Chapter 23 – A Good Distraction
OoO
Barty was a good distraction. He let her take control over everything, from how much they interact outside of the bedroom, from when they meet and especially what she wanted in the bedroom. Barty didn't seem to mind though, he seemed to enjoy being bossed around when it came to sex.
Like right now, they were in Barty's bed, she was straddling him naked and sweating. His hands were tied up above his head, but he never looked more lust filled than now. His brown eyes were nearly black, he licked his lips as he looked up at her. His body was so familiar and safe it was easy to fall back into old habits. She was close to an orgasm as she rode him when the door opened.
"Oh, fuck, again!" Evan shouted and he walked back out.
But Izzie and Barty didn't break their gaze. Barty has learned something special when it came to the female orgasm. A spell that sends tingling feeling just at the right spot. He didn't have to use his wand or his hands, he didn't even have to speak a single word, it was marvellous! It was just what she needed. She felt her orgasm through her whole body, arching her back as she braced her hands behind her on Barty's legs. Once she came down, she started at the pace she knew would drive him to his peak in minutes.
Afterwards, she fell down next to him, and he pulled her into his chest. "Evan really has great timing." He chuckled.
"You would think he would know to knock by now." She grinned as she traced her finger over his chest. "It's like he has no sex-sense."
"Sex-sense?" He laughed.
"Like a sixth sense, but he has no feeling of when people are having sex." He laughed again and she felt his chest vibrate against her cheek. "If this gets too much, you tell me, right?"
"This will never be too much."
She pushed herself up so she could look at him, he had a small smile on his lips. "You know what I mean."
"I do, love." He kissed her lightly. "I know what this is. I don't expect more from this, don't worry. I'm quite enjoying myself." He smirked.
"I bet you do." She laughed and put her head back on his chest. His arm was around her waist, a protective hold on her.
"Now that you're off age..." He started hesitantly. "Are you going back to your father?"
"No, I'm not." She didn't even stiffen when he brought him up.
"Are you staying with Remus?"
"No, Lily's for two weeks. Then I'm staying at Reggie's place."
"You think that's smart?"
"No." She said quietly. "But the engagement is still on, and Regulus convinced them again to postpone. Don't ask me how, I have no idea. But it gives us some time and since they see me as their future daughter-in-law, they are bound to be nicer than my family, I hope."
Barty was silent for a moment, his thumb rubbing slowly on her hip. "At least you'll have Reg. Have you talked to Siriu-" He was interrupted as the door opened again. He quickly draped the blanket over the both of them.
Regulus walked in and undid the disillusionment charm that was placed over Remus. Regulus was pulling him in for a kiss, but Remus stare was fixed on them.
"Oh, don't look at me like that, Lupin! You're just about to do the same thing to my best friend." Barty said laughing.
Regulus turned red as a tomato just like Remus as they gaped at him. Remus's mouth opened and closed a few times, but no response came out. Remus looked to Izzie.
"I'm good here." She smiled a little. "You two have fun, just put a muffliato charm over the bed."
"Like you did?" Reggie grinned. "Evan started ranting again that you didn't even close your curtains."
"He should learn how to knock."
"It's his room." Regulus pointed out with a laugh. Izzie just simply stuck out her tongue. With that Reggie pulled Remus to his bed and Barty finally closed the curtains around them.
"Is it okay?" He asked, nodding his head towards the closed curtains.
"It's okay." She hummed as she snuggled in his side. The first few nights the curtains had to stay open, afraid she was trapped. But from the moment Barty, Remus or Regulus put an arm around her, she felt safe.
OoO
The next morning, the five of them walked out of the Slytherin common room. Remus again under a disillusionment charm. Evan was still grumbling about over-sexed teenagers when we reached the great hall. Remus, now very visible, had his arm wrapped around Izzie. His relationship with Reggie was not public knowledge at the moment and they would like to keep it that way. Her eyes found Sirius without her looking for him, without her wanting to see him but they still did.
"Go sit with him." She nudged Remus.
"I rather not." He grumbled.
"He's your best friend, Remus. I know you miss him. Don't ignore him on my account, this has gone on long enough. You don't need to forgive him, although I would advise you to, but just sit with him."
"What about you?"
"I have my snakes to keep me entertained." She grinned.
"That's not what I meant."
"I know." She risked a glance to Sirius, and she quickly ducked her head since his eyes were already on her. "Now, go. Kiss and make up."
"I prefer that you don't kiss my brother." Regulus scowled.
"I won't, Reggie." Remus smiled softly; his eyes full of love. "There is only one Black I like to kiss." Regulus blushed fiercely before he walked over to Slytherin table with Evan. Remus's eyes followed him.
"You know, if you keep looking at him like that, the whole school is going to know." She snickered. Remus's head snapped back, and his neck turned red. "You love him." I said softly.
