Author's note: Hello readers! It's nice to post again, I've had this chapter in the works for like 10 days. Anyways, as always I hope you enjoy it!

I woke up the next morning satisfied about yesterday's events. It was super fun to have another playmate in the form of an energetic Arceus. Mom was fun by herself but she was only one person and there were a few games that required at least three people to play. I wondered if Mom would let other non-legendary pokemon come and play with us, though they would probably be too starstruck with Mom and me to be any fun. I could imagine them bowing low to the ground like the yenmas did. In my last life I didn't play many games with others, opting to read in silence alone. I would read more but I felt more playful and energetic now.

The humans of this world also had a different language so I couldn't read the text. They're speech sounded the same as English to me, but the text was still gibberish to me. Mom was slowly teaching me how to read again since she remembered how much I loved books. It was easier than learning an entire language by scratch because I knew how the language sounded. I just had to memorize which letters made what sounds and piece them together to form words. Mom also read to me regularly like last night. I honestly enjoyed her reading to me much more than reading books myself now. She always was so animated about what she read, she gave all the characters different voices so the story took on a life of its own.

Practicing my powers took up most of my time now. I really liked the idea of going around the world and healing pokemon. The way that Mom made me feel instantly better by healing my arm was amazing. I remembered the hospital, all of the sick and suffering kids. The doctors tried their best but they could only do so much. I could help end so much suffering with these powers, so I took learning them more seriously.

All of the next day I mostly only practiced. By the end of the day, I was able to get the pebble to lift off the ground and float for a few seconds. The rush of accomplishment I felt was intoxicating. Mom cheered for me. After that she got me to play with her before it was my bedtime.

The day after that I practiced more. This time I raised the pebble in the air for as long as possible to strengthen my endurance and energy reserves. The amount of time I was able to hold it steadily climbed. Mom was happy I was so determined to improve but she was also getting worried. I spent many more hours now than I used to working at it and took less breaks. I was already to the point of exhaustion I felt when I usually went to bed for the night and it was only just past mid-day.

I was panting after holding the pebble in the air for a full minute when Mom decided she was done watching me exhaust myself. "That's enough for today!" She said in a firm voice. "You are going to take a nap and we are going to have fun after."

"But Mom, I want to get to two minutes by the end of the day!" I complained.

"Kitten, you have to slow down. I don't want you to burn out, you can hurt yourself a lot if you push yourself too much." Mom lectured.

"I thought you wanted me to get in control of my powers as fast as I could!" I argued, raising my voice a little. My tail swished angrily behind me.

"Yes, I want you to improve fast but that doesn't mean immediately! I also want you to rest. Since the energy comes from our minds you can end up with permanent brain damage by pushing yourself too much. Is this because of the discussion we had two days ago?" She asked.

"Partly." I reluctantly admitted after a few seconds. "Hearing about so many families getting destroyed and so many pokemon suffering… I just want to help them."

"Kitten, my job is to help other pokemon. Your job is to have a childhood and grow. I want you to have an actual childhood, not like your last life." Mew reasoned.

"But I feel so bad for them…"

"It's great that you have such a big heart. You are already helping in a way." Mom said.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confusedly. 'How am I helping just sitting here?'

"This tree is a sanctuary for rare and almost extinct pokemon. They need this place to not get hunted for their rarity. Now, because of your little adventure." I blushed and looked sheepishly at mom at the reminder of the incident. "Everyone in the tree now knows you exist."

"But how does that help them?" I asked.

Mom answered, "Simple, it gives them hope. Every mew's lifeforce is connected to this tree. Both mine and yours. Before you came along, if I ever perished." I winced at the thought of Mom dying. She continued, "The tree would die and the pokemon living here would lose their home. Now since you came along, they have some insurance. But other than that, as I said, My job is to help pokemon. I assure you that I got this covered. Unless you don't think I could handle my own job?" Mom asked with a raised brow. I frantically shook my head in the negative. She was insanely strong, there was no way I could hold a candle to her, as I was. "So, there's no need to rush your powers. You have about a hundred years of growing to do before you grow to be my size and officially become an adult."

