A cold voice rang out through the office, it's source impossible to determine as it reverberated through every corner of the room, decorated in every way imaginable with grinning and waving pictures of the occupant.

"Gilderoy, oh, Gilderoy…" it said silkily with a quiet chuckle.

"Y-yes?" stammered Lockhart after scanning the room with his eyes quickly, at first only mildly surprised- he'd had his share of over-zealous fans who resorted to strange methods to get a chance to speak to their idol.

"Oh… where do I even begin?"

Gilderoy was slightly frightened, but comforted by the knowledge that he, of course, was more than capable of defending himself against this intruder if he became violent. Not to mention, him bravely fighting off an attack could only result in good publicity. So, "Who are you? Why are you here?" he commanded, his voice confident and serious.

The voice chuckled again, this time sounding more dangerous than playful. "If you know what's good for you, you'll stop yelling and quiet down. It seems that you do know, however, no need to lecture you on that topic. Yes, indeed. You do know what is good for you, and you act on that knowledge, even if doing so at the expense of others. Trivialties such as morals mean nothing to you… Ambitious, resourceful, cunning... why, you are the textbook definition of 'Slytherin'."
A pause, and then it continued. "If I had answered your first question, this would not surprise you, as I have surrounded myself with people like you for quite a while now… but I can quite honestly say that I have never seen such qualities embodied in a man with such a beautiful smile and such blue eyes. There was a quiet, shuddering gasp, and Gilderoy was suddenly aware of how quiet his visitor's voice had become throughout this short monologue.

"Having a body can be quite cumbersome, can it not?" came the whisper, "Well, for once, how I wish I was not bodiless, so that I could-" the voice was reduced to a gibbering mumble.

Professor Lockhart, now more disturbed than anything, was ready to leave and put as much distance as possible between himself and this obviously mad intruder who seemed to know so much about him. From past experience, however, he knew that it was best to deal with people such as these as soon as the opportunity presented itself. "Reveal yourself, AT ONCE!" he cried, interrupting the voice's ramblings, his wand drawn, twirling around as he attempted to locate this stalker, his expensive robes (jade green today) swishing gracefully around his trim figure.

The voice, very suddenly, sounded sane again. "Don't be ridiculous, that's not possible. Now, Gilderoy!"

Having had enough, Lockhart moved towards the door, stepping out just as the voice cried out in shock and sent the door slamming in an attempt to keep him inside. Walking away, he was smiling to himself, amused at his own ability to charm the pants off of just about anyone, the sane and the not so much so.

Even as the crazed admirer, still in his office, yelled "Return at once! How dare you disobey me, the Dark Lord? You shall regret it!" at his back, all he could do was chuckle.
