A week has passed since I last went to Lowee or heard any major news from it. My thoughts have been filled with concern for things related to what happened with the new CPUs of Lowee, and what Kyo had said. I planned to contact Sen today to talk about it, we're hiding it under the guise of a quest for the guild that I had IF set up for us. The quest is to find a lost item that we were given already before we even started.
I met up with Sen and we headed out to where the quest was located, the caves between Lastation and Planeptune. We looked around to see if anyone had followed us here. When we saw nobody was there with us, we began to talk.
"You were worried about what Kyo said too?" Sen asked, she seemed to be able to see through me, maybe because she was also worried.
"I am. There's a chance that someone gave her a crystal, or rather forced one on her, and it activated when we gave her Shares to heal her. I heard the voice and I felt something inside me want to attack her, if I couldn't control myself then I think that I would have attacked Kyo then and there," I say, feeling my hands shake at the memory.
"I know what you mean, I still remember that voice. It felt evil, my body felt like it needed to destroy it before it got worse..."
"So it seems I was right, we did have the same thought about the voice."
"Yeah... the only thing I can think of to deal with it is you do what you did to me, but I don't think that you attacking a new CPU unprovoked would go over well with anyone, especially in a form that supposedly nobody has seen before. It's like going up to someone and going 'You're possessed- let me, someone with seemingly no knowledge on it, deal with it for you', imagine how crazy you would sound," Sen joked.
"I'm not sure what else to do other than that, but it wo-" I hear something and summon my weapon.
A voice calls out, "'Let your desire run wild, let it consume your body, let it consume your mind.' These are the words it spoke to you, did it not?"
"Who's there?!" Sen looks around, her weapon out.
"I am neither friend nor foe, simply someone who wishes to stop something from happening," the voice calls, the more it speaks the more familiar it sounds, but I can't quite place it. "The one you speak of has had a crystal forced upon her, acting as a parasite that wishes to consume her. The crystal you have acts as a symbiote, it takes and it gives as you do from it."
I was somewhat shocked that someone could know about the crystal I have, "Who are you? Are you the woman who gave me my crystal?!" I look around looking for her.
"I am," she calls out, still not showing herself.
"How can we help her? We don't want her to end up like me," Sen calls out, she is still looking around for the woman.
"There is only one way that is available to you, and that's to destroy the crystal with another crystal's power, and that would be yours, Inheritor."
"'Inheritor'? What does that mean?" I ask, feeling the crystal inside me resonate with her words, feeling like it wants me to use it again. "And is attacking her the only way to help her?"
"You are the Inheritor because you are the Inheritor, nothing more, nothing less. As for helping your friend, your ability to help them is limited by your ability to help yourselves."
"What do you mean 'help yourselves'? Why don't you come and show yourself already!" Sen tries to attack where the voice was coming from with a sword wave, only for it to come back at her and she barely manages to dodge it. "Agh, what was that?"
"Sen, are you alright?" I run to her while looking around for the woman.
"You should know it takes more than that to take me down, but that wasn't what I expected to happen. Did she just throw my attack back at me somehow?" She gets up and looks around. "Hey lady! Did I get that right or are you just going to say something cryptic again!?" She shouts and her voice echoes, yet no response follows.
The crystal inside of me begins to calm, the woman is no longer there. Sen dismisses her weapon as do I.
"Well, we know what we have to do, even though I don't like it," Sen's voice shows her disappointment with her own statement.
"Yeah..."
We returned to our respective nations, about two hours after we had left to start the quest. Because the quest was just a front for Sen and me to meet in secret, we were just given a small money reward, which was just money we had already that we gave to IF to give to us as a reward.
That night, I had trouble sleeping so I started to walk around the Basilicom. It feels like I started to do it more and more. Some nights, it feels like I was searching for something, but I never knew what I was searching for. Maybe I was looking for an answer to what to do next, but that's a question that most people don't know how to answer themselves. Maybe the answer I was looking for was to the questions I have for that woman, or maybe the answer to the meaning of all of this. The answer to why, after all these years, do things start happening and why do they revolve around me? It just feels like I have too many questions without answers.
