A few months had gone by since Happy and Toby had joined the cyclone. Things have been even more successful for Scorpion, so much so that Walter changed the name from Scorpion Computer Services to Scorpion Security Services. Everyone had something to do Walter and Ralph would make, setup and monitor everything on the computer aspect. Sly could calculate the best angles for the cameras to eliminate all the blindspots, Happy dealt with all the hardware ie mounting cameras, placing microphones, etc. Megan was able to explain the practical reasons for what they setup, Paige was able to sweet talk the clients into getting the best system the clients needed. Abigail was able to help because she go all around to show where and what kids could get into while left alone which helped Sly and Happy with the physical setting up of equipment. Toby was able to train and show the day to day personnel in what to look for and where to focus their energy to. Scorpion was so successful that Walter had bought a house for him, Paige and the 2 kids with the possibility of another little one. Sly and Megan had moved into a nice condo, Happy had found a place that had a 2 bay garage with living quarters above. Since Walter had a house Toby has moved into the loft.
A month earlier everyone was at the beach having a good time getting some sun, swimming, having a picnic and watching the boats speed by. Suddenly everyone heard a blood curtilling scream, they looked over and saw Abigail drop where she was standing. Walter was the farthest away from her but he had ran so fast that he was the first one to get to her. As he picked her up to carry her up to some solid, dry land he could already see so much blood.
As Paige was calling 911 the rest of the cyclone stood around wondering what happened and worried about what was going on, there was a gentleman with a hat who ran up and pushed his way to the bench with Abigail laying on. "GET OUT OF THE WAY! I'M A DOCTOR! WHO CAN TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED TO HER AND WHO YOU ALL ARE?" Yelled the man.
Walter said "I'm her father and she was standing by the shore when she screamed and fell down!"
"Well Dad. My name is Curtis and unless you don't want to scare future potential boyfriends, I'm going to need everyone here to listen to me and not ask questions." Replied Toby with a smirk.
The next few seconds saw the entire cyclone running in different directions to get normal everyday items and when the got back Toby used everything to remove the rock that had been shot out from the back of a jet ski. Toby had been able to stop the bleeding by the time ems arrived and him and Walter got in the back to head to the hospital while everyone else rushed to get the area cleaned up so they could follow along.
A couple of hours later a doctor came out and called for the O'Brien family and everybody rushed around him. The doctor said "The surgery was a success. The rock had entered just between two of Abigail's ribs and luckily missed any of her organs, unfortunately it did nick a major artery which was the cause for the amount of blood. I have no doubt in my mind that if Dr. Curtis was not there at that time that Abigail would not have survived by the time ems had arrived. So she is in post op now until she comes to from the anesthesia,then she will be moved to a regular room. As long as know infection happens she could be released the day after tomorrow. In a few minutes a nurse will be down to take mom and dad to see her." Walter replied with a huge sigh "Thank you Dr for all that you have done." While he shook the doctors hand.
As the doctor left Paige walked over to Toby and gave him a hug and whispered thank you to him. After Paige stepped back Walter held out his hand to shake Toby's hand and pulled him into a hug and with tears in his eyes said"Thank you for saving my daughter's life."
Two days later Walter, Paige, Ralph and Abigail entered the garage to see a small welcome home party had been set up. Abigail slowly walked over and gave a long hug to her guardian angel and newest member of Scorpion, Dr Tobias Curtis.
Margaret Gautier I definitely agree with you I wished we could have seen a well Megan in the show. I thought she was under used and it would have been nice to she her dynamic with the team more. I get why they had her pass so it could show how Walter struggled with the emotions and show him evolving.
Railman I haven't figured out if I want to add MS into this story yet because in the show it was used as a way to help bring out emotions in Walter I feel and in this story I have kinda used Abigail to do that so I'm still flip floping on that. With Mark I'm up in the air on him it seemed like his character was one of the easier characters for everyone to hate myself included and with the way I'm reintroducing everyone I'm struggling with changing his background and making him likable or keeping it closer to the show and making him a thorn in the side of Scorpion.
LouBe In the show we really only saw the assumptions between ladies over Walter as both women being interested in Walter Paige/ Linda and Paige/ Simone Taylor. I wanted to try the sister being protective and who is this random woman I've never heard of asking for the man I love.
