Finished Sonic Frontiers. And as nervous as I was about them drastically changing the playstyle of Sonic games...This. Is. AMAZING. Easily the best Sonic game I've played since Generations. I know that's not saying much but seeing Sonic games becoming good again fills me with hope for the future. What's that? Why am I bringing this up on my Fanfiction page? Let's just say the game also provided some...inspiration if you will...

Michael and his allies from the Pokemon Lab were unable to purify Plusle and Minum. While waiting for Nett to reply to their request for aid and Lovrina to analyze what they learned, the party heads to Agate Village to find the Relic Stone, another means of purification.

Wes' bike blazed through the sands of Orre. Michael was riding a hovering scooter next to him. Takumi and Keisuke rode on Rapidmon. Nokia, Kyoko and Date rode on Omnimon. Ami and Yu rode Sunflowmon. Yuuko, Fei and Yuugo were on RizeGreymon. Ryuji and Arata were on Darkdramon. Sven was on Luxray, Rand was on his Digimon partner who Digivolved to Crowmon, Wendy rode on her Staraptor, Chitose rode on Summer's while carrying Pichu, and finally, Hudiemon flew next to them. "Man, this region sure has a lot of sand." Chitose said.

"Yeah. Most of Orre is desolate." Wes said. "That's why most people consider it a "backwater region"."

"That seems a little harsh." Keisuke said.

"It's mostly open land and sand with a few small towns scattered here and there. And unlike most regions Orre doesn't have a Pokemon League."

"Pokemon League? What's that?" Ryuji asked.

Michel looked at him in surprise. "You seriously don't know?"

"Oh, right. You've only been to Oblivia, Almia and very briefly Kalos." Wes said. "Makes sense they never heard of it. The Pokemon League is a corporation that organizes Pokemon Tournaments. Many regions such as Kalos, Jhoto, Kanto and Hoenn have one. Each league consists of eight Gym Leaders that one must beat to obtain Gym Badges. Then you go to the region's Pokemon League and face off against their Elite Four. Then if you win you can face the Region's Pokemon League Champion for their title."

"Hey, come to think of it…" Rui said. "While we were waiting for you at the Booker Bureau, Emma said she was friends with Kalos' Champion."

"Oh yeah!" Ami smiled. "She had a picture on her desk with them, Looker and that Doctor that built her suit!"

"Is that so?" Wes asked. "Well anyway, Orre has nothing like that. If fact, there aren't even that many wild Pokemon in Orre. Most Pokemon Trainers have were imported from other regions."

"That's kinda sad…" Wendy murmured.

"That's why people don't think much of Orre." Michael replied.

"Then it makes sense that Cipher can move so freely around here." Kyoko said. "I bet the outside world doesn't take much notice to what goes on in this region."

"That's part of why I want to continue my dad's work. To make more people acknowledge Orre. To make it better."

Wes smiled. "Kid, you're a bigger person then me, you know that?"

"Huh?"

"You want to improve Orre. I just left it to look for more adventure."

"Rui said you went around hunting people misusing Pokemon to make up for your past." Hudiemon said.

"Past?" Michael asked.

"Ancient history kid. Anyway, that was just part of it." Wes said. "Truth be told, I kinda just got bored. Rui stuck with me because she wanted me to teach her how to be a Trainer."

"Did you try to take on a Pokemon League in another region?" Yu asked.

"Not really. Rui and I fought some Gym Leaders around the world and collected their badges. But we never fought any Elite Four or Champions."

"Huh? Why not?" Date asked.

"Being the Champion of a region means staying in it. Not really my style."

"You're a funny guy." Chitose said. "Maybe someday you and Rui should settle down, live an easy life together!"

Rui's face turned red. "W-what do you mean by that?!"

"Aww! She's shy!" Nokia teased. Everyone laughed as more greenery appeared.

"We're getting close to Agate Village." Michael said.

"So, what's this place like?" Yuugo asked.

"Agate is where most people in Orre retire." Rui said. "It's a peaceful place and has the most nature in the region."

"Your grandparents live here, Rui?" Rand asked.

"Yup. Grandpa Eagun was once the strongest Trainer in Orre, if not the world. He's retired now, but he's in great shape for his age."

"The old man's still skilled too." Wes said. "Though he's pretty bad with technology."

"Did he send you guys a blank email too?" Michael chuckled.

"Something like that…"

Rui pointed at the bridge leading to a hill. "Look! There it is!"

