Jade: Robarazzi
What annoyed Jade the most was that due to Robbie's stupid The Slap videos girls thought that Beck was single and flocked to him even more than they had before all this had started. It didn't help that Beck kept joking about it. She knew that he wasn't serious about wanting to break up with her and that he was only teasing her just the same way he did with letting girls flirt with him, but she didn't like it. The thing that definitely crossed the line was when Robbie posted the video with them in the car. She immediately called Tori and told her that she should fix this, it was her fault after all.
Later on the same evening Andre, Beck and her met at Tori's house to plan revenge or how the others called it 'a solution'. She still thought that revenge would be better, but she was outnumbered. They sat down, Jade with her legs in Beck's lap and his arm around her, to discuss the best way to go about the problem. Suddenly Tori asked her where Cat was, but her only answer was that Cat was probably busy buying something from the Sky Store. After a while they came up with a plan to make Robbie stop with his Robarazzi blog and decided to watch a movie. Jade wasn't happy about spending even more time at the Vega household, but with Beck so close to her and the admittedly delicious popcorn in front of her it was bearable.
The next day at school their plan worked an Robbie finally stopped posting videos about them, so there was only one problem left. Jade knew that the others had taken the Sky Store brochure away from Cat, but she knew her best friend. Cat surely had more than one brochure and would find a way to get money from someone. When she saw Cat talking to Sinjin, she knew that she was right. Cat should be responsible enough to know when she had enough useless stuff, but it was Cat after all.
After Sinjin ran away, Jade approached Cat. Despite that they were so different Cat was one of the few people who she could not only tolerate but liked as well. Others may think that Jade didn't care about other people, but she did and Cat was one of these special persons who she cared about. The two knew each other for years and had become friends even before she had met Beck. If someone could talk Cat out of buying all that useless stuff it would be her. Taking a hold of Cat's new Sky Store brochure she spoke up, her voice loud and demanding.
"No." She ripped the brochure in two.
"But-"
"NO." That seemed to do the trick, because Cat nodded sadly. Sighing Jade continued. "Come on let's get you some candy and me my coffee."
When Cat's face lightened up and she bounced off with a loud 'yay I love candy' Jade smiled slightly. Sometimes, and with that she meant more often than not, Cat was like a child and that made it easy for her to be her friend. It still surprised Jade from time to time that Cat openly admitted that she was her best friend, after all most people were scared of her, but she would be lying if she would say that she wasn't happy about it. Following Cat first to get the promised candy and then outside to the coffee cart she saw that Beck was already waiting for her with her lunch on their table. While Cat went to buy herself something to eat Jade sat down next to her boyfriend, who greeted her with a kiss.
"Hey babe, everything alright?"
"Sure, Robbie stopped his stupid blog and Cat will stop buying useless stuff from the Sky Store."
When Beck told her how he and the others had talked to Cat about it and that it seemed it had done the trick she kept quiet. Why should she tell him that it wasn't him that had stopped Cat? Everything was alright again and that was what mattered.
Beck: Robarazzi
Beck was glad that the whole Robarazzi thing ended. It was annoying that everywhere they had gone and everything they had done was filmed and posted on The Slap. Robbie's new blog might not be so popular and interesting, but he found it way better than the other one. Maybe now everything could go back to normal and no secrets would be revealed.
The lunch break after Robbie had stopped his blog was peaceful and Beck enjoyed spending it with his girlfriend and friends. However when they all got up to go to class, Robbie stopped him. Knowing that he probably wanted to have girl advice from him, Beck made sure to tell Jade that he would see her later before turning to his friend. The uneasy look that Robbie gave him however was strange, because that wouldn't be the first time he gave him advice. When Robbie pulled a USB-stick out of his bag, Beck knew there was more to it.
"Before I stopped Robarazzi a ninth grader recorded this and I think you should watch it. I never told anyone about it and the ninth grader swore to me that he won't tell either, so please tell Jade not to hurt me."
At Robbie's words Beck was more than a little confused. What had the ninth grader recorded and what had Robbie seen that would made Jade so angry? Sure, she was angry about the video about them in his car, but it seemed that this was even more personal when Robbie was so afraid of her. Nodding at his friend that he understood, he put the USB-stick away and made his way to class. He would watch it later in his RV where he knew no one else would accidentally see it as well.
For once Beck was thankful that Jade had to pick up her little brother from school on Thursdays so she would come over later. Sitting down on his bed, he connected the stick to his laptop and the video began playing. The thing he immediately recognized was the living room of Mr. West's house. He had only been there two times when he had picked up Jade. It was a very expensive looking room and gave away a very cold atmosphere which was very fitting for the man who lived there. Beck had only met Jade's father one time when he had rang the door bell and he instead of Jade had opened the door. His girlfriend had immediately come downstairs and without a goodbye to her father closed the door behind her and pulled him to his car. The only thing Jade had ever told him was that her father hated creative people and that she didn't have a good relationship with him. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Beck focused back on the video.
In the video Jade and her father entered the living room, both obviously not knowing that they were filmed. Beck was surprised that he could even hear what they were talking about. He had to admit that the ninth graders knew how to do their job.
"How would you know anything about it. Your boyfriend is only with you because he needs someone to warm his bed. You don't get to judge about me remarrying." The cold voice of Mr. West could be heard on screen.
The camera zoomed in on Jade's shocked face and Beck could clearly see the hurt in her eyes. The only time Beck had seen Jade's father he hadn't liked him because of his cold demeanor, but now he really hated him. How could a father say something like that to his own daughter?
"You know nothing about me and Beck. Go and marry your dumb secretary. See if I care." His girlfriend screamed at her father on screen and stormed out of the room. After that the picture faded to black.
It was only a short video, but it showed how broken the relationship between Jade and her father really was. Had Robbie posted it, it would have surely ruined a good portion of his girlfriend's reputation. No one was ever allowed to see this, so Beck deleted the video and pulled the stick out. Just to make sure he went over to his tool box and took out a hammer to destroy the small device. He highly doubted that Robbie wanted it back anyway. When he was just done picking up the remaining pieces of the broken stick someone knocked on his door and a few seconds later Jade entered his RV. She greeted him with a small kiss and demanded that they watch the new horror movie that she had bought before picking up her brother. He just nodded and they snuggled up on his bed, but he couldn't focus on the movie. What Mr. West had said to his daughter was still bothering him. These words couldn't be farther from the truth. He loved Jade honestly with all his heart.
"I love you. I mean, I really love you, you know that right?" The words were out of his mouth before he could stop them. He just had to let her know how serious his feelings for her were.
Normally Jade hated if he talked while they were watching a movie, but something in his voice must have shown her how important this was to him.
"Babe, what brought this on?" She was turning in his arms so she was able to look at him, her eyes showing concern for him.
It was then, that he decided that he wouldn't tell her about the video. Seeing her in such a vulnerable moment without her consent wasn't right. If she wanted to talk to him about it, he would let her, but he wouldn't force her to explain the things that she had discussed with her father. There was only one thing that he wanted and that was that she knew how he felt about her.
"I only want you to know that I love you with all my heart." He looked into her eyes, trying to let her see that he really meant it.
"I know. I do too." She mirrored the look that he was trying to give her. In her deep blue eyes he saw the love she felt for him and the trust that she had in their relationship.
Beck knew that she loved him and he really hoped that she knew that he felt the same way. Her father's words were lies. Mr. West didn't know them, not him and sadly not his own daughter. Their relationship was special and when he leaned down to kiss Jade, he knew that he could be very happy to have found true love at such a young age.
