." Chris thought with a mad expression but was quickly changed as he greets a guest again.
Back at the beach, Amy walks along it while looking towards the ocean admiring its beauty.
"Lovely... I just wish Sonic was here to enjoy this with me..." Amy starts to fantasise about her and the blue hedgehog.
On the beach Sonic & Amy were together, playing on the beach, and swimming with the pink hedgehog there to help, they laughed together with all the fun they had together.
The day ends with a sun setting over the horizon of the ocean making it glitter, Sonic & Amy were sitting on the grass as they were admiring the view.
They then looked at each other, Sonic with his usual smirk and Amy smiling with all the romantic evening they had, they start to learn forward as they got closer, and they closed their eyes before...
"It would be SO romantic! We'd be SO happy!" Amy fantasised as she smiles and waved her head about like crazy but then was interrupted as a coconut hit her in the head making her fall forward.
After she recovered a bit, she turned her head to face the coconut in anger and then stands up and walks over to it picking it up.
"You just ruined my fantasy!" Amy yells as she throws the coconut out into the ocean and then it trails along it like a rock but then it hits something which sounds like metal like a clang.
It was sinking underwater revealing that looks like some kind of octopus made of metal and it continues to go deeper.
Back with Amy as she was still angry but was taking deep breaths, thankfully her expression changed as she calms down.
"Thinking about Sonic can make me crazy." Amy thought as she smiles and then breathed out.
She then hears voices from close by, going to find out the source as she was getting closer, she stopped then notices a man and woman talking to each other and laughing, they won't be able to notice Amy.
She can tell they are a couple as felt jealousy build up a bit then saddens her.
"Sonic, where are you!?" Amy yells out towards the ocean; she just wishes the blue hedgehog to pop out of nowhere and then have fun like in her fantasy, but she knew wishes can't come true like that.
"I made something for you." Amy heard and looks over to the couple once more and sees a woman with her holding a hand out with something in it.
"For me?" The boyfriend asked in wonder and his girlfriend giggled at the question.
"Yes. It's a lucky charm I made for you which is just like mine," The girlfriend describes and shows her wrist with the lucky charm bracelet of her own and Amy sees that it's made out of seashells.
"It's for when you go into the water, it will bring you good luck." The girlfriend said then her boyfriend smiled and takes the bracelet and puts it around his wrist.
"Thank you. I'll always wear it and think about you." The boyfriend said then they hold hands with the bracelets on each wrist indicating their bond is strong.
Amy watched the whole moment and she smiles a bit, then turns around to head back to the beach near the Villa, but then she looks down at her feet and sees that a seashell washed up.
She picks it up to take a closer look at it and thought back to the woman who gave a lucky charm bracelet to her boyfriend, Amy puts her left hand on her chin and thinks as if an idea popped into her head.
"Hmm," After Amy returned to the beach where her friends were, she started to gather the seashells she needed for something.
Tails, Cosmo, Cream & Cheese were building a sand castle together and Sally & Bunnie was still relaxing, the pink hedgehog wasn't paying attention to the others when she was busy gathering.
The chipmunk queen looked towards Amy and wonder what she was up to, but did see that she had one hand with seashells as she collected them.
"What are you doing Amy?" Sally asked with a raised eyebrow and the pink hedgehog looked towards her.
"Gathering seashells," Amy claimed and went back to it, which made Sally even more confused.
"What for?"
"Nothing important." Amy lied because she didn't want anyone to find out, she then realised that she collected enough seashells and head backs towards the Villa with Sally staring at her back.
"What was that about?" she questioned as she watches Amy.
"I don't know Sally-Girl," Bunnie said raising her shoulders in confusion before looking back at the ocean and soon Sally looked back too.
Amy was sitting in the beach chair at the Villa, looking at the lucky charm bracelet she finished, it took some time but she did her best to replicate it as best from when she saw the couple wearing bracelets together now.