One by one they came to a stop. The Digimon returned to Rookie forms. "Better hid the Digimon this time." Rand said. "We don't want to spook the elderly."

"Good point." Arata said as they all withdrew their Digimon into the Digivices and in Rand's case his Styler.

As the team walked across the wooden bridge, they looked around. A splashing waterfall was nearby. "Wow. This place is beautiful…" Ami breathed.

"So, where do your grandparent's live?" Erika asked.

"On a house in a tree at the top of this village." Rui said. "Though I don't know if there will be enough space for all of us in there…Why don't Michael, Wes and I bring them outside the house, and we'll introduce all of you."

"Sounds like a plan." Ryuji said. "Lead the way, Rui."

They walked up the hill of the village and stopped in front of a house at the top of the village. Rui knocked on the door. "Come in." An elderly woman's voice said.

Rui opened the door and entered with Wes and Michael who closed it behind them. They walked into the living room where two elders sat at a couch. "Grandma! Grandpa!"

The two of them looked up. "Oh! Rui!" the woman smiled. "It's been too long! Are you and Wes doing well?"

"More or less." Wes replied.

Eagun stood up. "It's very good to see you both again! Oh! Michael! You're here too!"

"Hi, Eagun! Beluh!" Michael spotted the Pokemon nearby. "And Pikachu! How's it going bud!"

"Pika, pika!"

"I hear you've been studying hard Michael." Eagun said. Before looking at his granddaughter and her companion. "So, Wes, Rui, how are you travels around the world going? Anything exciting happen?"

"Actually, it's something that happened on our journey that brought us back here." Wes said. "I'm afraid we have some bad news. Cipher is making another comeback."

"What?! Again?!"

"I'm afraid so." Rui replied. "They were in Kalos kidnapping Pokemon Rangers to turn their Pokemon into Shadow Pokemon. What's more is something odd is going on with these new Shadow Pokemon."

Michael nodded. "Not only are they immune to the Purify Chamber's effects, but they won't obey Wes at all even though he snagged them. They're completely wild."

"That doesn't sound good. So, I take it you're here to give the Relic Stone a whirl?" Eagun asked.

"Well, that and I wanted to see you again." Rui smiled.

Eagun laughed as he stood up. "Well, despite the news of Cipher's return, you three made my day. I'll let the villagers know to let you through."

"We'll go with you." Wes said. "We have some introductions to make as well. Cipher weren't the only ones we found in Kalos."

"We'll see you later grandma!" Rui waved.

Beluh nodded. "Be safe now!"

"Okay, let us be off. Come along Pikachu!" Eagun opened the door and came face to face with Keisuke and the others. "Oh! Hello. Are you Rui's new friends?"

"Yes sir." Ami nodded. "You're Rui's grandpa, right?"

"Indeed." Wes replied. "This is Eagun. He's made it his personal duty to protect Agate and its citizens. We explained the bit about Cipher. But I'll leave it to you weather or not to tell him the rest."

"We'll cross that bridge later." Rand said. "Nice to meet you Eagun. I'm Rand, a Pokemon Ranger from Oblivia. These are Elite Rangers Sven and Wendy."

"I'm Kyoko Kuremi. A humble detective. These are my assistants Takumi and Ami Aiba and their friends Nokia, Arata, Yuuko, Yuugo, Fei, and Makikio. Over there is Ryuji and his team of handymen, Keisuke, Erika, Chitose, and Yu."

"A pleasure everyone." Eagun said. "I am Eagun and this is my lifetime partner Pikachu."

Nokia smiled. "Hey, look Pichu! One of your kind!"

Ukulele Pichu hobbled up to Pickachu. "Pichu?"

"Pikachu!" the Pokemon smiled.

"Pi!" Pichu strummed his ukulele. Pikachu laughed.

"Well, isn't that rare!" Eagun smiled. "A Pokemon musician!"

"He's Ukulele Pichu." Takumi replied. "He's the Partner Pokemon of Ben Natsuya, who was kidnapped by Cipher along with a few other Rangers."

"I see. That is terrible to hear. I've been told they've been turning Rangers' Pokemon into Shadow Pokemon."

Michael took out two Pokeballs. "I have a Plusle and Minun that were turned. Let's take them to the Relic Stone."

"Of course. Everyone, follow me!"

Eagun lead the group through a cave that brought them out to a clearing. Sunshine glowed down on they as a strange stone pillar was seen in the center of the platform they stood on. "Is that it?" Yu asked.