I begin to hear a voice in my head as I walked around, but I couldn't understand it's words. The voice eventually stopped and for some reason I started to feel exhausted afterwards, so I headed back to my room for the night.
I was having a pleasant dream, a dream to a happier time where my main worry was trying to keep Histoire from yelling at Neptune. A time where I could play games with friends without a worry in the world.
That dream was shattered when I heard Histoire rushing into the room.
"Nepgear, I need you up, this is urgent."
"Huh... what is it?" I say, still half asleep.
"Lowee has declared a state of emergency due to civil unrest, Mina is trying to stop the damage from spiraling into a civil war."
"Wait, how did this happen?!"
"Kyo went missing, and supposedly a mysterious goddess is going around causing destruction wherever she goes."
"What about Kokono, and do we know how this happened?"
"Kokono is still at the Basilicom, although it seems that, according to the report I recieved, she has entered a state of breaking down mentally and seems to be in pain despite no physical injuries. As for how it happened, we aren't sure, we were hoping that the voice you and Sen heard might be the key so we need to know what it said."
"I..." I felt the crystal inside me resonate with something, as if was being called by something. "I don't remember exactly what it said," I feel bad for lying to Histoire, but I don't want her to learn about the crystal I use being the same kind that caused K-Sha to lose herself. "I remember that it was something evil directed at someone, and I think that it was directed towards Kyo." My chest feels like it's going to burst with how hard the crystal is pulsing, I feel my breathing start to get heavy but I try to hide it as best I could.
"Hmm, perhaps Kyo is being controlled by some malicious force, but the only time she could have been inflicted with it was the small time she tried to run away during our visit. Who could have the ability to create such a potent means of control in such a short time unless it was prepared beforehand, and how could they know about her if it was prepared before? And-" Histoire notices my breathing is irregular and I try to hide it more but trying to hide it just makes it feel worse. "Nepgear, are you feeling alright? You aren't breathing normally."
"I... fine..." The crystal wants me to use it, but I can't use it now or Histoire will learn about it. I feel a sense of dread run over me as I hear a loud sound in the distance. "What was that?!"
"What was what Nepgear? Are you sure you are feeling well?" Histoire floats around me to try to see any immediate problems, but I just run past her and head to the front of the Basilicom and I look out from a window.
Nearby, there was a large pillar of smoke, following it to it's source I saw several buildings that were nothing but smoking rubble now, and surrounding them were other buildings that were burning, likely from being just outside the range of whatever destroyed the buildings.
Histoire catches up to me, "Nepgear what are you do-" She sees the smoke pillar. "Oh no... What happened there..."
"I'm not sure, I'll go check it out," I open the window and jump out it, transforming as I fall and I start flying towards the smoke pillar, hoping that whatever caused it isn't what I was thinking it was.
When I arrived, I saw there was a figure floating in the sky, they were laughing. Before I could properly see what they looked like, they began to cast a spell and I flew as fast I could to stop it. I barely was able to cut through their spell after they fired it, but that was enough for me to see who they are and I could feel my heart sink. The figure had flaming red hair, their outfit was also the same flaming red, their eyes were different colors - one eye was as dead as black could get, the other was red and proved my fears true, for it possessed the symbol of a CPU in it.
"Kyo!" I shout out to her.
Kyo looked at me, her eyes filled with disgust, "Oh look who it is, a grown up that doesn't let me have fun. I just wanted to have fun, but all you grown ups kept telling me no and that I didn't know how to control my powers, but if I didn't know how to control my powers then how come I can do this!" She starts flying at me with incredible speed, I barely have enough time to block whatever she tries but she flies behind me and casts an explosive spell at point blank.
I manage to straighten myself out after the explosion and I turn to Kyo, who just floats there, laughing. "Ha ha ha! Destroying what gets in my way is a lot more fun than just doing that boring work that you adults do, and it solves my problems more directly than having to wait for others to solve it for me." She flies over to me quickly to whisper in my ear, "so here's a game for you boring adults, I'm going to deal with 3 of the people who were there when we last met, but you need to figure out what order I'm going to them. I'll give you until the sun sets, that should be enough time for this game, by then I'll be bored enough to stop waiting." I try to swing at her, but she's already flying off before I could even turn around.
