"Dais!"

Daisy looks up slightly absentmindedly as Davis comes rushing towards her. She was busy stuffing her books for today's last subjects into her bag. She hadn't spoken to Davis since the Mikaelson ball. She hadn't avoided him, nor had she actively contacted him.

Kol and Rebekah had pretty much demanded all of her attention the first day of school after the ball, not that Daisy was complaining. With Rebekah and Kol, she had a lot more fun than with Jason and his friends.

Looking back, she felt a little guilty for not contacting Davis when Sophie and Jason went missing, but on the other hand, she suspected that Davis knew about Sophie and Jason's relationship so she couldn't feel too bad about it. "Davis, hi." Daisy greets with a small smile.

"Can I talk to you?" Davis asks, not awaiting Daisy's answer as he forcefully drags her with him to the end of the hall.

"Davis! Let me go." Daisy whispers harshly, trying to tug her arm back. Slightly alarmed, she looks over her shoulder, hoping to catch sight of Rebekah or Kol. Davis had never hurt her in the past so she wasn't too sure what got him like this.

Daisy almost trips as Davis pushes her into an abandoned classroom. She turns around when she hears the door closing. "What do you want?!" Daisy snaps while glaring at Davis, who was blocking the door, and rubbing her sore arm. She was beginning to grow annoyed with people dragging her around.

"Someone grew a backbone this week." Davis mocks, letting out an unimpressed snicker as he looks at Daisy's attempt to appear threatening. "What I want is to know what the hell is going on."

Daisy looks at Davis uncomprehendingly, was he talking about her using magic? There was no way he could have known that.

Davis lets out an annoyed sigh upon seeing Daisy's puzzled look.

"Jason is gone as well as Sophie. No text, no nothing. What have you done?"

"Why do you think I did anything?" Daisy asks, not liking Davis's accusing tone one bit. She puts on a defiant expression, not wanting to show Davis that he intimidated her.

"We all know you were jealous of Sophie." Davis scoffs, narrowing his eyes at Daisy. He had never been particularly fond of Daisy, he tolerated her presence for Jason's sake but he had encouraged Jason to end things with the girl more than once.

"I'm not-"

"You know, Jason didn't have to hook up with Sophie if you weren't such a prude." Jason taunts, stalking towards Daisy in a threatening manner.

"He would have done whatever he wanted with her anyway." Daisy retorts, trying to keep her voice even. His words stung.

Daisy slowly backs away from Davis, keeping his eyes on him at all times. She had seen him beat up plenty of guys for fun, Daisy wasn't sure if he also hit girls but she wouldn't put it above him.

"Don't tell me that their closeness didn't piss you off a little." Davis backs Daisy into the wall. "Enough to do something to them. Tell me, do your new friends know? Or did they help you?"

"I haven't done anything! Sherrif Forbes has already questioned me!" Daisy pushes at Davis's chest, wanting him out of her face.

"My dad says Forbes is a massive pushover who is willing to cover up anything that could harm her career." Davis scoffs, not moving one inch under Daisy's efforts. "Fess up."

Daisy flinches hard when Davis slams his hand into the wall beside her head. She is about to grab her necklace, hoping to save herself out of this situation when the door bursts open.

Kol speeds over to Daisy and rips Davis away from his mate. Rebekah follows swiftly. With a roll of her eyes, she closes the door behind her, there was no need for drawing unnecessary attention. In a second she is kneeling beside Davis, who had been tossed to the floor, compelling him.

"Are you alright, Angel?" Kol asks, quickly checking his mate's body for any physical injuries. He lets out a sigh of relief when he sees none and proceeds to cup her face into his hands.

Daisy nods, still somewhat frozen to the spot, overcoming the shock of the threatening interaction she had just experienced.

"You can't use your magic in public, darling." Kol warns gently, grasping Daisy's hand that was still mid-way to her necklace. He knows no one would have actually seen it if she had performed any sort of magic, but he thought it best if Daisy didn't accidentally develop a habit.

Daisy blinks, finally looking into Kol's eyes. "I'm sorry, I panicked. I thought he was going to-" Daisy stammers, not wanting Kol to be upset with her for possibly abusing her newfound powers.

"I know, it's alright." Kol pulls Daisy in for a hug. "I will make sure no one will ever harass you like that again. None of my siblings will let you get hurt." Kol promises. Not able to resist himself he plants a kiss on her nose.

Daisy nods again, a small smile on her lips. She wasn't sure if Kol would be able to keep this promise but appreciated it anyway.

"Did you think we'd forget about you?" Niklaus says in a mocking tone as he walks down the stairs, grinning broadly at the sight of Sage, chained up and miserable. She scowls at him, which only amused Niklaus further. He would give her a real reason to scowl for harming his mate.

