Chapter 1
Kagome awoke with a sudden boom of thunder. The lightning strikes in the sky were almost as frightening as the dream she had just had. The rain poured down outside like blood gushing from an open wound. It wouldn't stop and Kagome shivered with the cold sweat that ran down her back. She snuggled closer to Inuyasha who grunted when she disturbed him of his sleep. Disturbed and shaken, Kagome lay back down and tried to get some sleep. Kagome had just drifted off when she heard a bone chilling screech. She gasped in horror and ran to the window to peak out. What she saw made her blood freeze in her veins. Her heart thumped louder and louder and she began to shake. Trembling, she broke out into a cold sweat. She recognized this demon and his bone chilling screech. It was the demon from her dream. Her dream was coming true! Inuyasha! Inuyasha! She shouted but he wouldn't wake up.

Chapter 2
Kagome knew what the demon wanted. It was in her dream. The demon knew what he wanted too and he had come to retrieve it. Kagome tried once more to awaken Inuyasha. Inuyasha! Inuyasha! She screamed, but it was pointless. It was extremely hard to awaken Inuyasha from a deep sleep and now was not a good time. Kagome didn't know what to do. All she could think of were her friends. Sango and Miroku. Inuyasha was a good friend. He was her best friend, but it was no use in even trying to get him awake. She fought the thoughts in her mind of what had happened in her dream. She knew it was ahead just lurking around the corner waiting for her. Kagome's thoughts were all jumbled up in her mind. She knew what was ahead for Sango. As she stood frozen in horror trying to think of what to do, she could only think of her only friend in these woods. Sango. What could she ever do to save her? Kagome looked out the window once more and she noticed the demon coming for the shack. No! No! cried Kagome. Kagome no longer had control over her legs and feet. They started running and running and she couldn't make them stop. Her legs took her deep into the woods and through the vines hanging down in her path. She tore through the bushes and ran to Caede's hut where Sango and Miroku were staying. She ran into Sango's room and awoke her quickly by shaking her. Sango awoke frightened and confused. What's going on she asked in an exhausted voice. Come on! Get up! You've got to go! You have to run! You can't stop! You've got to rum until your legs fall off Sango! You must escape the demon! He is coming for you! What? Asks Sango. Sango turns around and sees the demon running close behind them.