She was taunting us, she didn't know what she was doing was wrong. She was destroying things just because she thinks it's fun to destroy. She doesn't know that her doing this is causing her home to break in two.
I flew back to the Basilicom to tell Histoire about what happened.
"So... it seems that she is being controlled by something after all..." Histoire seems saddened by her prediction being right, although I don't blame her given the context.
"She also seems really powerful, I know that Mina said that she was learning things really fast but I didn't think that she would grow this much in power in such a short amount of time.'
"Her current mental state might explain Kokono's mental state, but it doesn't explain things like why she suddenly decided to start doing this."
"Oh right, we should tell those who were at the Lowee Basilicom last week to be prepared for anything. She called it a game, but it sounded closer to a death threat."
"Hmm, it could be anyone that she remembers being there, and from the sounds of it she intends to make us guess who she is going to go after first, get enjoyment out of our panic presumably."
"We should probably get Sen and then head over to the Lowee Basilicom to try and figure out either where she is or come up with a plan to stop her."
"Did she give a time limit for her guessing game?"
"Sunset is when she said she would start, so we have about 10 hours left since it's still relatively early."
After three hours of preperations and arriving at the Lowee Basilicom, we now have roughly 7 hours left.
Sen and I both are ready to deal with Kyo if need be, but we can't exactly do anything right now since we technically are currently over for political reasons and if we transform to fight we would be overstepping our bounds and would cause the side of Lowee against CPUs to see it as an act of the other nations trying to intervene with Lowee against it's will. Most of the time we have been in Lowee has been us sitting in the Basilicom unable to do things because we were unable to search for Kyo at the current point.
"Ugh, I understand why we can't do anything, but why couldn't we wait until we could do things to come over?" Sen groans, she's been pacing around the past few minutes, although she's been going between pacing and sitting down since we were told we can't do anything yet.
"It's because if we're all here then even if she breaks her word we'll all be here to mitigate damage to our own nations as well as potentially to Lowee itself," I go back to reading the book in my hands, even though I haven't been able to get past the second page with how anxious I've been, but a line in the book gave me some relief, 'Hope will arrive when it's needed.'
Kokono has been out cold in her room since we arrived, I occasionally check in on her but nothing changes besides her groaning in pain when I sometimes check on her.
Histoire has been with Mina trying to talk out Sen and myself being able to defend Lowee in case they are attacked. C-Sha has been acting as a mediator, as she was able to calmly talk with both sides without making things worse.
I began to hear a beeping, as if it was coming from the device the Gold Third use to try and find any CPUs outside of the Basilicom. I also started to hear a voice in my head, it was warning me of something. I also felt the crystal inside me begin to respond to something. All of these have just been making me paranoid, because this feeling means that the woman is nearby or Kyo is nearby, but chances are it's Kyo who is nearby.
"Nepgear, are you ok? You're acting a bit weird looking around like that..." Sen is worried about how I'm acting, but her voice barely registered for me.
"She's nearby..."
"Who is?"
"The crystal inside me is responding to something, I had this feeling when the woman talked to us, but I also had this feeling when Kyo attacked Planeptune. But I can hear C-Sha's device from here, so I think that means a CPU is nearby that wasn't here already..."
"Wait, how can you hear it, C-Sha took that with her and she's a several floors below us."
"I'm not sure, whenever I feel the crystal inside me pulsing, my senses just feel heightened like it's wanting me to find the thing that it's resonating with."
"Then where is it coming from?"
I close my eyes and try to block out the beeping. Then I hear something. It sounds like laughing and behind the laughter I hear someone speak, "I~ found~ you~". The voice didn't belong to Kyo, it belonged to someone else, it sounded playful yet it felt like it had malicious intent behind it. I felt a rush of dread run over me as I fell backwards. There was something about that voice that made it feel like it was looking for me.
"Nepgear, are you ok? You suddenly fell out of nowhere and it worried me." Sen was already next to me trying to help me up before I even realized fully she was there.
