Sunlight shone through the window as the birds chirped in the crispy morning. I was curled up in a ball next to Ahri, who stretched her arms before giving me a gentle nudge with one of the tails she had wrapped around me.

"Get up Wentao." She whispered. "Wakey wakey!"

I groaned, and clenched the tail Ahri was poking me with using my arms.

"Just five more minutes." I pleaded, looking at Ahri with puppy eyes. Ahri laughed good naturedly, before starting to tickle me.

"Alright alright! Stop!" I drawled tiredly, trying to shield myself from her hands, before getting up and stretching.

"That's a good fox." Ahri said playfully, and ceased her tickling. She got up from bed, and I followed suit. Ahri let me use the washroom first to clean up and dress before going in herself. She emerged with her usual outfit, though she had put her white cloak on once again. She walked over, slightly adjusting my green Ionian robes, before we walked downstairs for breakfast. The tables in the main dining hall had been stacked with breakfast foods.

"So what are we going to do today?" I asked Ahri as I put a waffle on my plate. "Do we just go back to the frontlines?"

"No, I don't think so." Ahri said, and smiled. "I figured if you really wish to help out, you'll need some training."

"Oh, umm I don't think that'll be necessary." I said, as images of myself running laps and doing pushups swam through my head. In one of the images, I had collapsed after barely completing five pushups and Ahri was watching nearby.

Ahri glanced at my facial expression, and I don't think she required her soul reading abilities to determine what I was thinking. She smiled, and shook her head. "No, it won't be physical training. Not exactly anyways. I've just arranged a session so you can find your strengths."

I took a bite of my food, and nodded. Although I didn't like it, I probably couldn't do any good for Ionia if all I did was hop on Ahri's back and let her do all the work. It would be even worse if I got killed by a stray animal. I shuddered at my uselessness.

Ahri shuddered slightly as she put a piece of cake into her mouth, and I realized she must not have been used to only eating regular human food. Remembering how she had no actual food in her house when I first arrived in Runeterra, I deduced that although she could still eat normal food, she doesn't really get any nutrition from it as compared to souls. Perhaps she was only eating right now at all to make me feel comfortable. I almost wanted to ask her, but decided against it at the last second. It would be much too awkward for the both of us.

I drank a few sips of juice and finished up my waffle. After the meal was finished, Ahri and I walked out of the tea house back into the morning sunlight.

"So where are we going?" I asked, glancing left and right.

"Come with me." Ahri smirked, and she led me down a nearby road. "We're going to meet up with Yasuo. He's an extremely accomplished swordsman."

"Wow." I said approvingly. "Will he teach me the wind technique and stuff?"

"Well, not really." Ahri giggled. "To be honest, I'm not exactly sure. I'm powerful, yes, but non magic combat is barely my thing. I doubt you'll be learning the wind technique, however. That would take years. Yasuo is just going to find your possible strengths."

"Where's Yone though?" I wondered. "Now that he's alive again, shouldn't he be spending time with his brother?"

"Well, Yone can't exactly show his face anywhere." Ahri explained, her golden eyes gleamed. "Not that he could, I mean, with that Azakana mask on his face. Plus he's part spirit now. I imagine he'll spend most of his time in the Spirit Realm."

I nodded, and we continued hiking down the trial. Eventually, we left the village grounds of Weh'le and Ahri took off her cloak. The wind blew in our direction, and Ahri's braided black hair danced in the wind. The red and purple braids of cloth on her robes swayed. She looked gorgeous in the morning sunlight. Birds chirped, and we saw animals in the forest dart from here and there, minding their regular business. It was difficult to imagine that just a few days away from here, a fearsome war was on the brink of manifestation.

After walking for around five minutes, the gentle sounds of a flute played in the wind. Ahri had picked up the sound as well, and she grinned.

"We're here." She announced, and we arrived at a clearing. In the middle of the clearing, was a large area of ground that was covered by a large circular stone slab, about the size of a small tennis court. Leaning against a tree at the edges of the clearing, Yasuo had his sword behind his back and was playing a bamboo flute that he might have even made himself.

Noticing our arrival, Yasuo put down his flute and waved in greeting.

"Hello Yas!" Ahri said, and she stopped at the edge of the stone circle.

"Greetings." Yasuo told us, and extended his hand. He shook hands with Ahri, then me, before drawing his sword.

"Alright darling." Ahri said, directed at me. "Go forward. It's all you from here! Good luck!"

"Thanks!" I replied, and stepped into the circle nervously.

"Alright then." Yasuo said, and picked up a sword that was much smaller than his own from the ground, alongside its sheath. He handed the weapon to me. "Here. Although you probably won't be using it much, you still need a standard tool. Just tuck it into the left side of your robes."

Yasuo demonstrated, and I followed suit. I then pulled out the weapon. Although it looked extremely cool and was surprisingly light, I felt extremely nervous with it in my hands and couldn't imagine using it.

