The start of the class was just like any other day. It was a mixture of youthful energy and filled with bliss. In came the students as they grouped together in their usual gatherings. However, some were missing, two students who seemed to get into the most amount of overzealous trouble no matter where they were. As Shoto Todoroki took his seat in the back of the classroom, he noticed the empty seats on his left. Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo, why is it that whenever something happens it is always those two? He took his eyes and glanced towards his right. Shoji, Ashido, Mineta, Jiro, and many more, all were gathered just talking like any other day.

Yet in the moment, one person took his eye, and he sat down in front of him at his seat. His short height, his thin yet increasingly muscular build, and his spiky black hair perked upward in the back. Shoto gazed upon him, looking at his friend as he took his seat and grabbed a dark black journal, yet something seemed… off… As Shoto looked forward, his chin resting softly on his hand, he noticed that his hands were shaking, and he lowered his head to his desk. Shoto raised his head from his hand, and he watched with slight worry. He leaned forward, staring, peering into the mind of his friend, lowering his head even further. Shoto reached his left hand out, placing it on the boy's shoulder and was ready to open his mouth, his fear growing across his skin, much like ice forming on a river… slow… and heart piercing.

"This place again… someone… help…" The boy whispered.

"Hey…" Shoto said, shaking his shoulder. "Hey it's me."

The boy suddenly shot his head upward and snapped his head around in a cold sweat. His ruby eyes blinked rapidly. He took a moment to breathe and looked at his friend. Shoto didn't say much but it wasn't hard to see what was going on. Something was happening, something that scared the boy.

"Are you alright Tokoyami?" Shoto asked as he slowly took his hand away.

"Y-yes Todoroki I'm… fine…" He muttered.

"You sure? You want me to get Mr. Aizawa?" Shoto asked once more.

"Really, I'm fine," Tokoyami replied. "I appreciate your concern, but I'll endure."

"If you really think so…" Todoroki said as he straightened his posture. "If anything comes up you should say something at least."

The moment between them felt so surreal yet ultimately cold to the touch. Shoto had just spent all that time with him deep underground for a training exercise. Working alongside one another… the deep darkness of the caves… it gave them a moment to reflect, and bond.

Yet Shoto didn't say a word, he didn't know how to continue the conversation as Fumikage simply turned his head away to the others, every detail in his posture saying something conflicting. He eventually looked forward and crossed his arms in silence just like he always did. On the day they first met he was no different, silent and focused, even in his blinded judgment before that clash with Izuku, Shoto could still see that fraction of Fumikage's personality. He wanted to say something, but what should he start with? Was it even appropriate to pry into his personal matters? Of course not?

But what kind of friend leaves another to suffer in silence?

Shoto learned that lesson from Izuku after all…

"Were you having that dream again?" Shoto asked as he leaned forward. "You said you had it at the camp, and again right before that rescue training we had last week."

Fumikage froze, he grabbed his arms trying to ignore the question.

"Don't… tell anyone about it… please…" Tokoyami said quietly.

"I don't really know how much I can help if we don't tell someone about it." Shoto stated in a quiet and monotone voice.

"I told you I'll be okay, more importantly maybe I should help you," Fumikage stated firmly. "You just seem dejected after the License Exam, you're still upset about failing."

Shoto looked at him with widened eyes, his gray and turquoise irises shining in the lights, and then he lowered his head and leaned back. Tokoyami grunted and lowered his own head.

"My apologies…" He said calmly. "I didn't mean to rub salt in the wound…"

"No it's fine, I screwed up during the exam, this is something I have to take care of."

"Not alone,"

Shoto looked up again at the crow, who smiled with confidence.

"That's what friends do for each other." He said.

Shoto felt it, that feeling again. The sense of salvation, like a hand reaching out to him in a moment of need. It was warm, much like his mother in the old days… the days of his "training" with his father Endeavor, the number two Hero in Japan. A mind blinded by an impossible goal, and his lack of vision led to something abhorrent. Everyday training Shoto, his youngest son, ah yes… the days he spent beating his son into a stronger version of himself. The person who was the "ultimate weapon to surpass All Might." Yet here he was now, the memory of Shoto fighting Midoryia in the ring, the green haired young man changing his life forever…

It's yours! Your Quirk not his!

And again, here and now in this very room.

"Huh…"

Fumikage looked upward and faced Shoto once more, a modicum of hope restored in his eyes.

"I guess the next time we train I'll ask if you and Midoriya want to work together." he said with a smile.

He watched as Fumikage smiled, the sides of his beak appeared to stretch forming the expression, yet Shoto could see it. The fear left his eyes, and he was happy.

"I look forward to it Todoroki. Thank you." He said with a kind nature.

"No problem." Shoto replied kindly.

The heterochromatic boy continued to look at his raven-headed friend in a happy manner, thinking about what would come next for them both. The sun continued to rise and eventually a certain someone entered the room, a man with long and unkempt black hair, sunk in and tired eyes, and a large silver scarf wrapped around his collarbone.

"Good morning class." said Shota Aizawa as he took the stand in front of the class.

"Morning sir!" Everyone cried.

"Well then, as you guys know we'll be resuming normal academic activities. "Aizawa announced as he stared sternly at the class. "I know you've all been through a lot over the summer, and I want to make it clear that the faculty and I, whether you see us as just your teachers or as Pros, we take full responsibility for not keeping you safe."

The class felt a dread loom over their shoulders, and Aizawa could sense this albatross lingering too far. He opened his mouth ready to speak, to give his students hope after that horrible, horrible night at the Summer Camp.

"We'll give everything we have!"

Aizawa raised his eyebrows, shocked by the decree. Every member of his class sat with the power of will, the strength to continue forward. Ida, Uraraka, Asui, Jiro, Shoji, even other students in the back stood ready.

"Sir, after what happened over the summer and at the exam, we want to prove that we're ready for the next step." Uraraka stated strongly. "We want to become the best Heroes we can!"

"I'm with her on that!" Ida added. "As a class we agreed that we would give everything we have, even if some of us are absent over something so ridiculous as a fight."

Aizawa lowered his head, his hair covering his face. Yet, underneath his locks and obstructed from his students, he wondered, could they truly live up to their words?

"Actually, if I may Mr. Aizawa…"

The teacher raised his head and everyone looked as Asui, the froggy girl of the class, raised her hand.

"Principal Nezu brought them up during the Opening Ceremony and I've been meaning to ask." She said. "What exactly are these Hero Internships that he mentioned? I saw a lot of the second and third-years talking about them."

