NOTE: Oddly it feels like this story went from about Loid and Gohan meeting to Piccolo and Anya meeting. Eh, whatever.

This is the end of the story. I hope you all enjoyed up till now and have fun with this chapter. Who knows, maybe I'll write more Spy x Family and DB crossovers.

Enjoy and Review

Chapter 5: Family x Demon

"Anya, will you stop pacing back and forth?" Loid asked. The Forger patriarch watched as his daughter walked circles around Bond, muttering to herself.

"Can't, Papa. Anya is fokushed."

"It's focused and why are you focused?"

Anya blinked for a moment before coming up with a lie. "Uh…Anya can't decide which toy to show Pan when she gets here!"

"Hm…I see. Wouldn't it make more sense to show her all of them?" Loid suggested.

"Ah!" Anya exclaimed. "Why didn't Anya think of that!?" Anya rushed off to her room to get her toys sorted out. Bond followed his young master to her bedroom.

With his daughter distracted for the moment Loid turned his attention to the other troubled Forger. His wife looked distracted as she was cutting up some onions, he had asked her to prepare. Normally one would be concerned about someone not paying attention while using a knife, but since it was Yor he didn't feel panicked. What was troubling him though was how distracted Yor seemed to be after coming home from her outing with Yuri yesterday.

"Yor, is something the matter?" Loid asked.

She perked up from the sound of his voice, pausing her cutting. "W-what do you mean, Loid?"

"Something's been troubling you for a while, I didn't ask at first because I figured it was something personal between you and your brother. But whatever it is still seems to be bothering you."

Yor didn't answer immediately, seemingly still stewing over her thoughts. The city worker was staring at him with an unfamiliar look of curiosity and uncertainty. It made Loid a bit nervous, especially since the Sons would be over in a few hours. Was she changing her mind about the dinner already? But she was looking forward to it, maybe it was a mistake to arrange this without talking to her first-

"Is it okay?" Yor's question broke the spy out of his thoughts.

"Is what okay?"

"Being normal? Is it okay to try and be normal? Even when you're not normal." Yor asked him, her eyes hungry for an answer.

Loid froze on the spot, which was usually uncharacteristic for him. He had to mull over that question for a solid minute, because the idea of being normal went against what this family's entire goal was. The Forgers are a fake family, built upon lies (His own lies, unaware of Yor and Anya's lies). Loid grabbed a hold of himself to respond to Yor. "What brought this on?"

"Yesterday, Yuri and I met three interesting people. One of them was Son Gohan's little brother, his friend, and then Son Gohan's father."

Loid blinked.

Like, he actually had to blink repeatedly, because what were the odds of something like this happening? "Are you sure?" Franky's intel had said that Gohan's parents and brother didn't live in Ostiana, just how would they have even managed to get here so suddenly?

Yor nodded her head. "Goten said so himself. When we were talking with each other he and Yuri got into a little argument."

"Probably about you, I'm sure." Loid assumed. That was always the case with Yuri.

"It was during that argument that Goten mentioned that his father was dead. Only for him to appear a few moments later."

"His father was dead? Franky's files didn't mention that." Loid nodded his head. "I'm sure it was just a kid's rambling. I'm sure there was an incident that happened to their family, leading him to think his father was dead."

Yor slowly nodded her head. "Yes, you're probably right. You know more about this stuff than I do."

"Is this all that was bothering you?" Loid asked.

Yor shook her head. "It's just that ever since meeting the Son family it's been making me think about our own family. Our fake one." Yor's voice strained slightly when she said their family was fake. She likes to believe that their family is real even with it being built on lies.

"And?" Loid did his best to hide his own nerves.

"I just think that maybe it'll be better to stop faking. There's so much about the Sons that feels not normal, so would it really be so wrong to stop hiding who we are?"

"Anya could show her this one, or this one, or even this one!" Anya tossed toys around her room as Bond sat patiently behind her. "What do you think, Bond?" Anya asked her dog.

"Woof!"

"Yeah, Anya thinks Pan will like them too!"

Bond shook his head. "Woof!"

"Hm?" Anya tilted her head. "What's wrong, Bond? Your tummy hurts?"

"Woof!"

Anya frowned, not sure what it was Bond was trying to tell her. The telepath wracked her small brain trying to remember what Bond was saying until she remembered his earlier vision. "AH! The green man!" Anya freaked out, dropping her toys. "What's Anya gonna do about him!?"

"Woof!"

Anya stared at Bond. "Oh! That's a great idea, Bond! Together, we'll stop that green guy from taking Anya away from mama and papa!" She hugged her dog tightly.