"I wonder what Sonic would think of it," Amy questioned with a raised eyebrow and then shines the bracelet at the sunlight and one of the shells reflects it as she smiles a bit.
"What's that Amy?" Cream pops out of no way in front of the bracelet that was reflecting the sun, the pink hedgehog quickly hides it behind her back.
"N-Nothing!" Amy nervously said with sweat on her head, but Cream didn't quite believe it.
"You didn't make that for Sonic, did you?" Cream questioned because she knew that Sonic & Sally liked each other.
"No, of course not." Amy lies to try to make sure that no one finds out it actually is for the blue hedgehog, Cream is having doubts right now as she crossed her arms.
All of a sudden, an explosion occurs shocking Amy & Cream, also the others on the beach were shocked when the explosion happened Tails, Cosmo & Cheese ducked their heads but Sally & Bunnie stood to see the source of the explosion.
Cosmo lifts her head to see and straight as she looks forward and her expression turns to shock to see where it came from.
"Over there!" Cosmo yells out as she points to the source, everyone looked soon as Amy & Cream arrived to see where came from, which was the place where Chris went to greet everyone at the ceremony as they see smoke coming from it.
More explosions happen as an octopus-based robot called E-38 Octoron emerges from the ocean attacking everything in its sight making the public leave in panic but Chris, Tanaka & Ella stayed behind.
Soon enough they see Dr. Eggman arrive in his Egg Mobile as he smirks at the destruction caused by his robot.
"I'm going to turn the Emerald Coast Resort into MY kind of resort." Eggman laughs evilly as robots called E-39 Quizon to emerge from the ocean with various tools attached to them standing at the beach awaiting their master's command.
"Now, commence de-construction!" Eggman orders and then the Quizon's charges for the hotel and begins to demolish it.
Chris along with Ella & Tanaka watch as the hotel disappears from the de-constructions shocking them, the evil doctor then hovers right above them.
"You will be my first guests!" Eggman declared as a sign rises from the smoke saying Eggman Scream Park, "Welcome to Eggman's Scream Park, where your first vacation is guaranteed to be your last!" he laughs evilly making Chris really nervous.
"Stand back Chris, as your father's servant it is my duty to protect you, even if it means sacrificing myself!" Mr. Tanaka said as he stands in front of the boy to protect but Ella pulls the butler back.
"Easy Tanaka! You aren't even strong enough to lick a stamp." Ella declares and the butler bows his head and then straightens his tie.
"Right now, our only hope is Sonic." Chris declared and the butler and maid agreed with him by nodding.
(At Thorndyke Mansion)
Sonic ran back to the mansion while carrying a couple of flowers after being at the meadow he was at while everyone and his friends were heading to the Emerald Coast, he pretty much figured he spent long enough at the meadow so he returned.
"Hey! Huh?" Sonic entered the living room through the door that leads to it and the Garage, but he finds the room empty, he soon realised.
"They must be still at the Emerald Coast," Sonic said as he walks over to the small table with a vase on it and puts the flowers inside it.
"You don't see beautiful flowers like this at the seaside, the mountains are far superior," Sonic commented in a fancy voice at the end.
"Sonic!" the blue hedgehog switches his focus to Chuck who called his name at the doorway with a stern face "So, you're finally here."
"Yeah?" Sonic answered in confusion as Chris' grandfather walks over and reaches for the TV remote on the table and then turns on the news.
"A gang of robot destroyers has been wrecking the hotels all along the Emerald Coast, the situation is growing more dangerous by the hour but the authorities have issued evacuation orders." The man on TV reported as the resort was being destroyed on the scene.
"We're still getting a head count on how many people were at the resort, as far as we know is that there is no one-" The TV cuts for a second before it switches to Dr. Eggman who was smirking evilly on the camera and laughs.
This sends Sonic into shock as he sees Eggman on the screen as he was destroying the resort.
"The owners of the Emerald Coast Resort didn't invite me to their opening, so I knocked it down and turned it into my own vacation destination! It is now... Eggman's Scream Park!" Eggman announced as he sees the sign saying what he said.