"Yup." Wes replied.

"Interesting architecture." Kyoko said. "So, this is what you used before the Purify Chamber was invented."

Michael opened Plusle and Minun's Pokeballs in front of the stone. They stood still for a moment before they turned around and growled at him. The pounced towards him. "Michael, look out!" Arata shouted.

"Pika!" Eagun's Pokemon zipped into Plusle then Minun with Quick Attack, knocking them down long enough for Michael to withdraw them into their Pokeballs.

"It didn't work…" Rui sighed. "If only we had a Time Flute…"

"What's a Time Flute?" Michael asked.

"You never used one Michael? I guess we used them all…It's special flute that Wes and I received from Vander. It let us summon a special Pokemon when played here that could instantly purify a Shadow Pokemon."

"That sounds amazing. Sure wish I knew about that during my scuffle with Cipher."

"Like Rui said, we likely used them all." Wes replied. "After a Time Flute is played it turns into dust. We only ever found three."

"What was this Pokemon that they called?" Yuugo asked.

"A legendary Pokemon named Celebi."

"Did you just say Celebi?!" Ami asked in shock.

"Amazing right?" Rui asked. "Actually, this Relic Stone was here to honor Celebi. It had such a peaceful presence. I wish you could have seen."

"We have!" Rand replied. "Celebi helped us a lot in Oblivia!"

"You met Celebi too?!"

"Well, Sven and I haven't." Wendy replied. "But these guys and our missing friends were in Oblivia when some crazy stuff happened. Celebi lent them it's power then."

"If these flutes and this stone are connected to Celebi, then Ravio might have been here." Takumi added.

"Who's Ravio?" Wes asked.

"The Hero of Oblivia." Rand said. "Many years ago, an Evil Ruler tried to conquer Oblivia with a fortress that floated in the sky. The hero Ravio along with his partner Celebi and many others he befriended stopped him and sealed the fortress away."

"A hero, huh?" Eagun asked. "Perhaps this Ravio indeed had something to do with the Relic Stone and the Time Flutes."

"It is possible." Ami replied.

"Well, if the Relic Stone won't work on these new Shadow Pokemon and all the Time Flutes are gone, I guess our only option is to wait for Lovrina to find something." Fei said.

"It's annoying, but I guess we have no other choice." Erika replied. "Maybe I can help them."

"So, what's this about more to the story?" Eagun asked.

"We believe Cipher is collaborating with someone." Wendy replied. "And as crazy as it sounds, we think they came from another world."

"Another world? Are you certain?"

"Other worlds do exist." Takumi said. "My friends and I are living proof. We also came from another world."

"Really?"

"And in case our word isn't enough for you…" Ryuji held out his Digivice and Monodramon came out.

"Greetings. I am Monodramon. A resident of the Digital World."

Eagun shuddered. "Goodness me! I've seen a lot back in my day, but a talking Pokemon?!"

"That's not a Pokemon grandpa." Rui said. "It's called a Digimon. Takumi and his friends say they come from different world form ours and theirs."

"Amazing…Well I suppose it makes sense to believe it's not from this world, that's for sure."

Michael's PDA pinged and he opened it up looking at a email. "I got a reply from Nett! He said he can meet us at his place around 3PM."

"That's only a couple hours from now." Wes replied. "We should hurry to Pyrite Town."

"I see." Eagun nodded. "I don't know what Cipher is planning this time. I can only wish you good luck."

"Thank you, grandpa." Rui gave him a hug. "Sorry we have to leave so soon. Say goodbye to grandma for me."

"I will Rui. You are all welcome to see us any time."

"We'll see you around Eagun." Wes said.

"Take care." Michael waved. "Come on guys."

Eagun waved the team off as they left. "Be careful! Save your friends and put an end to those Cipher fiends!"

"Pika!" Pikachu waved.

Wes' motorcycle stopped in front of a rundown looking town along with Michael's scooter. One by one the Digimon followed and hid in the Digivices. "Man, this place looks…er…" Chitose struggled to find the words. "What's a nice way to put this?"

"Yeah, this is part of why people think Orre is a backwater Region." Wes replied.

"This is probably the biggest city it has to offer, but the only places of much interest nowadays are the ONBS Building and the Pyrite Colosseum." Michael added. "This place is also known for attracting a shady crowd."

"Well, well." A man with green hair approached them. "Look who's finally returned."

"You weren't kidding." Nokia muttered.

