A/N: I'M BACK

"I'm really sorry Korra but my answer from before still stands. I have to leave this planet as soon as possible."

Goku's statement from earlier was still resounded in Korra's mind and it bummed her out to no end. She understood his reasoning for rejecting her request and would never fault someone for thinking of their family. Spirits knew she would go to any lengths to protect her own. Still, it was just such a waste of an opportunity in her opinion. Maybe if she was a little more persistent she could have had at least a week to learn from him. No matter how hard she tried to get it out of her head or Goku flat out rejecting her every time, she could still feel the power of his Kaioken technique that had her mesmerized.

These thoughts plagued her as she walked back to her temporary housing in Zaofu. She had just turned the corner to walk down the path leading to the house when she heard her name being called out.

"Korra! A minute please!"

She turned to see Suyin coming up behind her. The Avatar smiled and waved at her host. "Hey Suyin. It's good to see you," she greeted.

The Zaofu matriarch slowed down to a halt before wrapping her in a warm hug. "No Korra, it's great to you. How are you feeling?" They let go of each other and stepped back.

"Well the shirshu venom wore off so I'm back in top form," she said, flexing her muscles for show.

Suyin smiled. "That's good news Korra. Come with me. We'll talk more inside with Lin and Asami," she motioned for her to follow her. Not long afterwards, they reached Korra's house.

Once they were inside, the two women saw Lin and Asami sitting on the couch. When Asami saw who walked through the door, her face lit up. "Korra!" She walked over to give her a hug as well. Holding the shorter girl in place by the shoulders, the Sato heiress had a look of relief. "I just missed you when you left. Mako and Bolin told me you went to see Goku about something," she said.

Korra averted her eyes. "I did but...we can talk about that some other time," she deflected. Asami raised an eyebrow at that but did not press further.

She looked over to Lin, who only gave her a curt nod as per usual. A slight smile appeared at her lips as she took in everyone in the room. After all the craziness she heard had happened last night, it was just nice to see everyone in one piece.

When the introductions were out of the way, they got down to business. Lin was the first to speak. "Has anyone found where they came in from?" the police chief queried. Everyone shook their head as none of them anything of value. She pinched the bridge of her nose before looking at her sister. "We need another approach. Let's start questioning the guards this time instead of looking ourselves," she suggested.

Suyin thought about it for a moment then nodded. "I agree. Let's find out if there is a mole in our city." There was a guard posted at the door who she called for. "Find Aiwei and tell him to meet me at the interrogation room. He should be in his office at the city hall right now," she ordered. The guard did as she was told and left the house.

She then looked towards Korra. "In the meantime, I'm going to go out and put out a call for all guards to be notified for a meeting with me today. I'm not letting this drag out any longer than this has to. We'll find out just who was willing to put your life in danger."

Afterwards, Suyin and Lin left the house to begin their search which left Korra and Asami alone. They both sat down opposite of each on the couches and let out a collective sigh.

Asami spoke up. "So are you going to tell me what happened earlier?" she asked regarding Korra's deflection not ten minutes ago.

Korra averted her eyes again. "I went to thank Goku for last night and asked if he could show me his way of fighting but the guy is adamant about leaving soon," she confided. Even though she knew that Asami would not judge her, she did not feel the need to talk about that right now.

Her friend did not take the hint. "You mean he blew you off again?" she asked bluntly.

She was met with a slight glare and the Sato heiress put her hands up. "I didn't mean it like that. He really said no twice, huh? Why do you want him to teach you so bad?"

Looking around to see if anyone else was inside, she decided to relay her true thoughts on the matter to her close friend. "After last night, I couldn't help but think that maybe it wouldn't hurt to have a little help. You saw it, they nearly kidnapped me and I couldn't even lift a finger." She felt dejected just talking about it. In her mind, it was as if she had failed to prevent what could have happened to her friends.

"When Goku told me his technique could enhance all my senses and powers, I just felt it was the answer I needed all along. It could have been my chance to learn something to one-up Zaheer," she confessed.

"Korra you're being too hard on yourself. Avatar or not, no one can fight off shirshu venom. Mako is right; we can handle these creeps on our own," repeating Mako's earlier comments regarding Goku, she found that it was something she agreed with. "Besides, he's already helped us out plenty by stopping that space emperor from coming here," she said. It was a fact that Korra knew she could not argue with.