"A hundred years! How does it take that long! That's a crazy long time away!" I shouted in surprise.

"Immortal remember? Our biology acts way slower in the aging process. Trust me it won't seem that long by the end of it. It just sounds like a long time for a mortal being, which you used to be, so you're still getting your mind wrapped around that idea. In fact, I bet by the end of it you'll want to be a child for even longer, I know I did."

Still that was insane, I was going to be an even smaller pipsqueak then even Mom is for an entire century. 'At least I'll grow my baby milk teeth in about a month and will get to eat solid food sometimes.' I was especially looking forward to eating Mom's secret stash of gummies and chocolate.

*Fine.* I mentally grumbled to her. I gave up the argument. Of course she was right, I knew that, but I was still annoyed. I got more comfortable in our cuddle pile bed in order to grugingly take a nap.

"You know…" Mom said, my ears perked up. "I used to be a child once upon a time." I gave her my full attention. "When I was young but strong enough to fly around and manipulate objects, I loved playing tricks on my brothers and sisters. I would get found out every time but since I was just a child, I would get minimal punishments." Mom smirked at my interested expression. She decided to tell a story, "One day, Kyogre's famous orb that she needs to create massive amounts of water just happened to go missing."

"No, you didn't!" I exclaimed, completely shocked.

Mom giggled evilly like one of those superhero villains. "Oh yes, I did! Kyogre's face was priceless when she found out she lost it and there was only the whole world to search! I wish cameras were invented back then, it would've made an amazing photo! She eventually came to me to demand it back, but like a master actor I am, I denied the accusation with perfect grace. Then she…"

"What did she do?" I asked, I was at the edge of my metaphorical seat.

"Well…she doused me in cold water until I gave it back." She finished her story. I shivered at the thought of being in water at all, let alone cold water. "But now I'm stuck as a boring adult, doing boring adult things. Forever giving up the life of a prankster, oh woe is me!" She did a dramatic faint to the ground with the back of her paw on her forehead. I gave her a disbelieving look. "Fine, I just prank less than I used to though." A second look was pointed in her direction by me. "Okay, okay! I never grew up and I am still just as much a child and a prankster then I was when I was little. Playing with toys and eating sweets without a responsible adult's supervision. There are you happy now!" I giggled at her expense.

"Time for a nap little junior trouble maker! I can teach you some tricks of the trade when you wake again. Being a prankster requires a lot of finesse, so I won't go easy on you!" I was still giggling lightly as I curled up into her warm belly and took a nap.

The few remaining days until my front right leg was fully healed were spent doing more of the same training, playing, and learning. I calmed down on the training so Mom wouldn't give me another lecture, I was still making amazing progress though. The learning mostly revolved more on how the pokemon world worked and the technologies of this world compared to my last one. The main differences were that computers, tvs and other electronics were less advanced but their healing was super advanced. They had infinite power since they used electric type pokemon as electricity generators, which I thought was revolting. They had also somehow harnessed pocket dimensions and used them in for pokeballs and the P.C.s that humans left pokemon they didn't want anymore, forever stuck until the P.C. and the pokeball broke down. Mom did tell me a few more interesting stories. The most intriguing being the one about Regigigas.

Mom was telling me about how powerful she currently was, so I would know what to expect for my own powers, when she got sidetracked. "I know I would be able to move a medium sized mountain but Regigigas was much stronger physically, he could move a continent with just his hands. In fact a few thousand years ago there weren't multiple continents, but one. You see there was a massive war. Pokemon and humans of one side fought the other side over massive territory disputes, it was never ending war. So many living beings died in that war, it was a mess. We legendaries were sad but we couldn't interfere much, since if we did it would seem like the mortals had no freedom, every action decided by the gods. That was until Regigigas decided enough was enough. He ignored the no interference policy we had and broke up the continents into several pieces. He sent them all to the opposite corners of the earth. We were luckily able to frame it as a natural disaster and not legendary interference. The wars stopped or at least decreased as the combatants could not reach each other. All was peaceful again, we didn't have to watch the endless death anymore. The legendaries, including me, were way happier, so Regigigas got off punishment free."