"I'm surprised, I was certain the elitist bitch would be the one to torment me." Sage mutters, voice croaky. She hadn't been down here for long but not able to feed after reviving had made her feel fatigued.

Niklaus lets out a chuckle. Insulting his family while she was already in a lot of trouble, he hadn't expected anything less from the woman. It only added to his fun.

"No, our dear sister has other duties to fulfill." Elijah replies coldly, stepping forward and gazing interestedly at the arrangement of devices that adorned the back wall of the basement. "Do not worry Sage, we will keep you occupied."

"What did you do to him?" Daisy asks softly as she and Rebekah are in the toilets. Rebekah was busy fixing her lipgloss and Daisy had fixed her hair which had come undone from her braid.

"Nothing worrisome, dear. Just told him to fuck off and to leave you alone from now on." Rebekah replies, shooting Daisy a wink. She really did tell Davis to leave Daisy alone, but she had also ordered him to start walking and to never stop, not for food, pee breaks, or sleep. She was certain he would be dead by next week, hopefully far away from Mystic Falls.

Daisy wasn't exactly encouraged by the wink but decides to accept Rebekah's answer, already happy Davis didn't get murdered on the spot. Kol had looked furious when bursting into the classroom and it had scared her a little. Daisy didn't expect him to hurt her, but she did worry for Davis's life. She remembers how the Mikaelson men had looked while covered in blood and she knew they had probably done some horrible things in their lives.

Frowning Daisy looks back up to Rebekah, who was pulling a silly face at her reflection. "Do you know what happened with Sage?"

Rebekah scowls at the mention of the redhead. "She has been taken care of." She replies cryptically while closing her makeup bag. She puts on a bright smile and grabs hold of Daisy's hand. "Come, Daisy. Kol is waiting for us."

"Finn!" Sage manages to crack a smile as Finn enters the basement, joining his younger brothers. His brothers had been at it for a couple of hours and he decided to see what they had been up to.

Sage's arms had been broken in several places and set in a way that made them heal in the wrong directions. In a quite artistic way, several stakes were protruding from her body, some closer to the heart than others. The overall image was quite disturbing.

"Finn, my love. Free me and we can be together again. We can get away from these monsters!" Sage sounded desperate which was how she was feeling right now. Not only did the two Mikaelson brothers inflict bodily harm on her, but they also felt the need to taunt and mock her at every turn.

After hours of torture, Sage still couldn't understand why she was being punished so. She understood by now that the human girl means something significant to the Mikaelsons. She knew from contacts that the Mikaelsons often kept female company, but these were often replaced or killed by the Mikaelsons themselves, she didn't understand what made Daisy different from her predecessors.

"Do not call my family monsters, Sage." Finn growls. All love he had for this woman had disappeared the moment he met his Daisy. The feelings he harbored for Sage in the past paled to the emotions he experienced every time he was near his mate. Although it was not yet certain whether Daisy would reciprocate his feelings, he preferred that uncertainty over a sham relationship with Sage. He would rather have his heart broken by Daisy a thousand times than choose to bind himself to Sage for even the shortest amount of time.

"Why-why are you choosing their side? Why are you abandoning me?" Sage holds back a cry of desperation. She had waited 900 years for his return and now that dream was shattered, and not even by his controlling siblings but by Finn himself. Perhaps he had been motivated by Niklaus and Elijah, they must have encouraged him to act this way, to renounce her in such a crude manner. She always knew Finn's younger siblings had a hold on him but she didn't think it would be this bad.

"Because they are my family." Finn replies shortly. He hesitates for a moment, uncertain if he should notify Sage with the news that he had found his mate, but decides he could tell her seeing as Sage wouldn't come out of here alive. "You harmed my mate."

Sage's eyes widen dramatically as she looks at Finn in horror. "Mate? As in soulmate?"

"Yes, Sage." Elijah confirms. "Daisy is our mate." Elijah can't stop himself from smiling, how he loved to hear those words, even from his own mouth. He couldn't wait until he could call Daisy his mate in her presence, for her to acknowledge their connection.

"You and Finn share a mate?" Sage looks confused, she didn't understand how people could share a soulmate. It was bad enough that the girl had stolen her Finn, but now she also had to get involved with another Mikaelson.

"No, Finn, Elijah, Kol, and I do." Niklaus corrects, rolling his eyes at being left out of the equation. Even if Sage was about to get brutally murdered, he would like to have everyone's facts straight.

"No-no it can't be... Finn! They are lying to you, they always have! That bitch-"

"It would be best for you to refrain from further insulting my mate and my family." Finn snarls after giving a hard yank at one of the stakes that stuck out from Sage's abdominal region.