"Nah, Cail's mostly harmless." Rui replied.

"Hey now. Is that any way to talk to the gatekeeper of Pyrite Town? But never mind that, I haven't seen you two in a while. Oh hey, Michel. Didn't recognize you with the lab coat there."

"It's…kinda complicated." The boy replied.

"We've been keeping busy." Wes replied. "Actually…running into you might be a stroke of luck."

"Oh yeah?"

"You always were a source of info for us. You wouldn't happen to know anything about Cipher returning, would you?"

"What? Those chumps are at it again?" Cail scratched the back of his head. "Sorry, as much as I'd like to help, I got nothing. If they really are making a comeback, they've been doing a good job keeping a low profile. Probably trying to be a whole lot more cautious after getting beat twice. Although…I do happen to know a thing or two about two Trainers who've been hanging around here lately. With strange Pokemon."

"Strange Pokemon?" Michael asked. "You mean Shadow Pokemon?"

"I dunno if they're Shadow Pokemon, but get this. They talk."

"What? Are you serious?" Rand asked.

"Bizarre, ain't it? But It's the truth. Saw them myself."

Takumi whispered to Wes. "I think they might be Digimon."

"Could one of them be the Malevolent Fist?" Keisuke murmured. "Then who does that make the other?"

"Where do we find these Trainers?" Sven asked.

Cail grinned. "Sorry pal, but my info ain't for free."

"You're asking for compensation?" Wendy asked.

"Something like that."

"Like I said earlier, Rui and I had to rely on this guy for info in the past." Wes said. "But he'd only give it to us if I beat him in a battle."

"Bingo." Cail tossed a Pokeball up and down in his hand. "So, who's it gonna be?"

"Michael, you go."

"Huh? Why me?"

"I want to see this ability of yours that defeated Cipher firsthand."

"Alright then…" Michael stepped forward.

Cail took out a second Pokeball. "It's been a while since we last tussled. Alright, let's get it on!"

Everyone else backed away as Michael got two Pokeballs out. "Go, Jolteon! Ursaring!"

"Houndoom, Shiftiry, let's go!" Four Pokemon emerged, ready to fight.

"Two Pokemon each?" Wendy asked.

"In Orre, all battles are Double Battles." Rui said. "Two on two format."

Wes folded his arms. "Interesting. Michael also uses a Eevee evolution."

"Shiftry, Sunny Day!" Cail's Pokemon cried out and the sun's rays intensified.

"Jolteon, Pin Missile!" Michael's Pokemon shot green pins into Shiftary, doing significant damage.

"Oh, ho! First strike eh? Okay Houdoom, you're turn! Flamethrower!" Cail's other Pokemon spewed a blazed at Jolteon.

"Ursaring, use Return!" Michel's second Pokemon shoulder charged Houdoom, knocking it a good distance. "Jolteon, Double Kick!"

Jolteon charged at Houdoom and thrusted it's hind legs into it. The Pokemon was knocked out. "Not bad." Cails returned it to it's Pokeball. "But here's where it get's interesting. Go, Granbull!" His third Pokemon appeared. "Brick Break!" It charged at Ursaring and hand chopped it. "Shiftiry, SolarBeam!" His other Pokemon fired a laser at Ursaring knocking it out. "Ha! One down!"

Michael sighed and withdrew his Pokemon. "Okay…" he took out another Pokeball. "I guess this'll be this one's first battle…Go Shaymin!"

Yuuko froze. "What?" A green adorable white and green Pokemon emerged.

Cail eyed it. "Oh? That's a new one."

"I was requested by someone to raise this Pokemon." Michael replied.

Yuuko stepped forward. "Shaymin?!"

The Pokemon twitched and turned around. "Shay?" it spotted Yuuko and smiled. "Shaymin!" It hobbled over to her and stood at her feet smiling. "Shaymin!"

"Aww! It remembers you!" Nokia giggled.

"Shaymin?" Michael stared at it. "You know Yuuko?"

"Yuuko, Fei, Rand and a friend of ours rescued it from Pokemon Pinchers back in Oblivia." Yuugo replied. "We decided it would be best to send it to a Pokemon Trainer, so we asked Ranger Union to find someone. I guess they chose you."

"Just like me and Wes with Heatran and Manaphy." Rui added.

Yuuko patted its head. "It's good to see you again Shaymin."

"Yeah, not to interrupt your reunion but we're kinda in the middle of something over here!" Cail said tapping his foot impatiently.

