To Become Magic Knights
Clover Kingdom, Common Realm, Kikka
Asta, Lily and Yano were making their way thou a busy city as they passed street vendors selling their wares each thing that was there was incredibly overpriced.
"How's the covering Asta," Yuno asked as he looked at the leather gauntlet that covered his arm.
With his tan brown leather with what looked like brass knuckles, "Is ok," Asta replied as he looked at the leather gauntlet, "I just hope I don't have to use that magic," He told them.
"I know you're talking about the demonic magic, but it sounds like you're talking about me," Liebe said to his human brother.
"Who's the one that gave me that magic, thou," Asta asked the devil.
"That's fair," Liebe said as the three humans saw a coliseum coming up before they saw a castle off in the distance.
It was the castle that belonged to the Magic King.
"That's going to be ours, Yuno, Lily," Asta said as they looked at the castle.
"Yes, it's going to be me that will be the head of the house," Yuno told Asta.
"Oh yea," Asta asked her.
"That's right," Yuno said as Lily shook her head.
As they walked up to the coliseum, they found the entrance with barriers on either side of the gate with people yelling at them.
"YOU CAN DO IT," A child yelled as they watched the many people walk into the building.
"DO YOUR BEST," A man yelled to everyone entering the coliseum.
"THE KINGDOM NEEDS YOU ALL," A woman yelled to them as Yuno looked at Lily, who turned to Asta.
"Well, tell your captain about your heritage," She asked him.
Asta looked up at the coliseum for a bit before closing his eyes, "Only when I know when I can trust them," Asta told them.
"And to see if you can find your uncle," Yuno asked him.
"That I don't know," Asta said.
As they walked in, there was a large round tower with nine windows with a man behind a desk.
All three joined a line with many people waiting, and Asta looked at some of the other of the lines were about the same size as the one they were in for to go for the exam, and after a while, Yuno walked up to a man behind a deck.
"Name and place of origin," The man asked her.
"I'm Yuno from Hage," Yuno told him.
"Ok then, Yuno from Hage," The man said as he wrote the information down, "And your grimoire," He asked her.
Yuno pulled out her green grimoire, and the man spotted the number of leaves on the clover on the cover before holding out a hand, and it gave off a green glow, "OK, you number 164," He told Yuno who walked away as Asta walked up.
"Name and place of origin," The man asked him.
"Asta, also from Hage," Asta said as he pulled out his grimoire, and the man looked confused by the number of leaves.
"Are you sure that this is a real grimoire," The man asked Asta as the dragon magic user nodded, "Alright then," The man said as he held a hand, it glowed its rainbow aura.
"Alright then, it's real," The man said as he made a note, "Anyway, your number 165," He told Asta.
"Got it," Asta said as he stepped out of the line as Lily walked up.
"Name and place of origin," The man asked her.
"Lily Aquaria from Hage," Lily said as she showed the man her gold and blue grimoire.
Now the man was confused as first he saw a four-leaf, then a six-leaf, now a five-leaf, "What the hell is going on," He thought as the man held out his hand; it then made the grimoire give off a cyan glow, "Your number is 166," He told her as she nodded as the three people from Hage walked off.
They soon made their way into a large area filled with people waiting for the exam to begin; soon, birds started to fly in, and Asta noted that they looked like the bird that had followed them.
The birds started to fly around everyone, with some people attacking more, and Lily had two on her, one on each shoulder.
Asta practically had a nest of these birds in his hair, with the bird that had followed him being the one in the front.
Yuno, on the other hand, had none around her.
Asta sniffed the air before turning to see a man making his way through the crowd, and he was smoking.
He was a tall man with a very muscular build, grey eyes, messy black hair, and a stubble moustache and beard.
The man's attire looked simple and consisted only of a white A-shirt and black trousers; the trousers had an extra layer of tan leather covering his outer thighs and down to his knees.
Over the man's right shoulder, he had a black banner with the squad's insignia on it, as the banner also had tattered edges, seeming to have been ripped off from a bigger banner.
"Hay it, one of the magic captains," Someone said.
"They're here," Yuno said as she looked up as Asta and Lily also looked up to see people walking into a spot above the area.
As soon as the people reached the chairs that were up there, all but the bird that followed the three from Hage stayed on Asta's head.
"There, the captains," A woman said.
"Yea, the Black Bull captain was walking around," A man beside her said.
"Aren't they the bottom of the bottom," The woman asked him.
