"See! What I tell ya?"
Wait... I know that voice. Johnny?
"I yield," Rain muttered before moving Art's hand away.
Art wheeled around and saw a trio of individuals. He recognized all of them.
"What do you think, Haoka?" Nightwolf asked without taking his eyes off Art.
Raiden, standing between Nightwolf and Johnny Cage, eyeballed Art with what appeared to be apparent approval.
"Very impressive," he replied. "It's not everyday we meet someone who can hold their own against Rain, let alone humble him. We'll need his help if we're going to stop Shao Kahn's invasion."
A/N:
White Package
Haven't really been as motivated to post new chapters. While I am grateful for all my readers and the traffic you consistently supply, there simply isn't enough engagement to keep me hooked. Been reading the Parasyte manga quite a bit lately, as well as trying to determine my future as both a musician and storyteller. Sort of at an invisible crossroad and the most comfortable thing to do has been to sit in one place without deciding on a direction. Maybe it's fear more than it is procrastination, laziness, or a matter of motivation. Am I good enough? Am I merely a medium sized fish in a small puddle? Has my comfort zone become a prison cell? It all gets way to deep way too quickly, and it's been easier to avoid these questions via escapism. I'm actually about to load up another match of League of Legends as we speak.
It's tough, and I'd rather not have my note section become some sort of soap box for my philosophical musings. Still, if you were concerned in any way about the infrequency of my posts despite the written schedule on my profile, there it is. How do I reach readers, viewers, more people? A different method of storytelling? Paid promotion? A silly hat? Who knows.
See you guys on Monday. Maybe.