"Yes, I heard them speaking about it as well," said Momo Yaoyorozu. "Mr. Aizawa I also want to hear more about this."

"Same here! Maybe it's some kind of new Hero training?! If that's the case then count me in!" added Eijiro Kirishima.

More and more other students in the class started asking their teacher about this new system, their questions multiplying, minds wandering in the curiosity of this ambiguous new adventure. Yet one student leaned back, turning his torso behind him. Hanta Sero, the boy with a Tape Quirk, turned his attention behind him. He was born with appendages in his elbows, ones covered in his skin that acted like ultra strong and fast tape dispensers, ones that proved to be a strong and valuable asset to him and his friends. His slicked back and spiky hair raining over the back of his neck, and his sharp eyes peered behind him with wonder.

"Now that I think about it I remember the principal talking about it too," he said. "What do you think Toko-"

Yet as he turned around to address his friend behind him. He only saw… black liquid dripping from his mouth and nose.

"Tokoyami…?" He asked.

Shoto noticed it too, how Fumikage was strangely idle in this time of excitement.

"Hey… you alright?" He asked.

Shoto reached his hand forward to touch him, shake him awake. Yet as he reached forward…

Something changed.

The raven-headed boy suddenly coughed viciously, he choked on the air as he violently scratched at his chest, the coughing and heaving and screeching in his breath becoming more and more abhorrent and monstrous by the second.

"TOKOYAMI?!" Shoto and Sero screamed in horror.

Everyone in the room snapped their heads around and Aizawa widened his eyes in panic. Fumikage continued again and again to cough and hack, yet his body shook and jolted in his seat.

"What's wrong?!" Ida shouted.

HRUUGHHH

Fumikage vomited onto his desk and a black liquid violently spurt all over the wooden surface, causing Sero to jump out of his seat. The bird-headed boy's body suddenly released a violent crack.

CRACK

He fell to the ground, his chest and erupted from the floor. Without hesitation Aizawa sprinted to the back of the room rushing to his student, and he tilted him on his side.

"He's choking! Yaoyorozu give me a hand!" He shouted.

"Y-yes sir!" Yaoyorozu cried as he ran over.

Together they helped Fumikage lay on his side.

WRRRRUUUGGGH

More black fluid was spewed from his mouth and soon… his clothes began to turn black. Aizawa and Yaoyorozu both felt their hands become sticky and wet, and a pool of this liquid soon opened underneath them. Fumikage's white dress shirt, his pants, shoes, even his skin, all became drenched in this foul and inhuman substance, its core fiendishly attractive.

"What the hell's happening to him?!" screamed Mina Ashido as she raced forward.

"STAY BACK!"

Aizawa snapped around and stared at all of his students, who all watched in terror at teh event. He turned his attention back to Fumikage, who continued to vomit the substance.

"Tokoyami I need you to stay with me!" He cried.

RAAAAAAAHHH

A black arm suddenly lashed out and attacked. Aizawa widened his eyes as the arm raced towards Yaoyorozu, its fingers sharpened into talons. The teacher pounced in front of the appendage and grabbed Yaoyorozu protecting her.

SLASH

Aizawa bit on his jaw with the force of a boulder crashing from a large fall. He felt his back being ripped open by this creature, and he held Yaoyorozu tightly in order to protect her from the threat. Blood spilt onto the floor and the man let out a loud and hardy grunt of agony.

"MR. AIZAWA!" several students cried.

"Forget about me! Save Tokoyami!" Aizawa screamed.

They didn't wait. Sero shot tape from his elbows that wrapped around Fumikage, who continued to convulse on the floor. Kirishima used his Quirk to harden his body, ripping his shirt collar apart and he dove in grabbing the boy. He was immediately covered in the black liquid and he crunched his shark like teeth. The hands wrapped around Fumikage dragging him deep in the puddle. Kirishima slammed into the arms and ripped them off Fumikage, trying to save the now half-submerged boy.

"I COULD USE A HAND HERE!" Kirishima screamed.

"Sir I have an idea!" Yaoyorozu shouted.

Aizawa nodded, letting go of the girl, and she wasted no time in creating a new tool. Using her Quirk, Creation, she replicated Aizawa's scarf and wrapped it around Fumikage the same as Sero. Aizawa joined in as well, and together they all tried pulling Fumikage out of this… liquid.

Yet, the more hands ripped from the puddle, all of them sharpened to cut through steel. Their fingers turning gold, and the claws so sharp they could sever through the very air itself. Kirishima felt the daggers tear through his Quirk, almost like his Hardening was nothing.

"GAHH! WHAT THE HELL?! BRING IT!" He roared.

Another creature easily ripped through Sero's tape.

RIP

A third and fourth attacked Aizawa and Yaoyorozu, they slashed into the air and ripped through the scarves they threw. One launched out of the puddle and grabbed hold of Aizawa and Yaoyorozu, dragging them into the puddle.

"OH NO! GET OFF!" Yaoyorozu screamed.

She formed a bo staff from her chest, and stabbed one of the creatures.

HREEAHHH

Shoto launched in with his ice stomping onto the ground while Ashido used her Acid Quirk on the beings.

"Damnit! What are these things?!" Shoto cried.

Yet in the end… the only thing that remained was a large black puddle.

RAAAAHAHHHHHAHHHAHH

A disgusting and inhuman creature launched into the air exploding out of the ground. It had claws, the body of a lion, and sent nearly everyone flying back. The room was drenched in black liquid as Shoji stood up. His large, webbed arms opened up revealing several of his friends underneath. Asui, Kaminari, Jiro, and Ida were protected from the blast.

"IS EVERYONE OKAY?!" Ida screamed.

"Over here! I need some help!"

Everyone looked over as Uraraka suddenly jolted out of a pool of black liquid, and in her arms…

"Someone help me with Kirishima!" She cried.

SPLASH

"HUUUUUUUH!" Aizawa gasped as he ripped his head out of the tar. "Is everyone safe? Yaoyorozu? Todoroki?"

As he snapped his head around, Shoto and Yaoyorozu emerged from the pool, covered in the fluid. They held each other close and looked around.

"We're okay, what about everyone else?" Shoto asked in a rabid voice.

Together everyone looked around as others emerged from the pool, however…

"Wait… that thing…" Shoji asked.

"Where did it go?"

SMASH

The door to Class A's room was knocked off the hinges and was sent flying across the room. Shortly after, Vlad King, teacher of Class B, along with several of his students rushed in.

"What the hell is going on?!" Vlad screamed with fury.

"STAY AWAY!" Aizawa screamed much to Vlad's confusion. "We have a Code Red and we have no idea if that thing was a Quirk!"