The blue hedgehog growled at the sight of it, but he and Chuck were then startled by the sound of laughter and it was Bokkun standing on the table holding a round bomb with a lit fuse.
"I've brought a personal invitation; your friend Chris is already there and he's having a great time! Stop by and we'll have a real BLAST!" Bokkun joked before leaving the bomb on the coffee table.
Sonic quickly picked it up and panicked and then "BOOM!" as it did Bokkun flew away laughing, leaving the blue hedgehog and the old scientist charred but Sonic shook it off and then runs off out of the mansion to the Emerald Coast.
Leaving Chuck still charred from the bomb.
Meanwhile, the Emerald Coast resort was quickly falling apart because the mad doctor is ordering the E-39s to take down the hotels and replace them with amusement park rides of Dr. Eggman's own design.
Back at the Villa, Amy, Cream & Cosmo were back in their normal clothing including Sally who is with Tails at the moment, the pink hedgehog was seeing through the binoculars what was going on at the resort.
She then gasps after seeing the mad doctor through the scope.
"What it is? What do you see Sugah?" Bunnie asked as she was standing next to Amy.
"It's Eggman!" Amy called out which made everyone gasp as she did.
"Oh, my stars! Chris is over there!" Bunnie realised worriedly.
"Stand back!" A male voice from behind them yelled and they see Tails pull in the X-Tornado with Sally in the seat behind him so they stood back "We gotta save Chris!"
Amy looked back at the destruction of the resort and she knew she couldn't stand around not doing anything, shocking Cream, Cosmo & Bunnie she tossed the binoculars to the part-robot rabbit before jumping up to the X-Tornado into the passenger back seat.
"Amy, what are you doing!?" Sally asked.
"Sonic's gonna show up to help, but if he doesn't then Chris will need ALL the help he can get," Amy said with determination, which meant to Sally she wasn't going to take no for answer.
"Very well," Sally nodded to Amy before looking towards the part-robot rabbit "Bunnie, stay here and watch the children until we get back." The chipmunk queen ordered.
"Don't worry Sally-Girl, I'll take good care of them." Bunnie gestured with a fist pump with her left robot arm, at that Sally smiled.
"Okay, here we go!" Tails said as he closed all hatches before he took off at full speed and the passengers felt the force of it, it flew past Bunnie, Cream & Cosmo as it takes to the air.
"I hope they come back safely." Cream said worriedly while cuddling Cheese as he chao'd in agreement.
"I agree, and I hope Chris is okay," Cosmo replied as she clutches her hand close to her heart in concern, Bunnie nodded in agreement as she rests each hand on their shoulders.
At the resort, Eggman's Scream Park was being built rapidly, with few coasters and scary rides, plus there was a Sphinx statue with the mad doctor's face on it.
"Build faster! Don't use too many nails and bolts, and make sure you water down the cement, I want these rides to be the MOST dangerous in the universe!" Eggman laughs evilly before moving over to Chris, Tanaka & Ella as they watch in fear but not the butler.
"And since you three are the first here, you will be the first enjoy to my rides, STARTING with the boy!" Eggman smirked as he pointed out to Chris.
The boy can only just shake in fear but his butler protects him and the housemaid was in fear too.
Suddenly, a blue streak speeds through the metal structure of one of the rides causing it to collapse along with the E-39 robots, which caused Eggman to yell in shock.
The blue streak was in the shape of a buzzsaw which was how it cut through the structure landing in the middle of the few destroyed E-39 robots revealing that it was Sonic the Hedgehog.
"Well, well..." Sonic smirked as he sees Dr. Eggface mad since he was the one that destroyed a piece of Eggman's Scream Park.
"Sonic!" Chris cried out as he sees the fastest thing alive turn up to save the day who turned around to greet Chris.
"Hiya, Chris! Thought I'd drop by for a visit." Sonic said with a thumbs up making the boy along with Tanaka & Ella less worried.
