Unmei Force Shattered Heroes: Divine Rage

Chapter 8: Farewell, Yasha…

Both Yasha and Suika managed to find a small cavern, as they laid the ones they were carrying, Asura and Meiling respectively, as Meiling had been rested against the wall, while Asura was left lying spread-out.

"What do we do now?" Suika asked Yasha. "We know that trying to beat that bastard as we are won't change a thing… Hell, Meiling was the only one who was actually doing something there. The rest of us… we couldn't even deal reliable harm to him. It's as if he's on another level of power, just like Deus was, for a moment.

"Deus…" Yasha muttered to himself, before he then thought back to a few words that Deus told him.

"Yasha. Power without a purpose is meaningless and worthless." Deus declared in his mind. "A purpose that is firm can change the impossible to the possible. That is the power of our cause."

"A purpose… that is firm…" Yasha repeated to himself.

"Yasha?" Suika remarked, before Yasha then collapsed onto his knee in pain, as red electricity coursed through him. "Yasha!? You alright!?"

"There is not much time left." Yasha replied back. "...Asura's the only one that I believe who has the power to save the world."

"How…?" Suika asked back.

"I need to find something… something that might bring Asura back to a new level of power." Yasha answered back.

"Then we'll find it… With our help, we can-'' Suika was about to say, before she then saw red lightning strike the ground nearby, as Gohma reappeared before them, in various smaller forms, consisting of Gohma Stingers, Gohma Chargers, and Gohma Howlers. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me, he even knows where we are now!?"

"We can't abandon them." Yasha stated, before he then took a combat stance, while Suika did the same, opting to remain unawakened to conserve strength.

Flick the left joystick up and the right joystick down!

Yasha then let out a war-cry, before he then rushed towards the surrounding Gohma, as he and Suika began to fight fervently in order to defeat them before they could harm either Meiling or Asura.

Yasha rapidly slashed at a line of Gohma Howlers, cutting them down to pieces, before Suika leapt into the air and smashed some Gohma Stingers down into the ground in small craters, then flinging one of them into a Gohma Charger that was about to charge Yasha, knocking it off-course, and allowing Yasha to take it out with a frontal-kick that pierced its head.

Suika then noticed a stronger Gohma Howler raising a fist to pummel Suika, only for Suika to catch its fist, before then spinning around, using its body to knock its buddy away, before Suika then threw it into the air, and split it into two with a powerful falling elbow when she jumped above it.

Yasha leapt back, before launching a barrage of slash waves that cut down Gohma Stinger after Gohma Stinger, before he then roared, as blue energy surrounded him, before he then faced a charging Gohma Howler.

Flick the left joystick right!

Yasha redirected the Gohma Howler away from him with a turn of his body, as the Gohma Howler rushed towards Suika who pulped it with a single forceful punch, before more Gohma Howlers began to rush Yasha from multiple directions.

Press B!

Yasha shoulder-checked one of the attacking Gohma Howlers, before blasting another back with his palms, and then seizing a third by the head, prepared to swing it around.

Spin the left joystick clockwise!

Yasha then spun the Gohma Howler in the air with a flick of his arms, as a pair of Gohma Howlers rushed Yasha from opposing sides, as Suika leapt into the air, towards Yasha.

Flick the left joystick left and the right joystick right!

Suika then kicked both of her legs out, her feet crashing into the heads of the jumping Gohma Howlers, sending them flying back, while Yasha raised his leg for an attack.

Press B!

Yasha then kicked the spinning Gohma Howler away, creating a large crater where it hit, before Yasha noticed a Gohma Charger rushing towards him, as he lowered his stance, as it got closer.

Press Y at the right time!

Yasha then unleashed a shockwave that sent the Gohma Charger flying away, as Yasha lowered his foot, to reaffirm his stance, before flexing his arms around in a circular motion.

Spin the left joystick anti-clockwise!

Yasha began to gather energy, as his hands spun around, before he then eyed the Gohma who were advancing towards him.

Press B at the right time!

With a shout, Yasha created a dome of blue energy that expanded outwards, scorching the Gohma into light, as Suika watched as he managed to finish the battle.

However, they barely had time to speak, before another set of red lightning appeared, before a Gohma Squasher appeared, as it roared, while more lesser Gohma appeared.