Vlad grunted angrily and suddenly pressed on his ear.

"This is Vlad King! Code Red! I'm initiating a campus-wide lockdown!" He roared.

He disappeared from the room and ran into the hallway. Within minutes several metallic shutters blocked out the sun, loud clanging sounds echoed throughout the whole school… the whole world was suddenly cut off from U.A.

Students in Class B rushed outside and remained there. Uraraka and Ida dragged Kirishima out of the room and brought him into the clean hallway.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" screeched a familiar voice.

Uraraka and Ida both watched as Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu from Class B shoved his way passed several of his friends, and his bushy eyes stretched wide.

"Kirishima?!" He screamed.

He rushed over and knelt down next to his stone-hardened friend.

"Are you alright buddy?!" He asked while shaking in his shoes.

"He's gone…"

"What? Kirishima what are you saying?" Uraraka asked as several students etched closer.

The boy sat up, his body covered in a black liquid, each particle dripping from his clothes and skin. As Uraraka, Ida, and Tetsutetsu got close, they looked upon the crimson-haired boy. His eyes told it all, and Uraraka even covered her mouth. Kirishima's eyes were blank, dead. He was staring aimlessly at the ground, and he raised his hands…

"Tokoyami's gone… that thing took him…"

"What?!" Ida cried. "No, no that's not possible."

"HE'S GONE IDA! I SAW IT WITH MY OWN TWO EYES!"

Everyone suddenly stuttered backwards as Kirishima shot upwards, tears raining down his face. His fists hardened by his Quirk, and Shoto appeared in the doorway with his friends, along with Aizawa.

SMASH

Kirishima struck the nearby wall so hard that a crater covered the entire thing, rubble crumbling from the blast, and shockwaves were flung down the hallway.

"FUCK!" He roared with animalistic rage. "FIRST BAKUGO AND NOW TOKOYAMI?! GOD DAMMIT!"

"Kirishima calm down!" Aizawa ordered.

"HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO BE CALM, WHEN ANOTHER ONE OF MY FRIENDS WAS TAKEN?! I SWEAR I'LL FIND THOSE LEAGUE BASTARDS! NO WAY IN HELL I'LL LET THEM DO THIS-"

"That's enough Kirishima!"

Shoto stepped into the hall and confronted the man, his icy glare coming so close that their noses nearly touched.

"I saw it too, that… thing. It took Tokoyami and dove into whatever that black stuff is."

"THEN YOU KNOW WE HAVE TO FIND HIM!" Kirishima screamed.

"Yeah, I do! But we have no idea where he went or what happened to him." Shoto argued.

Kirishima grit his teeth during his stare down with Shoto, the two friends standing against the wall as rubble fell to the floor from Kirishima's dangerous blow. The rest of Class A and B were at a loss, they couldn't even speak. Uraraka came forward, as did Ida and Tetsutetsu just as before. The others simply stared, unmoving as the animosity and shock of these recent events continued to linger…

"Kirishima, Todoroki…" Ida said. "I-"

Ida lowered his head and turned away slightly.

"I already know what the two of you are thinking, I won't let history repeat itself!"

"You're right about that…" Shoto replied.

The classes looked back as Aizawa stared at them, his eyes glaring a crimson red. His Quirk, Erasure, shuts down anyone else from using their powers, and he was staring directly at his three students. He closed the gap between them and brought them together.

"I've never seen a Quirk like that before, and I'm just as shaken as you and everyone else is right now…"

"But the reality is that we have no idea if the League is involved, and more importantly we don't know why Tokoyami was targeted…"

Kirishima, Shoto, and Ida all remained silent as they looked at their teacher, yet Shoto retained his irritated face. Aizawa could feel his emotions, he was infuriated, ashamed that he couldn't save his friend… and the black haired man knew this feeling too well. Fumikage was his student… one he was proud of.

"Right now, the most logical decision is to get all of you back to your dorms but I swear, if any of you try pulling that again like you did with Bakugo, I will personally sign your expulsion papers, got it?"

"Yes sir." Shoto, Ida, and Kirishima replied quietly, all with a modicum of guilt.

"Listen up everyone!" Aizawa said as he turned his attention to the rest of the growing crowd. "We have no idea what the hell is going on, but we need to be clear…"

"Fumikage Tokoyami has been abducted."

"What?!" Several students cried.

"Are you serious sir?!" yelled Shihai Kuroiro, whose midnight black skin and snow white hair caused him to stand out amongst the crowd.

"Yes, now listen closely." Aizawa announced with a booming voice. "All classes are canceled indefinitely, effective immediately. We may have a villain on campus, and as such you're all to return to your dorms immediately!"

The members of Class A finally escaped the room, the black liquid staining their clothes and skin.

"Head back to the dorms? But what about Tokoyami?" Asui asked as she pulled herself from the tar."

"Asui's right! We can't just sit here and leave him where… well wherever he went!" Kaminari added, his lightning yellow hair stained a deep black.

"I know that, but right now we need to keep you all safe too." Aizawa argued. "Now get back to the dorms."

Vlad exited the Class B room with the most gruff looking face Shoto had ever seen.

"You heard Eraserhead! Let's go!" He yelled.

Silence took over, and the classes obeyed. Together they moved through the halls of U.A., murmurs echoing throughout the crowd. Shoto walked briskly next to Mashirao Ojiro, the student whose tail was as toned as his body, and Jiro, the musical hero and his friend.

"What happened in there guys?" Asked Itsuka Kendo of Class B, her orange hair whisked as she turned around.

"Kendo!" Yaoyorozu cried. "We… we don't know. One minute we were about to begin class, but then I could hear Tokoyami choking on something."

"Yaoyorozu's right." Sero added as the group of 40 students continued to walk towards the main entrance, everyone opening the doors and stepping outside.

The courtyard was as surreal and elegant as it was when they set foot into the school that morning. The grid-styled walkways, the immaculate pink cherry blossoms that sat in full bloom, their pedals gently raining down from the branches. Yet something was off, all of the students could see large walls emerging in the distance, the gateways to the outside world were shut tight, even the large hike from the top of the hill down to normal street level was sealed shut, no one getting in or out of the school grounds. Despite their new circumstances, Classes A and B kept walking. Their dorms were only five minutes away from U.A., it would be the perfect time to discuss.

"We were all asking Mr. Aizawa about those internships the principal mentioned, and then… then Tokoyami started coughing." Sero explained.

"I heard it too," said Toru Hagakure, the Class A girl whose body was invisible. "He started choking and then I saw him throwing up all over the desk, and then the floor…"

"We're trying to figure it all out, but the fact remains that HE'S GONE!" Kirishima screamed.