"We don't need some muscled-up alien to help us," she smirked. "We have our own muscled-up badass Avatar right here," she said playfully.

Korra laughed at that remark. "Thanks Asami." She always knew how to cheer her up when she was down.

"She's right you know," a familiar voice said as the door opened, revealing it to be Mako and Bolin. They walked through the door with Bolin holding Pabu on his shoulder.

Korra groaned, her head falling back. "How much of that did you hear?"

Giving her a wide grin, Bolin stopped in front of them. "Enough to hear that you're pissing on yourself a little too much Miss Avatar," he quipped.

Mako smirked. "Just the last part but Bolin's right. We've stopped the Equalists and went up against your uncle's crazy plan for world domination. Compared to them, Zaheer doesn't even hold a candle to the stuff we've already went through," he said confidently.

Even though her friends meant well, she couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed that they now knew she was feeling like this. "Okay okay, I get it guys. Korra's being a downer right now. Can we just stop talking about it already?" To her relief, no one else mentioned it again.

Mako looked over to Korra. "Suyin filled us in already about interrogating the guards but we ran into a problem," he revealed.

Not expecting this, she asked him to elaborate. "What happened?"

"Aiwei is nowhere to be found."

As the people of Zaofu continued to go about their day to day activities, completely oblivious to last night's events save for Team Avatar, the same could not be said for the group who had infiltrated their so called 'safest city in the world'.

Deep underground the city was a dungeon-esque prison that was solely reserved for times when the safety of the entire fortified metal city was threatened. Whispers of this place only circulated through accidental slip-ups from guards, but was denounced by the common citizen of Zaofu as mere story, a way to give their children an attitude adjustment whenever they misbehaved. Unbeknownst to those folks however, its existence was every bit real as the rumors said it was. And it was here that four of the main members, as well as its leader, of the criminal group known as the Red Lotus was being held. A giant walled chamber was what they were imprisoned in, encased in pure platinum which stayed true to the moniker 'The Metal City' Zaofu advertised itself to be.

It was in this prison that the four criminals, who orchestrated the attack on Zaofu the day before, were separated by thick metal walls to make sure that they were not allowed to communicate with one another. Not only that, but dozens of well-trained metalbending guards were ordered to keep the group under constant surveillance. They had slipped out of watch once, under the White Lotus. Zaofu's metalbenders would not make the same mistake, their matriarch Suyin had boldly warned them of such a grave error.

Four guards stood outside one particular cell. They were the some of the best guards chosen for this particularly dangerous man, handpicked by the matriarch herself.

"So...uh...how long do you guys think we'll be down here?" one of them tried to start conversation but it came out as awkwardly as one might expect.

The guard to his left snorted. "Who knows Hoshi. Probably until the White Lotus figure out a way to contain them again," he said offhandedly.

He felt a smack against his shoulder, making him flinch. "Will you shut up, Tenku? How do you think this guy got past those White Lotus fools in the first place? You need to be alert at all times you idiot," the third guard scolded.

Tenku rubbed his shoulder. "Calm down Lee. Maybe you need to be more alert because this guy clearly isn't getting past platinum walls. The guy's an airbender of all things, can you believe it? Hehe...an evil airbender," he let out a small chuckle and shook his head.

Snickering at first, the first guard Hoshi then laughed with him. "I thought those guys were all about rainbows and sunshine too. What, is he going to pass some gas at me? Oh no, my precious nose hairs! I'm so scared," he mocked knowing the captive inside could not hear them. The other two guards laughed along with him, finding their own predicament strangely hilarious.

The third guard, Lee, did not join their open mockery. "You clearly were not there two nights ago but I was. He made quick work of all ten of us and would have taken the city if it weren't for that Goku guy showing up," he said, remembering the events of last night with clarity.

The others rolled their eyes at him. Tenku gave Lee a pointed look. "Right I heard about that and that's exactly why I'm laughing. If Zaheer can't even handle one punch to the gut by one man then I don't see the reason for all this security. Besides, all he's been doing is sitting down with his eyes closed making faces at the door," shaking his head, he ceased his laughter anyways.

Lee glared at them, not liking their outlook towards this situation. He persisted on. "He knocked out the Avatar and had all of us and her friends fighting for our lives out there. That's why there's more of us guards in here than the other cells. Now, fix your attitudes and shut up already," he grumbled out.

