Somewhere in the depths of space, past the Kuiper Belt, a massive tooth-shaped spaceship was approaching, hurtling towards Earth at light speed.
"My lord! We are to arrive on Earth in five days!" This came from a dark blue alien with tentacle-like appendages attached to a single body. This was Geryuganshoop, and he was groveling before a powerful man, who wore a spiked armor that had contained his power for many years.
"At last," his deep voice boomed, echoing off the massive walls of his throne room. "The prophecy may soon be fulfilled."
A single blue eye stared out of the helmet, looking at a hologram of the pale blue dot that was Earth.
Chapter 3:
Apollo quickly found out that letting Thalia drive a flaming bus through the sky was a mistake, as she froze Cape Cod and burned an innocent town before crash landing in the canoe lake at Camp Half-Blood, steaming water erupting from the lake and scaring away several naiads. A crowd of curious demigod onlookers surrounded the bus as it bobbed to the surface, steam billowing off the superheated metal.
The passengers stumbled out shortly after, somewhat traumatized by the experience. The Hunters followed Zoë through the crowd, the latter stopping in front of Thalia.
"Tell Chiron that we will be in Cabin Eight," Zoë told Thalia, before continuing to walk. "Hunters, follow me."
"Let me show you the way," Grover offered.
"We know the way."
Grover followed them even as he was rejected, to which Zoë gave an exasperated sigh, realizing there was no getting rid of him for a while.
"Take care, sweethearts!" Apollo called out from the bus before closing the door. As he sat in the driver's seat, he noticed the steering wheel had been shattered into pieces.
While the others went back to their cabins, Percy followed Thalia to the Big House , where two people sat on the porch, playing cards. Chiron turned when he noticed their approach. "Thalia! And this must be -"
"Percy Jackson," Thalia said. "He's a half-blood."
Chiron sighed in relief. "You succeeded, then. I also want to hear what happened in Maine," Suddenly, the door burst open, spitting out Grover, who sported a black eye and a slap mark on his face.
"The Hunters are all moved in!" He said.
Chiron frowned. "The Hunters, eh? Then we have much to talk about." He glanced at the new demigod. " Grover, perhaps you should take Percy to the den and show him our orientation film."
Grover glanced at Percy. "Yes sir."
After the two had disappeared in the depths of the house, Thalia sat down and told Chiron everything that had happened.
"That is…perplexing."
"Yeah, but if he wasn't there…" Thalia shuddered as she imagined what would have happened to her. "Do you have any ideas on who his godly parent is?"
Chiron thought about it. "He might be the demigod of Heracles, or some other god of strength, and I've never heard of any demigods before killing monsters with one punch."
The door then creaked open, and Percy looked at Chiron. "You can walk?"
Chiron gave him a smile. "Yes, Mr. Jackson, I can. Although I prefer this form in this wheelchair during first encounters." He rocked in his wheelchair to emphasize his point.
"And you're the wine dude?" Percy asked, pointing at Mr. D, who gave the boy an incredulous look.
"The wine dude?" Mr. D asked.
"Thalia, you go ahead, and tell the campers of the capture the flag game we will be having tomorrow," Chiron told Thalia.
"Are you sure we have enough campers?'' She asked, as many of the usual campers had left before winter.
"It is a tradition," Chiron said. "A friendly match every time the Hunters come around."
"Yeah, real friendly," Thalia muttered. Then she stood up and left..
The next evening:
Hunters and Campers glared at each other, as they prepared for battle. Sudden stomping was heard on the pavilion, and eyes turned towards Chirons, who was in centaur form.
"Heroes!" He called out. "You know the rules! The creek is the boundary line. Blue team - Camp Half-Blood - shall take the west woods. Hunters of Artemis - red team - shall take the east woods. I will serve as referee and battlefield medic. No intentional maiming, please! All magic items are allowed. Prepare yourselves!" The centaur trotted off into the woods as the Campers and Hunters followed, preparing for the game.
Percy watched as the others strapped on armor and picked up weapons. Maybe if I get one, then it might be fun, he thought. Percy spotted a lonely sword on a bench with no one claiming ownership to it. So he walked up to the sword, and picked it up. And it got crushed in his grip. Percy slowly put it back on the bench and walked away.
When the game started, it did not go well for the campers. Percy and a few other demigods were on defense around their flag, which was planted on top of a huge pile of boulders that looked like a pile of deer shit. They heard screams coming from the forest, and the sounds of arrows whistling through the air. The Campers' entire strategy was falling apart, even with three children of the Big Three.
About twenty minutes into the game, arrows flew out from the trees, striking the demigods who were on defense. Beckendorf, Nico, and the Stolls fell to the ground, arrows in their helmets, and Percy caught the arrow aimed for him. Three Hunters jumped down from the trees, pulling out their daggers as Percy snapped the arrow in two and threw it behind him.
The three rushed him, one rushing him head-on and the others flanking him, aiming to take him out of the game. He didn't want to kill the three, however, so he used a move he watched a shiny guy with a tentacle head use.
Unscrupulous Rotating Defense: Platinum Rings
Percy spun his hands extremely fast, three platinum circles appearing around his body, snatching knives and tossing them away before the huntresses could react. He needed the Hunters to be out of commission, and he didn't want to accidentally kill anyone in the game. He reacted before the girls did.
Percy clapped, and a shockwave was generated from his hands, knocking away the three Hunters and taking them out of the battle. Percy stared at the enemy flag that was still standing about 100 feet away. The campers were probably losing, and Percy was the only one left on defense. So he sat on the Shit Pile and waited for more Hunters to come.
Percy waited.
And waited.