"What did we ever accomplish…" Yasha growled, clenching his fists. "Even after defeating Vlitra… the Gohma still appears."

"But we still have time to take them out." Suika declared. "With both of us, it won't take long."

"But first… I must do something about this fool…" Yasha stated, eying the still-unconscious Asura.

"You take care of that big turtle. I can handle the rabble." Suika declared, before she then fired a series of orb danmaku that blasted the lesser Gohma back.

Now engaged in solitary combat against the Gohma Squasher, Yasha hacked and cleaved with his own four arms and legs, although the large turtle retaliated by firing a bombardment of fire from its shell, and using its shell to spin around and try to blend Yasha into a bloody paste, and using its mouth to launch fireballs at him/

Yasha deftly avoided each and every attack, looking for opportunities to counter-attack with all of his force, while Suika made short work of the other Gohma herself.

Yasha then noticed the moment that the Gohma Squasher was starting to weaken from his constant assault, as he leapt back, before rushing forward, picking up speed.

Flick the left joystick right!

Yasha then yelled with pure determination, as he accelerated faster and faster, before he then stopped for a moment, as the momentum slowly gathered on his legs.

Press A!

Yasha then leapt into the air, going for a flying kick towards the Gohma Squasher, who barely noticed the incoming demi-god, as energy gathered on Yasha's leg.

Press Y at the right time!

Yasha cleaved right through the Gohma Squasher, leaving a deep yellow line where his attack cut through the large creature, before it then peeled away into two halves, which faded into light, as Yasha landed onto the ground softly.

Yasha then collapsed again on his knees, looking at Asura.

"As dull and simple-minded as you were… I admit you were strong." Yasha admitted through grit teeth. "Even Augus acknowledged your strength."

Yasha then got up, before walking up to Asura, as Suika, who had finished the clean-up on the nearby Gohma, followed him.

"But your body is unable to withstand the anger you carry inside of you." Yasha continued, as he slowly bent down.

Flick both joysticks up!

Yasha then carried Asura up, as Yasha looked around for a moment. "Then there is only one thing left to do." He declared.

At that moment, Meiling's finger twitched, to indicate her return to consciousness, slowly groaning, and then blinking her eyes to clear her vision up. Suika noticed this, as she rushed over.

"Meiling, you're awake. You really took a good hit from that bastard Chakravartin…" Suika stated. "...Nothing hurts bad?"

"I'm fine." Meiling answered back, brushing Suika away gently, and getting up to her feet, and seeing the marks of battle. "...Were we attacked while I was unconscious."

"Unfortunately." Yasha stated back. "Let us go."

Meiling and Suika followed Yasha to a small chasm, as Yasha looked around, before he then grit his teeth in frustration.

"No, this can't be… the Karma Fortress's fragments…" Yasha growled. "...If they never made it to Gaea… then I won't be able to find the Mantra Reactor that Asura needs…"

"Did you say, Mantra Reactor?" Suika asked, as Yasha turned to her. "...Say, I did notice something while I was preventing those fragments of that thing from hitting Gaea."

"What is it?" Yasha stated, before Suika pulled out some sort of miniature reactor with a eight-pronged face, fitting with different-coloured orbs on each side it had. "That's…!?"

"I figured that there was a lot of Mantra in there… that this was the thing that channeled all those 7 trillion souls that the Seven Deities gathered." Suika stated. "So I managed to get it before everything fell apart. This is exactly what you were looking for, right."

"Yes." Yasha stated, before he then slowly laid Asura on the ground, and taking the Mantra Reactor from Suika's hand. "Before I do what I must… you must know something: Pride, Lust, Greed, Sloth, Vanity, Violence, Melancholy and Wrath… These are the Mantras that govern the world, and the forces that protected Gaea for so long. As you might have heard… Asura cannot channel his wrath with his body as it is. And that Mantra Reactor… whatever power you had sensed within it… has been entirely spent, thanks to Mithra's aid."

"But it will serve as Asura's channel, now that it is intact enough to be used." Meiling deduced.

"That is right." Yasha stated, before he then flexed his fingers onto Asura's chest, as if looking for certain pressure points, as Asura's chest opened, to reveal an empty hole exactly where the Mantra Reactor would fit. "The pride of the Seven Deities… I will give it to Asura."