Hoshi sighed. "Always the dutiful soldier, aren't you Lee?" he asked rhetorically. Lee glared at him as well and he raised his hands in mock surrender.

Nevertheless, they quit his chatter and went back to 'guard mode'. Though Tenku was only trying to lighten the mood inside, even he was unnerved by this much security. He did not want the others to catch wind of that little detail though. The other inmates only had two guards outside their cells but this one was apparently different. In the case of Zaheer however, Suyin deemed it necessary to assign the head of the Red Lotus double the amount of guards that the rest of his comrades had. He was single handedly responsible for their cult's revival so it made sense why most of the attention was on him. His wrists and ankles were chained and were long enough to allow some movement though some agreed that he should have been chained directly to the wall.

Occasionally, Tenku would peek through the tiny peephole on the heavy door to make sure the captive was still behaving in there. A few times he would be eating whatever was fed to him. Most times though, he always seemed to be in a meditative state. His legs were crossed together and his hands held in the lotus pose. He personally found it very weird but who was he to judge? That was the spirits job anyway and he did not get paid to judge people. His job was to guard the fool who crossed the matriarch and her family as well as the Avatar.

Now that would pay him handsomely.

It had been about twelve hours after the Red Lotus attack on the Metal Clan and Zaheer was doing what he had been doing since he was imprisoned again...meditating. The airbender normally kept his composure but he knew if he did not meditate he would have blown a gasket thinking about what had transpired. All the countless mishaps, all the obstacles thrown at them when he was assured by his confidant that there would be none, and most of all...him. Now he was in a prison cell that was even sturdier than the last one he was in.

But there was a difference this time around. Now that he had experienced his first taste of freedom in over 13 years, he wanted it back. It was so close he could taste it. One thing Zaheer was sure his comrades were thinking was the fact that they were all in the same prison hold. Until those traitors to the original cause came to fetch and separate them again, he knew that there was a chance to escape.

He sneered and shook his head. Going into the Spirit World required intense focus and these intrusive thoughts were not helping him. Calming his mind and spirit, he focused them to another plane of existence. Beyond the realm of the physical beings and into the world of spirits. When he opened his eyes and laid them on the vast open fields of the Spirit World, he did not move. This time, the beauty of this higher plane did not captivate him like it did every other time he visited. No, he would not be going anywhere. Not until his foolish confidant came prepared to give him a proper explanation of what the fuck happened to their plans for the Avatar's capture.

The plan was supposed to work but somewhere along the way it started falling apart little by little. First those meddlesome friends of hers interfered and then the rest of the metalbenders cutting off their escape not too long after. It was infuriating how easily their escape from the Metal Clan had backfired on them but the Red Lotus leader was sure their team could have taken out the rest of those fools as he was already seeing the wear and tear on their faces long before he did. What boggled his mind was the arrival of that spiky-haired stranger. He could still feel the indent of his fist embedded in his gut even though he had left his physical body temporarily. That was the single most humiliating experience he had in his life bar none. He was not one to dwell on matters like these as he had plenty of time to think about his last defeat that cost him his freedom so he thought he knew better now.

But what happened back there was nothing short of terrifying. The rogue airbender could not believe how easily his group of highly skilled benders, the best in the world even, had lost to one man. They had become child's play to force unlike he had ever seen and the worst part about it was that the stranger did not even break one sweat. It unnerved him greatly when he emerged unscathed from P'Li's point-blank blast. Any normal man should have been incinerated from that but this guy not only did he not have a single scratch on him or his clothes but he proceeded to mock them right afterwards.

His thoughts ended when he saw the outline of a familiar figure approaching him and his eyes darkened. It was revealed to be Aiwei, looking more nervous with every he step he took towards the airbender. 'Good, just as he should be', he thought.

They both said nothing for a little bit until Aiwei broke the silence, clearing his throat. "That was not supposed to happen," he began. Zaheer said nothing, keeping his gaze steeled on the truth seer.

The man in question gulped. "I...tried to take every measure I could to ensure Goku would not interfere but he-"

"Why was I not informed about this Goku?"

Aiwei faltered at the question. "Well he appeared outside Zaofu badly injured a week before our last correspondence and I did not think he would recover so fast. But he somehow recovered after we formulated the plan and two nights before your arrival so two days had elapsed. By then you had already been traveling to Zaofu and I was unable to reach you during that time," he explained, trying to keep his face neutral.