"They're above us... both of them... are waiting..." I manage to say, my breath feeling heavy once more.
"Kyo is above us? Is she with that woman?"
"No, it was... someone who seemed like they had... intent to do bad things," I try to form the words as I speak.
"That doesn't sound good, and neither does the way you are acting, here," Sen lifts me up and carries me to a seat to rest in. "There you go, now try to catch your breath and try to explain what you either saw or heard."
I take deep breaths for a few moments and try to clear my mind again, but the pulsing of the crystal made me feel like I was in danger still. After catching my breath I try to explain again, "I heard two people, I heard Kyo laughing as well as someone else saying they found me."
"But why you specifically? Is it because of the crystal?"
"The only people who know of the crystal is you, that lady, and myself. So what do they want with me?"
"I would guess a stalker, but what kind of stalker would have this kind of power? The power to just make people do stuff like this, but..."
"I have a power similar to them, yet I'm fine, so what makes me different from them?"
"Not sure, maybe something like," she raises one hand to the air and places the other on her chest. "'A fair maiden with the purest of hearts,' or something like that." She laughs at her own joke.
"But... how can I be that with what I caused..."
"Nepgear, I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me that again." She made me look at her by holding my head between her hands.
"How can I be..."
"If you truly think this, then you would be able to tell me it to my face without hesitation."
"..."
"You are flawed, you are imperfect! Yet despite these flaws and imperfections, and despite time testing you over and over, you hold regrets for what happened over a decade ago. To what happened to your friends."
"How do you know about that?" I shake at her words, they're harsh but they're not wrong.
"Because of the way you used to treat me, you used to treat me like we were old friends despite us being complete strangers, like you couldn't let something go... I asked miss Kei about it and she told me the whole story. About the previous generation of CPUs, about the Deity of Sin, and... that sword..."
"..." I wanted to yell at her that it was wrong, that it was all wrong but I can't deny something that has impacted me this much.
"I know about what you, Histoire, and the other Oracles did. You created a cover story with them that they had fallen in the final battle, when in reality you were the one who killed them."
"Stop..." Her words pained me yet she kept going.
"You not only killed them, but you also took indirect control of their nations. If you wanted to you could have brought all of Gamindustri under a single, unified banner, yet here we are with four nations still."
"I did what I had to, there wasn't another way..."
She slapped me and then stood there in silence for about a minute, the slap didn't hurt much but it stung. What stung more were her words, "You put up an innocent act, you try to force yourself to believe it. If you were truly innocent, then you would be able to bring yourself to stop me from continuing, but you can't."
"HOW COULD YOU UNDERSTAND SOMETHING YOU WEREN'T ALIVE FOR!" I didn't realize I had raised my voice so much, but I didn't feel anger or sadness, I actually felt a little happy that I didn't have to lie to someone anymore. I felt like I could start crying, yet the tears wouldn't come.
Sen doesn't say anything, she just stands there with a smug smile on her face.
We both were silent for a minute and then Sen just asks with a joking tone, "No hard feelings right?"
"No, I am glad I don't have to hide something as big as that from someone anymore."
We passed the time until a maid came to tell us to come to the meeting room.
We rode the elevator down to the meeting room. Inside was Histoire, Mina, and C-Sha along with a woman in a suit and a tall, bulky robot that almost seemed like he was wearing knight armor. Upon closer inspection, the robot was actually a hologram, but he was still seated. Them turning to look at Sen and me was what made me realize that he was likely being projected for a call since he seems too large to fit inside.
The woman speaks, "So these are the two known Goddesses then? They don't seem like how I expected them to be."
The robot speaks after her, "The one from Planeptune seems to be the type to be quiet on the surface but secretly has a troubled past, while the one from Lastation seems to be the emotional tomboy type." I was kind of shocked that he could tell so much about us from just looking at us.
"Hey, who said I was emotional?" Sen remarks back, somewhat angrily.
"Nobody, but it seems my assumption about you was correct though," he laughs.
"Please keep things professional, this meeting has not yet been adjourned," the woman responds to his comment.