The Mantra Reactor was then lowered into Asura's chest, as multi-coloured particles sparked between the slot and the reactor, before it disappeared from Yasha's hand and fitted itself into Asura's chest snugly, glowing with energy.

"You said it was powerless… then how will you activate it?" Suika asked back, before she then saw Yasha place a hand on his chest. "Wait, you intend to…!?"

Yasha then plunged his fingers into his own chest, as he began to dig through it, even though doing so was causing immense agony to him, as Suika and Meiling moved to stop him, only for Yasha to stop them with his other arm.

"No! This is the only way. Only a source of active Mantra can reawaken Asura's own. I must merge it with his… or else all of this will be in vain!" Yasha declared.

"Yasha…" Meiling muttered, before Yasha's fingers managed to find his own Mantra Reactor, as he put his fingers onto it with a vice-like grip.

Mash B!

Yasha slowly began to tear the Mantra Reactor from within his chest, before screaming with agony, as he tore it free, with a splash of his orange blood, and sparking wires where the Mantra Reactor would have been connected to his own body, while electricity sparked within the hole in Yasha's chest.

"You… you were prepared for this outcome from the start, weren't you…?" Suika asked. "But that will mean you'll…"

"My life means nothing at this point…" Yasha answered back, before he then raised a finger to his own Mantra Reactor. "It's about time… you got up, Asura. Do not be mistaken. I am not saving you, because you must face an even greater hell than this!"

Press Y at the right time!

Yasha then plunged the transformed reactor into Asura's chest, as the energy merged with it, creating an aura of rainbow energy that surrounded the both of them, as the entire area began to shake from the immense build-up of power that was being created. As energy poured into Asura, his own hand began to tense up.

"Get up, Asura!" Yasha declared. "It is time to reclaim Mithra and end this!"

As more and more energy gathered into Asura's installed Mantra Reactor, its glow grew and grew, before it then fired a beam of rainbow energy into the air, illuminating the entire surrounding area briefly, before it then faded away, even though the Mantra Reactor was fiercely glowing, even under Asura's chest, which closed itself up.

"Yasha… now what will you do?" Meiling stated. "Without your Mantra Reactor… you'll eventually lose your own life-force… and you'll join the rest of the Seven Deities in the beyond."

"Not yet… there is still one final step to awaken his power." Yasha stated, as he then used his own clothing to create a wrap to obscure his own torn chest. "He must fight me, and realize his true power. Only then, can I truly pass on without any more regrets."

"I see…" Suika stated. "...Sorry it had to come to this… if only we had some more help with this."

"...Then yes, things would have been different…" Yasha stated. "But perhaps… it won't be better than as they are now… even if things are bleak."

"You are right. I must prepare myself for the battle to come. I need to tap into my inner realm, to commune with my divine guardian… and grasp my power further." Meiling stated, as she left.

Suika gave a sympathetic look towards Yasha, before she then walked away as well.

Meiling returned to the cave where they took shelter in, before she then immediately sat herself down in a lotus meditation pose, allowing herself to sink within the realm of unconsciousness.

When she opened her eyes again, Meiling found herself back before the same table, with Huanglong sitting right on the opposite side of it.

"So… the journey will come to an end soon, won't it?" Huanglong asked Meiling. "You face the true perpetrator for this series of events, the creator deity Chakravartin. Do you wish to know more about him, if you have come to seek me?"

"No, I need not know more." Meiling shook her head. "Whatever past he had… it doesn't justify his acts of negligence towards those that he has responsibility over. Gaea, as well as the other worlds that he had a hand in creating… they all would be far better places without his own manipulations."

"A resolute answer… but do not be so rash to believe that striking down a creator would come without consequence." Huanglong responded back. "It is, as the more modern phrasing would put it, a situation where such a deity is a 'load-bearer', that is, his death will cause destruction. On how great of a scale and what is destroyed, no-one knows, but I have a clear hunch on what it is."

"And what would that be?" Meiling asked back.

"The very presence of Mantra." Huanglong declared. "He has put it clearly. He is the source of all Mantra. Once he perishes, Mantra will no longer exist. You and your companion will be adversely affected by it… but Asura, whose existence hinges on Mantra itself, will end himself with that act."