"You fell right into my trap Sonic!" Eggman smirked as the blue hedgehog looks back at the evil doctor "I know you can't swim so I lured you to the sea!" Sonic then puts on a serious expression.
"Get him Octoron!" Eggman ordered and then the Badnik launches its tentacles at Sonic but he smirks and dodges the attacks by zigzagging fast then dashed towards E-38 Octoron then jumps in the air avoiding more attacks.
Sonic then attempts to kick Octoron as he starts the fall, but its tentacle then interferes with the attack by using it like a shield which was made of rubber before it could hit the Badnik, the blue hedgehog blinks before the rubber tentacle bounces him back catching him off guard which gave E-39 Octoron chance to grab him.
Sonic was now wrapped by the tentacle and he tries to break free as Eggman watches and smirks evilly.
"You won't get away." the evil doctor claims.
"Oh yeah? Just watch me!" Sonic retorted as he keeps trying to break free from the grip of the tentacle.
"No, you watch this." Eggman retorted back as he clicks his fingers, making a sign for the Badnik to submerge Sonic underwater, making him struggle even more to break free and get out of the water.
"Sonic! Let him go!" Chris yelled in panic and wants to run to help but Tanaka & Ella holds the boy back.
"I'm giving Sonic a chance to forfeit the fight! Or forfeit his life!" Eggman laughs crazily then snaps his fingers again making Octoron resurface Sonic out of the water.
"Well, how do you like the ocean?" Eggman asked as he smirks.
Sonic spits some seawater and then takes a deep breath before smirking back at the mad doctor "It's delightful!"
"Good, but let's see how long you're able to STAY under!" Eggman threatens as he snaps his fingers.
E-38 Octoron catches Sonic off guard when he was smirking by pulling him back towards the ocean, but he then starts to run desperately since he managed to touch the ground before he could touch the water.
"Don't let that hedgehog slip out of your grip Octoron! Haul him back into the ocean!" Eggman orders as the Badnik attempts to pull him back in by also moving back into the ocean, Sonic was still trying to run to get away but he was being pulled back slowly.
In the air, as the X-Tornado was starting to fly above the pilot and the passengers started to notice what was happening.
"Look!" Tails called to Sally & Amy as he was looking in the direction of where Octoron was pulling Sonic towards the ocean.
"Sonic's in trouble! Get us closer Tails." Sally ordered and the two-tailed fox nodded but Amy was just watching the whole thing go down.
"Come on Octoron! Flex those tentacles!" Eggman yelled as Octoron was in the water now and Sonic was closing in the side but he was running out of steam really quickly when kept on running.
"Sonic!" Amy yelled as she couldn't stand watching anymore and do nothing, so she opens the windshield glass and prepares to jump.
"Amy, wait!" Sally noticed what the pink hedgehog was going to do as she called out her name to try and stop her but she jumps out.
"LET HIM GOOO!" Amy yells as she was falling and Sally & Tails panic.
As she got closer, she pulls out her hammer and lifts it over her head then smashes the tentacle hard, causing it to break apart, as one end released Sonic the other one whipped back and whacked E-38 Octoron knocking it backwards in the water.
"How could you!" Eggman screamed in panic as he saw his precious Badnik get whacked by its own tentacle and knocked into the water, it now struggles to stand up again and Sonic has a serious expression on him.
"Hey, Sonic!" The hedgehog heard his name called and looks up at the sky and sees the X-Tornado, Tails launches a ring and as soon he saw he ran towards the broken and used it like a ramp so he could reach for the ring.
As soon as Sonic grabbed it, he smirked as the ring glows in his hand he uses it then curls up into a spinball and then goes right into Octoron and smashes around in it like a pinball machine before exiting and then causing it to fall back again and then it explodes in the water.
The explosion launched some water into the air and kind of blew Eggman's mobile back a bit and after that he refocuses.
"No!" Eggman yelled in frustration as Sonic landed on the ground from his spin attack and smirks after his small victory.
