Authors Notes- And look what we got here I'm FINALLY back with another chapter to Until I Break You. Sorry, it took me forever to get back to this story but as you know I don't own Transformers that belongs to Hasbro. I'm merely borrowing the, for my own amusement. Now that we got that out of the way here is Chapter Two I hope you enjoyed it.
Chapter Two: Conversations With A tyrant
To say that Jack was scared would be an understatement. The boy was terrified and rightfully so as he continued to squirm in Knock Out's grip. He had been captured by the Decepticons, was aboard the Decepticon warship that could be anywhere!
"L-let me go!" Jack cried out, trying in vain to pry the Decepticons metal fingers off of him. Knock Out's only response was to squeeze him a little tighter.
Not enough to hurt the boy, but enough to stop his squirming. After all, Lord Megatron would tear him limb from limb if something were to happen to Jack before Megatron got a chance to talk with him before the human became Shockwave's newest experiment. At least, Knock Out mused as he rounded the corner, that was what he over heard, when he had passed Shockwave's lab earlier. Poor kid, but better one of the Autobots little pets then him, or anyone else on the base.
Giving a shudder the red Decepticon shook his head, and made his way to the Command Room where Megatron was waiting, as Jack renewed his struggles. Jack shot Knock Out a cold glare as he tried to break free once more.
"I hope you know I won't talk. I won't tell you, or Megatron anything about the Autobots." The kid growled.
Knock Out had to chuckle at that, as red optics burned into Jack's blue eyes. "You really think that's what we want? Or should I say what Megatron wants?" Knock Out scoffed.
Another chill ran down Jack's spine at the thought of Megatron. Knock Out gave Jack a cold smile. "Because in all honesty if it were up to me? You would be crushed under my tires for what you did to my finish." Knock Out said, gesturing his dirty and scratched paint job.
This would take hours for him to buff out, and since Breakdown had become one with the All Spark maintaining his fabulous paint job was far harder than it had to be. And if wasn't for the fact that he absolutely hated humans, he would make Jack here buff him. But, he knew Lord Megatron wouldn't like that, and besides Knock Out doubted that the kid would do it right.
Giving his head another shake he finally reached the Command Room, the heavy metal doors sliding open with a faint hiss. Whimpering Jack ceased his struggles to turn around and look behind him. Seeing that they finally reached their destination, his eyes glued on the figure standing in the middle of the room. Hands clasped behind his back. An all too familiar figure in sterling silver turned to face the two.
Megatron.
Jack swallowed thickly as his gaze remained glued on the figure. Taking in the sharp toothed grin the Decepticon leader gave him, red optics fixed on him. Jack was silent as Knock Out placed him on a table. Megatron's optics continuing to watch him as Knock Out moved away from him, allowing Megatron to draw close. Knock Out said nothing as he moved off to the side, watching the interaction between the two. As he did he couldn't help but feel just the slightest sliver of sympathy for the boy.
Whatever Megatron had planned for Jack it wasn't going to be good. Shaking his head once more, he tensed as Megatron turned his gaze to the medic.
"You're dismissed." Megatron said curtly, before turning back to Jack.
Bowing Knock Out turned and headed out of the Command Room, leaving Jack to his fate.
Jack's eyes remained glued on Megatron as he loomed over him. Swallowing again he somehow managed to tear his gaze away, and looked around. Just because he was a prisoner of the Decepticons did not mean he was going to give up. He was going to find away out of here. However, he was soon jerked from his thoughts when Megatron spoke.
"Well," Megatron purred, causing Jack to meet his gaze once more. "We meet again, Jack." Another chill ran down Jack's spine as Megatron said his name. "I have been wanting to have you all to myself. To get you alone, and... despite some complications from you and the Autobots you are finally in my grasp."
Jack blinked. Confusion shining in those beautiful blue eyes. Oh, how Megatorn loved the look in those eyes, how they had haunted his thoughts ever since he had first met him in that cave. And again when he was at the Autobot base. There was just something about the boy who didn't show him any fear...yet.
Megatron knew that even the most bravest of people human or Cybertronian knew fear even if they didn't show it. The boy was no different.
"What are you talking about?" Jack asked, jerking him from his thoughts. "Is this some stupid trick to get to the Autobots? Because I will tell you, as I told Knock Out." Jack said, teeth clenched. "I will never tell you where they are. I would rather die than tell you anything."
At this Megatron was silent, as was Jack. The two of them staring at each other when Megatron threw back his head and laughed. Drawing the attention of the Vehicons around him, several tearing their gazes away from their work to watch the two.