Zaheer narrowed his eyes and walked forward until he was face to face with him. "That's not what I meant. Why was I not told of his presence the day we got there? No note and no warning at all about some muscle-headed freak. I imagine people like you take measures to know of potential threats to your position so why wasn't the same courtesy extended to me?" he questioned sharply. The truth seer could not form a response to that and averted his eyes, preferring to look at his feet instead.

He tilted his head to the side. "Could it be Aiwei...that you've switched allegiances?" At that, the older man's head snapped upwards in alarm. "After all, you already work for that Beifong already. It would be easy for you wouldn't it?"

"No! I would never betray the Red Lotus! Please...I can explain everything if you give me a moment of your time,"

"I have been giving you more than a moment and you haven't been using it well," Zaheer said in a low voice.

"Yes, I do apologize for my negligence first. The information should have relayed to you. But this Goku...he has said things that made me quite skeptical even though he was telling the truth," he paused, trying to gather his next words, "This will sound insane but he said he was an alien...from outer space," he muttered out the last part though Zaheer heard what he said.

Zaheer blinked and wondered if he had heard him right. Out of any explanation he could have given him that was the one he chose to go with? Without warning, Aiwei was grabbed by his shirt and the two disappeared. They reappeared at the slope of a cliff above a foggy area before the truth seer could react. The old fool would see just how he thought about that half-assed excuse as he held him over the edge.

He looked downright terrified and rightfully so in Zaheer's opinion. "I'm going to give you one chance to repeat yourself or so may the spirits help me I don't send you down this abyss right now," he growled out, ready to throw this potential traitor into the pit of madness below.

The older man could only close his eyes in fear. "No! I am telling you the truth and nothing but the truth I swear it!" he yelled out in terror just as Zaheer was ready to do the deed. "I saw his otherworldly power myself the day he awakened and I knew he could not be near Zaofu when our plan was to unfold!" Slowly opening his eyes, he saw Zaheer keeping his steely gaze on him.

Taking it as a sign to keep talking, he did just that. "When the time came, I had followed him all the way from Zaofu to the mountains about 10 miles from the city," he continued, doing all he could to not stutter. "He even reached the peak of a mountain and stood there staring at the full moon. But then an explosion came from the direction of the city which I am sure he heard as well. Before I could even blink he just vanished." A deep breath followed. "I could not believe this myself either when I saw it happen but please I beg that you trust me I did all I could," he gulped, hoping that his story was enough to pull him back from cliff's edge.

Neither said a word for a few brief moments as Zaheer bore his eyes down at Aiwei's, trying to look for any signs of deception. Then to the truth seer's great relief, he was hoisted back on his feet. Before he knew it, they disappeared again before reappearing back at the same spot they were originally at. The rogue airbender let go of his grip on his robes and took a step back.

He wanted to throw this fool into the pit of madness so much but as much as he tried, he had already seen the proof for himself. The truth seer was definitely onto something with this Goku, he knew that much. Though the fact remained that this new adversary being an alien was still too far-fetched and insane, even by his standards. But if what he was saying really was true then he could take no chances with this new interloper. "How can I be sure if I let you go now that you'll produce results for us the next time we call for you?" the leader queried.

The query threw off the man in question. That was something did not know if he could answer. He was walking on thin ice with the leader so he tried to think of anything useful he could add. "I have a good feeling that we might not have to worry about Goku for too long," he blurted out.

Zaheer did not expect him to say that. He figured the fool would try to defend himself but this took a different turn. "What do you mean by that?"

It was too late to turn back now. "Goku had mentioned that he has family and friends waiting for him and he must return back to his world as soon as possible. I had already advised him to do so once he told us about them," Aiwei revealed.

"If that's true, you'll keep pushing him in that direction. Keep him away from this Zaofu for good this time. Or at least until I can figure out what to do with him after the Avatar is in our grasp. Because if you don't...I guarantee there won't be a next time for you," Zaheer threatened. Aiwei gulped, knowing full well he would follow through with threat.

"Our plans have been jeopardized thanks to your incompetence but there's still use for you yet Aiwei. Do not disappoint us again are we clear?" Getting a nod of confirmation in return, he took a step forward and grabbed his robe again.

"Now when you get back, here's what you're going to do..."

