Hello, readers. WaterDragonMaverick here to say that "Go Go RWBY Rangers" isn't dead. It's been quite a while since this story was continued because of life and other projects, but I'm ready to keep going with it after all this time. Especially since the wonderful Super Sentai series, "Kiramager" and "Zenkaiger" came to an end. Those seasons were great and it would be interesting to use the characters from them in a potential crossover chapter.

Anyways, last time we left off, a camping trip for the Rangers ended up turning into a monster fight from not only a snake monster, but a transformed Adam Taurus that wanted to hunt down Blake personally. After a tough battle that had Blake and Yang facing off against the Black Ranger's ex, everyone was able to enjoy their time in the woods.

As for this time, I think we need to focus on a different character because of the importance she had in canon. And what better way to have her get involved more than bringing in somebody she knows too well? What will happen to our heroes now? You'll just need to read and see for yourself.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

RWBY is owned by Rooster Teeth and was created by Monty Oum (R.I.P)

Power Rangers was created by Haim Saban

General Ironwood was pacing in the Clock Tower Laboratory as he went over the footage and reports of the camping incident. "They're getting bolder," he stated to Pietro, Qrow, and Oscar. "Not only was Adam Taurus a large enough threat to damage the Rangers' equipment, but he needed to be defeated for good with Burning Gold."

"It was quite the surprise to hear about that," Pietro remarked as he inspected the damage to Blake's weapon. "This should be a simple fix," he muttered as he went to work on the blade.

"Salem's attacks are getting bigger," Ironwood says. "We need to take the fight to her."

Hearing this, Qrow and Oscar didn't think it was a smart idea. "Jimmy, a direct fight against Salem wouldn't deal with her. Her forces could take a loss, but she'd just get back up and try again," Qrow said. "Oz has been facing her for a long time."

"Not to mention that it would cost us a number of people on our side," Oscar added.

"Then we should get more people," Ironwood stated. "If the military were to become involved more, then we'll have a better shot," he said.

"I don't think those guys at the base we've been to would handle everything well," Qrow remarked about the soldiers that Ruby and the others met before.

"It would be best if we handled this at our own pace," Oscar said. "We have an idea of what to do when we have to face Salem herself."

Ironwood sighed as he thought it over, but didn't want to say anything. "I need some time for myself," he told the other men before leaving.

"I'm getting a bad feeling from this," Oscar muttered.

"You and me both," Qrow agreed. "Jimmy's been a great ally for getting all of our equipment, but he's not the most emotional guy. I'm surprised that he's even got a semblance of a heart."

"Ironwood's obviously trying to look at the bigger picture," Pietro said. "But sometimes, that picture may not be the prettiest."

Qrow sighed as he knew something would happen in the future, but didn't know what. He only hoped that Ruby would be able to help in the fight. Then, he wondered where his niece was. "Hey, do either of you know where Ruby is? I don't think she has a class now."

Thinking about it, Pietro scratched his head as he tried to recall the whereabouts of the Red Ranger, but Oscar was the first to speak up. "I think she said that she was with either Maria or her dad."

Ruby Rose was relaxing on the sofa of her dorm's common room while Maria Calavera joined her. The two were spending their time watching reruns of 'The Proud Family' and were watching one of Ruby's favorite episodes. "I love the baseball episode with Suga Mama. She's so great," the Red Ranger said.

"Hehehe... She kind of reminds me of myself," Maria remarked.

"You mean you wrestled giant men three times your size and made them cry for their moms before," Ruby asked jokingly.

"Yup," Maria answered with a grin on her face. Hearing that answer, Ruby was surprised and didn't exactly have a reply.

"Seriously?"

"Well, not wrestling. I still fought them," Maria said. "I was Carbuncle's guardian for quite a while."

Ruby nodded as she remembered what Maria first said to her before when she was originally looking for the Battlizer. Just then, a thought popped into the Ranger's head. "How did you get those robot eyes?"