"Apologies, besides we should at least introduce ourselves. I am Affimojas, I am an information broker and a backer of many things across all of Gamindustri," the robot bows, his head going out of view of his projection, then back in for when he sits back down.
The woman remains seated as she introduces herself, "You may call me Six. I am the representative who was sent from RAGM, that is all you need to know about me."
The woman seems to be more suspicious to me than the large robot who isn't even in the room with us.
"As you may already know, I am the Goddess Nepgear, CPU of Planeptune," I introduce myself, hiding my suspicions for now.
Sen looks over at me then introduces herself, "I'm the Goddess Sen, CPU of Lastation."
"Ha ha, now that introductions are over with, take a seat and we can continue this meeting," Affimojas laughed as he gestured to us to take a seat.
We did so and a projected screen came up from the table. It showed several locations that were recently destroyed, including the spot in Planeptune as well as a location in Lastation that I didn't know about.
"To restate my position for those new to the room, I am acting mediator so I shall be explaining the details," C-Sha stands up and gestures and an image from the screen goes behind her and expands. "There has been sightings of what's assumed to be a rogue CPU that's been destroying things. This destruction isn't limited to just one nation," she gestures again and two more images fly to her, this time the one from Planeptune and the one from Lastation. "This is an issue that goes across both of Lowee's borders. If this was something that was simply within Lowee's borders then it wouldn't be much of an issue, however there's been destruction in both Planeptune and Lastation, likely as a means of provoking action."
"Wait, when did the Lastation one happen?" Sen tries to keep her emotions in check.
"It happened during the meeting, we only became aware of it after being called by Kei during the meeting that a similar occurrence happened," C-Sha explains. "However... the destruction was a lot more costly than what it was due to it taking out large section industry, namely it took out a factory that used to produce weapons, but it swapped to producing appliances used in everyday use before it's destruction."
"That was a factory that I had helped to get funded in case of war time 8 years ago, the weapons it produced only were used once, and it was during the insurrectionist movement in Lastation, unfortunately the weapons were used by the insurrectionists instead of to stop them," Affimojas explains. "After that, it swapped off of weapon production in case something like that happened again."
"And then we have the destruction in Planeptune, which was a residential area as opposed to an industrial area," C-Sha enlarges the remains of Kyo's attack on Planeptune.
Histoire follows this, "Despite the large damage caused, only 2 people lost their lives, everyone else was injured or weren't present when the destruction was caused as it is a work day for many, some a lot more than worse and our medical wards have been trying to help those who were injured while our Guild has been trying to find some temporary residency for those who lost their homes."
"Besides raising questions about your labor laws, which would derail this conversation, it seems that Planeptune responded to an issue immediately, even if it doesn't profit from it," Six responds, she seems to be trying to find cracks in what we say.
"While we do not have financial backing, we do have the support of the Planeptune branch of the Gold Third, which has worked together with us to provide funds to many projects as well as helping the economy get back to what it once was," Histoire responds to Six's suspicions. "Affimojas has also provided financial support for projects in the past."
"I invest into any projects that interest me, Planeptune has some of the wildest ideas yet those are the ones that are the most interesting," he laughs. "A nation that had it's economy far into the red come back through things that many would consider financial suicide is something that would normally make one question it's leadership, but seeing it's leaders myself I can tell it's in good hands. However, this doesn't mean I shall offer my full coffers to the CPUs, I will remain neutral unless there comes a threat to all of Gamindustri or a threat to my business."
"Thank you for sharing your stance Affimojas. Now back to the topic at hand," C-Sha gestures and another image flies behind her, this time it has a small figure out of focus in an image, the figure is floating in the sky, smoke to it's side. "This figure, or at least one like it, was reportedly seen at every site of destruction. Nepgear was supposedly seen near this figure after it attacked Planeptune. Can you confirm this Nepgear?"
"I can," I stand up to explain what happened. "I attempted to engage with them after I saw them, however they were too fast for me to engage on my own. They gave me a warning, that they would target those who were at the Basilicom a week ago as part of a game. They also said that we had until sunset before they would start their game." I hid the fact that we know that this mysterious figure is actually Kyo because we don't know what fully is going on with her.