"Not that I don't trust you but are you sure you know what you're doing, Mako?" Bolin asked.

His brother sighed. "Yes Bolin we have to try this. Otherwise we won't know for sure if he's hiding something."

After hearing that Aiwei was nowhere to be found in the main city hall, Mako suggested that they search for him themselves. The others questioned his motives regarding this, seeing that there were plenty of guards to look for him. He had said that there was no reason for him to be missing at a time like this, especially when they needed him to interrogate the guards. To his friends, it implied that Mako thought Aiwei was the traitor. When they went to ask around, some people had said that he had not been seen since yesterday before the attacks. With that information, the team had their full attention to the matter. Asami suggested that they should not tell Suyin about their theory as she would not like her own trusted advisor to be accused in such a way. The others agreed to that and set about finding the lost truth seer.

Now they were outside of Aiwei's house, the location given courtesy by one of the guards. Ducking underneath the bushes, Bolin looked inside through a window and found no one there. "He's not inside...or at least it doesn't look like it," he added.

Korra stood up. "That's good enough for me. Let's go inside and look for clues," she said. She opened the door and they let themselves inside his spacious house. Taking it all in, they began to look around. Mako and Bolin found themselves near the bookshelves while Asami and Korra searched the dining area.

Flipping open a few books on the counter, she found nothing of any importance besides a few articles about acupuncture and moxibustion. Looking over to the others, it seemed like they were in the same boat as her and looking equally as frustrated. Then she heard a sharp intake of breath come from Mako.

"Guys, come take a look at this," he said out loud, focusing at something on the floor. He pointed to his object of attention. "These are scuff marks on the floor, meaning this bookshelf here is moved around a lot and not very far by the looks of it. There could be something behind it if we slide it this way."

Bolin gave his brother a pat on the shoulder. "You know, sometimes I'm so glad you became a cop," he expressed his delight at the find with Korra inclined to agree with the earthbender. Her old flame had a good eye for these kinds of things and it was proving to be a huge asset now.

Mako just gave a slight smile before he put his hands on the shelf, ready to slide it open. But before he could do so they heard footsteps on the floor above them, hearing it come down the stairs. The four quickly moved away from the shelf and stood in place as they came face-to-face with Aiwei himself who did not expect to find them standing there.

His surprise quickly turned to suspicion as he spoke before they could. "What are you doing in my house? You are trespassing on a highly-ranked official's property so you had better have a good explanation," he said sharply, still unable to keep the surprise out of his voice.

Mako walked forward. "You've been missing since yesterday's attacks so how about you explain that first," he countered.

This only served to further irritate Aiwei. "And what might you be trying to suggest with that tone of yours?"

"I don't know. You tell me."

Aiwei did not miss a beat. "If you must know I have been feeling ill since yesterday so I went to Guo to be administered moxibustion. He told me to rest as much as I could as so that's what I did. Now what are you doing here?"

Korra spoke up before Mako could take it any further, to his surprise. "We just wanted to know where you were since you hadn't shown up at all during the meetings today. Suyin had called for you but you didn't show up so we came looking for you to see if everything was alright. Now that we know, we can get out of your hair," she said placatingly.

He visibly relaxed at her words and nodded in understanding. "Well if that's the case then I apologize. I had no idea I was summoned today by the matriarch. If she is still waiting for me then I shall go with you to see her. Come, follow me," he said as he was already at the door.

The four teenagers looked at each other before they decided to drop the matter they really wanted to talk about and followed him out of the door. His quick exit out of the conversation was not unnoticed by four of them either. It seemed like they were so close to finding what he was hiding behind the bookshelf but it would not be today. For now though, they decided to go to Suyin to see if any of the guards knew anything.

If only they saw the slight smirk that flitted across Aiwei's face.

Meanwhile, as Team Avatar had their dealings with Aiwei, Suyin and Lin were treated to the sight of a hungry Saiyan. The chief of police in Republic City was not so easily off-put, but seeing one man eat a restaurant's supply worth of food in such a ravenous manner was enough for her to drop her jaw in shock. Everyone could agree that their guest's table manners were so disgusting they could not peel their eyes away. Even Varrick and Zhu Li were looked like they could throw up.

