Stefan wasted no time getting himself comfortable, and Rina took a particular liking to the said man. He's been at Caroline's for only about a week now and Rina has not moved from his side since. It's almost as if she's familiar with him.
Caroline's date was tomorrow, and she was nervous as hell. She should've learned to control her nervousness before the date itself, but she knew it would be in vain as soon as she would see him. She had no plans on rushing into anything or getting comfortable with somebody just yet, but a girl still has needs sometimes.
Stefan was outside walking to the mailbox for Caroline, he looked up and saw a lady across the street, she had long blonde hair and wore a fitted emerald dress, it seems as if she had just gotten back from shopping, men could be seen holding furniture and art pieces into the home behind her. Stefan heard the accent from where he was, how she was ordering the men and directing them to the house.
She caught a glimpse of Stefan, their eyes locking for a moment. He held the mail in one hand, and softly raised his other to wave at her, the woman seemed a bit surprised by the gesture, but nonetheless curtsied just a bit, nodding her head and giving him a dazzling smile before turning to walk away. Stefan kept the image in his head all day.
"I've never been here before."
"Why haven't you? It's one of the most infamous places around."
"I don't know... maybe because it's a cemetery!" Davina exclaimed.
Her and Kol have been on a total of four dates since the picnic, and he has surprised her every time. The adventures were different but had the one thing in common; they were all in Boston.
He first took her the Museum of Fine Arts, of course after renting the whole thing out for the day, for just them two. He set a dining table out in the middle of the coliseum, and they had a bunch of booze and pizza.
The second time was to a Boston Red Sox game- the irony. But he simply took her there to show off his baseball collecting game, and how easy it was for him, he of course- caught it and handed it to her, and if they didn't get kicked out once the security saw that it was Kol again, she would've thought that night was absolutely perfect.
And the third time, well he just showed her the architecture history of Boston, and took her to where the Boston Tea Party first occurred, it was.. interesting.
But now, they were at a cemetery, full of dead witches.
"So why are we here again? You're not gonna kill me and dump my body right?" She asked, half teasing.
"How low you think of me sweetheart?" He faked gasped. She couldn't help but giggle.
"I thought after our second event together, you should figure I'm more serious for you" he uttered, getting out the car and opening her passenger door.
"Well most girls get a bracelet or a necklace, or even really good Chinese takeout."
"Consider yourself not like other girls then." He left a ghost of a kiss on her cheek, taking her hand and leading them around the cemetery.
The cemetery felt very cold, and although it was Fall, and winter would soon come, it was nothing to the shivers that Davina felt.
"Kol, I don't like this."
He stopped walking and turned to look at the brunette, she was holding an arm over the other for comfort, she was looking around frantically.
"what's wrong?"
"I don't know, I have a weird feeling. Like my bones are yanking me in different directions." She tried to explain, she suddenly her small voices and began to look around her surrounds, looking for other people.
"Did you hear that?" She muttered, looking into his eyes, hoping that she wasn't going crazy.
'witch!'
'creature of nature!'
'Harvest'
"Okay Darling, let's go I think we had enough for one day." He spoke, grabbing her hand and pulling her faster towards the car.
Rebekah's heart was beating. The small interaction never left her mind. She has not seen a man like that in quite some time. Truth be told she hadn't got much time for a man at all. She hadn't notice the man before, but what she did notice was that he came to the mailbox of Caroline's, and it raised questions in her mind.
Surely if she had a boyfriend, she wouldn't have agreed to go out with Klaus. Although they were stuck on the idea that it wasn't a date, just a get-together, she was still determined to find out if the blonde across the street was a Trollop indeed.
"Who's lives across the street?"
"A family that would make the Addams Family look like angels."
"That bad?"
"That's the thing, I don't know."
Stefan and Caroline were watching the latest episode of 'The Walking Dead', Stefan's mind wondered back to Rebekah all evening. He couldn't help but want to get to know more of her. At least one conversation, one more minute- or thirty- to talk to her, and see her face.
"Why?" Caroline asked.
"I seen a girl. She was beautiful."
"Oh not you too!" Caroline rolled her eyes so far back, she was sure it would get stuck if she did it again.
"What do you mean?"
"You know my friend? Davina?"
"Yes, Frying Pan."