"So this figure is fast and powerful and skilled in means of mass destruction, yet they seem to choose to target things that would cause the nation to be set back in some way. They are aware of how the nations are structured, as well as how to avoid detection normally, yet somehow Nepgear was the only one to catch them before they flew off and they revealed their plan to her. What reason do I have to believe that she is not secretly working with this mysterious person?"
"I was with Nepgear when she flew off to where we saw smoke in the distance. She had been feeling unwell up until that point and it seemed like she heard the explosion when it happened and ran towards it, which is when we both saw the smoke and she jumped out the window to fly towards it," Histoire explains the events as she remembers them.
"How convenient that she suddenly just 'heard' the explosion when you didn't Histoire. Has she displayed any other odd behavior recently?"
"Odd behavior? That was the first time she was like that that I had seen and between the visit to Lowee last week and now, she's only left the Planeptune Basilicom three times. One was to go on a quest with Sen at the Planeptune-Lastation border, this was the only time I was not with her when she left as she had already done the paperwork for the quest herself through the Guild. Another was to investigate the smoke, which I saw her leave. The third was to come here. She has not left the Basilicom otherwise to my knowledge."
"I only left it once more, but I after I got back I made proper documentation of what I did. I had just left to go walk around when I couldn't sleep, I had met with Compa and we had a talk after not talking for so long, then I went back to the Basilicom, wrote down what I did, then went to sleep," I explain the events.
"Is that what that stack of notebooks next to your bed is then Nepgear?" Histoire asks.
"It is, it contains all the times I have left the Basilicom and what I did when I left, as well as information on what I did even at the Basilicom, starting from when you told me to start keeping a diary."
"So these notebooks contain information of what you did every day, is this correct?" Six questions me.
"That is correct," I try to remain professional, but she found a weak point she can exploit, even if it's not a helpful one.
"Do you have the notebook containing the relevant information on hand by chance?"
"No I do not."
"Is there someone at the Basilicom who would be able to show it to us?"
"IF."
"You mean the Maker? Surprised to see that a Maker has any good relations to a CPU." Six seems somewhat caught off gaurd by this.
"She was at the Basilicom before we left, she visits for work related to the Guild. She should still be there, we could call her."
"If you would," Six gestures for us to call her and Histoire tries to call her.
IF picks up but there's no image, "Hey Histy, not a good time, a horde Dogoos got into the city and we're tr- hey get OFF!" The sound of a Dogoo dying could be heard. "We're trying to round them up in a park to minimize the damage caused to property and we're almost done call back in 5 and I sh- Hey, stop the strays from escaping!" IF hangs up.
"How convenient that a horde of weak monsters like that would attack right when we had asked for evidence to prove your innocence," Six tries to break my reasoning.
"Miss Six, you should know that this is something that happens every few months, especially if you've kept as close an eye on each nation as you have," Histoire mentions.
"That is true. Very well, I shall wait for this evidence patiently."
Roughly five minutes pass and we call IF back, this time she appears on a projection that Histoire creates.
"Hey Histy, what is it that you needed again?"
"We're in a meeting right now and they're questioning what Nepgear had been doing the past week, she mentioned keeping a diary of the things she does every day and we were needing you to show the pages for roughly the last week," Histoire explained.
"Sure, as long as Nepgear is alright with it. Even in formal stuff like that it feels rude to open someone's diary without their permission."
"I am fine with it," I speak up so IF can hear me.
"Oh, hey, didn't know you were there too, I can only see Histoire right now. Alright then, anything I should look for in it in specific or just go from the back and find the furthest page that's been written in?"
"I left a bookmark for yesterday's entry, I haven't written today's yet, so you should just be able to find the one with a bookmark in it and the dates should be for yesterday and back."
"Alright, I'll send them as soon as I get there," IF hangs up and the projection she was on vanishes.
"To think we're having to waste time while we're on a time limit like this," Six is starting to become impatient.