"Boy," Megatron said, still chuckling.
Jack was certain that if Megatron was able he would have been wiping tears from his optics. Jack flinched slightly as Megatron loomed over him once again. Gone was the cruel smile, instead a scowl was etched on Megatron's face plate, as Megatron moved closer and closer, making Jack take a few steps back. Crying out as he tripped over his own feet, and landing on his butt. Earning another chuckle from the Decepticon.
"If I were going to use you to lure in the Autobots, or use as a bargaining chip I would have contacted Optimus Prime by now. As you can see I have not." Megatron continued.
At this Jack blinked, if Megatron wasn't going to use him as a bargaining chip then why was he here?
"You have on more than one occasion intrigued me, Jack." Megatron continued on. Not seeming to care that the boy was silent. "Most humans I know of would have cowered in fear the moment they laid eyes on me, or would have tried to extinguish my spark given the chance. And yet you didn't."
"I didn't want to cheat Optimus out of a chance to be the one to do it." Jack said, getting to his feet.
"And then there was the time you alone restored the Matrix of Leadership, just to return Optimus Prime to his former self."
"You don't need to recap." Jack said. "I was there, remember?"
"Oh, but I do boy," Megatron purred, sounding more like some big jungle cat rather than a giant, sentient robot warlord from another planet. It sent another chill down his spine. "In fact it was these actions and more that drew me to you and since then I've been watching you."
Jack's eyes widened as those words left Megatron's mouth. Was he being serious? Had he been watching Jack ever since then? And if so had he been watching Raf and Miko? Were they in danger too? Jack's mouth went dry as realization set in. They were in danger. Jack thought, heart beat quickening. He had to find a way to warn them, had to get out of here somehow. Wide blue eyes then turned to the screen Megatron directed him to, seeing picture after picture of him with Arcee.
With Raf and Miko, outside his school as he talked with Sierra. And last but not least there were pictures of him outside his home. Pictures of his mother and him talking outside the house. Megatron and his Decepticons knew where he lived. Wordlessly he looked to Megatron once more, as Megatron gave him a sidelong glance. The corner of his mouth turning upwards turning upwards as the color drained from Jack's face.
This had to be a dream. A nightmare. He thought as he moved to pinch himself. Wincing as pain radiated from where he had pinched. Not a dream.
"What do you want?" Jack whispered. They knew everything about him. Megatron had been watching him.
"What do I want?" Megatron parroted, sounding surprised by this question. "Why my dear Jack." He purred, placing a taloned finger under the boys chin, forcing Jack to look at him. "I want nothing. I already have you."
Cold, metal fingers wrapped around Jack. Picking the boy up Megatron brought him up to his face plate. "And now that I do I am never letting you go." As those words left Megatron's mouth Jack for once in his life felt hopelessness sink in.
As he found himself in the Decepticons leaders clutches. Biting down on his bottom lip to keep the tears from spilling down his cheeks he looked away. Hoping and praying that Arcee and the others would find him, and bring him home.
This had to be a nightmare. Arcee thought as she paced around the base. All optics were on her as she did so. The Decepticons had Jack, they had managed to grab him and retreat back to their base all while she and the others were preoccupied. Arcee gritted her denta, fists clenched as she growled low in her throat. Damn those Con's. She thought darkly. They had planned this from the very beginning. Growling again Arcee then looked to where Ratchet was typing away on the console.
Optimus was at his side, optics narrowed, his mouth turned down in a grim frown. Arms crossed over his chest plate as the Autobot leader scanned the screen. Why would the Decepticons capture Jack, let alone go through all the trouble to do so? Everyone had already suggested that the Decepticons were going to use him for ransom, but so far there had been no word. And something told Optimus that wasn't the case. Much like Arcee, Optimus too was beginning to think that the Decepticons had targeted Jack on purpose.
Placing a hand on his chin Optimus was soon jerked from his thoughts as he heard the sound of car tires screeching. Turning around he felt his spark sink when he saw June Darby step out of her car. Obviously she had already received the news of her son. Optimus watched as Agent Fowler descended the steps to intercept her. Only for Optimus to hold up a hand, stopping him as the woman stopped, and looked up at him.
Fear shining in her eyes, making Optimus' spark sink even further at the sight. The poor woman had already been worried about her son being involved with the Autobots, and their war. And now, those fears of hers seemed to have come true. Tears shone in her eyes as she looked up at him.
"Optimus," she said, voice wavering. "Where is my son? Where is Jack?" With that tears spilled down the woman's pale cheeks.
And to make matters worst? Optimus didn't have an answer for her...