It was a very good story. I couldn't fully believe that one pokemon could move something as large as a continent. But if one legendary could create the continents all by itself, maybe they could be moved by one pokemon as well, maybe there was just a certain trick to do it. I decided to keep an open mind, even if it was exaggerated, Regigigas still seemed powerful. Creating pokemon with their own personalities and moving continents were both no easy feats.

\('o')/

I woke up in the morning. I gave a small but powerful yawn, letting out a cute little noise with it. I stretched as much as I could when I was stuck on my side. That's when I noticed something, my leg didn't hurt at all. Staying on my left side for the time being. I pushed my right paw against the ground, putting a little pressure on it and testing the waters a bit. There was no pain or stiffness, nothing!

I quickly scrambled up onto my paws and started bouncing around wildly, yowling "Yes!" Into the air. My tail was swinging in large arcs from side to side, showing my happiness. I suddenly saw a rattata plush that Mom had brought up earlier. I quickly crouched so as to not disturb my "prey", I crept closer slowly and carefully. When I was close enough I wiggled my butt getting ready to pounce and went for it. I leaped through the air in a majestic arc and landed right on its back. I meowed my triumph, "Aha, got you!" I heard some noise behind me.

I looked at the direction of the disturbance only to find Mom rolling around on her back dying of laughter. I swear my head got so red and hot that you could have charred anything you put on it.

"Ha ha ha! You…" She had to pause to take a giant breath, "are going to make quite the fearsome hunter when you get older, kitten!" She continued laughing.

I myself sported quite the pout on my face at her laughing and teasing. I was extremely embarrassed that my instincts had gotten away from me that much. I was quite restless from spending so many days laying down that my inhibitions were completely missing. I was usually fine with trusting my instincts but this was different, I would never live this down. Grumply I got off the rattata and grumbled, "Stupid meanie, teasing me for testing out my paw. I hate you." I said it with no real heat but it still gained Mom's attention.

"Oh Kitten, I'm sorry. I promise I wasn't making fun of you, it was just soo cute!" She quickly tried to reconcile with me. My only response was more angry grumbling. That tactic didn't work so well for Mom, so my fluffy pink guardian went for bribery instead, "Now that your leg is healed, what do you think we are going to be doing today?" She asked with an alluring undertone in her voice.

I perked up a little before hesitantly asking "Trip?" Mom nodded in confirmation. I instantly made a loud squealing noise of pure joy at the affirmation of something I was greatly looking forward to. My previous mood abruptly vanished without a trace. I was bouncing around the bed once again.

I was very excited, if not a little nervous for this trip. Don't get me wrong I loved my home, with the large space, endless toys, and a cozy bed. It was perfect. But however much I liked to practice and play with board games and toys, I needed a break for a little while to do something different. Exploring the world and meeting my Auntie was just what I needed.

Mom hadn't given any details other than it was in a town and it had dangerous humans in it. She didn't even say which of her sisters I was meeting. She wanted to surprise me, it seemed.

"By the way, your butt wiggling is in top form, I couldn't do better myself." Mom teased me again.

"Meanie!" I yelled back. The blush appeared on my face again.

Mom giggled, "Okay, Rosalyn gather up the things you want to bring!" Mom called while she floated her mini backpack to her, it had the image of a wailmer smiling while waving its flipper. She quickly put a few emergency chocolate bars inside to sate her suger addiction. I instantly grabbed my mew plushie and held it to my chest, I never went anywhere without it. I then grabbed the book Mom was currently reading to me and an extra book just in case we finished it. I held my objects up for Mom to put them into her pack. That was all I really wanted to bring. At first, when I became mew, I was a bit flustered that I couldn't wear clothes. I quickly became used to it though, I realized there was nothing to worry about because my new fur covered everything adequately. One upside to no clothes is that we didn't have to lug spare clothes everywhere we went.