"Sonic!" Amy cries out she smiles and runs over to Sonic hugging him which made Sonic sweat a bit nervously.
"Take it easy Amy," Sonic said, above them, the X-Tornado was closing now for Sally to jump out of the jet as she lands on the ground and notices Amy hugging Sonic and then rolls her eyes, the moment was interrupted as they heard growling.
"You won this time, but I'm not through!" Eggman threatened as he turned around a flew away on his mobile.
"Yeah right." Sonic joked at the same time before seeing Sally walk up to him and the pink hedgehog, she smiled to see Sonic was okay, but as for Amy.
"Amy Rose, what you did was crazy! You could've seriously got hurt if you didn't miss Eggman's robot." Sally pointed in anger and Amy too got mad and crossed her arms and looks away.
"But..." Sally calms down as she explains the rest "I can't deny that you saved Sonic, and maybe your actions were the right call you made, so well done." Sally commented as she smiled, Amy blinked as she looked back in shock, but then smiled and nods at Sally as she nods back.
"Guess I can get some respect from her." Amy thought proudly.
"I didn't really need saving, I had it under control." Sonic kinda joked as he rubbed the back of his head which made both Sally & Amy roll their eyes and laughed at the same time.
Nicole's computer started making a noise in Sally's boot holster, she pulls it out and was receiving a call from Tails who was piloting the X-Tornado as she answers it.
"Sally, is everything okay down there?" Tails asked when he saw the whole thing in the sky since he was like patrolling the air.
"Everything's fine now Tails." Sally confirmed which made the two-tailed fox breathes out to calm down "Yeah, and thanks for the ring!" Sonic thanked them when he got close to Sally so he could thank Tails.
"Hey, Sonic," Amy called as he looks over at her walking toward him, Sally closes up Nicole's computer before she puts it back in her holster and looks over to Amy as she stands in front of Sonic now.
The pink hedgehog reaches into her pocket and pulls out the bracelet she made when she was watching the couple earlier with the exact same one.
"This is a bracelet, I made to protect you in the water," Amy explained as she held out the bracelet in both hands.
"You... made that for me?" Sonic asked as he was looking at the bracelet, Sally wondered what it was but after hearing Amy explain, she could just feel a growing jealousy as she clutches her hand into a fist.
"If you wear it, it'll bring you good luck." Sonic looked towards Amy when she explained more before looking back towards the bracelet and starting to reach for it.
Just when he was about to grab it, the grounds cause Amy to tumble and accidentally throw the bracelet and she quickly grabs Sonic to steady herself.
She quickly notices the bracelet is no longer in her hand and sees it land on the ground across from them.
"The bracelet!" Amy yells as she reaches out for it but was quickly pulled back by Sally as she notices several E-39 Quizon robots stacked above them, it formed into a snake-like robot called E-39 Serpenter.
(Its original name didn't have E-39 in it, also in the anime version it was called E-39 Neo but I decided to go for E-39 Serpenter)
The Badnik lands on the ground where the bracelet was and destroys it in the process.
"No!" Amy cried out of the bracelet being destroyed, but Sonic & Sally were looking at the E-39 Serpenter when it formed in front of them and Eggman appears in front of them.
"I told you Sonic, I wasn't through with you! My Quizon has merged to form Serpenter and it's ready to strike!" Eggman evilly smirks since he had a backup plan if Octoron failed which it did.
"Really, that is pretty tall, but I bet in battle it comes up short!" Sonic joked as he laughed, Sally laughed a bit as she hid it behind her clutched fist against her mouth as she was trying to hold it back.
"You'll need more than speed to survive THIS robot, Sonic!" Eggman growled as E-39 Serpenter begins to attack but was rather slow.
Sonic & Sally looked at each other and nodded and the blue hedgehog then smirks before he runs up to it.
"Hey, fangface! I'm right here, come and hit me!" Sonic taunts as the Badnik then tries to hit him with its tail, but he jumped away and ran behind E-39 Serpenter at a distance.
