Disclaimer: If you truly think Pirates of the Caribbean is mine, then nothing I say in this disclaimer can convince you otherwise.

A/N: This was a poem for an 8th grade English assignment on internal rhyme. (An A+ I might add.) Internal rhyme is rhyming inside the line instead of at the ends of lines. Those rhyming words are underlined. There's also a reference to slant rhyme which isn't an exact rhyme, but it still sounds close.

Pirates in Rhyme

Young brave Will was ready to kill

To save his dear Elizabeth

But let me start at the beginning of this part

Of Pirates of the Caribbean

First Elizabeth sings about pirates and rings out a holler

When she sees Will floating in water

The Aztec gold looked very old

And was hanging around Will's neck

With present time I have to slant rhyme

When I say the Commodore wanted to marry her

She fell in the water and Jack went to save her

When Norrington proposed and Sparrow tried to commandeer a ship

Norrington made Sparrow an appointment with the gallow

But Captain Jack Sparrow planned to miss it

Will and Jack fought but Sparrow got caught

Then the Black Pearl attacked Port Royal

Elizabeth called herself Turner so that Barbossa wouldn't hurt her

But a Turner was just what he needed

Will and Jack steal a ship of the fleet and retreat

To Tortuga where they pick up a crew

They rescue Miss Swann completely on cue

But Jack gets left behind

The situation gets tight as the two ships fight

With the Pearl coming out on top

Jack and Elizabeth are marooned and I swooned

When Jack tried to talk his way out (How can you not love him?)

Elizabeth sunk to the level of getting Jack drunk

So she could burn the rum as a signal the next day (not good)

They were found the next morning and realization is dawning

For Will that his dad was a pirate

The curse is soon lifted because Jack is so gifted

At balancing his skill and his luck

Jack is almost hung at Port Royal but his crew is so loyal

That they disobeyed the Code and came back

Jack and Will fight though their chances are nil

And Jack is almost caught once again

Jack does escape in fact with his dignity in tact

Or at least a little of it

The kids are left to live their love in a life as peaceful as a dove

After Norrington and the Governor give them their blessings

And Jack is hauled back aboard as he's called

The rightful captain of the Black Pearl

This is the end but don't worry my friend

The next one comes out in 2006