And waited some more. Fuck it, he thought, before going to get the flag.
Thalia a few moment earlier:
Thalia ran through the underbrush, attempting to flank the Hunters who were guarding the flag. At the same time, Bianca was leading the flanking maneuver on the other side, and Annabeth was leading a strike team from the front. Thalia heard one of the demigods screaming and a thud. She hoped that the campers' flag hadn't been taken already before coming to an abrupt halt.
Zoë stood in a clearing, barring Thalia's path to the Hunters' flag. Zoë had an arrow nocked in her bow pointed straight at Thalia.
"Thou shall not pass," Zoë said.
"Oh yeah? We'll see about that," Thalia retorted.
"I have no time to waste on thee!" Zoë let loose the arrow before she disappeared from sight, and in the blink of an eye, she reappeared with her silver daggers drawn, the blunt edge homing in on Thalia's face, aiming to take out the demigod in one attack.
She's fast! Thalia thought, rolling to the side, ducking under the blades and coming back up, blocking another attack with the shaft of her spear. Thalia went on the defense, blocking several more strikes before striking out
"Hyaaa!" Thalia countered by spinning around, bringing her spear around to strike. Zoë bent backwards, narrowly avoiding the tip before coming back up. She blitzed forward, slamming the butt of her dagger into the back of Thalia's hand, making her hiss and drop her spear. Thalia growled, tapping her wrist twice.
"Aegis!" Her wristband expanded into a bronze shield bearing the gruesome visage of Medusa on it. Zoë subtly flinched, but was undeterred. Thalia bull rushed Zoë with Aegis in hand, and when they were but a yard apart, Zoë jumped up and kicked off Thalia's shield, using her strength as the daughter of Atlas and driving Thalia on to the ground, knocking her shield and consciousness away from her.
Zoë:
Demigods these days… are weak. And stupid. She didn't even use her powers, Zoë thought as she salvaged the usable arrow she had fired at Thalia before. Zoë heard rustling from behind her and dodged too late, as Thalia's electrified palm slammed into her side, blasting her through multiple trees.
As the trees toppled, Zoë saw Thalia stomping over to her, eyes rolled up into her head. Electricity shrouded Thalia's body as she burned the fallen tree to cinders. And then Thalia fell over, having been conked in the head by a certain sea-green eyed demigod. Who was holding the Hunters' flag in his hands.
Zoë stood up shakily before glaring at Percy.
"I think that belongs to me. Thou better give that back, boy."
Percy shook his head. "No."
Zoë pulled out her daggers again. "We'll see about that," she said, quoting Thalia.
The two half-bloods stared each other down, each refusing to back off. Then they blurred from existence, leaving afterimages behind as they clashed in the forest, dashing around the clearing. Percy simply blocked the attacks with his bare hands, redirecting the strikes or negating them completely.
Zoë was shocked. Not many people had the skills to keep up with a Huntress of Artemis, much less a demigod with no formal training.
"I must admit, thou art skilled, boy. But I'll take thee out soon enough!" Zoë sped up even more, bringing her daggers down in an arc, only to end up widening her eyes in shock as Percy caught them in his hands, the demigod shattering them almost immediately. He dropped the broken blades and flicked Zoë in the forehead, sending her flying away and tumbling into the creek.
Is this… water? Zoë's eyes then widened in realization as a conch horn sounded, signaling the end of the game. Both sides appeared at the creek as Chiron trotted out of the woods, an ecstatic grin plastered on his face.
"The campers win!" Chiron announced as the campers cheered at their victory. Thalia stumbled out of the treeline, having regained consciousness. Then she saw something out of the corner of her eye and gasped, drawing the others' attention towards whatever she was looking at.
Green mist rolled towards the group of demigods as an eldritch corpse shambled towards them. Campers and Hunters alike gasped in surprise and fear.
"Impossible," Chiron said, his voice trembling. "It… she has never left the attic. Never."
Yet, the ancient corpse of the Oracle was there, in front of their eyes, shuffling forward towards them. No one moved as it stopped before the group, its cold, lifeless eyes scanning the group before speaking in a loud, hissing voice.
I am the spirit of Delphi. Speaker of the prophecies of Phoebus Apollo, slayer of the mighty Python.
It stared directly at Zoë. Approach, Seeker, and ask.
Zoë swallowed and stepped forward. "What must I do to help my goddess?" she asked.
The Oracle's mouth opened, spewing out more of the green mist, showing a vision of Artemis trapped beneath an invisible object. It showed a lean, muscular cyclops wearing spiked armor, sitting on a throne.
Five shall go west to the goddess in chains,
One shall be found in the land without rain,
Beware the monsters that follow your trail.
The Hero and The Hunter combined prevail,
The Titan's curse must one withstand,
And one shall perish by The Hero's hand.
The Oracle creaked, lifting a finger towards Percy. This one must go. The Fates decree his presence in this quest to be of utmost importance.
Then the Oracle sucked in all the green mist before snapping its jaw shut and sitting down on a rock.
There were a few moments of silence before Chiron spoke up.
"Everyone go back to their cabins. All cabin leaders and Percy shall meet to the Big House for an emergency meeting regarding the prophecy," Chiron said, before looking back at the Oracle. "And someone bring… it back up to the attic."

Crap. I missed the deadline I made for myself. But it's ok… I think. I hope you guys at least liked the CTF part, it's a little different than it was in One Punch, and a Hurricane. This chapter is also a little longer than the others too. I'll try to speed up my writing and (maybe?) post a new chapter during Thanksgiving Break. The latest will be early December. Remember to join my discord server (it's at the top of the chapter) for updates and information regarding my stories. I'll see you guys in the next chapter.