"That's right," The man said.
"I see; then I just have to get the man to pick me to join his squad," Asta thought as he looked at the captain in the crowd making his way up to the chairs.
One captain walked up to a rail, the captain was a man of average height with a lean build, and the three of them could barely see his purple eyes through his helmet, which also functions as a mask that obscures the upper half of his face.
The mask is elaborate and comprises a large gold piece covering his right eye, has a red border outline, with two lines sticking out on both the top and a smaller blue part covering the area around his left eye, with the same design as the right but in white with long lines; the helmet has white and red patches of fur on the back edge and two white feathers that stick up on the left side.
The man was dressed in a double-breasted and long-sleeved shirt with a high collar in blue and gold with blue in the centre with white around the sides and sleeves are purely white; the shirt also had gold trimmings and buttons can be seen on the blue portion of the front of the shirt.
Over his shirt, the man wears the squad robe, which covers his torso and is gold in colour; it has a blue-coloured fur trim around the border of the hood, and a pair of red ropes, which come from the left shoulder and connect to the gold-coloured button on the right shoulder and on the left-hand side is positioned the squad's insignia, and Asta can see that underneath his robe, the captain wears a long red cloak that reaches his ankles.
"Attention examinees," The captain called out as everyone looked up at him, "Thank you for waiting; I will be administrating this year's entrance exam," He told them as he held up his grimoire.
Pages flipped themselves before they stopped as a tree formed in the sky as its roots spiralled down, creating brooms for each of the people there.

"Now it's time for the entrance exam to begin," He told them as the smoking man looked down at everyone.
Or, more precisely, Asta.
"What is it, Yami," A man asked him.
The now-named Yami turned to the captain on his left, to another tall man with purple eyes, a red diamond shape on his forehead and long, straight vermillion hair that was neatly combed to the back while leaving his long fringe combed to the left in a wavy hairstyle. One of his notable features is the red markings around his eyes.
The man's clothing consists of a white tunic that is covered by a dark blue shirt with long sleeves and a high collar, as the shirt is decorated with gold-coloured fabric with vertical stripes designed on its edges, collars, and along the sleeves with a purple sash around the man's waist that was there to keep his white trousers up and he had high black boots that had a similar design that was on the shirt and a pair of red earrings.
He wore his squad's signature robe that only covered his torso as the robe had intricate gold designs at the lower front edge and complemented by a scarf of similar red colour with a pair of gold-coloured ropes are protruding from between the scarf and the robe front and a purple stone is decorating each end.
"That boy down there with the grey hair, I think I've seen him before," Yami said as the man looked confused while the captain was explaining the exam, "What do you mean," The captain in red asked.
"I know I've seen him before, but I can't remember where I've seen him," Yami told him.
He then saw people start to fly on the brooms as the grey-haired boy was doing very well.
With Asta
Asta focused on using his dragon slayer magic to activate the broom while his eyes were slit before someone hovered over him.
It was a lean build, and medium-length blond hair was combed backwards and held together with a black hairband, leaving only several strands left hanging in front of his forehead.
His attire consists of a grey shirt with a dark grey vest with a wide V-shaped collar on top of it, white trousers, and a pair of black high boots with a couple of tan belts.
"So your also not using your full power like me, uh," The man said as Asta looked over to him, "I'm Sekke and how about the two of us work together," He asked Asta.
"Nice to meet you; my name's Asta," Asta told him.
"He's up to something," Liebe said to his brother.
"And if I can make him look weak, I can join the Golden Dawn," Sekke thought as he laughed while Asta narrowed his eyes at him.
After another ten minutes, the exam conductor called out, "Alright, that's enough," He yelled out as some people hung their heads as they could not use the broom they were given.
Everyone landed while everyone looked back at the man, "Now the next is to test your magic power," He told them as walls of stone formed out of the ground, "You may use your strongest spell at it so that we can understand how strong you are," He continued.
Yuno walked up to one and held out her hand as she shot out a blade of wind while Lily sent out a blast of holy magic.
"Fire Dragon's Roar," Asta called out as he sent a spiralling blast of flames at his wall.
Asta stepped back as he walked up to Lily and Yuno, who looked over at him, "Why are you not going full power," Yuno asked him.
"See that blond guy over there," Asta said as he pointed a thumb over his shoulder.
"Yes, I see him," Lily said.