"Woah settle down man!" Tetsutetsu continued.

"SORRY BUT HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS WAS TAKEN HUH?!" Kirishima retorted with rage. "THIS IS THE SECOND TIME NOW WITHIN A MONTH!"

"That's enough!"

Everyone turned and stared as the sound of a nasally voice danced in the wind. Her cry was something that shook many to the core, and as they turned around, they watched Tsuyu Asui standing with her arms in her usual fixed position.

"Tsu?" Uraraka asked as she came to her side.

"I get it okay? We all do Kirishima," She said as she shook slightly. "We're all hurting, but that doesn't mean you can just go out like you did last time. "

Kirishima widened his eyes, and yet, he turned his head away in shame. He started walking away from the crowd in solidarity, putting his hands in his pockets and not saying a word.

"I was just trying to calm him down too." Asui continued as she and everyone else looked at Kirishima, who became smaller in the distance.

"Don't worry about it Tsu, you did a good job getting him to calm down." Yaoyorozu said as she approached her from behind. "But you're right, Tokoyami's… *sigh* he's gone and until we learn more there's not much we can do."

Yaoyorozu turned and faced the crowd.

"Tokoyami is our friend, and someone I trust." She said strongly. "As much as it pains me to say it, we can't do anything until the teachers gain some kind of new information."

"Yaoyorozu what are you saying?" Kendo asked.

"For now, all we can do is wait, I'm sorry but that's all I can think of, unless anyone else has any ideas?"

The rest of the group remained silent, not a sound to be heard in the wind.

"Then… let's head back until we hear any news."

There were no words spoken, no sounds were made, nothing danced around as they left the courtyard, the dread looming once more. Shoto stared forward with nothing but focus in his eyes, the clouds slowly crawling in the sky as Classes A and B finally reached their dorms, yet they did not know what to do. Class A reassembled, as did Class B. Each of their members standing in their respective groups. Yaoyorozu and Ida both took the front of their class, and to their surprise, Kendo and Shoda of Class B met with them. The four of them, class presidents and vice presidents respectively, just stared, they didn't know what to say. How were they supposed to bolster hope?

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN TOKOYAMI'S GONE?!" screamed Izuku Midoriya from inside the Class A dorms.

Everyone turned around and listened.

"HE JUST… HE DISAPPEARED ALRIGHT?!" Kirishima roared. "I- FUCK!"

"Hey that's enough!" Katsuki Bakugo yelled. "What the hell are you talking about? You're saying that bird brain just up and disappeared?"

Shoto grimaced his face.

"I'll go check on them, make sure they don't get into a fight."

"Todoroki hold on a second!" Sero protested.

"Yeah, didn't you see Kirishima right now? That's the angriest I've ever seen him." Kaminari added.

Shoto headed for the entrance of Heights Alliance, the towering dorm that awaited them, the place they called home. His heterochromatic eyes, his left turquoise and his right gray, they were filled with resolve. Something calm yet flared, angered yet steady, a sight that held true, and with each step he could feel his heart racing. He took another step, until he felt someone grab his right arm. As he turned, he saw Shoji, the tallest student with large webbed arms, holding him back.

"I'm coming with you." He said quietly.

Shoto didn't resist, he simply nodded as his masked friend joined him inside. The rest of Class A simply watched, once more there were no words. Yet Yaoyorozu and Ida met with the rest of Class B, wondering what to do next.

"Like I said before there isn't much we can do," Yaoyorozu said. "And I hate it! Tokoyami's our friend and classmate, to think he was… swallowed up by whatever that Quirk was!"

"Hey, hey!" Kendo replied, grabbing Yaoyorozu by the shoulders. "I'm sorry, I really am, that's horrible what just happened. But we will find him, yeah?"

The two girls looked each other in the eye.

"We can figure it out, all of us together. Right guys?!" Kendo cried.

There was a moment of silence for a moment, was this really all U.A. had to offer? What about the energy they all had from the Sports Festival?

"Right!"

A singular voice echoed from Class A's group, and out stepped Yuga Aoyama, a rather average boy in height but one with sparkling blonde hair, his mouth fixed in what looked like an arrowhead pointing .

"I may not have s-stepped up much from before, but Tokoyami is still my friend," He stated as he slowly walked forward. "He and I have actually spent much time together, drinking tea and studying together for our classes. I know it isn't much but, even something as little as that makes all the difference to me!"

"So… why shouldn't we try to help at least?" He continued. "He means everything to us no?! Just like what happened to Bakugo?"

Someone gripped their fist and briskly ran up to him from behind.

"Yes, you're right Aoyama!" Ida cried loudly. "Tokoyami is our friend, of course we want to search for him, but we can't… we can't repeat what happened weeks ago."

"What are you guys talking about?" asked Setsuna Tokage of Class B.

Ida and Yaoyorozu both shivered, and suddenly they went silent.

"Did something happen when All Might-" asked Nieto Monoma.

"It's complicated alright?" Hagakure said as she stepped forward as well. "We had a 'disagreement' the night All Might fought that villain, some things were said and… uh-"

"Like Hagakure said, it was complicated." Jiro said, stepping in for her.

As the discussion between the groups continued, Shoto looked out from the window, he crossed his arms while waiting inside the living room of the dorms, the room was so wide and tall, almost like a tall statue could be fit inside. Izuku was sitting on the couch looking at the floor, his eyes strained from the loss. He looked as though his soul had been taken from him, while Bakugo sat across him from another couch. Shoji had gotten himself a glass of water and he took a gulp using one of his duplicate limbs. He had formed a mouth at the end of his left "middle" hand, and he sat down next to Izuku.

As for Kirishima, he continued pacing back and forth in the dining hall. Faster and faster he went, the more impatient he became, and the angrier his aura grew.

"I don't get it, how did they- what the hell?" He muttered over and over.

On the couch, Bakugo simply looked at the wooden surface of the table, his silence deafening the room. Shoji looked over at Izuku, who placed his hands together acting as a cone over his nose, and he squeezed his eyes shut tight.

"How…" He asked, his voice drowned by shock. "What… what happened in there?"

"Right, you and Bakugo are still on house arrest," Shoji said. "Well… we were about to start class when Sero heard Tokoyami… coughing."

Bakugo looked up, his sharp red eyes focused entirely on his octopus-like classmate. Shoto rejoined the group, taking a seat next to Bakugo in the process. He loosened his bright red tie and placed his elbows on his knees.