"Is that what you're gonna always say when I bring her up?"
"maybe."
Caroline just simply laughed, she explained to him about Davina and the neighbor, and how it's 4 of them, plus how they always go on vacation. Not to forget to mention Rina being deathly afraid of them.
"Maybe the Cat senses something we don't." He tried to use logic, but logic is never the answer.
"But anyways, her name is Rebekah, and I'm pretty sure she is the result of an affair with Satan and an Angel. I mean she's so pretty but she gives major Off With His Head vibes if you know what I mean-"
Stefan couldn't hold his laugh in any longer.
"I'm serious Stefan! She's a real piece of work!"
"Ah, Marcel, My prodigy." Klaus tilted the cup in his hand while greeting his old friend. They sat in the middle of the French table quarter, a variety of supernaturals
"You know you should really just move back out here, you take so many trips back and forth it must be tiring."
"I've been alive for 1000 years, everything seems to Tire me."
"How's Massachusetts?"
"It's become more of a delight must I say. Other than that pestering Katerina."
"I thought you said before that she wasn't much of a problem anymore."
"That was before the owner of her became acquainted with my family and I."
Klaus informed Marcel of the latest woes. His mind is twenty five percent on getting Katerina away from Caroline, but the rest of his thoughts carried around the blonde bombshell that lived across the street.
"Rina! Rina get back here right now!" Caroline shouted. The cat found it's way into the elderly neighbors yard, vandalizing every fruit and vegetable it came across.
"They are definitely gonna either sue or call animal control!"
Rina hated those two words- Animal Control- like who do those people think they are anyway.
After another eventful morning with Rina, Caroline and Stefan headed out to the nearby Bar. Davina was busy with Kol, like she has been this whole week, and frankly Caroline didn't mind, she missed Stefan, missed something that used to be apart of her home.
"So, Any news on the boarding house?"
"Damon finally called the construction workers, they say the house should be fixed at least by the end of November."
"Well, looks like you're stuck with me for the next two months."
The two lifted their glasses and clanked them together, downing the alcoholic substance and letting it burn their throat.
Caroline looked towards the entrance when she noticed Rebekah. She swiftly nudged Stefan in his rib to get his attention.
"ow." He deadpanned. "What was that for!"
"Blonde Hottie Number 2, Three O' Clock."
Stefan turned his head slightly to notice her. His stomach twist slowly in small knots.
"Do I say something to her?"
"She's not gonna bite your head off. Now go! Don't be scared."
Stefan slowly approached the blonde vixen, she was sitting in a booth by herself looking over the menu, he could've sworn she had a look of disgust on her face.
"There cheeseburger is to die for." He spoke up, her eyes slowly moving to his and then back on her menu.
"I'm sure." Her voice held a definite tone that held sarcasm.
"I'm Stefan. I saw you across the street, remember?"
Rebekah's eyes never left the menu. "Rebekah."
"Have we met before?"
"I've met a lot of faces, and yours doesn't particularly stand out." With that, Rebekah rose to her feet, offended at the thought of the man she saw at Caroline's house is trying to hit on her.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be leaving. And do tell Caroline I tend to tell my brother that she is spoken for already."
Rebekah's heels made it's way outside but before she could step any further, a cold hand pressed around her wrist, gently pulling her back. She turned around and pulled her hand away, looking up to meet Stefan's eyes.
"Woah, Caroline? What does she have to do with anything?" He asked, slightly baffled.
"She's your girlfriend! Is she not?" Rebekah answered, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
Stefan didn't hold a still face for three seconds before he bursted out laughing. Rebekah looked very taken aback.
Wiping an imaginary tear, Stefan regained his composure, "Caroline and I are not-" he shrugged his shoulders in disgust. "She's family. The closest thing to immediate family, if I may add."
Rebekah felt embarrassed. Her eyebrows furrowed together and her cheeks began to grow red. "Oh."
"yeah. It's no big deal, I'll see you later." Stefan said before giving her a small smile and walking back inside. Rebekah's chest felt like a needle pricked it. She just made a fool of herself. Something she does often but not so sudden. And to think she almost ruined Nik's chances too, it gave her a small chill.
Stefan reached Caroline once again, the look on his face told her everything she needed to know, with that being said she slid him the flask.