"Ha-ha, you missed me!" Sonic joked as he was waving his arms in the air.
"Get him Serpenter!" Eggman yelled out as the Badnik slithered slowly towards Sonic.
"Yeah, you heard your boss! Come and catch me!" Sonic taunts, even more, thanks to Sonic that the mad doctor and E-39 Serpenter were distracted, Sally now begins to sneak up behind them with her arms prepared to deploy her wrist blades.
However, Amy was so upset to notice what was happening, she walks up to the bracelet and kneels down to pick it up. She looks at the pieces and she starts to cry.
"I guess... my charm... wasn't so... lucky..." Amy said as she cried and tears flowed down her cheeks and closes her eyes, after crying for a few seconds she clutches her broken bracelet.
Her face changed as she then opens her eyes up with a fury of anger.
"Alright Serpenter, Put the squeeze on Sonic and toss him out to sea!" Eggman yelled out and luckily Sally was behind the Badnik and ready to deploy her wrist blades.
"NOW YOU'RE GONNA PAY!" Sally heard and looks behind her and sees Amy VERY angry as she jumps over the chipmunk queen, also it catches Eggman and Sonic's attention.
Amy strikes the Badniks tail making it lean back, Sonic & Sally was shocked but Eggman was more nervous.
The pink hedgehog then lands on E-39 Serpenter then continues to swing her hammer, destroying the Badnik layers one by one.
Sonic & Sally just stand with open mouth shocked expressions as Amy destroys the Badnik all by herself from swing her hammer on the layers of the robot.
Eggman ducks from the layer as it almost hits him and becomes really scared of Amy and her anger.
"Oh no... perhaps... I'd... better go now..." Eggman said in fright as he backs up on his mobile to fly away.
Amy strikes E-39 Serpenter's down flat and jumps on top of it then swing at its head, but the Badniks head spring launches Amy into the air.
Eggman sees Amy coming towards him as she was launched, the pink hedgehog then swings her hammer on Eggman's mobile making him scream as he was falling towards the ocean.
Eggman surfaced as the mobile turned over towards the surface so he can spit out water and breathe, however, he notices Amy coming down from the sky.
Amy raises her hammer behind her head and then screams in anger, but the doctor was screaming before the pink hedgehog's hammer impacted him.
The impact created a huge splash, making Sonic & Sally gasp, Chris along with Tanaka & Ella witnessed the whole and gasped too along with some guests that were invited to the party at the resort before Eggman invaded.
"AMY!" Sonic yells as he runs at normal speed towards the ocean.
"No, Sonic!" Chris yelled in a panic because he knew what the blue hedgehog was going to do and so did Sally as she tried to stop him.
But it was too late as Sonic took a deep breath and took a dive in the water creating a small splash and swimming after Amy, Sally came to a halt as she was too late.
"Sonic!" Sally yelled in distress because she knew Sonic couldn't swim and was worried that he won't make it.
"I don't believe it, Sonic's swimming!" Tails yelled in surprise when he watched from the sky.
In the ocean, Amy's hammer impacted Eggman and caused a major splash and making her drop into the ocean, she was slowly floating down deeper into the ocean.
With a small amount of consciousness left, she opens her eyes a bit and seemingly notices Sonic swimming towards her, but her sight started to blur out and then lost consciousness, she held a broken part of the bracelet in her hand as she was getting closer to the ocean floor.
While all that was happening, Amy was daydreaming that she was chasing Sonic across the beach as she tries to reach for him.
"Sonic! Wait for me!" Amy cries out then Sonic suddenly comes to a stop making Amy slow down as she gets closer to him, he reaches out to grab him and then he turns around to face her.
"Wake up, Amy!" Sonic said in a squeaky voice which shocked Amy but everything around turned white and soon turned bright as she closes her eyes.