All packed up and ready to go, we quickly started our journey. I wondered how I would be carried but apparently Mom had already thought of that. Mom put her backpack on her back and raised a pink sphere of energy around her. She levitated a pillow through the wall of the sphere and set it at the bottom. Then she lifted me up and put me on the pillow, she put my mew plushie on the pillow next to me. Next she covered me with a thick blanket, only the front of my face was poking out. Just like that I was as snug as a bug in a rug and ready to go. The warmth made me sleepy but I didn't let it take me, I wanted to see everything on the outside.

Mom floated both her and her bubble through the hole in the top of the room, where she usually came in and out. Light filled my senses as I gained my first view of the outside. The sun was just peeking out of the horizon as its early morning light lit up an absolutely beautiful world. Nature blanketed the ground way below us, green as far as my eyes could see. The trees of the forest below us were some kind of pine tree. There was a flower patch way to our right. The air was clean and smelled of pine but it was also frigid as it was currently the cold beginning of spring, the sky was clear of clouds. I was extremely glad Mom brought a blanket for me to hide under.

Nature wasn't the only thing living in the scene though. Flocks of spearow, fearow, pidgey, pidgeotto, and pidgeot were speckled throughout the sky. A group of beautifly were going from flower to flower collecting nectar. There were many different pokemon running from the cover of one tree to another, I couldn't make them out fast enough but there were definitely a lot.

My mouth was wide open in wonderment, 'My new world is gorgeous!' I thought. I couldn't help but whisper out, "Wow!" Mom apparently heard it because she giggled.

After a minute of traveling I looked back at my home only to be more amazed. The Tree of Beginning dwarfed everything, it touched the very heavens and went beyond. The tall pine trees didn't reach even a quarter of the height. The thickness of the tree must have been multiple miles across. The foliage caused a shadow behind the tree farther than I could see. The gigantic roots dug ravines through the landscape. It was otherworldly, it was our home.

Who made the tree? I couldn't help but wonder out loud.

"Celibi and I are great friends as well as sisters. She is able to manipulate plant life. So she grew the tree and I designed the interior. The tree is alive, more so than normal trees. In fact, it has its own immune system with antibodies and everything! Even without the regies help the tree can protect itself from intruders, mostly humans." Mom explained, her voice filled with pride at her achievement. I didn't have to wonder why she was proud, it was extremely cool.

We rocketed across the sky, the landscape zoomed by us. I saw many things as we were going past. There was quite a lot of nature, many different landscapes dotted the land. There were forests, rivers, ponds, lakes, plains, and fields of flowers. In each of these places, a great variety of different pokemon went about their daily lives, they looked quite content. It was nice to see them play, eat, and interact with one another, seemingly without a care in the world.

There were also human-made structures that I could see every once in a while. There were many roads that split forests and bridges that crossed great rivers. Honestly it wasn't too intrusive to the environment. There didn't seem to be that many cars going through these roads too, mostly only humans walking through them. I was happy that people didn't use vehicles as much as in my past world. The emissions from them were destroying the environment. Pokemon that had to cross these roads, carefully looked out for humans before dashing, like their life depended on it, to the other side.

I saw what must've been a handful of trainers. They were always carefully looking around in shallow patches of wilderness, always with a pokeball in their hands. They watched and waited to see if they could spot any movement in the foliage. This must've been a very well used tactic because the patches of wilderness that they waited in were mostly abandoned by pokemon. There were always some prey pokemon in these areas, using instincts instead of their logic to find food, these pokemon were usually the ones caught by trainers, it seemed.

On our way, we also went over a large town and a small village. The town was the one we came across first and it seemed to have a cool medieval theme going for it. The town itself was full of small buildings. There was a place filled with colorful canvas coverings that must've been the market. A moderate amount of people were walking around the town, going about their own lives. They looked like ants from this distance, but due to my great cat-eyesight, I could kind of see what they were doing. Then there was the castle. It was on a tiny island in the middle of a lake with bridges on either side, one going to town and the other going to a forest area on the far side of the lake. The castle itself was magnificent. The walls were made of a light gray stone and the roofs were made out of red shingles. It was massive, there were five towers reaching into the sky as well as multiple large buildings that fit into the big walls of the castle, there was even a clocktower. It seemed to be taken straight out of a fantasy tale and I loved it. Mom said that the town was called Rowa and the castle was called the Cameran Palace, this was where she apparently got all of her toys, pillows, and candy from.