"This has gone on long enough, what shall we do now?" Elijah asks in a bored fashion.

"Might I suggest a fun little something we haven't done in a while?" Niklaus offers with a tone of nonchalance. He takes a step towards Sage, who to his pleasure, cowers away as best as possible.

"Of course, Niklaus. What did you have in mind?" Finn replies, smirking at Niklaus who looked a little too eager for his own good. Finn was all too impatient to get rid of this threat and who was he to keep his brother from having fun?

"The blood eagle." Niklaus grins menacingly at Sage, who pales at his words.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Daisy looks worriedly at her mother who wore a troubled expression.

Daisy's mother looks up at her daughter, slightly distracted, her phone still in her hand. "I got a call from Mrs. Fell. They closed the case... there will be a funeral with an empty casket next week." Daisy's mother sighs, carefully gauging Daisy's reaction.

Daisy's mother didn't want to trouble her daughter with the disturbing details. Sherrif Forbes had told Jason's mother that Jason and Sophie's remains had been found in a forest a few miles away. He had been eaten by wild animals. "I'm sorry honey, although I did not like him, he-"

"It's okay mom. He didn't deserve to die, but we can't change it." Daisy smiles gently at her mother, not really understanding how she could be this calm upon learning of Jason's death. Perhaps it had something to do with the revelation of the supernatural. After learning that the Mikaelsons were pretty much serial killers she looked at life and death from a different perspective. Perhaps it was selfish of her, but as long as her mother was safe, she was happy.

"You're a lot more relaxed than I would have expected." Daisy's mother remarks. She wondered why Daisy was being so laconic but then recalled that this village has seen several deaths in recent years including Jenna Sommers, Zach Salvatore, Vicki Donovan, Mayor Lockwood, and Logan Fell. She and her daughter had been to plenty of funerals and she understood that it perhaps was just another death for her daughter.

Wanting to break the tension Daisy's mother grins at her daughter. "Does this have to do with a certain new family?" Daisy's mother waggles her eyebrows suggestively at her daughter.

"Perhaps... they are very good friends." Daisy smiles fondly. She wasn't going to mention to her mother how they had saved her today and had helped her with her newfound magic.

"Hmm, friends. Honey do we need to have the talk?" Daisy's mother puts on a serious expression but her eyes were still gleaming with joy.

Daisy, who had just been halfway to stuffing a lemon tart in her mouth looks at her mother. "I'm sorry?"

"The safe sex talk?" Daisy's mother whispers as if scared the priest would run into their home at any given moment.

Daisy turns bright red and starts waving her arms in a refusing manner. "No, no you already did that when I started dating Jason."

"Hmm, yes but that had only been for hetero intercourse, I have taught you nothing about female on female-oh god, does that make me a bad mother?" Daisy's mother's eyes widen and she places a hand on her chest. "Shoot, I should have prepared you for this. Do you think Rebekah already knows how? We can totally invite her-"

"No, that does not make you a bad mother. You're a great mother, but I'm good, thanks." Daisy places her hands on her mother's face to get her attention. "I don't think anything will transpire between me and Rebekah except for friendship?" Daisy laughs a little, not wanting to imagine having to invite her friend over for a lesson in sex-ed. She was certain the vampire knew all about that business.

"Are you sure, sweetie? Because I would totally understand and-"

"I love you, so much and as soon as something happens between me and Rebekah, you will be the first one to know and we can even watch those awful sex-ed videos you wanted to show me three months ago." Daisy rambles, hoping to put an end to her mother's crazy plans. The last thing Daisy wanted was for her mother to play matchmaker between her and her new friends.

"This was fun," Niklaus remarks contentedly, looking at his handy work with a proud smile. Sage had passed out a while ago and all that could be heard was the soft conversation between Finn and Elijah. They were busy discussing their weekend plans with Daisy. They had of course participated in Sage's torture, but mostly Niklaus relished in this particular gore. "But we have to visit our mate in a few." For dramatic purposes, Niklaus flicks his wrist and looks at his watch, which was covered in blood, just like his clothes, face, and hands.

"Very well, Niklaus. Go clean up, Finn and I will finish up here." Elijah hums, giving Niklaus a nod as he walks past them.

"I wish I could judge you for your poor taste in women before our Daisy, but I fear I am not much better." Elijah remarks, making a disapproving noise.

"The doppelganger?" Finn asks airily while appreciating the way Sage's back tries to heal over the gaping holes where her ribs stood out.

"Yes, until recently I surely would have fallen for Katerina's betrayal again." Elijah scowls a little at his own naivety. "Not to worry though. If the doppelganger tries anything she will suffer the same fate as Sage here."

