I was looking at a picture and to my surprise

The man within it was staring back with big eyes

Of a handsome dark brown shade of some kind

That allowed me to peer inside his mind

And I felt his determination and uncertainty

To solve a puzzle of great complexity

I suppose he could have been thinking several things

Maybe of his incredible onyx ring

One of his eyebrows were raised above the other

And the straight-faced confusion upon his face made me shutter

Maybe he was trying to figure out the Horseman mystery

Or maybe he thought at the time it was quite silly

His gothic black coat made me think further into him

As I asked, "What could he be feeling within"

The trench was outlined by a stripe of white

And the buttons were as dark as night

He, however, wasn't yet complete

Without his lips so incredibly sweet

Oh yes, his admirable puckering lips

Which were amazingly and marvelously crisp

They looked as if he were saying to me

"Would you like a kiss, or two, or three"

With messy dark brown hair, and whitish skin

I wanted to know what he felt within

I wrote this while looking at a picture of Ichabod Crane. He had a pretty blank expression on his face, so I couldn't go too deep into emotion. Perhaps next time I'll use one where he's scared. Hmmm…