"Oh, right, sorry." Michael said. "Hey, Shaymin, we have a battle going on here. You can catch up with Yuuko and her friends when we're done, I promise."

"Shaymin!" Shaymin hobbled back to the battle next to Jolteon. "Shaymin!"

"Uh, can that little guy even fight?" Chitose asked.

Michael fished into his pocket. "Sure, it can. And Shaymin wasn't the only thing the Ranger Union sent me." He took out a gorgeous flower.

"Is that a Gracidea flower?" Rand asked.

Michael kneeled down and held it out. "Ready Shaymin?"

"Shaym!" The Pokemon dashed over and touched the flower. And in a burst of light, it transformed. "Miiiiiiiiiiiiin!"

"What just happened?!" Sven asked. "It changed!"

"This is Shaymin's Sky Form." Kyoko replied.

"It's gorgeous." Rui breathed.

Fei smiled and folded her arms. "Wait'll you see it in action."

"Shaymin, Air Slash!" Michael's mythic Pokemon took flight and zoomed into Shiftary. With that hit it went down.

"Gah! Man, that thing's fast and strong! Alright then…" Cail withdrew Shiftary. "Last one. Go, Gardivior!" He sent out a humanoid Psychic Pokemon out last. "We're gonna have to take that Shaymin down or this'll be a short fight! Granbull, Shadow Ball!" One of his Pokemon shot a purple orb at Shaymin, who flew away. "Gardivior, Ice Punch!" His other Pokemon teleported in front of Shaymin and it's fist glowed blue as it punched the Pokemon in the face. It crashed into the ground. "Now, finish it off!"

"Jolteon, Thunderbolt!" Michael's other Pokemon blasted them with lightning, giving Shaymin time to recover. "Now Seed Flare!"

"SHAAAAAYMIN!" The Pokemon erupted with green light that engulfed Granbull and Gardivior, toppling both of them.

"Daw, nuts!" Cail sighed. "That's one tough Pokemon. Ah well. A loss is a loss." He handed Michael some money.

"What's that about?" Arata asked. "They didn't make a bet."

"It's part of how Pokemon battles work." Wes replied. "The loser pays up."

"So, about these strange Pokemon." Sven said.

"I saw them in Pyrite Colosseum. Their Trainers have been taking part in tournaments in Orre a lot lately."

"So, what now?" Nokia asked. "Look at tournaments around Orre until we find them?"

"The only other places with tournaments are Orre Colosseum, Phenac Stadium, and Realgam Colosseum." Michael replied. "But they're kinda spaced apart. If we guess wrong on where they are, it'll be a major waste of time."

Cail grinned. "Then how about I take the guessing work out for you? I just saw both those Trainers heading towards Pyrite Colosseum before you all arrived."

"What? For real?" Keisuke asked.

"Yup. It' too late to join the tournament, they'll be in the finals by now, but I bet you can catch it on TV if you hurry."

"I see. Thanks." Wes replied. "Let's head over to Duking's place. I doubt he'll mind if we ask to watch on his TV."

"Good idea." Rui replied. "I hear he's running the Colosseum nowadays, so he might be able to tell us more."

"Alright. Lead the way, Wes." Rand said.

Michael withdrew Jolteon. "Huh? Where's Shaymin?"

"Over here." Yuugo chuckled, pointing at the Pokemon flying in circles around him, Yuuko and Fei.

"Ha, ha! He seems happy to see you guys again!"

As the group started to walk off, Cail turned to Michael. "Hey kid."

Michael stopped and looked behind him. "Yeah?"

"Have you been battling in a while? I feel like you'd normally mop the floor with me with little trouble. You better up your game if you don't want to fall behind. You don't want you're Pokemon to feel neglected."

Michael didn't respond. "Hey, Michael, you coming?" Yu hollered.

"Coming." The young Trainer hurried to catch up.

Wes and the gang stepped inside a house and they spitted a man with silver hair talking to a bulk man with a hat and a black shirt. "Silva. Duking. It's been a while."

Both of them looked at them. "Oh! Wes, Rui, is that you?!" Silva said.

"Haven't seen you two in ages!" the tall man shook Wes' hand. "How have ya been? Doin' well?"

"More or less. I hear you two have been keeping busy with new tasks."

"Yup. Silva here is taking my place as Mayor while I investigate Poke Spots. Hey, Michael! You're here too!"

"Hi guys."