"And perhaps, he knows that fact well enough." Meiling answered back. "I have been with Asura long enough to understand that he is willing to go to any lengths to ensure Mithra will live a full life, even if he must have his own cut short. It's the reason why his wrath exists, why his will is unbreakable. Without it, even if he lived without Mantra, he would be no more than a spent husk of a man, and he will not have the same burning passion he does."

"How sad that both ways of life end tragically for him. Either die in a blaze of glory, or spend his remaining years as a smoldering shell." Huanglong sighed, shaking her head. "It is a cruel fate that I wouldn't wish upon anyone else… even Odin himself."

"Odin…" Meiling stated. "Since I told you my own history… then if we are to never meet again after this… at least tell me a part of your story."

"My story… It wouldn't matter much to you… but I can tell you how I died." Huanglong stated. "It started when Yinglong would become Orochi, thanks to the manipulations of Tamamo no Mae, the one within our own realm. Her actions has left us fighting a great war between both the forces of Orochi, and the forces of Asgard, led by Odin. In a time where we Chinese gods dueled against Odin, to put an end to him, Tamamo attained her true form as the Kyubi no Kitsune, and struck us with mortal blows. We managed to seal her into a stone, to be never found for millennia to come, but the damage was done. Odin slew me and Zhurong easily, and Chang'e died trying to safeguard Pangu, as it was the very last sight I had. How Pangu passed onto the ether… I do not know. But all I know is that the fact that he was reborn brings me a great sense of relief, meaning that our sacrifices were not in vain. Even Odin was finally struck down for his countless crimes against his fellow deities. If only I could return… if only."

"If I gain enough strength… Perhaps the same method that was used to resurrect Pangu could be used to save you as well." Meiling suggested. "After all, if you reside within me, it will be no issue to keep your spirit tethered to me as a spirit, until the right time comes."

"You are kind to offer such a thing, but that would also require sacrifice on your part." Huanglong refuted. "The catalyst of the Ouroboros Gauntlets that Yukari has made. They have been long consumed bringing Pangu back. I'm afraid that such a method would cost you more than what would be reasonable. However… I know one way to bring us back. If you find Kaguya, tell her to use Pangu as a conduit to traverse the flow of time. His past will be the key to save us all… and perhaps even change the fate of countless others."

"...I will consider that." Meiling nodded back.

"I suppose that I have been reminiscing about my past for far too long." Huanglong responded back, before she then put her hand out, as a golden orb of energy appeared in it. "Take this, the last of my power, that will be needed to ensure that you stand equal to Chakravartin for the entire battle. You will also need to merge with your companion into a guardian deity that will be able to destroy his fortress."

Meiling then took the golden orb, as it turned into energy that flowed through her arm, which spread out to the rest of her body.

"I thank you for everything you have done for me in this short time…" Meiling remarked, bowing deeply as a sign of respect, before she then disappeared from the realm.

"...May fate bless you, young dragon…" Huanglong spoke with a solemn tone, looking up to the dark sky above her. "...You might not believe it yourself… but you too will become a goddess equal to myself."

Suika began to walk through several villages, looking for Ahria and her younger brother, as she was out of luck for the first few villages, although she did manage to find them both, as they too saw the oni heading towards them from the air.

"Goddess!" Ahria exclaimed with joy. "You're here! I thought that the Gohma were the end of it all, but I always had that dreadful feeling that the crisis is not over yet, especially with the fighting above… Are those cruel deities above still harming our people?"

"No, they too are all defeated. But there is one more threat that lies ahead… the one who pulled the strings of both the Gohma and the deities." Suika answered back. "We are preparing to defeat them, so that none of you have to ever live in fear of demons and deities alike. You will all be granted peace and happiness, once this last threat falls."

"And what will happen to you?" Ahria's brother asked back, as Suika's expression drooped slightly in melancholy.

"...After this battle ends… I cannot remain here any longer." Suika answered back. "I have failed to protect you all, and I doubt that there would be anyone who would put their faith into me ever again, unlike you two. But that's alright. As long as you both never forget me… I will live on forever, and I will one day return, when the world has changed greatly in the centuries, even millennia to come."