"Now remember, Piccolo, if they ask any questions about you then just tell them you have a strange complexion illness." Videl coached Piccolo.

"I get it, Videl." Piccolo responded. He and the Sons were getting out of the car after arriving at the Forgers' apartment building. Gohan was currently getting the food out of the car as Pan bounced excitedly on her feet.

"I know, I just want to make sure our bases are covered. This country isn't used to all the things we are used to." Videl said.

"Everything will be fine, Mama. Mr. Piccolo wouldn't hurt a fly." Pan reassured her mother. Videl just smiled down at her daughter, patting the girl's head.

"I know, baby. But the Forgers won't know that."

Piccolo shook his head, turning to see Gohan struggling to hold all of the dishes that Videl had prepared for the evening. Sighing at his former student, Piccolo swiped a few dishes from Gohan and held them.

"Ah, thanks Piccolo!" Gohan smiled.

"Don't worry about it." Piccolo said.

The Sons and Piccolo made their way into the apartment building with Gohan directing Videl on which floor the apartment was on. Once they made it Videl knocked on the door and waited patiently for the Forgers to open it. Since the door wasn't answered immediately Videl took that time to check Pan's hair and outfit, much to the little girl's annoyance.

"Mama!" Pan whined.

"Sorry, sweetie. Just making sure." Videl kissed the top of her head. She looked towards her husband and sighed, there was just no possible way of making that hair of his neat in any fashion. She was glad that Pan had gotten her hair instead.

CLICK!

Videl turned back to the door as it opened up, revealing Yor Forger, dressed in her usual red sweater. The Forger matriarch smiled brightly at the Sons. "Hello! We're happy that you all could make it here safely!"

Videl bowed respectfully at Yor, confusing the assassin. "Oh, it's just how we greet each other back home. We're happy that we could be here with your family as well."

"Of course, c'mon in." Yor welcomed the Sons into her home. The assassin looked down to see Pan following after Videl. "And you must be Pan. Anya's new friend."

Pan smiled brightly. "Yes! Anya is pretty funny and nice. Thank you for having us, Mrs. Forger."

"It's our pleasure." Yor responded and watched as Gohan came in next. "And you're Son Gohan, right?"

Gohan couldn't bow or anything due to the items in his arms. "That's right. Thank you for becoming friends with Videl and all. Sorry to be a bother."

"It's no issue at all. I hope we can become friends as well tonight." Yor said. Gohan felt the same and continued into the home. This time Yor was surprised by who followed after, not expecting anyone other than Gohan and Pan to be joining Videl. She definitely didn't expect to see anyone with green skin and with such odd clothing.

Seeing Yor staring at Piccolo made Gohan and Videl slightly nervous, until Yor's face looked worried. "Oh no, your skin is all green! Are you feeling well tonight?"

Videl comically fell over as Gohan just chuckled in relief. Piccolo sweat dropped, reminded of Goku for some reason.

Piccolo grunted. "I'm just fine. Thank you for asking."

"I see." Yor was relieved. "Could I ask for your name?"

"It's Piccolo."

"Nice to meet you, Piccolo. My name is Yor Forger. Come right in." Yor moved out of the way.

"Thank you." Piccolo entered with the rest of the plates.

From the kitchen Loid had heard everything and was slightly confused on this Piccolo. He had information about all of Son Gohan and Videl's connections. Not one of them had ever mentioned who this Piccolo was and now this unknown factor was in his household. Drying off his hands, looking out of the kitchen, Loid's eyes widened at the sight of Piccolo. Never before had he seen anyone like that, which made him all the more nervous about tonight. The Twilight part of him wanted to uncover everything about Piccolo to ensure the safety of Operation Strix and the Loid side of him wanted to do it to ensure the safety of his family.

He had to tread carefully tonight.

Loid put on his best smile. "Welcome! I'm glad you all could make it." He exited the kitchen to greet the Sons. Looking closer he noticed the big quantity of food that both Piccolo and Gohan were carrying. "That's a lot of food for all of us."

Videl smiled. "Well, to feed these two I always have to make a good amount of food. Though, this is less than what we usually eat."

"Less!?" Loid mentally gaped.

"Anywhere we can put it?" Gohan asked.

"Just set it all down on the table." Loid instructed.

As Piccolo and Gohan were setting down the food, Pan turned to Yor. "Mrs. Forger, where's Anya?"

Yor pointed down the hallway. "Anya's just in her room. Anya! Pan's here!" Yor called for her daughter.

