This is my first Song fic, I hope you enjoy. It is supposed to be Kairi's perspective, when she awaits Sora's return.
You can read this ficlet without the music, but I find it extremely hard to get the full effect. So I believe you should download the song, or break out the CD player/I-pod, and listen and read at the same time. I know I'm strange. But I wrote this songfic, so its insync with the actual song. Well enjoy.
Disclaimer: I don't own the song "I'm Going Under" by Evanescence. Or Kingdom Hearts.
I lay there on the cold, dirt floor, staring at the chalk drawings covering the walls.
"Where are you?" I whisper.
The echoing of the falls replied to my question.
Screaming, Deceiving and Bleeding for you
And you still won't hear me
I'm going under
I want to scream at him. I want to plead. But there is nothing that I can do.
Nothing I can do to change it, nothing I can do to help it. I try to live, but I find, that I can't breathe.
Not tormented daily defeated by you
Just when I thought I'd reached the bottom
I find that I'm falling. And you aren't there to pick me up.
"Where are you?" I cry, "Where are you?" I scream.
Still all I hear is the rush of the wind, and the tide of the ocean.
I'm going under
Drowning in you
I'm falling forever
I've got to break through
I'm going under
"No, I won't. I can't live like this." I run to the wooden door.
And my nails scratch the surface. "How could you?" I cried once more.
"Why won't you come home?"
Always confusing the thoughts in my head
So I can't trust myself anymore
The crash of waves hit the sand, my temper grew worse.
"I thought you loved me." I felt the blood dripping from my finger tips.
"Come back to me." I whisper.
I'm going under
Drowning in you
I'm falling forever
I've got to break through
'I'm sorry.' I heard a voice say, but I ignored it.
Scream at me I'm so far away
I won't be broken again
I lay again on the floor.
I could feel his hand gripping mine.
"Sora?"
But there was no answer.
I held my hands to my chest. And his voice spoke again,
'I will always love you.'
"No matter what?" I spoke to no one.
'No matter what.'
I stood, staring into the small, window-shaped gap in the rocky ceiling.
My hair grazed my shoulders.
"Hurry."
Reviews are lovely.