"The next thing we knew, Tokoyami was… puking all over his desk. It was this black stuff I've never seen before."

"The hell didya you just say?!" Bakugo said, raising his voice.

"Kacchan?" Izuku asked as he lifted his head, now staring at everyone else in the room.

"You're telling me that bird-brain was spewing up a bunch black gunk? Just like what happened to me in Kamino?" Bakugo asked angrily.

"What are you talking about?" Shoji asked.

Bakugo suddenly lowered his head, and kicked his feet onto the table.

"When those villain bastards took me, and when All Might showed up, their leader used some kind of Quirk on me," He explained. "I thought I was about to get out of there, and then I felt this urge to puke, and a bunch of black stuff just came out."

"You mean that the League is behind this?!" Kirishima yelled from the kitchen.

"Hold on, Bakugo, did that liquid have any hands or arms coming out of it?" Shoto asked.

"What the- hell no!" Bakugo yelled. "It just- I was just enveloped in it okay? That was it, nothing else."

The boys all sat in silence for a moment longer.

"When Tokoyami started vomiting, the black stuff he puked up had… arms and claws coming out of it, and they attacked Mr. Aizawa." Shoji explained. "Lots of us tried saving Tokoyami but-"

"Some weird monster just burst out of the floor!" Kirishima yelled as he rejoined the group. "I got stuck in all that black stuff but I saw the damn thing, and if the League is responsible then why are we still sitting here then?!"

Kirishima started shaking harder.

"Just look at me! I'm still covered in whatever the hell this gunk is!"

"And you thought sitting on this damn couch was a good idea?!" Bakugo screamed. "YOU'RE STAINING THE FABRIC IDIOT!"

"If we can focus please, we're not going after them again Kirishima." Izuku said in an uncharacteristically punctual voice.

"I know and that's the worst part!" Kirishima lashed out. "After what happened last time and what Mr. Aizawa said? I know we can't do it again but STILL!"

"You really want to break his trust even more?" Shoji asked.

"I know I can't do that again but Tokoyami's still my friend! Those bastards took him!"

"He's my friend too Kirishima but we can't just rush in blind, not after what happened at camp." Shoji stated.

"I get that man I really do but-"

"Hold on a second Kirishima!" Izuku argued.

"Come on Midoriya you know exactly how I feel don't you?!" Kirishima protested.

"Think about it for a second, if that's the same Quirk as the one Bakugo mentioned then we know exactly what he's capable of. Rushing in trying to save Tokoyami would be a terrible idea." Shoto explained.

"Not to mention that the three of us, including Ida and Yaoyorozu… felt that power he had."

Kirishima and Izuku froze up at the mere mention of that man, that demon in human form…

All for One.

"Hold up Icyhot," Bakugo interjected. "In case you already forgot that big boss bastard has a different Quirk than whatever the hell happened in class. His didn't have any of those hands or whatever Kirishima just said. So why would any of you already assume he's the one behind it?"

"Huh, that's actually a good point Kacchan…" Izuku muttered.

"Don't get all preachy right now Deku," Bakugo said berating the green haired boy. "Whatever the hell's going on is something we have to get to the bottom of, and maybe this time you guys won't be a bunch of idiots and rush in without thinking!"

"Bakugo… wait-"

"Kirishima!" Bakugo screamed.

He suddenly walked right into Kirishima's face, so close that the crimson haired boy could feel Bakugo's flaring breath on his nose. It felt like Bakugo was about to use his Quirk to blow him to smithereens, yet the blonde student remained still.

"If you think lashing out at everyone is the best idea then you're an even bigger dumbass than I thought," Bakugo sighed as he grabbed Kirishima by the shirt collar, careful not to touch the black liquid.. "You want to prove how much of a man you are? Then shut the hell up and actually act like one! Don't start yelling at everyone else just because your feelings are hurt alright?!"

That's pretty ironic… Shoto and Shoji both thought.

Yet Kirishima simply stared at his friend, and didn't say a word. He backed away slowly, but soon stood his ground. He clenched his fists while Bakugo remained still, his eyes sharpened like a man, and his aura strong. Izuku and Shoto both stared in the background, while Shoji stood upward joining them, waiting for whatever it was that Kirishima would do. Suddenly, Kiri took a step forward, walking past Bakugo, then Shoto and the others. He opened the front door, its hinges creaking from the slow movement, and he stepped outside into the bright sun.

"Where's he going?" Shoji asked.

They all watched Kirishima exit the building and head back for the main group, his body still covered in the black liquid, and he came to a stop while the two classes were separated into smaller cells, each wondering what was going on. Izuku, Shoto, Bakugo, and Shoji agreed to follow him outside, each taking the steps from the entrance and walking along the sidewalk to join the others.

"Wait a minute you're telling me you were all covered in whatever that stuff and you didn't even bother to go in and bathe?!" Bakugo yelled.

"Nice to see you too Bakugo…" Ashido murmured.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"

"He's still himself even now? How fitting." Monoma stated.

"That's enough!" Ida cried as he rallied the crowd. "Everyone please, if we're all serious about finding Tokoyami then how are we going to do it if we keep doing… this? "

"He has a point." Tetsutetsu said.

"So then, let's get to the situation right now, Kirishima!" Ida cried. "You cam back, what's wrong?"

And as the cells turned and saw Kirishima, he stared back at them with a hurt feeling in his eyes. Then he placed his arms to his sides tightly, and bowed at a near 90 degree angle. Everyone in Class A grunted in shock.

"I'm really sorry for the way I just acted!" He cried. "I'm sorry! I really am okay?! I shouldn't have yelled at everyone like that, just… we need to help Tokoyami!"

"Kirishima…" Ashido muttered.

"He's my friend damnit!" The crimson-haired lad continued. "After what happened to Bakugo I can't let this happen again! But… I shouldn't have gotten in your faces. SO I'M ASKING YOU GUYS TO PLEASE FORGIVE ME! HOW CAN I BE A MAN IF I'M TURNING EVERYONE ELSE AWAY?!"

Everyone saw as tears dripped onto the pavement, and that Kirishima's body was shaking in his shoes. For a moment, the class looked at him with pity, but that pity soon turned to strength. A flower blossomed under the great tree in their courtyard. A bright white lotus, its pedals flowing elegantly as the sun shone on its stem.

One person took a step forward and placed her hand on his shoulder. He looked up with a tear running down his cheek, and soon after his face lit up with shock… and hope.

"You're such a drama queen!" Ashido cheered as she winked at Kirishima.

"Wha-" Kirishima sobbed.

"You really think we don't feel the same way?" She asked. "Because we do, and we're in this together. But hey, you wanna know something?"

