Chapter 1 – Don't leave me !

"Joe, could you please take your arm off me!" Allison complained as she was trying to turn in bed, "Just stay on your side of the bed! It's hot like hell tonight!"

He moved restlessly, but absolutely not on 'his' side of the bed. Instead he got closer and placed his face on her shoulder.

"Ok, that's it, I'm going to the lounge" she said, just before placing her palm on her husband's face and pushing him. When Joe turned she got off the bed, grabbed a spare pillow and made her way out of the room, grumbling "I just cant believe it. For one night only I am finally sleepy and you wont let me sleep!"

"Who are you talking to?" came the question from the hall. Allison froze as she recognised the voice, it was Joe. Yet she saw him at the end of the dark hall, coming from the kitchen with a glass of water in his hand.

"Honey, something wrong?" he asked, his face worried.

"Ah.. You.. you were in the kitchen!" Allison stuttered.

"Well, yes!" Joe replied with questioning eyes.

"If so there's someone else in our bed!" Allison said just before she turned around and head to the room again. Joe followed unsteadily.

She grabbed the door frame as she saw herself near the bed trying to wake up Joe who was lying in bed unconscious. She tried again again but there was so much blood and he didnt seem alive...

"JOE!" she started from her nightmare.

"Hmm... Good morning to you too, honey!" he smiled stretching himself out on the bed. Sleepily he opened his arms and Allison rolled over into them.

"Is everything alright?" he asked as he realised she was shivering.

"Yeah.." she lied, "Just another dream..." She placed her head on Joe's shoulder, trying to get this horrible thought out of her mind. Joe bent over her and patted her hair with a gesture that was at once protective and gentle. She looked up at him. The expression on her face changed to uncertainty...