The door to Anya's room opened instantly, a tiny pink blur zoomed out of the room with Bond following slowly behind. "Pan!"

"Anya!"

The two hugged each other tightly, which made the adults in the room smile softly. As they did, Piccolo took in the sight of Anya and felt her KI. After doing so the Namekian softly smiled having felt his own suspicions debunked. Thankfully it seemed that she was indeed an innocent child that wasn't dangerous. The only thing left to take care of was the topic of her abilities.

"Anya! This is my Papa!" Pan introduced her father since Anya already met her mother.

Anya smiled at the two. "OH! So this is Pan's superhero Papa!? He looks kinda lame." Anya thought.

"So, this is Pan's new friend, huh? I can see why Pan gets along with her so much. Their KI is so bright and filled with energy." Gohan mentally said. Anya tilted her head as she read his mind.

"Key? What's Key?"

"It's KI. Not Key."

"BWAH!" Anya screamed, startling everyone.

"Anya, what's wrong?" Loid asked, concerned.

Anya shook slightly. "A-Anya just realized she has a bunch of toys to show Pan and she's wasting time! Let's go, Pan!" Anya grabbed Pan's hand and dragged her off to her room. Not before glancing back at Piccolo, who's eyes met hers, seemingly seeing right through her.

"Did I do something wrong?" Gohan asked.

"N-no. Anya just gets like that sometimes." Loid covered up.

Yor clapped her hands. "How about we all drink some tea as Loid and I set the table. You guys must be tired from driving all the way over here."

Loid agreed. "Yes, that would be perfect. Yor, could you prepare the tea-"

"Just water is fine for me." Piccolo interrupted.

"Just water for Piccolo then." Loid corrected.

Anya and Pan peaked behind the corner with Bond behind them, watching the adults set up the table. The young telepath's eyes were glaring at Piccolo's form. "Green man in sight."

"Green man? You mean Mr. Piccolo?" Pan asked.

"Piccolo? That's a weird name." Anya said, bluntly.

Pan giggled. "Yeah, but Mr. Piccolo is awesome!"

"Awesome? He looks scary! And he might try to take Anya from Mama and Papa!" Anya thought that last part.

Pan shook her head. "Mr. Piccolo is the nicest ever! He watches tv with me, plays with me, and he would pick me up from my old school too!"

"Really?" Anya asked, skeptical.

"Yup! Papa said that Mr. Piccolo may look intimidating, but once you get to know him, he's a big old teddy bear!"

Piccolo flinched, blushing incredibly after overhearing the girl's conversation, drawing Gohan's attention. "Are you okay, Piccolo?"

"Y-yeah…"

Anya mused over Pan's words, she read Pan's thoughts to confirm all of what she had just said. And was shocked to see that Pan was telling the truth, everything going through the half-Saiyan's head were memories of Piccolo babysitting Pan and training her.

Anya turned her attention back to Piccolo with an uncertain look. "Maybe he's not going to take Anya…"

Once everyone was situated at the table, the Forgers were greeted to the glorious sight of watching Saiyans eat. Though, unknowingly to them this was the neatest version of a Saiyans appetite. Both Gohan and Pan were eating large portions of the food compared to Piccolo who only had a glass of water.

"A-are you sure you don't want anything, Piccolo?" Loid asked.

"I'm fine." Piccolo responded. "Namekians don't need to eat. Water is all we need."

"Namekins?" Anya wondered.

"It's pronounced Namekians."

"BWA-!" Anya covered her mouth to prevent another scream. Her head snapping to the direction of Piccolo.

"Miss Anya, are you okay?" Yor asked.

Anya quickly nodded her head. "Anya tried to copy Pan and her Papa."

Videl chuckled. "I wouldn't recommend that. Their appetite is one of a kind. Saiyans and their stomachs…"

"Saiya-jins?" Anya questioned.

"It's Saiyans. Not Saiya-jins."

Anya glared at the Namekian, who held a small smirk. "Is that you!? How are you in Anya's head!?" Anya gasped quietly. "Are you also a telepath!? Were you experimented on too!? Is that why you're the color of barf!?"

"That's disgusting and it has nothing to do with me being green!"

"Is it because you're sick?"

"No." Piccolo sweatdropped. "You're a telepath, aren't you? Read my mind and find out."

Anya did as told and read the thoughts that Piccolo was allowing her to view. The young telepath felt her eyes widen in shock at what she saw. "Alien!? You're an alien!?"

"Yes."