"You're the one who's really spearheading this you know?!"

Kirishima's eyes widened, and he was without words. He knew Ashido since middle school, her pink skin always sticking out to him as the result of her Quirk. More importantly, what always stood out to Kirishima about this girl, a woman who was always so filled with passion and courage, was her unrelenting camaraderie.

The boy sobbed once more, yet he stood up straight, trying to "man up" as he would put it, and let out a smile.

"Thanks Ashido!" He said with a tearful smirk.

Ashido simply smiled calmly and raised her hand. Kirishima saw this and wiped his face with his left arm. Together, they bumped fists, and as they both looked at the class.

"You have a kind heart Kirishima! Never forget that!" Sero cried.

Ida smiled and crossed his arms. Izuku and Uraraka both cheered with confidence while Ojiro and Hagakure both looked with confidence and renewed vigor. Shoji, Jiro, Aoyama, Sato, Asui, all of which showed simply by smiling. Even Class B showed their support, Kendo stood next to Yaoyorozu with a steadfast gale, Tetsutetsu pumped his fist in the air,

"YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT WE'RE GONNA FIND HIM BRO!"

"YEAH!" Everyone cried.

In the end, Kirihshima smiled, and in the back of the group… so did Shoto.

CRABOOOOOM

Kirishima jumped suddenly as a crack of lightning scorched the earth behind him.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" He screamed.

Everyone jolted as smoke littered the ground where the lightning struck, the fires slowly disappearing, the ground shaken with static.

"What the hell was that?!"

The students turned left as Aizawa, Vlad King, Midnight, Principal Nezu, Present Mic, Snipe, and Cementoss all rushed to their position. Without a second thought they all readied themselves for battle. Aizawa loosened his scarf and his hair shot upward as he activated his Quirk. Blood splattered from Vlad's hands, Midnight readied a finger over his outfit, her pheramones ready and potent. Snipe loaded a large clip into his revolver, Cementoss knelt down to the ground with his palms flat, the concrete under him sludging and melding together, and Mic took a deep breath.

And as the smoke cleared…

There stood a woman, who's ginger red hair was tied in a braid and slung over her left shoulder.

The woman had pale skin, a color so drained of color that it nearly matched the Class B student Juzo Honenuki, whose skin was almost a bone gray. The woman was wearing a large white lab coat, the coat tails nearly dragging across the ground, and was left unbuttoned in the front Underneath she was wearing a black dress shirt and skirt, combined with ruby red heels. Her glasses were as black as the night sky, yet the lens seemed to be… hovering over her eyes. As the smoke cleared, she looked upward, her left eye black, and her right eye white. She took one step forward and suddenly, Aizawa wrapped her in his cloth. He pulled tight and her arms were trapped, her voice choking in the air.

"Who are you?!" Aizawa demanded.

The woman looked forward, her eyes filled with fear and confusion.

"What the hell?!" She screamed.

Everyone looked in confusion, her voice spoke, but without meaning. For all they knew she said something completely unrelated.

"Uh did anyone else get that?" Kaminari asked.

"Who are you?!"

"HUH?!"

Out of all the students, Juzo Honenuki stepped forward, his most unique feature being his face.

"She's speaking English," He said. "I speak it too, maybe I can talk." He said.

Vlad stepped in front of him.

"Stay back Honenuki, for all we know she could've been the one who abducted Tokoyami."

Yet, as they spoke, the woman raised her right wrist fighting through Aizawa's scarf, a black handcuff with a blue lightstrip covering her wrist. She flicked her wrist and a male robotic voice sounded off.

TRANSLATING

"Is that better?" She asked.

"What the? She's speaking Japanese now?" Tetsutetsu asked.

"Translating in real time, my cuffs are doing the work." She replied.

"Well that takes care of that I guess…" Juzo said quietly.

"Enough, now who are you?" Midnight asked angrily. "What did you do with our student?"

The woman remained still, her breath becoming soft spoken and calm.

"I'll gladly answer your questions if I can… sit… sit down…" She said quietly.

Aizawa looked at his comrades.

"If it will make you more comfortable then we'll oblige." Principal Nezu stated.

"What? Sir will all due respect this person just SHOT OUT OF THE SKY!" Sero and Ashido yelled.

"Yeah, and like Ms. Midnight said she could be the one who took Tokoyami!" Sero cried.

The teachers all looked at each other, what should they do in this situation? Aizawa glared back at the mysterious woman, his cloth scarf still pulled tightly, choking her arms against her body.

"You're coming with me, and you're going to answer all of our questions got it?"

"I understand sir." She stated.

Aizawa started walking back towards the school, and Principal Nezu climbed onto his leg, then maneuvered up to his shoulder. Vlad King rejoined his class however, while Present Mic slowly joined Aizawa, his eyes showing an uncharacteristic anger.

"Wait, that's it?!" Kirishima cried. "Who is she? How did she get here, come on!"

"Relax," Midnight stated quietly. She approached Kirishima and gently grabbed his hands. "We're about to find everything hopefully. The Police Force is on their way, when they get here… the questions start."

"Until then, all of y'all need to get in your dorms." Snipe added.

Class A, Class B, and Kirishima, they nodded in silence, but Shoto saw it all. As quiet as he was, he watched and listened to the crowd, he was shaken by the disappearance much like the others, but he remained composed. As he walked back into his dorm, covered in the black liquid, he approached Kirishima, and in silence, he wrapped his arm around Kirishima's shoulder, and they walked back in.

"We should get whatever this black stuff is off of us, I'm going to take a bath." He said as they entered the common room.

"Good idea, everyone I suggest we do the same," Yaoyorozu stated.

"Okay." Everyone said in unison.

They all walked quickly past Izuku and Bakugo, who stared in confusion and shock. Soon after, Shoto and the other boys entered the changing room and quickly stripped themselves naked, leaving their… contaminated clothes in a basket. They entered the bathroom, with several shower heads spread across the walls, and they all turned them on, the water quickly spraying everywhere.

"I'll draw us a bath, a nice bath always calms things down don't you think?" Shoji asked.

"Yeah… today's just so… I don't even know how to say it." Sero added as he stepped into under his bursting showerhead, the water soaking his hair in seconds.

As they spoke, Shoto had already covered himself in soap, he washed his arms, worked his way onto his torso, then worked downward towards his waist and legs. He stepped under the water rinsing the soap off his body, feeling its pull on every part of his skin. He looked at the floor, watching the black liquid and the soap pouring down the drain, and he glanced at his left, noticing someone's feet. As he looked up, he saw Kirishima, whose skin was also covered in this mysterious substance, yet the boy was simply staring at the floor doing nothing. His toned and incredibly muscular physique couldn't hide it however, the sensation of fear. Shoto could see that the boy's body was shaking, was it in anger? Fear? Guilt?