"Nice coat. You doing research now?" the shorter man asked.

"Yup. Just like my dad."

Rui turned to the others. "Guys these are Silva and Duking. They helped me and Wes against Cipher in the past. Silva, Duking, these are Pokemon Rangers Rand, Sven and Wendy and their friends Takumi, Ami, Kyoko, Fei, Nokia, Arata, Yuuko, Yuugo, Keisuke, Erika, Ryuji, Chitose, Yu, and Date. They're helping us look into the possibility of Cipher returning."

"What?! Again?!" Silva gapped. "Geez, how many times do those guys need to be smacked down before they get the message?"

"What are they scheming this time?" Duking asked.

"I'll tell you later sir." Rand replied. "Listen, this is important. We heard there's a tournament going on at the Colosseum right now. Is it possible to watch it from here?"

"Uh, sure." Silva went to his desk and took out a remote. He pointed it at the TV on the wall and pressed a button turning it on. "Let's see, I think the channel for the Colosseum was…" He switched it over to a rundown looking stadium. The camera showed a shot of a Sailor with a Stantler and a Hitmontop. "There we go. You think a member of Cipher is taking part here?"

"Maybe." Kyoko replied.

The camera shifted to the opponent on the other end. It was a man with a Blaziken and a tall being with a scarf. Wes eyes the latter. "Never saw a Pokemon like that. Is that it?"

Takumi's eyes widened as he saw the Trainer. It was a blond man dressed in red. "Guys, look!"

"Is that Red Eyes?!" Yuugo asked.

"You know that guy?" Duking asked. "He's been scoring a lot of wins at the Colosseum lately."

"He used to be our enemy back in Oblivia when we fought the Pokemon Pinchers." Yuuko replied. "But he became our ally when we were dealing with Team One World."

"What's he doing here in Orre?" Date asked.

"I can't imagine." Ami replied.

"Hitmontop, Rock Smash!" the Sailor's Pokemon charged towards Blaziken.

"Blaziken, Blaze Kick!" Red Eye's Pokemon punted Hitmontop, knocking it into Stantler. "Now PileVolcamon!"

"You got it!" the other creature sprinted.

"That must be the one Cail was talking about." Rui said.

"That's PileVolcamon." Nokia replied. "I completely forgot that he stayed behind when Digimon were returned to the Digital World."

Silva looked at her. "Digimon? Digital World? What are you talking about?"

"It's a long story." Michel replied.

The Digimon shot a boulder from his back into the air and jumped up to grab it. "Volcanic Driver!" He slammed on top of the enemy Pokemon and knocked them out in a blaze of glory.

"Game set and match!" the referee declared. "Our champion, is Red Eyes!" The crowd cheered as Red Eyes, Blaziken and PileVolcamon waved to them.

"So PileVolcamon is the Digimon Cail saw." Kyoko said.

"One of them anyway." Michael said. "Any idea who the other one is?"

"I think we do. If Red Eyes is here…"

"She might be as well." Ami replied. Kyoko nodded.

"Okay, seriously, what are you talking about?" Duking asked. "Is that not a Pokemon the guy's got? I mean that would explain something, but what is it?"

Wes turned to Rand. "Do you mind?"

"If you, Rui, and Michael can all vouch for these two, then I won't object to them knowing. If anything, it may be the best to let them mayor know what's happening."

Kyoko turned to Takumi and Ami. "Why don't you two go to the Colosseum and see if you can find Red Eyes and ask what he's doing here. In the meantime, we'll bring these two up to speed."

"Okay." Takumi nodded.

"The Colosseum is on the other side of a bridge at the far end of town." Rui said. "Look for a giant, white dome." Takumi nodded before he and his siter left.

A door opened as Red Eyes returned to the front desk. Blue Eyes stood there waiting for him. "Nice work out there."

"Thanks." Red Eyes went to the front of the counter.

"Congratulations for winning the challenge! What a marvelous run of battles!" the woman at the counter slid a few bills on it. "Here is your prize money."

"Thank you kindly." Red Eyes took the money and pocketed it.

"And, as another prize, we also present you with a TM." The woman handed him a disc. "We look forward to your next challenge."

"I think we've made a good run for today." Red Eyes said.

"Agreed." Blue Eyes replied stretching out. "Let's take a breather. See how the others are doing."

"Hey Red Eyes!" Takumi hurried over towards them.

Ami was close behind. "I knew it! Blue Eyes is here too!"