"I - I -" He breathed in deep. "I think I do."
"That's great, Remus." She wrapped her arms around his neck for a sudden hug. "I'm so happy for you two."
"Don't tell him." He whispered in her hair.
"Of course not. You have to tell him yourself." She playfully slapped his chest as she pulled back. Then she pushed him towards the Gryffindor table. Then an arm snaked around her waist. She jumped a little when she thought Barty had joined the others at the table, but his breath tickled her ear.
"Oh, young love. When are you going to do something about it?"
Her eyes involuntarily found Sirius, who looked shocked as Remus sat down in front of him, but then his eyes shifted until he found her. He's eyes looked hopeful for a second, hoping she would join him too, but then he glared as he saw Barty's arm around her. She pushed Barty out of the great hall and into a secluded corner.
"What are you talking about?" She hissed.
"I think it's rather obvious." He shrugged, leaning back against the wall.
"Oh, enlighten me, great powerful Bartikkens." She snorted.
"You and Sirius are in love." He smirked.
"Love? No, we are not in love. We haven't even kissed yet."
"Since when do you need to kiss to fall in love? Did Potter and that Evans girl have to kiss before he fell madly in love with her, what like second year?"
"First year." She corrected.
"Not the point. You love him and he loves you."
"I highly doubt that. He may like me, but love is entirely different thing."
Barty smiled sadly at her and pulled her in a tight hug. "I know you've been through a lot. But trust me, that boy is madly in love with you. And you love him too. You might not be ready to admit that, you might still need to heal, but it is the truth, Belle. And how much I enjoy this -" He pulled back and gestured between them. "And it does seem to help you. But I think Black is the one to heal you."
"I can't, Barty." She shook her head. "I can't seem to get the picture of him with that girl from my head. I trusted him."
"Talk to him." He squeezed her hands. "Do it for Reg, do it for Lupin."
"I'll think about it." She muttered. "Can we have breakfast now? I had some great exercise last night and I need to strengthen up."
Barty laughed fully. She loved how she could crack the three Slytherins blank looks. He then suddenly tossed her over his shoulder and walked to the great hall.
"You're awful." She chuckled.
"Oh, you love me." Barty grinned as he tapped her bum in the middle of the great hall. She buried her head in her hands, feeling eyes on them.
"Oi! That's my fiancé!" She heard Reggie call out and she groaned. Okay, yeah, the whole school knew already but still...
Barty carefully sat her down next to Regulus/fiancé. In the corner of her eye, she could see Sirius looking at them.
OoO
"Finally!" Izzie sighed. "Some alone time with you." She fluttered her eyes excessively at the red head next to her.
"I'm sorry." Lily muttered, feeling guilty.
"It's okay, Lils. You and James are in a new relationship, it's okay to get caught up in it." She smiled, tugging on her arm. Ever since their date in Hogsmeade they been inseparable and almost nauseously in love, it was sweet.
"Are you sure you don't mind?" She asked carefully.
"No, I don't mind. I'm happy James has finally stopped pining." She laughed.
Lily hid a smirk as she glanced up at the sky. They were sitting near the black lake, enjoying the sun as school almost came to a close. "What about you and Barty?"
"I'm an engaged woman, miss Evans! What are you suggesting?" She gasped.
"That's not funny." Her lips turned into a thin line.
"I just want to see the fun side in all of this." She fell backwards in the grass. "Barty is just a stress reliever and a good friend."
Lily laid down next to her, turning her head so she could look at her. "And Sirius?"
"Sirius is ... complicated. I can't help but feel betrayed. I know that sounds stupid-"
"No, it's not stupid." Lily said fiercely. "He made you feel like he had changed, that he wasn't that guy anymore. And the next minute he fell in bed with the first girl that batted her eyes at him." She breathed in deep, trying to control her anger towards the boy. "He made a dumb and horrible mistake. But I truly believe he cares for you, a lot. These past weeks, he's been more than miserable and that was even before he found out about Crouch. He's trying to change, there may be some bumps in the road but he's trying. Have you thought about talking to him?"
"I have." She rolled on her stomach. Her eyes found the quidditch pitch where Sirius and James were flying. "Barty said something similar as you."
"Oh, Barty beat me to my little speech!" Lily grumbled with a smile.
"I'll talk to him soon, I promise." Izzie saw Lily roll on her stomach too and blushed when she saw James bare chested on his broom. "He is quite handsome, isn't he?"
"You already kissed him! Don't go gawking at my man." Lily huffed as her eyes followed James in the sky.
"Your man, huh?" She fell into a fit of laughter as Lily punched her. Her eyes found Sirius who had discarded his shirt too. His shirt was floating down from his place in the air, Peter was running around on the pitch trying to snatch it like a crazy obsessed teenage girl.