He couldn't bring the words to his mouth, only his hand. He outstretched his left hand and gently placed it on Kirishima's right shoulder. The boy looked up quietly with his mouth slightly open, his shark-like teeth showing. And as their eyes met in this place, Shoto simply showed Kirishima what he meant. His eyes were calm and focused, even with a modicum of fear. They spoke without speaking, cried without screaming, and with all of that, Shoto simply nodded with the same sentence echoing in his mind.

Don't give up hope.

Hours Later

The night was long and dark, the blue moon shining on the Earth as Shoto slept in his head. His room, much to everyone's shock, was the epitome of a traditional Japanese bedroom. He replaced his back patio door with a shoji style one, the entire hardwood floor was replaced with tatami pads, his desk was even replaced with a traditional chabudai, a low sitting table. A large closet sat next to his desk, there were traditional paper lights, lit with candles. Yet in the end here he laid, sleeping soundly in his bed, the sheets pulled up to his neck. It was tranquil, calm, not a sound to be heard.

KNOCK KNOCK

Until now, Shoto slowly opened his eyes, his vision blurred from his long slumber. He rubbed his left eye, feeling his deep red scar he gained years earlier from his own mother, and he blinked rapidly.

KNOCK

He pulled his sheets off and slowly stood upward, he was wearing a white t-shirt and dark blue pajama pants, and he quietly moved towards his door. He grabbed the handle, pulled it downward, and opened it.

"Hey… Todoroki…" said Kirishima quietly.

"Kirishima…?" Shoto asked in a drowsy daze. He quickly looked back into his room at his clock he kept next to his bed. "Kirishima… it's one in the morning. What is it?"

Kirishima turned his head away for a moment, his hands still shaking from earlier in the bath.

"Can we talk, just you and me?" He asked quietly. "I can't sleep."

Shoto released a deep sigh.

"Sure, come right in."

Kirishima entered the room as Shoto closed his door, and the red-haired boy looked around for a quick moment, then sat down at the foot of the bed. Shoto joined him and together they sat next to each other closely and waited in silence. It felt like time had stopped, for so long they said nothing, Kirishima simply looking at the floor. Shoto looked at the clock, nearly fifteen minutes had passed, and the silence was louder than anything he could think of. The only sound that could even be heard was a soft breeze from outside.

"So… what did you want to talk about?" Shoto asked quietly.

Kirishima continued looking at the floor, his hands shaking more rapidly.

"Did you… want to spend the night here? Maybe having someone with you will help you sleep." Shoto said.

Yet Kirishima continued to sit in silence. Shoto stood up and walked towards his closet, directly across from Kirishima.

"I've got some extra blankets if you-"

Yet as he turned around, he saw something unmistakable, something that made the hair on his arms stand up in shock.

Kirishima broke down into quiet tears, and started crying.

Shoto gasped quietly as Kirishima covered his face with his hands, and in a quick motion Shoto ran up to him.

"Hey, hey what's wrong?" He asked with great concern.

"It's… *sob* it's my fault."

"No it isn't, hey it's gonna be okay."

Shoto gave Kirishima a hug, and the boy continued crying onto his shoulders. Shoto felt as Kiri's arms wrapped around his back and squeezed tightly, to the point that it became difficult to breathe, but this didn't deter either of them. Shoto continued to hold him close, not letting go for a second. He listened as Kiri's voice cracked and choked, trying to breathe. He felt the warm tears soak his right shoulder as Kiri sunk his head onto Shoto's shirt, trying to find some kind comfort, a light in a dark chasm.

"It's my fault that he's gone!" Kirishima whimpered.

"That's not true and you know that." Shoto stated.

"But I was right there! You saw my dive into save him man!" Kirishima cried. "I grabbed him too but those damn things… I could've saved him."

"You did everything you could Kirishima, so did Mr. Aizawa and Yaoyorozu, and everyone else," Shoto replied swiftly. "If anything I should've done more."

"What?! No I saw the ice!" Kirishima protested.

"And I could've done more too!" Shoto responded. "You're not the only one who's feeling that guilt you know, I feel it too."

The two stopped hugging and returned to where they were before. Shoto closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"I should've done something more, get in there like you did, instead I thought my Quirk would handle it like always. Goes to show how much better of a Hero you are honestly."

"What are you talking about?" Kirishima sobbed. "Like I told you I right there, I could've gotten him out."

"I know that, so does everyone else," Shoto stated. "What I'm trying to say is that we all feel guilty, we were all right there, but in the end that… thing got him."

"You're not alone Kirishima… we're all here, and we're in this together like we said earlier…" He continued. "That's what real friends do for each other."

Kiri looked up with a shocked face, and tears fell again.

"You really think that?" He asked.

"Yeah, I do." Shoto stated. "Someone helped me realize that earlier this year…"

The two sat quietly again as time went on, the moon hanging low in the sky.

"You know… one day after school I ran into Tokoyami while shopping with my mom." Kirishima said as he leaned back. "I didn't know this before but he's really competitive."

"Is he?" Shoto asked.

"Yeah, after Mom and I got our things she let us hang out at this arcade in Shinjuku, and we found an air-hockey table. So I asked he wanted to play a game and he said yes."

As he spoke, Shoto could see the joy returning to Kiri's eyes.

"So the first round starts and he's trying to figure out how to play the game, so I showed the ropes and then it got crazy!"

DING

HELL YEAH! GOT ANOTHER ONE! Kirishima's voice echoed.

In this arcade, the neon lights shone on the ceiling, giving the whole place a deep blue glow. Together, Kirishima and Fumikage were standing at an air hockey table, the puck sitting in the middle, and the both of them sitting with their striker paddles. Kirishima slammed the puck right through Fumikage's goal, and the latter stood in complete shock.

I failed?! He cried.

The secret is ricocheting the puck off the rails man! Kirishima lectured. Think about it, everything's about getting the right angle, and when you've got the perfect view? WHAMM!

I see… so mathematics plays into this game. Fumikage replied.

That's… not what I was going for but if you wanna look at it that way then yeah!

