Chapter 38 Kindness

After the war Kazuma took charge of Gi merging it with his own faction, making his land even bigger, Kazuma made sure that the entire place will be safe for later.

He was now walking down the halls before he looks at the garden to see Karin.

"Well..." He goes up to her.

She looks at him. "Well hello Kazuma."

"It seems you are enjoying the place?" He said.

"Yes, it's very nice." She said.

"Thanks, Ruby makes it good since my mom goes here a lot." Kazuma said.

They saw Ai sitting on a bench looking at the pond.

"So that is your mother?" Karin looks at her.

"Yeah, I was surprised to see my actual mother was alive." He said.

"Was the other ones bad?" She asked.

"I thought I knew them, but they went against my actual parents and took us all away, they might have some decent parts but that is something I can't forgive since I couldn't even meet my real father since he passed away before mom could find me and my brother." Kazuma said.

Kari frowns since she cares about her mother too.

"Also i'm still surprised you respect me." Kazuma said.

She smirks. "Let's say while I don't like men that much, I can respect one that has honor."

"I see." He said. "So what are your cousins doing?"

"Those three are doing they're best, they're just happy enough not being some normal soldiers." She said.

Kazuma then leans back as a rock passes by, they looked and saw Keifa hidding behind some bushes as she was holding a slingshot.

"Keifa!" She chases after her.

"I'm sorry lady Karin!" She was scared.

Kazuma sighs seeing that, ever since they joined Keifa got extremly jealous of Kazuma being close to Karin as they talk together a lot.

Kazuma walks out and Shoto came. "Did she do it again?"

"Yes, but I won't let it get to me." Kazuma said.

Later

Kazuma was sitting on a rooftop at the city to get some peace while looking at the people doing they're normal lives.

"It's nice just to watch." He said.

He then noticed Keifa doing a lecture to elderly people helping them.

"Okay now let's go back to where we were before." She said pointing at a blackboard.

Kazuma raises an eyebrow and chuckles. "Well... Looks like despite being mean she still has a soft spot."

He watches her from a distance to learn more about her, since this could give him a insight on Keifa.

Keifa goes out to a forest and she makes a big hole before grinning.

"With this i'll get him." She throws many bugs, reptiles and other nasty creatures in there.

"Once he falls down, he'll be covered up by them and suffers." She said.

She hated Kazuma for a long time, when she first saw him at the meeting she couldn't believe he was the messenger of Heaven, then he started talking to Karin as she got interested in his ways of leading his kingdom.

"I'll make him pay for what he did." She said.

She then noticed clouds starting to come and she got confused. "Is it going to rain? Maybe I misjudge the weather. Well I better go."

She goes foward but then she trips on a rock making her lose her balance, lightning strikes scaring her as rain comes down.

She falls back at her hole and she grabs on the edge of it, many of the creatures jumped to her as she screams.

"No get away!" She yelled.

She then noticed the hole was filling with water making her scared. "Why did I had to make it so deep!"

She looks up and she was losing her grip.

"Help! Lady Karin! Please! Anybody help me!" She screams in fear as tears came down from her eyes.

She lost her strenght as she falls but a hand catches her arm.

"Lady Karin?" She looks up but got stunned.

She saw Kazuma holding her instead.

"You!" She said.

"Well good thing I came." He said.

"What are you doing here?!"

"I came to see where were you since your out in a storm." He said.

"Oh yeah, well don't think your getting any thanks." She smirks. "I can just make another one."

"Yeah right." He pulls her up and she lands on his chest as Kazuma holds her.

Keifa was surprised at the act he's doing to her, she's been trying to harm him all this time, but he showed her kindness instead.

He carries her back to the palace and he places her back to her room, she was now wearing a robe to get her out of the wet clothes and she looks away as Kazuma stares at her.

"So will you be alright?" He asked.

"Yes." She nodded.

Karin came in. "So you almost got yourself killed for trying to put Kazuma into a trap."

"Well..." Keifa got nervous.

"How stupid can you be?!" Karin yells at her making Keifa flinch. "If you died what would have happened to all of us!"

"I'm so sorry!" Keifa cries.

"Karin, it's okay, i'm not mad at her, I just wish that she be careful." Kazuma said.

Karin then thinks of something and smirks. "Okay... Lord Kazuma."

He has a bad feeling to what she's thinking.

"Since Keifa needs to be punished and you must show you have the authority to make the others respect you... Do it with her." Karin points at Keifa.

"What?!" The two got shocked.

"But lady Karin!" Keifa said.

"If I do it, you would like it, so let's have lord Kazuma do it, I won't speak to you until you do it. Also Kazuma call her Keifa." Karin leaves and closes the door.

Keifa was blushes hard and looks at Kazuma who was facepalming. "I will never submit to you! Ever!"

He goes up to her face surprising her as he gives her a kiss. "Does that help with something?"

She stares at him before she jumps him surprising Kazuma.

Karin watches them from a gap.

"Well look at that... But she's lucky." She walks away with a frown.

She has found Kazuma to be very interesting and wonders more about him later on.

Next day

Keifa wakes up and she saw she was covered by the cover as she has a arm around her.

She blushes hard and looks back to see Kazuma sleeping as he holds her.

"Why did I have to be like this?" She said.

She hates men, but... It felt nice with him.

"I'll let him sleep for a bit." She goes back to sleep too.

She didn't know why, but he's so different compared to others.

Note: Keifa got her own chapter and she's starting to like Kazuma a bit, like the reason is that Kazuma is more mature compared to like Kazuto from the VNs, nothing against him Kazuto is just more carefree and perverted compared to Kazuma, who's more mature and straight foward, he's there to be a example since he had to raise his little brother all alone and they had a bad life before, so the difference between him and Kazuto are big which makes others react differently, now to a guest: "Ryofu or Ren as she is also known can be in the harem, as for the other stuff no spoilers."