"Well, I think he wants to look stronger than someone that has a lot of power," Asta said as the women looked confused, "I'm only using a small portion of my power as ifI went all out; something bad could happen," He told them.
"Alright, them, but do try to keep heading to join a squad," Yuno told him.
"Don't worry; I already know who I must try to get me in their squad," Asta said as he looked up at the smoking captain.
After an hour, the captain in charge of the exam yelled, "Alright, that is enough of that test," He told them as he turned to someone next to him before nodding his head.
"Now your next test is to see the control you have of your magic," The man told them as they looked up as paper targets started to move thru the air.
Asta spotted one of the targets before throwing out a leaf, "Shikigami Kooni," Asta called out as a Shikigami Kooni formed.
He then put his hands together with his thumbs curled in, his index fingers extended while his middle fingers cured around the index fingers, "Shikigami Kooni: Spear of the Forest," Asta called out as he sent as the Shikigami Kooni shot out, then zoomed thou one of the targets.

A woman looked down at Asta, confused, "Just what is his magic," She thought.
The woman was tall with upper-back length blonde hair that was braided and tied back into a bun with only a single lone braid hanging down on the left side of her face while she had bangs swept to the left side, light blue eyes with long visible eyelashes and full pink lips.
She was dressed in armour with a fancy decorated helmet with a single fin protruding from the top.
Under the breastplate, she wears a black one-piece undershirt that extends out to her hands and acts as sleeveless gloves; she also wears a short blue skirt, which is visible underneath a longer leather-like skirt that is open on the front.
She has white trousers tucked into her thigh-high black socks, which have leather cuffs at the ends with shin armour and armoured boots.
She finishes her look with a long, flowing blue cape that reaches down to her ankles, along with the robe secured at the centre of her chest with a buckle that shows their squad's insignia.
"You confused about the boy as well," Yami called out to her as he looked down at the grey-haired boy.
The woman looked over at him, "Yes, he has shown three types of magic already, with them being fire and wood magic, and for some reason, I don't think that is all that boy has to offer," She told him.
"I think you're right," Yami said before spotting the nun down there, "And now a nun is going for a magic knight position," Yami said as the woman and the man in red looked over.
"Well, she would not be the first," The man in the red cape said.
One hour Later, Exam Area
"Now for the, you must make something with your magic to show creativity," The helmet-wearing captain told them.
"Wind Creation Magic: Swift White Hawk," Yuno called out, a hawk made out of wind from above her.
"Water Creation Magic: Water Shark Bomb," Lily called out as water burst out of her grimoire and took the form of a shark.
On the other hand, Asta pulled out some chalk and started to draw a circle on the ground as Sekke looked over at him, "What is he doing and who was those woman that he talked to," He asked himself in thought.
Asta slammed his hands down on the circle; as it glowed blue, the ground started to rise in the form of a statue of a dragon sitting down.
"What is this guy's magic," Sekke thought as he looked up at the statue Asta had made out of the ground.
The same could be said of the others, bar from Yuno and Lily was thinking and asking themselves what Asta's magic was, and they were not coming up with an answer.
Then, after one more hour of people making things from their magic, the examiner called out, "Alright, that's enough."
Everyone stopped doing what they were doing as they looked up at him once more, "Now it is time for the final part of the exam, and it is a combat test he told them when Sekke started to walk over to Asta.
The captain with the red cape got up, "As a magic knight, it is our job to fight with all our might," He told them all as Asta could see someone that looked like a younger version of the man nod.
"Now the fights will be one on one to show your strength," The examiner told them as everyone looked at each other, "Now we want you to use your full power so we can see what you can truly do," He told them all.
"Asta, let's do battle," Sekke said as Asta looked at him.
"So that was his plan to see if he could beast someone that he saw was below him and get a free pass into a magic knight squad," Asta thought as anger arose.
"I would normally say do not let anger cloud your mind, but," The Spirit of Earth said to Asta, "But I hate people like this man in front of us, so burn him," He told Asta.
"Alright then, Sekke," Asta told him with a nod, but thinking, "Spirit of Fire will you help me discipline him," He asked her.
"I will," She told him as Sekke and Asta stood apart as a man in a robe walked up to them.
"Are you both ready," The robed man asked them as they nodded their head, "And begin the battle," He told them as the man in the robe stepped back.