The next round started and the announcer went wild. Kirishima got the first hit as the red puck bounced off a rail and aimed for Fumikage's goal. The bird countered by hitting it hard with his paddle, but Kirishima knocked it away once more. Bounce and bounced the puck went, over and over. Fumikage leaned back and forth, stretching his arm as far as it would go over the table, while Kirishima did the same. The puck flew fast with every hit, and both boys were beginning to sweat. The room was hot, Kirishima felt sweat building on his chest and the back of his neck. Fumikage felt the sweat in his armpits and face, yet he grit his teeth under his beak. The puck was perfectly lined up, and Kirishima took a big hit.

TAKE THIS!

WHAM

He hit the puck so hard that it went flying right off the table.

OH CRAP!

Yet in the dark and ambient atmosphere, Fumikage chased after it, the adrenaline pumping through his veins.

Catch it before it hits someone! He thought.

There it was, in the blinding light of the ceiling Fumikage saw the puck. Without thinking he jumped in the air with his paddle, and lined the shot.

HOW ABOUT THIS?!

SMACK

The entire arcade, kids and their parents left and right, all felt their jaws dropped. THe puck screeched through the air as it rocketed back to the table. It was so fast that it caught fire, and it completely smashed into Kirishima's goal.

DING DING DING DING DING

HOMERUN VICTORY!

WOAH! Everyone in the arcade screamed.

Fumikage looked around with confusion, as suddenly everyone in the place started cheering, even clapping for the boy. Kirishima stood up after ducking behind his end of the table, and his face lit up with a smile so big that it made Fumikage blush.

DUDE! THAT. WAS. AWWWEEESOME!

Kirishima ran up and high fived Fumikage so hard that it made the the latter yelp a small bit.

I've never seen that before, way to go Tokoyami!

Fumikage looked around at all the people cheering, his eyes returning to Kirishima who shot his fist into the air with exicitement. Yet in teh end, Fumikage smiled, and…

Heheheh…

Huh? Kirishima asked.

He looked down and saw that Fumikage was chuckling, and when the raven-headed boy looked up, he had a smile on his beak.

This was incredibly fun Kirishima, let's do this again. He said happily.

HELL YEAH! How does next week sound?

Sounds perfect. I look forward to it.

Alright! Seeya tomorrow then man!

Farewell my friend…

As they left the arcade, the two high fived each other one last time, and they went their separate ways…

"Wow… that sounds like you two had fun." Shoto stated in amazement

"It sure was!" Kirishima said with renewed happiness. "And even more than that, I really started to… bond with him in school you know? We started eating together a lot more, and over the summer he started going to the same gym I do! He actually gave me a few pointers on deadlifts, so I helped him with getting stronger and bigger muscles!"

Shoto smirked.

"Yeah… Tokoyami's always been a wildcard."

"Huh, what do you mean?" Kirishima asked.

"Well… before the camp, my sister and I took a trip to the Atago Shrine in Tokyo, and we happened to run into Tokoyami and his parents there."

"Really? He never came off as the kind of guy who was into that stuff." Kirishima replied.

"Neither did I, but there he was I guess. So I went up and greeted him, and introduced him to my sister Fuyumi," Shoto said as he reminisced about that day. "He introduced us to his parents, and they were really nice to us."

"Cool." Kirishima replied.

"Yeah, we all prayed to the kami and then we had some lunch, turns out he likes Soba."

"Ohoho, bet you guys had a field day on that one."

"You didn't need to put it like that, but it was a really nice day." Shoto continued. "I'm glad I ran into him too, he was… how should I put it?"

Shoto brought his hand to his chin and thought for a moment. THen he looked at Kirishima, whose usual spiky hair had fallen down into a long and smooth style.

"It was really comforting just having him there, that's the best I can explain it." Shoto said.

"I get it man, that's good thing to feel too!"

The two of them smiled in silence, and Shoto looked at the clock once more.

"It's almost 1:30, we really should get some sleep." He said.

"Yeah…" Kirishima yawned.

"Did you wanna stay here for the night?" Shoto asked.

"Sure, I'd like that." Kirishima replied.

Shoto nodded and went for his closet, he opened its bamboo doors and grabbed several blankets. Together he and Kirishima neatly placed the sheets on the soft floor, and after a few moments Kirishima laid down, and pulled them over. Shoto climbed back into his bed and pulled the sheets over top, the room coming to a silence once more.

"Hey… Todoroki?"

"Yeah?"

Kirishima sat in a quick silence.

"Thanks for the talk man… I-I really needed it." He said quietly.

"That's what friends do for each other, don't worry about it." Shoto said as he began falling asleep. "Kirishima, we will find him, okay?"

Kirishima chuckled.

"Yeah… together…"

Shoto… smiled.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight Todoroki."

As the moon blanketed the room, together, Shoto and Kirishima drifted to a soft sleep, the two of them feeling… saved.

"Are we ready to start?" A voice asked.

"Yeah…" Aizawa replied.

Together, Aizawa, Detective Tsukauchi of the Police Force, Midnight, and Principal Nezu all sat at a table across from the woman, the woman who appeared from a bolt of lightning hours earlier. The woman was sitting in a chair with her black handcuff device strapped to her wrist, yet she was also restrained to the chair. On the table was a glass of water for her to drink, and a machine. She simply looked forward with a tired and exhausted face, her eyes trained on everyone in front of her. Aizawa couldn't sense any hostile intent, but nonetheless, they needed answers.

"Earlier today you just 'appeared' in front of my students. Was that your Quirk?" Aizawa asked.

"I… don't understand… a 'Quirk?'" The woman asked. "I've never heard of such a thing."

Aizawa and the others all looked at each other, and silently returned their eyes to this person.

"You don't know what Quirks are?" Midnight asked. "I find that hard to believe."

"It's the truth, I have no reason to lie," The woman said patiently. "I need to know though… is my brother safe?"

"Your brother?" Tsukauchi asked. "We don't know who your referring to, but why don't we start this from the basics."

"Yes, we can't establish anything until we know who you are first." Nezu added.

The woman tilted her head and raised her eyebrows.

"Did that… bear thing just talk?" She asked in shock.

"Yep! I'm a bear, dog, red panda or whatever else mammal who's the principal of this academy, but I digress." Nezu said as he pulled out a cigarette. Aizawa grabbed a lighter and lit the end of the cigarette. Nezu took a breath and exhaled smoke into the room.

"And it smokes too… so my theory was right…" The woman replied.

"Theory? Can you elaborate?" Aizawa asked.

The woman sighed.

"Well we have to start from the beginning right? Best if I start with my name."

The lights burrowed heavy on everyone's shoulders, for the truth is something no one can really grasp, not until all the pieces are shown. For now, the first piece was about to be revealed…

"My name is Saoirse Summers, and I'll answer every question to the best of my ability."