Finn nods, knowing Elijah like him would do anything to protect Daisy. He crouches down beside Sage, who was beginning to regain consciousness. Finn looks up at Elijah, eyebrows raised in question, silently asking if his brother wanted to assist him in the actual execution.

At Elijah's encouraging nod, Finn takes hold of Sage's heart, which wasn't too difficult, and tears the organ out before Sage could start screaming again.

Finn gets back to his feet and looks on as his ex-lover turns grey. "What about cannoli? Do you think Daisy would like that?" Finn asks after unceremoniously dropping Sage's heart to the floor.

"Ah yes, that could be very nice, perhaps Pastéis de Nata as well." Elijah agrees thoughtfully before offering Finn his handkerchief.

"Hey guys." Daisy greets cheerfully when she sees the Mikaelsons entering the Grill, again. She would almost think she had a bunch of bodyguards. Every shift the Mikaelsons would visit her, she wondered if they had nothing better to do than sit and chat with her while she did her chores, but she appreciated their company anyway.

Matt and she were a little more distant these days. Matt and his friends kept trying to get her to talk about her friendship with the Mikaelsons, which Daisy didn't appreciate. If they really wanted to know more about the family, they had to ask for themselves.

"Daisy!" Kol greets enthusiastically, practically skipping towards his mate.

"Hello Daisy." Elijah greets, also cheerful, but less exuberant than his little brother. He refrained himself from rolling his eyes at Kol, his little brother got to spend the entire day with his mate, surely he could tone it down a little.

"Your regular order?" Daisy asks as all the Mikaelsons got seated at the bar.

"Yes please, love." Niklaus replies. "We heard what happened today..." Niklaus trails off, not wanting to say something that might upset his mate. In his eyes, Rebekah's punishment for Davis had been far too mild.

"It's alright. Rebekah and Kol saved me." Daisy forces a smile, not wanting to comment on how she hadn't seen Davis in her last class or on the field for after-school practice.

Finn scoffs at Kol's puffed-out chest and arrogant expression. He too would have saved Daisy if he wasn't busy killing his ex. "Daisy, what is your opinion on cannoli?" Finn asks, eager to get his mate's attention.

"I love those." Daisy replies, grinning at Finn. He hadn't exactly been smooth in changing the subject which she thought was adorable. She shakes her head a little, she couldn't call a thousand-year-old vampire adorable, right?

"Daisy, may I have a refill, please?" Elijah asks. Kol had run off for a 'real drink' with Rebekah, and Niklaus and Finn decided to take a quick stroll. He had been assigned to keep an eye on their mate, which he did not mind one bit. Any alone time with Daisy was welcome.

"Of course." Daisy smiles at Elijah and finishes up a drink for another customer first before walking over to Elijah. "Do your siblings also want a refill?" Daisy asks as she sees the abundance of empty glasses. She wasn't sure where they had run off to, but seeing as their belongings were still there she wasn't too worried.

"Yes please." Elijah nods appreciatively. "Tell me, Daisy. Do you like working here?" He inquires carefully. He and his siblings had come to the agreement it would be best if Daisy were to quit her job at the Grill. They didn't enjoy the thought of her being harassed in their absence, much less so by nosy vampires.

"I like it alright, keeps me busy." Daisy shrugs, not wanting to complain to Elijah about the downsides of her job. She liked it well enough to keep working there, besides that, it paid more than babysitting. Daisy had calculated that if she continued to work like this, she would have collected most of her college tuition for her freshman year at Whitmore college.

"Really? Because I can imagine-" Elijah's sentence is cut off as he starts to cough violently. He keeps his gaze down as he tries to collect himself, acutely aware of the dark veins dancing beneath his eyes.

"Elijah?!" Daisy calls in an alarmed voice. She looks up and sees Damon looking interestedly at her and Elijah. Frowning slightly she quickly walks from behind the bar to Elijah, tugging him by his arm to get him outside for some fresh air. She could care less if Matt got pissy at her for abandoning her post, her friend was hurt.

"Are you alright?" Daisy whispers, looking worriedly at Elijah, who was still doing his best to hide his transformed face. As soon as they are outside Elijah lets himself lean against the cool wall outside.

"Yes, dear. Thank you." Elijah replies, turning his head to look at Daisy. His mate looked worried for him, which he appreciated immensely. He presses a swift kiss to her temple.

"What happened?" Daisy asks, thankful for the dimly lit alley as it hid her blush.

"Someone put vervain in the bottle." Elijah replies, holding back a growl at the idea of getting tricked. He had no trouble guessing a certain blond football player had something to do with it.

"Who would do such a thing?" Daisy asks. The Mikaelsons had told her that they had quite the collection of enemies, but she didn't expect any of them to come to Mystic Falls just to poison Elijah.

"I would."