Both former Pinchers were surprised. "Ami?! Takumi?!" Blue Eyes gasped.

Red Eyes grinned. "Well, I'll be." He held out his fist. "Hey there Cyber Sleuths! It's been a few months!"

Takumi fist bumped him. "Ha, ha! You haven't changed a bit Red Eyes."

Blue Eyes smiled at Ami. "You two look lively as ever. What brings you back to our world? Running through another case as always?"

"You could say that." Ami replied. "We saw Red Eyes on TV just now. What brings you two all the way out here?"

Red Eyes put his hands in his pockets. "Believe it or not, Blue Eyes and I both grew up in Orre."

"Really? I never would have guessed."

"So, is it just you two?"

"Nope!" A voice from Takumi's googles spoke. Takumi pressed a button and a image of Terriermon appeared. "Yo!"

"You got your Digimon back."

Takumi nodded. "Back in our world we found a way to connect humans and Digimon where we're from."

"That's amazing!" Gotsumon replied from Red Eyes' Megavice.

"So that was your dream, huh?" Red Eyes asked.

"It's not over yet." Ami replied. "We're going to keep connecting people and Digimon."

"Are the others with you?" Blue Eyes asked.

"Just about everyone except Matayoshi, he's still back in our world. We're currently gathered at the mayor's house, why don't we meet up there?"

"Ain't got nothing better to do." Red Eyes replied. "Why not?"

"…and that's why we need Nett's help." Rui finished her explanation.

"I see…" Duking replied. "If Cipher is teaming up with one of these Digimon, it can't mean anything good."

"Our thoughts exactly." Wendy said.

"What concerns me are these changes to Shadow Pokemon." Silva said.

"I'm sure Nett will find something." Wes replied. "He's never let us down before. And I don't see him starting now."

Then the door opened and Takumi and Ami happily returned. "Hey guys!" Ami smiled. "Guess who we brought back!"

Red Eyes waved. "What's up everybody."

"Red Eyes and Blue Eyes. It's been a while." Kyoko said.

"We saw you on TV Red Eyes." Nokia smirked. "You kicked that guy's butt!"

"Thanks. The boys and I never stopped training."

"What are you two doing in Orre?" Ryuji asked.

"This region is where they grew up." Takumi replied.

"That's right." Red Eyes said. "I don't know how long you've been here but…Orre has always been a dull place to everyone. Blue Eyes and I were living boring lives on the streets of Pyrite City. Trainers here have to import Pokemon from other regions, but we couldn't afford that. We were always envious of stories of people from across the world meeting Pokemon and going on adventures. Then one day, we meet Purple Eyes."

"Purple Eyes was here too?" Yuuko asked. "Did he also live here?"

"Beats me." Blue Eyes shrugged. "But he offered us a position in his crew, the Pokemon Pinchers. He showed us the Control Gauntlets he used to control Pokemon and the Z.Z. Flyers. All we had to do was help him with his objectives in Oblivia. At the time, we didn't care what they were or what he wanted us to do."

"Or what people and Pokemon suffered from your actions." Arata bluntly added.

"I won't deny that."

"We were just too busy enjoying running wild and pinching Pokemon to think about the consequences of our actions." Red Eyes said. "We thought our luck would never run out…but then one day it did. We meet Ben and Takumi. And they defeated us. After that we took some time to reflect on what we had done. When Blue Eyes found out that Team One World stemmed from the actions of the Pokemon Pinchers, she decided to try to make amends for that by spying on them. After we helped you defeat them, we were right back where we started. Without a purpose."

"That can be depressing." Wes replied. "Sometimes victory is bittersweet."

"Takumi, do you remember that day when you asked for my help restoring the monuments the Pinchers damaged? You told me something that got my attention."

"Red Eyes…now that you have left the Pinchers…you should consider finding a new dream."

"A dream?"

"Yeah. Something to aspire to accomplish. Right now…me, Ami, Keisuke, Terriermon, all of us from my world and our Digimon have a dream. And when we get home, we're going to dedicate ourselves to accomplishing it."

"That does sound nice…Maybe I should think long and hard about that."

"I've been thinking on that ever since. Back when I was with the Pinchers, I was supporting Purple Eyes' dream. When I helped you fight Team One World, I was supporting your dream. It only occurred to me then that I never once had any serious ambitions to follow." Red Eyes took out his Megavice. "And then…I saw this."