"Now now, even someone like you strict business types should know that in cases like this things aren't always present and need to be delivered to be presented," Affimojas jokes.
"Very well, but know that my patience with this meeting is being tested."
A few more minutes of waiting and Histoire begins to vibrate, she places her hand on the table and several images pop up containing pages from the diary I keep. All the information on the pages lined up with what I had said except for the events during the quest with Sen. I described the events where we had met up and then searched the area for what we were looking for, a traveler came by, they decided to help us and tell us a story, they had asked us to each share a story in exchange which we did- Mine was about a food they hadn't tasted yet, I did not mention in my diary what it was, and Sen's was about her first trip to Lowee- we found what we were looking for and then the traveler left.
"So, you met someone during your quest on the border that neither of you knew, yet they helped you in your quest? Why would someone just decide to help you in exchange for... simple tales?" Six seems almost flabbergasted at what she read.
"Their clothes made it seem like they weren't from Gamindustri, so they're probably on a journey from a nation outside of Gamindustri. We didn't look too far into them, but their story was about a distant land across the waters where they didn't believe in CPUs," Sen made up on the spot, she must have looked into PC Continent on her own time.
I go along with the story, "they seemed to want to see what it was like in a land with a different form of faith from where they were from."
"Hm, a traveler from PC Continent? Not unheard of, but considering they were in awe of your simple tales, it would seem this is the case," Six seems to have bought our tale that we just made up on the spot. "I apologize for doubting your intentions for now, it would seem that your involvement is as you say."
C-Sha sighs and taps the table which causes all the projections to be recalled, "Now that we are done with that distraction, may we proceed with what we called these two in here for?"
"I apologize, I stepped out of line, we may proceed," Six bows in apology.
"Very well, we called the CPUs in here so they may be present for our vote. The vote is whether they would be allowed to intervene in Lowee lands to stop the mysterious figure that's been causing damages across three nations without provoking action from RAGM or from other parties within Lowee that don't align with the Basilicom," C-Sha explains then types something on the table which causes screens project in front of everyone but Sen and myself. Histoire, Mina, and C-Sha all immediately press a button which causes their screen to go away.
"As this is something that could eventually affect my business, I shall allow it," Affimojas presses a button and it dismisses his screen.
"As at least one of them has proven their good character, I shall allow it as well. Our goals somewhat align here, it would be in my best interest to have a CPU take down what's potentially a rogue CPU of unknown origins," Six presses a button and her screen vanishes.
After a few seconds, a screen appears in the middle of the table showing the results of what seems like a poll. It read 'Until the mysterious being is dealt with, CPUs of other nations are allowed to intervene within Lowee.'
"Well, there you have it," C-Sha dismisses the screen, the results having been seen. "You two are allowed to help here without other groups getting involved."
"Alright, so all we have to do is wait," Sen stretches after sitting for so long.
In Gamindustri Graveyard, a cloaked figure speaks, "So they decided to act without the boss's permission."
"Yes, they also are revealing themself. Their childish nature is going to get them killed," another figure speaks.
"Despite that, they possesseth great cunning and manipulation. They gave a distraction to these false eikons and planted the seed of chaos in the only land without an eikon and already isolated the island on which it stands. The seed planted shall grow slow, yet should it grow it shall be great," a third figure speaks.
"Eikon? I knew you were old fashioned but wow that's a new one for me. Just call them gods. Then again, they're different from the gods I'm used to," the first figure speaks.
"The seeds of chaos can lead to the flower of hope blooming," a forth figure comes out of a portal.
"Hey boss, you came to watch how things would go?"
"No, I came because I sensed a distortion. Something big is going to happen soon, and it's not the young one's childish plan. Something bigger looms over this world, something out of our control."
[TMK: I uhh... wanted this to be a two part chapter, but this ended up in being 3 parts. Because of how long this chapter was getting while writing, I ended up splitting it into 3 parts, I might just wait for comments to continue answering questions instead of assuming questions because I feel like that gives away things and makes it a bit too constricting since me saying it as an author can make it harder to retcon things. But after about half a year, here's the rest of Lowee arc. Next chapter should go up a few minutes after this one.]