The only person in the room who did not seem to care about the Saiyan's horrendous appetite was the chef himself. He actually looked delighted that someone was enjoying his food that much. The only real problem he had with the sight was the fact that this man kept saying his wife 'Chi Chi' made better meals than him, setting off his cooking turismo in overdrive.

"I-I can't believe it. Where does it all go?" Suyin managed to get out.

"His stomach must be a portal to the Spirit World," Lin added.

For Goku though, he was having the time of his life. After finishing up a training session of his own, his stomach growled immediately after and reminded him that he had been deprived of good food for too long. Fortunately for him, the head chef was more than happy for Goku to sample his food.

Goku looked up from his bowl of noodles. "Hm? Da ah eyes ay oming?"

The matriarch slapped him on the shoulder. "Chew your food first then swallow and then speak," she admonished. She regretted saying that as he gulped all the food down in one go. "Disgusting," she muttered.

Goku let out a sigh. "I'm sorry guys but this food is so good," he said, just as the chef and a few others came back inside the room with another buffet-level meal. He then grinned, gaining a twinkle in his eye. "Of course, it's still not quite up to the level of my wife but it'll do."

When the chef heard those heretic words, he was immediately heated. "What?! It's still not- are you serious?! How could it not be better? I even added the sweet and spicy sauce to the eggrolls!" When he saw Goku just shrug and whistle, that was the last straw. He would not have this slight stain his flawless cooking skills.

The chef pointed a finger at Goku menacingly. "Just you wait Goku. Before you leave, you'll be begging to take some of it with you back home." He then proceeded to stomp out the dining hall, ready to prove this madman wrong.

Goku let out a hearty laugh at those words. "Alright more food!" He immediately starting chowing down again, shoving a few dumplings in his mouth before drinking a bowl of soup.

Suyin could only stare in shock at the exchange that just happened. "That's the third time you tricked him with that Goku. Have mercy on the poor guy," she then paused, remembering just whose food that was. "And have mercy on me! You'll run us dry before you're satisfied!"

Goku slurped up the noodles in his mouth and wiped his mouth, taking a little breather. "Hey I'm hungry and he wants to keep cooking. It's a win-win in my book," he shrugged, going back to his gluttonous eating. Everyone else in the room just shook their heads, wondering when this would end.

At the same time, Team Avatar walked into the dining hall with Aiwei in tow. Suyin in particular perked up at this and got up from her chair. "Where have you been? We've looked everywhere around the building earlier and you weren't here!" she asked sharply.

Aiwei only bowed to her. "My apologies. I came down with an illness yesterday to which Guo administered moxibustion," he explained. Suyin nodded, knowing of the procedure that was given to her a few times by the same man. "He told me to take it easy for the rest of the day and get plenty of sleep so that was what I did. If I knew you called for me I would have been there in an instant," he assured her.

The clanging of bowls caught their attention and saw Goku cringing at the sound. He saw the annoyed looks everyone gave him and muttered an apology before digging in again.

Suyin seemed to accept his explanation without question and moved on from it. "Well if you're feeling better now then I would ask that you help us find whoever let those criminals inside our city last night. They can't be allowed to aid them into the Metal Cities again," she ordered.

Aiwei nodded. "Yes you're right. Who should we start with?" he asked.

"We'll start with the guards and see if they are hiding anything. Your ability to detect lies will really come in handy this time Aiwei." she told him.

As they discussed what the next plan of action would be, Team Avatar came over to sit by Goku who was nearly done ravaging his food. Bolin only stared in amazement at the alien man's appetite while the rest tried to keep their own food in. "Goku where does all that food even go? Do you have second or third stomach somewhere?" he asked genuinely.

He finished his last bowl and let out a small burp. He patted his belly in contentment before contemplating his question. "You know that's actually a good question. But I'm pretty sure I only have one,"

'Liar', they all collectively thought. Mako, disgusted enough as he already was, decided to get the topic of food out of the conversation. He shifted it to more serious matters. "So Goku can I talk to you about something?" he asked, taking a quick glace over to Aiwei who was still talking to Suyin.

Goku looked over at him. "Hm? What is it?"

"Well I wanted to ask how much longer you were going to stay here for." He hoped that it did not come across as dismissive to the other man.

The Saiyan did not seem phased. "I'm thinking about leaving today after I had a little bite to eat to be honest. I just need that guy over there to keep his hands off of my spaceship by then," he gestured over to Varrick who looked indignant at the accusation.