"That's not true! You never failed!" Ahria retorted back with anger. "You tried your best to protect us all, even with your own companions. You still have us, and we can rebuild our village with others who would agree to such a wish. If you must go… then I'll not hold it against you. But before you go…"

Suika then saw Ahria pull out a small straw doll, which was a cute down-sized copy of the oni, as she took it.

"Brother and I worked on this doll so much, because we wanted to give this to you, for everything you have done. Father might be gone… but I'm sure that he lives within you… or even beside you." Ahria told Suika with a smile. "So I want you to take this, so that you won't forget about us as well. No matter what, we'll make sure that our entire lineage will remember you as the one who gave us the future we will continue to live within."

Suika looked at the doll for a moment, before tears began to flow down her eyes, even though her expression did not change much, although she did wipe the tears from her eyes, trying not to sob in a ugly manner before her own followers.

"You truly are a blessing upon this world, to still hold such kindness and gratitude." Suika stated softly, before she then turned away. "Ahria… I will make sure that you and your descendants will be considered a part of my own clan history."

"Take care, goddess." Ahria bowed towards Suika, as her brother did the same.

Suika then took off, as she headed to where Yasha was, intent on witnessing the demi-god's last moments, as a sign of respect for who he was.

It did not take long for Asura to wake up, finding him on open ground, as he quickly sat up.

"Mithra!" He cried, before looking around, to see Yasha, masked, standing on the side.

"You are awake." Yasha stated. "While you were asleep, the world has become what you see now."

Yasha then turned his head to the skies, as Asura did the same, to see that there was a massive statue in outer space, as it resembles a massive gold Buddha statue with multiple arms and a rainbow ring around its back, with countless galaxies scattered around it.

"The end of the world of which he spoke could begin at any moment." Yasha continued. "We are out of options. His power is too great. There is only one way."

"What do you mean?" Asura asked Yasha, who turned around to face Yasha.

"Let us decide once and for all." Yasha declared.

"Decide what!?" Asura growled, before Yasha then launched a straight punch right into Asura's face, sending him flying back.

Flick the left joystick right!

Asura managed to regain his footing, skidding across the ground, as he faced Yasha again.

"...who is stronger!" Yasha roared back, as he assumed his combat stance.

Asura did not respond, before then bending forward, gathering strength to his arms.

Flick the left joystick left and the right joystick right!

Asura then flexed his arms, before both combatants charged at each other, as they clashed arm to arm.

"Let us see how strong you really are." Yasha remarked, before leaping back. "Show me how strong you are! Asura!"

"What are you-!?" Asura was about to say, before Yasha launched a series of blade waves, which Asura was forced to dodge, before he countered with several blasts of energy that Yasha endured.

The two of them began to circle the arena, firing projectiles towards each other, before Yasha then immediately charged forward, with his hand ready to pierce Asura with a energy blade from his closed hand.

However, Asura immediately countered, using his own foot to stomp the hand down, knocking it off, as the two tried to force each other off.

"I can read your every move!" Yasha exclaimed, as the two of them pressed their heads closer.

"Shut up!" Asura yelled, before then stomping down on the hand, sending them both jumping back, as they began to trade blows with each other. As Yasha cut Asura's body, he was being battered by the angry demi-god's fists, as they began to accumulate damage on each other, with the damage evident on their scarred bodies.

"That is it!" Yasha exclaimed, as Asura managed to parry a slash strike from Yasha with his fist, before launching a powerful uppercut that sent him flying, before Asura grabbed him mid-aim, and slammed him right into the ground. "Hold nothing back!"

The two of them then began to fight harder than before, as Meiling and Suika arrived at the scene, both witnessing what would be the final battle between both Asura and Yasha, as the two demi-gods slugged at each other with their full resolve and strength.

"Even as he is… Yasha still refuses to go down easily… He is truly intent on ensuring that Asura has what it takes to save Gaea and everyone living on it." Meiling remarked with respect at Yasha's determination to fight despite his condition.

"Out of all of the Seven Deities… he's the only one I can respect and understand." Suika stated.

Asura then leapt back, after stunning Yasha with a powerful punch to the abdomen, before then rushing forward at ludicrous speeds, gaining momentum.

Press Y at the right time!

