Disclaimer: I do not own Spider-Man. I only own the OC George Edwards/The Bladewolf.
"I'm curious on why you sought me out considering our last encounter." George told his... 'partner' as he and the Black Cat stood on a rooftop, overlooking some high-end apartments. The pair had driven to one of Cat's hideouts and changed into their gear before parkouring their way to the target.
Felicia smirked as she looked down at the rooftops below, and George saw what had caught her eye. "I've been planning this little job for two weeks now, one of Kingpin's top lieutenants lives in that penthouse. I can get past the automated security and have the access code to the safe." she explained as her smile was now a full-on predatory grin.
"And you need me because...?" George trailed off.
"Kingpin's getting antsy, something about some vigilante gunning for his operations." she said as she turned to George, who merely shrugged in reply. "So, he's got more guards at all of his operations and residences of his top people. The code I have is only good for the next five hours, so I need to do this tonight. And because you're the reason the guards are here, I'm going to have you get rid of them for me."
George hummed. "Well, I hope you have strong stomach because these guys will-"
"No guns, big guy." Felicia cut in, placing a clawed hand pressed firmly against his chest. "I can't have you damaging the merchandise, so you'll have to improvise."
George rolled his eyes but nodded. "Very well then. What's the plan?"
"You're going straight through the front door and cause a ruckus. I'll handle anyone who is still guarding the vault." She answered as she extended the retractable claws on her gloves. "Once that's done, we go through the place and help ourselves."
George nodded before he gestured to the building. "Ladies first."
Felicia smirked as she stood and sprinted off, leaving the vigilante to take in the view before she climbed up to another rooftop so she could go around and avoid the sentries posted on the roofs.
'What have I gotten myself into?' George couldn't help but think before he ran as well and jumped, shooting his grapple hook and he swung using his feet to kick the nearest suited guard in the face and knock him out cold.
"Hey! You there!" Yelled another as he came running up towards the Bladewolf, only for the armoured vigilante to whirl around and punch him in the throat then wrap his arms around him tightly before he brutally snapped the neck and tossed the body behind him into another that had been sneaking up on him. George kicked the guard's gun away, pulled out his knife and brought it down into the man's neck while keeping his mouth covered to prevent screaming from being heard.
"Mediocre." George commented as he continued on.
"Goodnight." whispered Felicia as she silently subdued the last of the suited thugs inside a small security office. This had been too easy, there had only been the two to monitor the feeds, the others that were in there had run up to the roof to take on her backup. It was nice to have a partner and not be forced to give up some of the simple things, like loot. Though she had to be careful, Bladewolf clearly didn't trust right away, and she knew he didn't trust her even after their sensual dance and makeout session in his car.
"Time for the main event." She said as she removed the guard from his chair and deposited him unceremoniously on the floor and took his place. With deft keystrokes, Felicia swapped around the feeds until she found the one she was looking for.
The Bladewolf had clearly been busy, if the knocked-out goons that lay strewn about were any indication. He was currently dealing with the last two guards, kicking one in the knee and bringing his elbow down on the back of the man's head before turning to the last.
The guard charged him and dove at the vigilante, only for the armored assassin to side-step him, push him up against the wall and stab him in the chest then quickly covered his mouth and stabbed him upwards into the mouth, staring into the man's eyes as he died.
The Bladewolf then turned his attention from the dead man as the doors flew open and the last six guards charged in and surrounded the lone vigilante in a semi-circle. He turned towards each of them at random, head swivelling.
"You're surrounded." One of the guards smugly said.
"All I'm surrounded by is fear... and dead men." The Bladewolf said ominously, sending a shiver down even Felicia's spine at the dark tone in his words.
None of them moved for several seconds before one of the guards went to punch the armoured vigilante who caught the fist, twisted and used the guard as a shield as the others fired at him, only hitting their friend who was then tossed into three of the remaining thugs, allowing the Bladewolf to throw his knife into another, then tackle the other into the wall before headbutting him then bashed his head repeatedly off the wall before he used his foot to kick a gun into his hands and shot the remaining thugs down.
Felicia sighed. "Guess I should've expected him to use someone's gun. Oh well, long as he didn't hit the stuff, I'm not caring." That said, she stood and left the security office, a smile on her face, she was pleased with what she had seen.
George stepped over one of the corpses while looking around. The door swung open again and he turned to face the anticipated guards, but instead a black clad and silver haired cat burglar strode through. "And just where were you while I was busy taking care of the hard work?" George asked with a bit of annoyance. While he may prefer to work alone right now, if he was to ever have a partner, he expects them to pull their weight instead of hiding.
"Busy." Felicia smiled. "You don't look like the type who needs anyone helping him deal with a bunch of simple thugs. Now to what I've been looking forward to all night." With a devilish smirk she turned and walked out of the room, a sensual sway in her hips.
George watched her go before he shook his head and followed her. When he and Felicia entered the next room, George couldn't help but be impressed and whistle at the sight of the needlessly expensive and absurd looking 'art' on the walls.
George leaned against the wall, crossing his arms and watching as the Black Cat set to work on the various layers of security. The way she strutted about the space and bent over suggestively at each point didn't go unnoticed by the vigilante.
He just hoped that he hadn't gotten into bed with the wrong person.
With a rather satisfying click, the door to the vault unlocked and Felicia stepped back. "Impressive." Commented her companion as she threw another smirk his way.
The pair stepped into the vault and were greeted by a selection of items. Both of the thieves set about what looked most desirable to them. Felicia watched as the Bladewolf went over to an imposing looking set of servers that were only accessible via a laptop connected directly to them. He then got to work on downloading whatever information is on these servers.
Felicia approached, heels clicking as he turned to look at her, finishing what he was doing. "Well, this night wasn't as bad as I thought." George remarked "You know how to show a guy a good time."
The thief smiled casually, "You have no idea handsome." She purred happily as she set to work prioritizing what she would take with her. "Is it everything you expected?"
"I'll know that once I've gone through all the data I took off these servers." He answered as he turned and began walking away. "It's been a pleasure, Black Cat."
Felicia watched him go with a smirk. "Pleasure's been all mine, handsome~"
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