Quite a bit into the day of travelling, I was still watching the scenery with interest but it was more of the same, we came across the village. It wasn't that impressive as Rota but it was beautiful in its own way. Its houses were intermixed in the trees with footpaths that acted as the main road. There was a small lake where the village got their water. The only place without trees was what looked like a main plaza in the center. In the center of the main plaza was a slowpoke water fountain. The only building that really stood out of the nature theme was a large round building with a glass domed roof. Mom said that this town was Azalea town and the big building was the bug-type gym, where human trainers tested their skills as a sort of commander for the pokemon they captured and trained.

Soon after Azalea, we happened upon the ocean. I still didn't have a clue as to where we were headed but wherever it was, it was definitely off the main land as Mom just kept going across the ocean. I saw a few water pokemon like waimer and mantine but other than that it was mostly uninteresting. Trusting Mom not to dump me into the ocean, I decided to take a nap. My eyelids had been feeling heavy for a while because of the warm blanket and I wanted to feel rested when I got to our destination. Snuggling my mew plush closer to my body to make up for the fact mom couldn't cuddle, I let my eyes close and fell asleep.

\('o')/

When Mom woke me up it was close to sunset. I blinked, groggily wondering why Mom had desturbed my sleep. That was until I looked down. There in the middle of the ocean, was an island. On the island sat a town that I would have to describe as the most beautiful town I had ever seen. Rota with the palace was also nice but it couldn't top this. It looked to be a port city, big sailboats ment for cargo littered the docks, there was also a cruise ship, which did not fit in with the aesthetic of the town. The town had sort of italian styled buildings and gates. That wasn't what made this town unique though, those were the water roads. Instead of normal paths throughout the town there were water passageways exactly like Venice. I saw a picture of Venice once in my past life but even that was inferior to this town. There were a few places for people to walk around and a few sidewalks but it was mostly water. There were mini docks everywhere, in front of houses, stores, and restaurants. Tiny boats filled the water roads, people going to and fro. This place seemed to be a major tourist trap because many people were in colorful button ups that did not match what the locals were wearing at all and made them stand out. I looked around in wonder, I was definitely happy with Mom's pick of vacation places.

"Welcome to Alto Mare!" My Mom said excitedly, watching my reactions.

"It's beautiful!" I shouted.

"Yup, I knew you'd like it. Though remember we still have to be very careful. So stay with me or your auntie at all times." She said in a stern voice.

I secretly rolled my eyes, it wasn't like I could go very far by myself without being able to fly. "Yes Mom." I agreed mostly to placate my worrying mother. "Who is my aunt?" I asked.

"You'll see." Mom said with a smirk, I sighed.

It was late so people couldn't see us floating above their heads. If they did, they would probably cause quite a stir. We floated towards the town hall or museum for this place. Instead of going inside it though we went behind it, to a large cluster of buildings. We descended towards them but instead of going onto the roof like I thought we would, the air shimmered slightly. To my complete surprise the roof vanished away like it was an illusion, only to show an amazing looking garden. I was amazed once again. The garden was fantastic. It was very large and open to the sky. Since it was hidden with the illusion it would be perfect to hold a legendary like us. Pristine green grass, trees, colorful flowers, a pond, and an access port to the ocean along with a gorgeous view into the horizon. It was perfect.

It seemed weird that there were man-made structures like stone paths and a large water fountain, at first. After I thought about it, it made more sense. It wasn't like a pokemon could make a place in a town for pokemon to stay hidden. 'Whoever made this wanted to protect someone. They must've been nice. I'm happy that there are humans in this world who are truly kind, to make this place.' I thought, happy that not all humans wanted to catch us legends. I sort of wanted to become friends with humans like that.