Asura then threw a rushing punch that sent Yasha tumbling across the entire ground, before he then dug his heels into the ground, and charged back at Asura.

Press A!

Asura then leapt towards Yasha, as the two of them were hurtling at each other, with each a fist raised to slug each other mid-air.

Press Y at the right time!

With thunderous force, the two managed to land their blows on each other, with fists grinding against their cheeks.

Mash B!

"12500 years hasn't changed you at all!" Yasha exclaimed. "Asura!"

"Shut up!" Asura screamed, before the force of their exchanged blows sent them flying to opposite sides of the makeshift arena, cratered onto the ground.

Flick the left joystick up!

As if they were in sync, both of them got up to their feet, as Yasha looked fairly ragged, compared to Asura being merely scuffed from the blow, even though the black-haired demi-god did not make that apparent to Asura.

"Do you think that someone like you could do something as important as to save the world?" Yasha asked Asura. "You are just a fool that only knows how to break things!"

"Then I will break everything!" Asura bellowed with determination. "Including this living hell!"

"I grow tired of your face. I think it is time we finished this!" Yasha declared, before he then ignited the last reserves of his own energy, as the marking on his body glowed a bright blue, with a blue aura around him.

Flick the left joystick left and the right joystick right!

"Gladly!" Asura responded back, as he mustered a red aura of his own.

The two of them began to clash more violently than before, as their fighting created massive gusts that buffeted the entire area, as Suika and Meiling were forced to shield themselves from those winds and the dust it kicked up, even shaking the ground with each blow they threw.

"You never change!" Asura remarked, launching a over-head strike that sent Yasha skidding across the ground, piling up the earth as he slid.

"Look who's talking!" Yasha stated, before he then flash-stepped back, and cut Asura in rapid succession with both hands.

Asura quickly recovered, before Yasha then rushed forward, with intent to slam Asura into the ground. However, Asura managed to predict the attack quickly enough, to grab Yasha's other hand, as the two of them skidded back.

"This… is your…" Yasha remarked.

"What are you mumbling about!?" Asura exclaimed, before he then swung Yasha aside, before launching a powerful haymaker that sent Yasha right into a nearby canyon wall, cratering it.

Asura then began to rapidly fire energy blasts at Yasha, who recovered, before firing at Asura with several massive blade waves, that Asura evaded, before they got closer to each other, in striking distance.

"Once a fool, always a fool!" Yasha stated, as he tried to strike Asura with swift kicks.

"Speak for yourself!" Asura stated, before he then stamped right down on Yasha's foot, trapping them both in close combat, as they wrestled with each other to pin the other down.

"Overgrown ape…!" Yasha growled, as he went for a headbutt, arching his head back.

"Stubborn bastard!" Asura retorted back, before he did the same, as both of them struck their heads against each other, although Asura was far more powerful, sending Yasha flying back.

However, Asura was not done, as he gathered his energy to his fist, before rushing towards Yasha again.

Press Y at the right time!

Asura arched back his fist, only for it to be blocked by Yasha's fist, as they pressed against each other.

Press Y at the right time!

Asura then threw his other fist at Yasha, who did the same, as the two of them pushed against each other.

Press Y at the right time!

Asura and Yasha butted heads again, although this time, Yasha was prepared enough to withstand the blow, before they then leapt back.

Press B!

Asura then went for a uppercut towards Yasha, only for him to leap over, and counter the attack with a downward fist strike that pressed against his uppercut, before they then traded several blows with each other.

Press B!

Asura then managed to land a direct blow on Yasha's abdomen, sending him back once more, who flipped through the air, and then leaping into the air, and spinning himself, turning his attack into a spinning strike.

Press Y!

Asura and Yasha then clashed leg to arm, as the attack was enough to cause the entire ground around them to rumble violently.

Mash B!

Press Y at the right time!

The aura around Asura turned rainbow, as he began to tap into the energy of his newly-installed Mantra Reactor, sending Yasha flying back with such great force, that the demi-god couldn't recover quick enough, as he bounced across the ground several times, before stopping against the same canyon wall he was knocked into.

As soon as Yasha recovered, he barely managed to dodge a powerful uppercut that Asura threw, as it created a massive shockwave that caused cracks to form right on the canyon wall, even though the fist never connected with the rock structure.