"You serious... Sugar-Hog just jumped into the water and rescued Amy... wow, who knew..." Amy heard what sounded almost like muffled voices speaking back, but the first voice she recognised, she moves a bit and opens her eyes slowly, and she sees a like two blurs standing side to side with her.
"She's waking up!" Amy blinked and soon the blur that spoke cleared up and appeared to be Cosmo the Seedrian, also on Amy's right was Cream the Rabbit with a couple of glassy eyes which Cosmo had too.
Bunnie soon walks up behind Cream and notices Amy as she smiles.
"Hey Sugar, glad to see you're okay," Bunnie said in relief, Sally was there too but was leaning over the low wall with her face turned away from everyone as she watches the sunset.
Amy notices she was laying down on the beach chair and then sits up but was kinda weak and then sits still.
"Easy Sugar, you tired yourself out which was why you were unconscious," Bunnie tells Amy to take it easy.
"Where... am I?" Amy asks as she slowly looks around.
"Your back Chris' villa, Tails & Chris brought you back here in the X-Tornado." Cream told Amy as she soon recognises her surroundings but suddenly remembered.
"Is... Sonic okay!?" Amy worriedly as she almost jumps out of her chair.
"Sugar-Hog's fine, he went back home as soon as you were brought back here safely." The part-robot rabbit reassures.
"Oh..." Amy was disappointed by then remembered and looked in her hand that the bracelet was missing.
"The bracelet's gone!" Amy cried as tears started to leak from her eyes "I made it just for him and now it's gone..."
"Don't cry, Amy..." Cream saddens and Cheese chao'd in agreement, Cosmo puts a hand on Amy's shoulder as she was upset for Amy too.
"I think Sonic's very lucky." Cream tries to cheer up Amy, Bunnie puts her right arm which was real and not made of metal on her head which made her giggle a bit as she felt the pat on the head, making them both smile.
Sally who was still staring at the sunset listened to her friends, she clutches her hands together after everything that happened today, right now she was confused about what to feel like because of what she felt in one day.
Worry, anger, happiness, jealousy, and finally distress, but the last thing she felt was more important because she thought Sonic was going to die, as she thought that she clutches her hands tighter like you can hear a click, almost hurting herself.
Sally took a deep breath to calm down, and focuses on the good things, she smiled a bit as she looked towards the sunset.
"Sonic, we need you all to survive so we can all go home together, I need you to survive." Sally thought as a tear runs down her cheek and wipes it away before turning her back towards the sunset and walking over to her friends to comfort Amy.
At Sonic's location, he wasn't back at Thorndyke Mansion, he was somewhere else sitting on a cliff, watching the sunset, he then sneezes before rubbing his finger on his nose.
"Sonic, you've gotta stay out of the water!" Sonic joked a bit as he was hoping he wasn't catching a cold like the last time but was from space.
Sonic the Hedgehog then stands up proudly with a look of determination as he watches the sunset, also that bracelet that went missing is not missing at all, he was wearing Amy's bracelet on his left wrist, the small rope of it was broken but was fixed up and with a few replaced exact seashells that Amy found.
Sonic looks at the good luck charm Amy made him and smirks one more time before clutching his hand into a fist and lowering it, thus bringing this chapter to a close.
An all well planned of a day off was going well until Dr. Eggman attacked the Emerald Coast Resort, but thankfully Sonic who wasn't with the others did show up to stop Eggman, but it all changed because Amy Rose defeated Eggman herself out of anger for his Badnik smashing up the bracelet she made for Sonic, you would think she would have anger problems? but she did get a bit of praise from Sally at least but was confused about what to think because after what happened, does she hate Amy even more now? well, that answer will have to wait.
Author's Note: Sorry for the long wait people, I hope you'll be happy with this chapter and of course future updates for them all because I promised myself I would rewrite errors and all that after a few halves of the fanfic.
Also, the idea of Cosmo's swimwear was mine which I got written down but no art, but I did think it was suitable, I tried my best mentioning the description of the swimwear in the fic but I hope no errors were done.