"Aliens, superheroes, a spy, and an assassin!? SO COOL!" Anya shouted in her head. Stars danced in her eyes as she imagined all the possible scenarios that could happen. All of them involve explosions, Bondman, even more explosions, and peanuts. That last thought made Anya pause. "Wait. Do you eat peanuts?"

"No."

"SHOCK!"

While the two were having their mental conversation, Loid kept his eyes on Piccolo. The strange man kept his answers short and to the point and hasn't said much to anyone. From Gohan and Videl's behavior it seemed like this was normal for Piccolo. Even still the top spy had to keep his guard up tonight. Nothing could distract him. Nothing-

"So, Gohan, Loid told me that you study insects. Why did you choose that?" Yor's question snapped him from his thoughts. The spy mentally slapped himself for forgetting that he originally arranged this night to get more info from Gohan and Videl to ensure a higher standing for the Forgers.

"Maybe, I really am slipping…" Loid sighed. "Yes, I would like to know that too."

Gohan paused his eating to answer their question. "O-oh…uh… it's nothing too special. Ever since I was a kid, I've been interested in studying insects. My mom bought a lot of educational books about them since I grew up in the mountains."

"In the mountains! I remember Yuri and I used to go into them when we were younger. Strangely enough we never ran into many animals." Yor said.

"Probably, because they were too scared to mess with you." Loid sweatdropped.

"Why would the two of you go into the mountains?" Videl asked.

"To find food."

"Why? If you don't mind me asking."

"Oh, it's just that we lost our parents in the war. So, I had to find work and make money to keep custody over Yuri. Sometimes we had to scavenge to find things to eat and other times to just explore." Yor's story brought a small air of uneasiness.

Videl felt bad for asking, not knowing it was a touchy subject. "Sorry for bringing it up. That had to have been difficult."

Yor shook her head. "It's fine. That was a long time ago and I'm happy to have been able to raise Yuri into a responsible adult. And I hope to do the same with Miss Anya." Yor smiled fondly. Loid smiled fondly at his wife; her heart was something that he always admired about her.

Gohan smiled, thinking about his mother. "That's really sweet, Yor. Reminds me a lot of my mom when I was growing up. There were a lot of things that happened to us, so my dad wasn't home a lot. I don't blame him for that, because it was always out of his control." Gohan leaned back in his seat. "My mom had to work hard to take care of my brother and I. With Dad gone at the time I had to step up and help my mom a lot more. It was tough, but we made it work."

Loid nodded his head. "I'm assuming your father must've been away for work? What exactly does he do?"

"Oh, he's just a farmer. So sometimes he's just traveling around a lot to make money." It was a half lie, but Loid didn't need to know that.

Yor looked puzzled. "A farmer? Are you sure?"

Gohan and Videl returned the puzzled look. "What do you mean?"

"Are you sure your father isn't a magician?"

"Eh?"

"I met him and your brother the other day. They were a bit strange and did a vanishing act in the middle of the park. It was quite the spectacle." Yor smiled, not noticing just how pale both Videl and Gohan had become.

"Y-y-you met my dad and brother?" Gohan's eyes twitched. His glasses were almost falling off his face.

"Yes!" Yor was still blind to their distress. "They came here for a candy shop and ran into Yuri and I."

Videl was gripping her spoon roughly, bending it. "That's why those two imps showed up…" Videl muttered, referring to Goten and Trunks.

"Is everything okay?" Loid decided to pocket the information for later. Yor hadn't told him about this vanishing act but whatever it was seemed to have triggered both of the adult Sons.

Gohan nodded his head, fixing his glasses. "Y-yes, everything is just fine! My father isn't really a magician, Yor. He's a bit of a trickster sometimes."

"Oh. I see."

"You're just accepting that?" Loid sweatdropped. Though, Loid had to admit that Yor had a point earlier when she mentioned how strange this family was. It was obvious that they had secrets to keep and Piccolo himself was pretty strange. But even with those secrets, they aren't necessarily hiding who they are nor putting on a front. It was all natural as natural can be.

"I just think that maybe it'll be better to stop faking. There's so much about the Sons that feels not normal, so would it really be so wrong to stop hiding who we are?"

Loid remembered Yor's words from earlier and sighed. "That's not a luxury that we can be granted, Yor. Especially not right now." Twilight knew those words were common sense and every spy should follow their common sense. But Loid Forger hated the taste of his own words and wanted to spit them into the trash.

Oblivious to the distress her papa was in, Anya focused on talking with Piccolo. "So, you're not going to take Anya away?"

"No. I just needed to confirm something."

"Comfurm?"

"Confirm and you don't need to worry about that. In fact there's something else that I should tell you about."

"What?"