Yasha then leapt over Asura, before then going for another charge attack, as Asura did the same.

Press A!

They kicked themselves off the ground, hurtling towards each other, as Asura crossed his arms.

Flick the left joystick left and the right joystick right!

With a roar, Asura's rainbow aura brightened once more, as he and Yasha cocked back their fists for the decisive blow.

Press Y at the right time!

The impact of the blow literally caused several rock formations to collapse, as Suika was knocked onto her bottom from the tremor, while Meiling barely managed to keep her footing, as the two demi-gods turned into comets of rainbow and blue energy for Asura and Yasha respectively.

Mash B!

Asura ==|================== Yasha

Asura began to accumulate more power, as Yasha began to notice that his final gambit was working.

Asura ========|============ Yasha

"Yes! That's it!" Yasha exclaimed."Show me your power!"

Asura ================|==== Yasha

The auras began to grow for both sides, before Yasha's own aura began to stop growing, while Asura's was growing rapidly.

Asura ====================| Yasha

Press the Right Trigger!

Asura then forced himself through, breaking Yasha's attack, leaving the demi-god defenseless for the blow to come.

Press Y at the right time!

Asura then launched a powerful hay-maker that sent Yasha right to the other side of the field, as the force implanted Yasha right into the cliffside. However, Yasha refused to stay down, even after taking such a critical blow, staggering forward.

Meiling and Suika noticed that Yasha seemed to be vacant in his motions, limping forward, as Asura ran towards him.

"...The fight's over." Meiling declared, closing her eyes for a moment.

Yasha then used every single last drop of his strength, even his waning lifeforce, to rush right at Asura, as the two prepared to sock each other with a upper hook, as time began to slow for both Yasha and Asura.

Press Y at the right time… to end the fight?

As the moments passed, Yasha's attack in fact went wide, as Asura's fist was going right for Yasha's head, which meant that it was a sure-fire death sentence for the dying demi-god. However, Yasha merely smiled with a hint of satisfaction.

Asura noticed the change in expression, as he halted his fist only an inch before Yasha's masked face, kicking up a massive gust that blew the wrapping around his torso. This allowed Asura to notice that Yasha had a massive gaping hole where his Mantra Reactor was, as Asura's chest opened itself to reveal the newly activated Mantra Reactor underneath.

Asura took a look at the implanted Mantra Reactor, then right back at Yasha, before giving off a melancholic expression, as Yasha began to transform into particles of energy, as his mask shattered into tiny pieces, revealing the melancholic eyes underneath, as they were void of any life, completing Yasha's expression of grim acceptance and satisfaction. It conveyed a very clear message to Asura.

'Go… Save Mithra… and the world.'

Soon, the broken fragments of the mask faded away into light particles, as Yasha began to disappear as well.

"...You idiot." Asura muttered quietly, bowing his head slightly, before he then saw Yasha's extended fist.

Flick the left joystick left… to see your old friend off.

Asura then bumped his fist against Yasha's own, as Yasha finally faded away, while Asura looked at his own fist.

"You were always a brother, never an enemy." Asura told himself, as he clasped his fist with his other hand, kneeling down in a sign of respect to the late demi-god that he had been close with for millenia.

After Asura was done mourning Yasha's loss, Meiling and Suika approached him, as he noticed the two of them.

"...Asura, I'm sorry that it had to come to this." Meiling stated with genuine sympathy.

"...It was his choice all along." Asura answered back. "I bet that he told you not to interfere with what he did."

"He died entrusting the hopes of a new future to you." Suika answered back. "...It's only right that you carry the torch, and show Chakravartin your new power… the power that will exceed him."

"I will finish this once and for all." Asura declared, before he then walked away from the field, as Suika and Meiling followed him.

Asura then led him towards Shinkoku, where there was an intact ship for them to pilot, as they began to ride on its bow, completely automated, thanks to the power of Asura's Mantra Reactor, as they ascended through the skies, to outer space, where their true final battle would begin.

"Wait for me… Mithra." Asura declared to himself.

"...Just a little longer… and this will all be finally over." Meiling added.

"We're coming, Richard. This time, things will be different. We'll show you that we gained strength that can be used to protect you… as you have done for us." Suika remarked, clenching her fist.