Takumi read the news article the gadget displayed. "Alola Region starts it's own Pokemon League and crowns it's first Champion?"

"That's when I had an idea. If Alola can suddenly have a Pokemon League…why can't Orre?"

"You want to start a Pokemon League here?" Duking asked. "That's pretty ambitious of ya mate."

"I feel like most people here would laugh at the very though." Silva added.

"I know, it's not going to be easy." Red Eyes replied. "But I'm doing what I can. And Blue Eyes is backing me. Right now, we're winning tournaments in Orre to win money for funding and search for Trainers to become Gym Trainers and Leaders."

"And other ex-Pinchers are helping us too by searching other regions." Blue Eyes added. "One of them even went to Alola and got an interview with Professor Kukui, the man who brainstormed the Pokemon League in Alola. He was even nice enough to let her talk to the new Champion."

"And this is your dream?" Takumi asked.

"Blue Eyes and I got board of Orre. And that's what lead to us taking the wrong path." Red Eyes said. "If we can make the world acknowledge Orre, we might be able to stop others from making the same mistake."

"I think that's pretty cool of you two." Ami smiled.

"Thanks."

"Creating a Pokemon League in Orre…" Wes said. "I never even thought of that…"

"Can such a thing even happen?" Michael asked.

Blue Eyes smiled. "If Red Eyes and I learned anything during our time in Oblivia, it's that if people come together, believe in each other, and give it their all, the impossible becomes possible."

"Speaking of…" Red Eyes glanced at the two. "You're Wes Leo and Michael Ryuto, aren't you?"

"We are." Wes replied. "What of it?"

"I heard a lot about you two ever since we returned to Orre. To start a Pokemon League we need Trainers with great battle ability. When I asked around about the best in Orre, your names came up quite often."

Wes and Michael though quietly. Blue Eyes noticed something. "Wait a minute. Pichu? Staraptor? What are you two doing here without Ben and Summer?"

"Did something happen to them?" Red Eyes asked.

Takumi glanced at Rand. "Should we tell them?"

"Well…"

"Hey, come on, I thought we were friends here." Red Eyes said.

"That's somewhat debatable." Fei replied.

"Look, if something is going on, we might be able to help you." Blue Eyes said. "Come on, the Pokemon Pinchers don't exist anymore."

Rand sighed. "Well…alright."

"What?!" Red Eyes was shocked when he heard the whole story. "Ben and Summer were both abducted?!"

"I'm afraid so." Wendy replied. "So were the other Rangers we sent to look for them. We met Wes and Rui when we bumped into Cipher and found out they were taken here."

"And they turned two of your Rangers Pokemon into these new Shadow Pokemon?" Blue Eyes asked. "This is bad…"

"Do either of you know anything about Cipher?" Keisuke asked.

"Only stories about them getting crushed twice." Red Eyes replied.

Wes looked at his PDA. "It's almost time to meet Nett. We should hurry to the ONBS Building."

"ONBS?" Blue Eyes asked. "What's the news station going to do to help?"

"They're run by a group of friends of ours formerly known as the Grid Kids." Rui replied. "They helped us defeat Cipher six years ago, so we figured they can help us. After we talk to them, we're going back to the HQ Lab and will strategize our plan of attack on their lab located in the dessert."

Blue Eyes and Red Eyes glanced at each other before looking at the group. "Then we're going with you." Red Eyes said.

Everyone looked at them in surprise. "Say what?" Date asked.

"Orre is our home and Ben and Summer are our friends." Blue Eyes replied. "If Cipher thinks we're going to let them get away with messing with any of them, they're in for a unpleasant surprise."

"But…what about your dream to make a Pokemon League in Orre?" Ami asked.

"Pfft! That's not going anywhere." Red Eyes said. "Actually, if Cipher has their way, Orre may turn into something where a Pokemon League truly is impossible, and I'm not just gonna sit around and let that happen!"

Nokia smiled. "Red Eyes…Blue Eyes…Thank you. Alright. Let's give it to those Cipher freaks!"

"The ONBS Station is our next stop then?" Chitose asked. "Show us the way Michael!"

Wes turned to his friends. "Duking, Silva, make sure everyone is ready in case Cipher decides to attack Pyrite Town."

"Leave it to us mate!" Duking smiled. "If those chumps come knocking, we'll knock em silly!"

"That's right!" Silva added. "We'll protect this place, you guys bring the fight to them!"

"Stay safe you two." Michael stepped towards the door. "Okay, let's get going."
