Chapter Eight.
"I think it would have been better for us to split up," Black Cat opined.
"No, all of us need to work together to defeat that psychopath. Remember, Bullseye is so good that he doesn't need to train or practice," Spider-Woman responded.
"So that means that when we finally get that bastard in our sights, we can't miss," Black Cat continued.
"I sure as hell won't!" Bombshell snapped. Lana Baumgartner saw red as soon as Aunt May had mentioned Peter being Brain dead, and had promised to fufill the Reilly widow's request of hunting the assassin down. No sooner had she hung up did Lana blast a pickup truck with her explosive energy. Her two comrades had gasped audibly upon hearing what happened to their male companion.
"If that f**king prick hadn't injured Parker's legs, he could have used his webs to save Captain America, instead of being a human shield! I'm gonna wipe him off the face of the Earth!" Lana shouted. Despite the grief they were all undoubtedly feeling, all three had made up their minds not to cry until the monster who caused their friend's death was himself dead. There wasn't even any discussion of taking Bullseye alive. Currently they were searching Inwood Hill Park, the largest old-growth forest on Manhattan Island. After what he did to the webslinger, Bullseye would likely avoid urban or suburban areas. They'd only arrived ten minutes earlier. Suddenly a taunting voice began to sing.
If you go down in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise
If you go down in the woods today, you'd better go in disguise
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic
"Come out you coward!" Bombshell demanded, in no mood for the Hitman's games. Jessice Drew's Spider sense tingled, and she shot web bullets at four smooth rocks thrown at her fiery teammate. She did the same to two sharpened branches thrown at Felicia Hardy.
"Get behind me!"
The two other superpowered girls obeyed Spider-Woman and the latter continued to repel Bullseye's projectiles, the next of which was a pinecone, followed by an acorn. After ten more attacks, Lana, who had been listening to the sounds of the projectiles whistling through the air, picked up a a branch a batted back two jagged rocks their assailant, who dogged and was spotted fleeing through the woods.
"Get your ass back here!" Bombshell roared as she pursued him. The foul-mouthed, ill-tempered girl started blasted as soon as she saw him clearly, but the sadist dodged her attacks by zig-zagging and leaping wildly like a frog.
"Learn how to shoot little girl!" Bullseye taunted. Suddenly, Lana got an idea, and fired her energy ifn front of the assassin. The shockwave knocked him backward toward Spiderwoman who kicked him in the ribs, knocking him sideways towards Black Cat.
"This is for Spiderman!" Hardy shouted and slit the murderer's throat, ducking as she swiped. The hitman flew into a tree with a sickening thud. Felciia moved to stand over him and said, "Bullseye asshole!"
As Lana dropped down and put her fists in his mouth, preparing to blow him to bits, Spiderwoman told her that they ended his body intact as proof that he was deceased to May and the authorities.
"Fine," Baumgartner said begrudgingly.

The Trio carried the currently deceased psychopath to the nearest police station, where they also called May Reilly. She hurried there as soon as she could, with the hospital providing a helicopter for her. It landed on the roof of the station, the same area where the three young women had landed with their prize. Getting out of the chopper, Peter's aunt had Stacy, Watson, Storm, and Drake with her. They stared daggers of death at Bullseye, then May turned to Peter's teammates and said, "Well done you three.
"You're welcome May. Did the hospital…?" Jessica trailed off.
"No, I asked them to leave him on life support until you all had the chance to say goodbye. I'm not going to listen to or watch him being taken off. I can't bear it," May answered sadly. Her eyes were puffy and red, as were the eyes of the two teenagers next to her.
"Me neither," Mary Jane added.
"I definitely won't stay for that," Gwen agreed.
"I guess we better get going then," Spiderwoman said. She leapt off the police station, while Bombshell and Black Cat wordlessly followed. They couldn't make a decision until they saw him.

When they arrived at the hospital, the doctors and nurses let them in and said to take as much time as they needed. All of them just stared at Peter's lifeless body for several seconds, then Baumgartner ran forward and grasped his arm.
"Damn it Parker, why didn't you just go ot the hospital?! Why did you have to play hero even when you were hurt?!"
"Because the last time he looked the other way his Uncle Ben Riley was killed," Drew replied sadly as she walked forward to stroke his hair.
"It's a shame he couldn't stop blaming himself," Black Cat added before kneeling down and pecking his cheek, wiping the tears that ran down her cheek. Spiderwoman lifted up her mask, which ahd perviously hid her tears and gave a longer kiss to his forehead. Bombshell shoved her face to muffle her sobs; she felt the worst that Peter died, because she never got to spend that much time with him, and therefore didn't get to really know him. Her two allies patted her back. After three minutes, the explosive teen stood up and said, "It was really nice of him to keep my secret, I sure didn't deserve it after I what I did."
She left the room, a silent message that she wouldn't stay to see him unplugged. Spider-woman said, "Goodbye Peter."
"Rest in Peace Tiger. Tell your Uncle Ben I said Hi." Black Cat added in a somber tone. Both of them followed their fiery teammate out the door.
