Jeongguk stopped suddenly and looked up at the ceiling as it rumbled ominously. With a shy smile he looked behind him to see Teileo standing a ways away, just watching him. She was keeping her distance, one because she wasn't used to physical contact still, and two, she didn't want to crowd the poor boy who seemed to be rethinking his decision of showing her his home. "It's okay." He called, patting the wall next to him. "She's a Jeon." He said, looking up at the ceiling as it seemed to bow. Jeongguk bowed back, and she quickly followed suit. Watching as the building seemed to shudder and the cherry wood door that had been missing from the entrance, the one she'd loved in her youth, materialized before them.

"How?" She whispered, her eyes widened in shock. It was amazing the strength of the magic holding this place together, if she didn't know any better her father's blood magic was used here.

Jeongguk gave her that cheeky smirk once more and opened the door. The room that greeted her was something out of a magazine. They door led to the gate of a home. The home was all wood, windows, and white plaster. The gray tiled roof blending in with the clouds above. There was a small grassy area with a pond and stepping stones leading to the home. To the right of the gate was a wooden structure that housed a large cement pool/ seating area. There was fabric hanging down to cover the area to most likely give it shade or keep the weather away. The red wood of the wall surrounding the property brought out by the white color of the cement.

She didn't realize she was staring until the lights inside the small home turned on and brought the pond to life, the reflection bouncing off the water magnificently and creating an ethereal feel to the area. Jeongguk had made it inside and was changing his shoes by the time she started forward, crossing the small yard to the large, square, cement stepping stone. They were clean and dry, as if the storm she'd created had no effect on them, unlike the rest of the lawn. She was curious as to what caused that, but brushed it off in favor of seeing inside her nephew's home.

There was a second pair of slippers set out for her, Jeongguk's shoes stacked neatly on the rack beside the large sliding glass door. Switching out she shoes, she distractedly looked around. The inside was clean and white with exposed wood ceilings, and walls. The lights inside were long thin tubes held up by wire that connected to round buttons instead of switches. Everything was warm and minimalist. The art work inside, nothing like the paintings in the palace, these were nature scenes. The one next to the door depicting a bird standing in the reeds as it's feathers glittered beautifully in the sunlight. The dinning room table in front of her was made of some sort of glossy material. There was a window looking at the growing trees behind the house, a wooden bench, covered in a soft cushion underneath facing the door, with two light wood chair facing the window. To the right of the table were two shelves built into the wall. Jars lined the top shelf, filled with herbs and what she assumed were things used in spells while the other was filled with empty glasses. To the left of the table was the kitchen.

This area was made with slightly darker wood for the counters and clean white subway tiles on the walls. There were floating shelves with ingredients and spices, and a large metal sink empty of dishes. There is where she found Jeongguk, his hair seemed longer here, falling around his chin in loose curls, his dark eyes were fixed on the contents of a drawer filled with metal canisters, each filled with what smelled like tea. His clothing was replaced by a loose long sleeved black shirt, and large lounge pants. He looked comfortable and so very young standing in his own kitchen. The stove was white, and a single stainless-steel kettle sat on top, the younger clearly making tea for them to share.

Growing curious, Teileo continued to explore and found a seating area that over looked the front of the house. A long thin block of wood set in the middle with tea cups and a lantern as the only thing in the area. The paintings that decorated the rest of the area didn't touch this area. It was clearly a place for quiet contemplation and was not to be disturbed by useless things. There were no cushions that she could find, but that didn't stop her from removing her slippers and crawling on the platform. Her gifts seemed to settle here. The slats of wood in the glass door showing the lights dancing around the forest surrounding them and the imposing gate, but all was quiet here.

A sigh left Jeongguk's lips and the tension she hadn't noticed in his shoulders disappeared. It seemed her thoughts and powers silencing in the small home were enough to relax Jeongguk's own powers. His lips turned up into a small barely there smile as he continued to get the tea ready. The comfortable silence around them bringing the warmth inside to fill it's occupants. She'd been without people for the better part of three years, keeping to herself and sending her guards a letter whenever she remembered, but that was the only time she'd allowed herself to be near others. This was different. This was like her father's arms wrapping around her tightly as he gave her a wide smile and encouraged her to do her best, this was BeomSeok's approving smiles and gentle head pats. BeomSu's boisterous laugh that only came out around those he trusted and adored. This was her mother's lovely singing voice filling the halls of the castle as she played the haegeum. This was coming home.

She wasn't even aware she'd started crying until the tear hit her hand, surprised she wiped away the moisture and closed her eyes. Breathing in the feeling she'd been missing for so long.