"I know the people who experimented on you." Piccolo's words made Anya freeze up in fear. While she wasn't scared of the Namekian anymore, the possibility of those scientists coming for her was terrifying.

"T-they're coming for Anya!?"

"No. The organization they belonged to no longer exists. You'll never have to worry about them coming for you. You're safe." Piccolo smiled softly. Considering what he just said Piccolo should've seen it coming, but he still sucked at understanding human emotions.

Pan finally looked up from her plate and noticed it first. "Ah! Anya's crying!"

"What!?" Loid and Yor gave all of their attention to Anya, who was staring at Piccolo with tears streaming down her face. "Anya, what's wrong!?"

Anya stared at her parents, their thoughts of panic and worry flooding into her mind.

"Is Miss Anya okay!? What happened!?"

"Anya's distressed about something. I need to figure out what's wrong!?"

Anya smiled softly as Yor wiped away her tears. "I'm okay, Mama, Papa."

"Why were you crying?" Loid asked.

"Anya's not sad or anything, Papa. Anya is just so happy to have Mama and Papa with her."

"Oh, Miss Anya!" Yor pulled Anya into a hug, shedding some tears herself. Loid just blew some air through his nose, smiling at Anya.

On the other hand, for Piccolo…

"What did you do, Mr. Piccolo!" Pan scolded him.

"Me!?" Piccolo flinched.

"We told you to behave, Piccolo. Then you go and make a little girl cry." Videl also scolded him.

"Why are you assuming I did something wrong!?"

Gohan just laughed, pissing Piccolo off even more. "Don't just stand there, Gohan! Help me!"

From the sidelines, the Forgers watched the scene of Piccolo getting scolded. All three of them truly came to realize just how weird this family was, but even then they all looked content and happy.

Yor clapped her hands. "Ah! Now is as good a time as any!" Yor ran into the kitchen and pulled a pan out of the fridge. Anya had already read her thoughts and dreaded what was about to happen. Loid didn't have to read minds to know what was about to happen. The Sons and Piccolo were unaware of what was about to happen.

"What is that, Mrs. Forger?" Pan asked, staring at the tray of…brownies(?).

"It's dessert! Please, try some!" Yor answered.

"I… guess it wouldn't hurt." Gohan shrugged.

THUD!

THUD!

THUD!

"AAAHHH!" Yor screamed as Gohan, Pan, and Videl dropped to the ground. Loid and Anya watched from the sidelines, sending the defeated Sons their pity and sympathy.

Piccolo just facepalmed, happy that he declined the offer to eat.

Anya waved goodbye to Pan as the Sons and Piccolo were leaving. Videl held Yor's cooking in her arms, the Son Matriarch had requested to take it with her, saying that she was certain her brother-in-law and father-in-law would love it. Videl's words made Yor so happy that the assassin wrapped the martial artist in a tight hug.

Gohan and Loid shook hands. "Thanks for inviting us over. It was a fun night, even the almost food poisoning part."

Loid smiled nervously. "Sorry about that. Yor is still working on her cooking, she's never tried making brownies before, so that might've been why."

"I hope we can do this again sometime." Gohan said.

"Of course. The Forgers would be happy to." Loid agreed.

Piccolo stood in front of the two girls and Bond. He watched as Pan wrapped Anya in a hug, the telepath returning the hug tightly. "See you at school, Anya!"

"Yes! Anya will bring peanuts to share with you!"

"You really like peanuts…" Piccolo sweatdropped.

"Peanuts are the best food in the world!" Anya exclaimed.

Yor and Loid walked over to Piccolo. "And I hope we get to see you again soon, Piccolo." Yor bowed her head.

Piccolo nodded his head. "Sure."

"Be sure to have a doctor look at your complexion, though. It really isn't healthy to be that green." Yor added.

"I'm not sick!" Piccolo exclaimed.

"I hope you all get home safely. Make sure you help Anya in school, Pan, okay?" Loid said.

"Shock!" Anya gasped.

Pan nodded her head. "Becky has already told me about Anya's grades. I'll get her on track!"

"Shock!" Anya gasped again.

With all of the goodbyes said, the Forgers watched the Sons drive off home. Loid didn't know why, but he felt really happy. There was so much about the Sons that he didn't know and for a spy that was worrying, but another part of him said that it was fine. There may just be some secrets better kept than discovered. And who knows, maybe when they get closer he'll discover those secrets.

At least he was certain about everything regarding Anya and Yor-

"Loid."

"Hm?" Loid turned to Yor.

"I'm an assassin."

"Eh?"
