Marlin puts away thoughts of romance for a bit, and takes a walk by the river. He is a fish out of water, all over again, even if his asthma doesn't affect him much. He doesn't want to think about it, though, and Celia saves him, joining him by the shore. She talks about things and he nods in idle agreement. She asks if he likes her. He nods without thinking, before blushing and shrugging.

She kisses him – he kisses back. And Vesta smirks from the farm, having known their happy ending would come all along – even if they hadn't.