"Next, we're going to be testing your strength, stamina, and such." Yasuo explained, before he had me put away my sword and started handing me a series of tasks. Soon, it was revealed that even though I had been transported to a different world, my physical strengths were no better than it had been when I was in my home world. Although I could perform a few hits with a sword on a practice dummy Yasuo had quickly wiped up, I would crumble from nervousness when facing Yasuo himself even though he had promised not to go too hard.

My physical stamina was next to obsolete, and Ahri helped confirm I indeed could not wield any form of spirit magic. The only thing that I was good at was my reaction and planning skills, which I credited to being a long term gamer.

"It's alright, darling." Ahri told me gently as I expressed how I wasn't good for anything. "We all have our own strengths. The most beautiful flowers sometimes take the longest to bloom."

Although I trusted Ahri with my life, I didn't really believe that.

While Yasuo was demonstrating a lightning fast combo with his sword, I felt a sudden presence behind me.

"Your form is incorrect during the final cut, brother." A voice said, and I turned unsurprised to see Yone walking out from the trees.

Yasuo stared at Yone, and smiled.

"Yet my improper form was still more than a match for you, Yone." Yasuo jeered. "Care for a rematch?"

"You may have prevailed because of the wind, yet now I have the powers of the Spirit Realm." Yone replied. "There is no honor in defeating the likes of such an unworthy enemy."

"Care for a rematch?" Yasuo smirked, and he held up his sword. "No wind, no magic."

Yone drew his sword with his right hand, before holding his left arm out and the Azakana's red blade materialized in it. A ghost of a smile danced on his lips. The brothers bowed towards each other, before dashing and striking.

The swords clung, faster than the eye could follow. Yasuo lunged at Yone before turning mid air and cleaving towards Yone's head. Yone crossed his sword and effortlessly blocked the attack, before turning and slashing at Yasuo with both blades. Yasuo dodged the attack, and rolled towards the outer parts of the circle. Spinning, he simultaneously slashed towards Yone while kicking up a large dead branch from the ground. While Yone was blocking Yasuo's sword slash, Yasuo kicked the wood toward's Yone.

Dodging just in time, Yone avoided the projectile. That's when I realized the branch was flying towards me, and judging from its angle, would embedded itself straight in my stomach.

In a split second, many things happened. Yasuo realized the new target of his branch, and slashed at the projectile. A large gust of wind was sent forth from his blade, attempting to blow the branch off it's path, but it was going to be too late. At that moment, calmness overwhelmed me. I was not going to be impaled by this rotting branch. Though I was much too slow to move out of its way, I suddenly felt a tingling sensation at the tips of my fingers. It was like an instinct, a reaction built into me ever since the first step I had taken in this new world.

I held both hands in front of me, and pushed outwards with overwhelming force. The branch stopped in midair inches from hitting me, as if it had met a barrier. The branch exploded upon impact with the invisible force, and fragments of wood splinted all over the circle. Ahri, Yasuo and Yone all stared at me while I stared at my hands, utterly bemused.

"Wentao, what was that?" Ahri hurried over worriedly. "Are you alright?"

"Ya, I guess." I muttered, while examining my fingers. "Thanks to whatever that was."

I glanced at Yasuo questionably.

"No." He shook his head. "That was not the wind technique, or any form of magic I am familiar with for that matter. Brother, do you know of this?"

"I have my assumptions." Yone replied. "Though each is equally as unlikely as the next."

"I know of it." A new, unfamiliar voice said from behind us. I glanced towards the sound, and saw Master Yi striding into the clearing.

"Ah! Good morning Yi." Ahri said. "I see you've gotten better."

"Thank you." Master Yi replied. It was impossible to tell of his facial expression from under his goggle mask. "Karma's strong spirit magic saved me. However, we must return to the matters at hand."

Master Yi turned towards me.

"Focus. Think." He told me steadily. "Did that resemble anything you recognize from your past?"

I thought, and suddenly realized he was right.

"A summoner spell!" I gasped, and surveyed my surrounding associates. Hastily, I explained to them what summoner spells were in League of Legends, as well as how each of them are used.

After many tests, I found I was capable of using flash, which blinks me in a certain direction; ghost, which allowed me to travel faster though I was still incapable of moving through people as I would in the game; heal, which healed me and somebody near me; exhaust, which pacified a target to make them much slower than weaker than they usually are; ignite, which quite literally sets a target on fire; and finally barrier, which formed a shield around me like I had just exhibited. However, I could only use each spell once, after which I would need a period of time to recharge it. Using too many spells would also make me extremely tired, as if I had just ran a few laps.

"Wow!" I said, sweating as if I had just went to the gym, yet satisfied. For quite the first time after arriving in Ionia, I didn't feel completely defenseless. "I can't wait to bash some Noxians."

Ahri smirked, and Yasuo grinned. Yone stared into the skies.

"Alright darling." Ahri said, as she walked over and protectively put two of her tails over my shoulders. "Don't exhaust yourself too much now. You're only still a little fox after all."

"I can't exhaust myself. It only works on enemies." I joked, as I was in high spirits.

Ahri laughed kindly, even though apparently no one else had found the joke to be funny.

"Well then." Yasuo decided. "It is time. Let us revisit the front lines."