"ALRIGHT, ASTA, DON'T HOLD BACK NOW," Sekke yelled out as his grimoire gave off a greenish-blue glow before as round him greenish blue light manifests a transparent sphere around him with the sphere having several peaks at random positions and over it had an intricate pattern across its surface, "Bronze Creation Magic: Sekke's Magnum Cannonball," He called out once it was finished making the ball around.
"I'm entirely safe in this spell now, and when he tires himself out, I can attack him with some blasts of magic," Sekke thought as he looked at Asta.
And Asta did care or looked impressed by it, "Is that meant to do something," Asta asked him as Sekke looked shocked before Asta let out a sigh, "And your plan is just wrong," Asta said as the captains looked interested.
"What do you mean," Sekke asked the grey-haired teen.
"You just want to skate by without effort while other people are actually trying," Asta said as his grimoire with a white hilt oped out of it, "And I bet you just want to be a magic knight for the money and women, right," Asta asked him as Sekke stepped back slightly.
"Yea, what of it," He yelled at Asta as the captains shook their heads.
"That is not why you should be a magic knight," Asta told him as he pulled the hilt out and saw that the captain with the black robe was leaning forward to get a better look at the sword.
The sword was a Katana with a traditional yet still stunning pure white wrapped around a grey samegawa covering the hilt, leaving a conventional diamond-shaped pattern.
The end has a nice, simplistic kashira of the same colour as the tsuba also conveys a harmony of simplicity: It consists of a rounded oval, thick tsuba from which the blade goes through in a lovely metallic golden colour.
The inner bo-hi is a deep black, while the outer ha, or edge, is a shining white and the blade of the Katana curves slightly towards the end with a stunning sharp tip that cuts through foes.
"You should join them to aid the kingdom and save the lives of her people," Asta said as his grimoire started to flip pages before it landed on the Shaman Magic chapter, "But people like you sully the name of the Magic Knights and allow me to educate you," Asta said as flames formed behind him.

"I can't believe it," Yami said as he looked at the sword.
"What is it, Yami," The woman in armour asked him.
He turned to her, and for the first time, she saw a tear in his eyes, "That sword belonged to my older brother, and he wrote to be said that he had passed it on to his son," Yami told her as her eyes shot wide, "And that sword is one of legend from my homeland," Yami told her as the rest of the captains looked shocked.
"What is that blade's name," Another captain asked.
The captain was a slender male with fair skin, narrow purple eyes, and small eyebrows; he had pale, long straight silver-white hair worn in a very distinctive style that had a braid that hung between his eyes and down to the tip of the nose, where a small pendant is attached, and the top of the upper side portions of his hair is heavily styled and swept back into a long spiky fringe.
The man was wearing a loose-fitting shirt with a high collar kept closed at the top by a gold band but left open below to expose his collarbone, loose pants with tight bands just below the knee, and flimsy sandals.
His magic knight robe consists of a short, fur mantle with longer, frilled panels that hang down to the elbow and have the squad insignia on the left side of their robes.
He also had a mantle to his attached robe that was long enough to reach nearly his feet.
"Wado Ichimonji," Yami told him, "It was created by a master blacksmith by the name of Shimotsuki Kozaburo," Yami told his fellow captains.
"And with you saying that it belonged to our brother, and you said that he passed it down to his son," The woman said as Yami nodded his head.
"He is my nephew," Yami said with a nod.
"Are you going to accept him to the squad," The person behind Yami asked him.
The person was a slender young man of average height and build, He had droopy eyes, and his light brown hair was somewhat unruly.
His outfit consists of a white undershirt, and he wears a light green, loose-fitting tunic with long sleeves and long tails at the back with dark trousers and a green pair of wide, knee-high boots that lace up the front. He has his black mantle over his shoulder and his grimoire holder on his left hip.
He also wears a pair of green earrings.
"I'll think about it, but seeing him use more of his magic, I think I will, and I want to ask him something about his father," Yami said as the man behind him nodded.
"But you're still going to add him," The captain in the red roble said to him.
"Why don't you tell me, Fuegoleon," Yami said back to him.
Exam Area
"Let's go, Spirit of Fire," Asta yelled as the Spirit of Fire formed out of the flames behind Asta as she loomed over him, looking down at Sekke.
"W-what is th-that," Sekke asked as he looked up at her.
"She is the original spirit of all fire, the Spirit of Fire," Asta said as he held up his hand in the air, "Spirit of Fire, Spirit Ball Mode," Asta called out as the Spirit of Fire turned into her spirit ball.