There were many different wild pokemon here just relaxing. They didn't seem to worry about humans coming here at all. When some spotted us they made quite a commotion causing the rest to look in our direction. They all sported a comical open-mouth gape expression before they came closer to inspect us. They also were quite noisy.

"Oh Arceus, is that Mew?" A wingull asked, flying from the top of the tree.

"Yeah, It has to be! Are there any other floating pink cats?" An eevee replied, looking very excited.

"Oh no! I didn't groom today, do I look okay?" A vulpix asked a poliwag who replied in the affirmative.

"Is that a second tinier mew under that blanket?" A furret asked leaning closer.

This was when Mom set me down. I got out of my blanket with my mew plush and stretched my back in an arch, I gave out a huge yawn. The journey was incredibly long so I was sore from staying in one position the whole time.

Immediately when they saw my whole body, the crowd gasped and mobbed me. I gave a tiny squeak as many furry bodies suddenly surrounded me.

"Oh my gosh, Mew's kittens are the cutest things." "Oh look how big her green eyes are." "She's as small as my head!" "Oh I could just eat her up!" That last comment was kind of disturbing, being a wild animal, but overall all the complaints were making me really flustered. I frantically scrambled to hide behind my mother.

Mom chuckled and said, "Calm down guys, you're overwhelming her."

"The collective of pokemon looked sheepish and embarrassed. They all gave their respective apologies while I shyly peeped my head from behind Mom.

"But Mew, when did you get a child? No legendary has ever had a kid before!" The eevee said.

"Well first of all, call me Sakura now. And this cutie is my daughter Rosalyn. It would get pretty confusing if we were both called Mew." She stepped to the side to show me when she introduced me. I had my tail between my legs and was shaking. I dashed back behind Mom. They accepted the new names. "As to why I have a child. I just finally wanted to. I didn't want to announce her existence to the world because I didn't want brainwashed pokemon to know. If a psychic type that knew how to communicate with a human told someone evil, she could be hunted." All the pokemon agreed to this logical explanation and welcomed us to the secret garden before returning to what they were doing, continuing to whisper excitedly about us.

"So where's auntie?" I asked after getting a hold of my nerves.

"She seems to be in the city for now, I don't know when she'll get here." Mom said. I huffed impatiently. Mom continued, "It's not like we'll go exploring today anyways, after you meet your aunt, you're going to bed." I yawned which only proved her point.

Mom laid my pillow underneath a tree and I settled down on it with her curled around me to wait for whoever it was I was meeting. It took about an hour for anything to happen. I was waiting, keeping my drowsy eyes awake until I met my aunt. When suddenly three humans walked through a doorway at the side of the garden. It looked like twin young girls with brown hair and black eyes. They both wore green collared shirts, a short white skirt and a white hat. The third person was a large old man with a big gut, he had a bald head, white full beard, and black eyes. The man wore a red shirt with a blue set of overalls.

I mewled in surprise at the unexpected arrival of humans. This of course only focused their attention on us. I started to wiggle around a little in panic as they started to walk towards us. Mom gently licked my head, calming me a little. I noticed that she didn't seem worried at all, so I calmed down fully while staying a little nervous.

As they got into speaking range, the big man and one of the twins stayed back a ways while one twin walked closer. She talked excitedly, "Oh my gosh, Mew! I was wondering when you would get here!"

Instead of human words, soft squealing could be heard but I could still understand her. 'Wait, is this human speaking pokespeech?' I questioned myself, wondering just how that could be possible.

Mom giggled and said, "Hello Latias, long time no see! How are you getting along these days?"

"I'm doing okay, I'm still a little lonely. Lugia and Kyogre come along sometimes to talk and spend time with me but it's not the same as a constant companion, y'know?" She asked and Mom nodded sadly. "Biancia is teaching me more about art to pass the time though. She says I'm still improving! We made a beautiful mural together!" The poke-human apparently called Latias said, a little more perked up than previously.