The fugitive slammed his hand down on the table. "Hey I don't like having people question my great character! I only do things like that for the good of humanity!" he yelled out.

Mako narrowed his eyes at him. "Oh yeah? I'm sure it was how your 'great character' got me arrested." he shot back.

Varrick raised a brow at that then brightened. "Yes! Exactly like that!" He then looked over to Goku. "Listen buddy, I haven't touched your ship so leave whenever you want." Even though he really wanted to take it apart and find out how worked so he could...appropriate it. For humanity of course, not his own selfish desires. That would be so unlike him.

Goku gave him a grin. "Sounds good. Just keep it that way, alright?"

Before the eccentric businessman could respond, Mako interjected before the conversation could spiral somewhere else. "Okay so going back to earlier. Would one of your powers be to see if someone is lying or not?" he asked him. Korra and Asami both understood what he meant by that and awaited Goku's answer as well.

Goku could only blink. "Well...it's not so much a power as it is just a sense. If someone's ki feels really weird when they're talking about something then sure it's easy to pick up on it," he offered. Mako nodded at that little tidbit. "But, if someone was a really good liar and kept themselves composed, I wouldn't really be able to tell." The cop immediately deflated hearing that. If it were anyone else, he would have thought it would not matter but this was Aiwei they were talking about. He probably knew how to keep himself steady and composed with his heart not off by even one beat.

Suddenly Goku furrowed his brow and stood up abruptly. He looked towards the ceiling, startling those in the room. All conversations halted as they took note the sudden alarm that was present on Goku's face. Korra was the first question him as she approached him cautiously. "Goku what's wrong?" What was he staring at the ceiling for? He did not answer her right away, his eyes slowly moving across the ceiling. Almost as if he were tracking something. She was about to repeat herself again when he finally spoke up.

"Someone's coming...and they're strong."

In the deep reaches of outer space beyond the planet Earth, there were two points of light that revealed themselves to be two attack balls of the Planet Trade. With incomprehensible speeds, they made their way across deep space leaving a streak of white light behind them. Once the outline of the Earth became visible they slowed down in order to prepare for their eventual landing.

The two pods quickly reached the upper atmosphere and cut through the air like a knife. They set it on fire around them while they descended towards the large continent below. Onlookers on the earth below would see these two objects as meteors and would 'oo' and 'ah' at them, finding them to be neat spectacles.

But for the people of a small Earth Kingdom town, this would not be a neat event as they quickly realized that those objects were headed dangerously close to their settlement. Various cries rang out once the noise of the attack pods became louder and louder signaling there was not much time left to hurry out of the way. Unfortunately for them, they were right as many people were too late to escape when the attack balls crashed into the center of their town with a resounding 'BOOM'.

The men, women, and children who quickly cleared the area had their eardrums nearly burst from the shockwave that came with the intense impact. When they opened their eyes all they saw were the remains of their once-proud town of people with only a few dozen buildings and houses left standing. It shattered their hearts to see their history taken away from them by mother nature herself.

Or so they thought.

A scream from one woman pulled their attention to what she was looking at. Two beings in some bizarre form of armor came floating out of the craters to greet the locals upon their entrance. They both looked similar to one another with the only difference being their skin pigmentation as one on the left was red while the other was a medium blue. Neither looked like they had any good intentions judging by the sinister smirks on their faces. The onlookers could only guess what they were here for but none of them could imagine what would happen next.

The red alien on the left looked to his right. "Well, should we introduce ourselves Abo?" he asked his partner with a smirk.

The blue alien chuckled. "Do the honors Cado," he said to him.

That was he need to say. Abo kept the smirk as he charged his arm with energy, a coating of blue light appearing around it. With one last look at the terrified population he closed his fist.

A few seconds later, the town instantly vanished in a blinding flash of light and took any remaining survivors with it.

Well it looks like the story is about to get into the second phase now that the introductory chapters are out of the way. I'll just say right now that my version of the two villains won't be as silly as they were in the OVA.

I know there was not really a lot of Goku in this chapter but I just wanted to write the other characters perspectives as I felt they were not being fleshed out properly so far. Goku will be a major focus next chapter so don't worry we'll all see our favorite Saiyan in action very soon.

What did you guys think of this chapter? I'm a little rusty after three years so please let me know if you see anything out of place here. Leave it down in the review box below!