"Spirit Integration," Asta yelled as he pushed the orb into Wado Ichimonji before the blade turned a bright red.
Over the body of Wado Ichimonji, plating that looked like the Spirit of Fire formed over the Katana.
"Over-Soul S.O.F. Spirit of Sword," Asta called out as the area around Asta started to heat up.
Sekke started to see that the ground was beginning to give off steam, "What the fuck did he just do," He yelled in his mind as Asta changed his stance with the ground starting to crack under his feet.
"People like you make me sick thinking that they can not even try and can get what they want," Asta growled as his body started to steam like the ground with flames formed around him, "Allow me to show you the difference between us," Asta told him as he burst of speed he dashed forward.
Asta cut the sphere as it broke apart before Asta rounded up on him with his gauntlet that glowed crimson and punched Sekke into a wall.
"Listen carefully, you piece of shit, because I will only tell you once," Asta growled at Sekke as people looked shocked at what Asta had just done.
"Actually, try to do something, or you will never get anywhere in life," Asta growled at him.
"Winner examinee 165," The robed man yelled out.
Yuno gained a smile as she looked at the stanging tall Asta while some medics ran off to pull Sekke out of the wall, "Same old Asta," She thought.
Captain Area
Yami burst out in laughter at what just happened while Fugolion smiled, "I think that I put in an offer for him to join my squad," He said to Yami.
"Please, if your sister catches a whiff of him, she will either fight him to the death because of his magic or shill fuck him and try and have his child," Yami said with Fugolion nodded.
"Mereleona is like that, but I can't help but wonder what his magic is called," Fugolion said as the man behind Yami lifted up a bit of paper.
"It says here that examinee 165 has got a six-leaf clover," He told them.
The captain looked over at the man, "How many leaves," The armoured woman asked with narrowed eyes.
"Six, and the man that registered wrote that his grimoire can do multiple types of magic from what he wrote," He said to the captains but mainly his.
"Did they say what types of magic," A woman behind the silver-haired captain asked him
She was a tall, slender woman with the narrow, pointed features prominent in the other Silvas and pink eyes and like her captain, she had silver-white hair that was slightly wavy and was left loose at the lower back while the sides and top were swept back in tousled spikes with her bangs are combed to a point on her forehead.
She wore a loose-fitting top with a high collar held in place by a gold band with a more extended, light tunic; she wore a darker, flowing skirt that was angled so that one side was lower than the other and strappy, flat-heeled sandals.
And from the way they looked, they looked like siblings.
"This does not say, but from what we can see, it holds great power, and it may be on the level as the wizard king," He told them as they looked at him.
The man with silver hair looked down at Asta before nodding, "I think your right," He said as his sister looked shocked.
"Nozel, what are you saying he's a commoner; he has no power," She told the now-named Nozel.
"Nebra, he had one of the ancient spirits on his side, and he can use something that is not magic but something stronger than magic," Nozel told Nebra as she looked at him in shock like the man behind Yami.
"What do you mean," He asked him.
"From what that young man had called out, he said Spirit of Fire, not Salamander," Fugolion told the man.
"And because of that, he has one of the original five elemental spirits that helped make the creation of the planes of creation," Yami added for them.
"So that means that this boy is blessed by the Great Spirit, the spirit in charge of everyone on this plane," The armoured woman told them finished as Nebra looked shocked.
Exam Area
"So, how was your fight," Lily asked him as Yuno walked up for her fight.
"It was alright, but I wish I had fought someone that could actually fight," Asta told her, "But with them all being high and mighty but what should expect from nobles and royals," Asta said as people around him were angered by him before Yuno sent out a blast of wind and blasted her opponent into the same wall that Sekke was blasted into.
"Winner examinee 164," The robed man yelled out.
Yuno walked back out as another woman was staring down Lily, "I'll take you on," She told Lily as Lily just walked up.
Lily said nothing as she got ready, "Are you both ready," The robed man asked the two of them.
They both nodded, "Begin," And the woman versing Lily started to gather flames around her.
"Holy Magic: Celestial Arrow," Lily called out as she sent out a blast of Holy magic at her opponent.
The blast burst thou the flames, hit the woman and sent her into the same wall that both Asta and Yuno had sent their opponents into.
"What this hell is with them three," Someone yelled out.
"They're not even from a noble or royal family; how are they this powerful," Another person asked.
"Just who are they," A man asked someone elce.
"I don't know," Another said.