"That's great! You know I always found your art beautiful, you're one of the most talented of the legendaries in that respect." Mom said, Latias blushed at the compliment. "By the way, my name is now Sakura. Anyways, remember why I'm here?" Mom asked probingly.

Latias accepted the name change and thought a moment before visibly brightening and looking closer at where I was cuddling Mom. She spotted me and gave me a soft and warm smile. "Oh Sakura, she's adorable!" Latias squealed before getting closer to touch me. I quickly leaned away from the weird human's touch, unsure what she wanted. Latias looked a little saddened at my retreat. In the corner of my eye I saw the two other humans retreat out of the garden.

Mom giggled, "Uh Latias? You might want to change into your true form, my little kitten is a tiny bit frightened of humans."

Latias looked down at her body in surprise before her whole body flashed in a bright light. Now standing where the human used to be was a pokemon I had yet to see in the pokemon trading card game Mom played with me. The pokemon had a slightly birdlike body that seemed to be designed like a jet. She had no fur but soft feathers lined her whole form. She had a long white neck that sprouted out of her mainly red body. Two long fin-like wings came out of her back. She had no legs and she was floating but two round and clawed hands were positioned slightly before her neck started. Latias had a soft and cute face with a large upside-down red triangle seemingly tattooed on her feathers in her head.

Latias was rubbing the back of her head with her clawed hands sheepishly. "Sorry, I sometimes forget that I look human sometimes."

Her feathers looked awfully soft, it made me want to sink into them and fall asleep in her downy body. I stared with wide eyes at her, a little starstruck at her abilities. 'It would be so cool to be able to transform into a human to explore human cities without risk!' I thought excitedly. I immediately wanted to ask about it, so I did. "How did you do that?"

Latias laughed, "Oh it's just an illusion I put over myself to hide my form. It's nothing as advanced as what a mew like you can do!"

I looked over to my Mom, a little confused about what Latias said. Mom responded, "Oh right, I haven't shown you yet! I mainly use the ability to blend in outside of The Tree of Beginning. We can transform into any pokemon or human fully." Mom provided an example by transforming into a tiny pichu, almost matching my size. My mouth gaped like a fish. "Well it takes quite a lot of training to get the transformation correct and a lot of energy." My mind was racing thinking about what I could do with such an ability.

I was snapped out of thought by Latias saying "Well little one, I should probably introduce myself. My name is Latias, Guardian of Alto Mare and now your loving aunt. If your Mom has a new name, I expect you have one too?"

"Um yes, Auntie Latias… I'm Rosalyn." I said nervously introducing myself. She absolutely melted at the sound of my meek voice and her new title. It seemed I had turned her into a cooing mess, thinking back, I seemed to have that effect on other mon.

"Aww. It's so great to finally meet you!" Latias said while reaching forward to touch me again. This time I didn't shrink back and just let her touch me.

I expected her claws to hurt, seeing how sharp they where but she touched me with care, making absolutely sure her claws didn't pierce my skin. Latias started to itch my head. I myself quickly melted at the feeling. I automatically closed my eyes and started purring deeply at her soft ministrations.

My Mom and Auntie Latias quickly went into deep conversation while Latias continued to stroke my fur. I tried to listen as it sounded serious, something about pokemon around Alto Mare becoming more agitated recently, but I couldn't stop the inevitableness of falling to sleep. The petting along with my exhaustion forced me to drift into unconsciousness.

\('O')/

End note: Hello everyone! I'm sorry for cutting Rosa's trip short, I was going to make this chapter a lot longer. I had a lot of schoolwork recently as it is the end of the quarter so writing was taking longer. I have decided to end the chapter here and continue the Alto Mare adventure in the next chapter, sorry!

I also wanted to explain something about this universe. Pokemon in my version don't have an actual language but super advanced empathy. Pokemon in this story can interpret exactly what other pokemon are wanting to say automatically. This is how pokemon can see stuff like when another pokemon blushes even if they have fur to cover their skin. They can sense emotions perfectly, if they're not hidden by the other pokemon.