Hearing Ruby's question, Maria's grin went away and she sighed. "It was a long time ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday," she told Ruby. "As I said before, Carbuncle returns me to my prime as long as I'm protecting him. With your use of him, I returned to my current age. I lost my vision many decades ago against somebody that was tasked with hunting people with Silver Eyes."

As Maria explained this, the rest of the Rangers soon arrived. "Hey, Ruby. What's going on," Yang asked her sister as every Power Ranger gathered together.

"Maria was telling me how she lost her Silver Eyes," Ruby explained.

"I was traveling when I ended up having to fight a monster. With Carbuncle by my side and my weapons, I was able to defeat them. However, there was somebody waiting for me after the fight ended," Maria explained. "A Crocodile Faunus that went by the name of Tock."

"I've heard that name before," Oscar said as he searched Ozpin's memories. "I think she was one of Salem's enforcers in the past, but she went missing."

"Missing? Don't be ridiculous," Maria told the boy before cheerfully saying her next words. "She's dead. I made sure of it."

"Whoa, wait a minute. Let me get this straight," Qrow interrupted. "You killed Tock? I heard she had the power to become completely invulnerable for a full minute."

"She was. But after she managed to blind me in our battle, I was able to cut her head off when her limit was over," Maria explained.

"You fought a crocodile lady, lost your magic eyes to her, then proceeded to cut her head off," Nora questioned as she heard the story. "That's awesome! Will you be my new grandma?"

Maria cackled as Nora said that. "I don't think so," the old lady said, which made Nora slump onto the sofa.

After hearing what Maria told them, Qrow stared at her. "You're... you're the Grimm Reaper," he said in awe. "Back when I was a kid, I heard legends of a masked woman that could kill monsters with one look and wielded twin scythes called 'Life and Death'. I based my own weapon off of those stories because Ozpin had us make our own gear at the time."

"Wait, does that make Maria technically Ruby's grandma and it's not just a cover now," Jaune questioned. Thinking about it, Ruby and Maria just shrugged.

"In any case, I say that we prepare for our next fight. Who knows what we'll be up against when Salem sends in another monster," Weiss said.

In Salem's domain, she was using some magic to animate a cloud of smoke to figure out what potential monster she could send out while her enforcers and minions were in a throne room of sorts. After another minute, she clenched her fist and the smoke vanished. "Doctor Watts. How is everything with your projects," the witch asked the scientist.

"I successfully gave Tyrian his new tail and he's testing how it functions with his body," Watts reported. "As for my other work, I'm nearing completion of my own invention that will have more than enough capability to go against the Rangers."

"And how long will that take," Salem asked patiently.

Going over the numbers in his head, Watts grimaced before giving the answer. "Another week at minimum. I have to go over the programming and check all the weaponry."

"Leave it to the doctor to leave us waiting for results," Cinder remarked. "I can go and handle the Rangers myself," she declared as a flame engulfed her hand.

"No," Salem said. "You will stay here as I have another enforcer in mind."

Confused by what she meant, Emerald and Hazel watched as Tyrian soon came to Salem's side with a set of metal teeth. "What is that? A bear trap," Mercury asked.

"These are the remains of one of my greatest enforcers, Tock," Salem answered, surprising Hazel and confusing Emerald more. Soon, she held out her hand and the teeth began to glow a sinister shade of green. Soon, black smoke and sludge spiraled around the metal and formed a body that grew from the teeth. The tar-like ooze changed to flesh and scales as the metal teeth grinned evilly. After another minute, a woman stood before everyone. "Hello again, Tock," Salem greeted.

The revived Crocodile Faunus had a shaved head with a grayish-green mohawk, yellow eyes, patches of scales on her face and arms, and an x-shaped scar on the left side of her head. She also dressed similarly to a pirate with dark green shirt, a dark brown corset, black and gray trousers, and black shoes. On the strap of her corset was a large stopwatch that looked more like an alarm clock as well as a pair of cutlass swords. Looking at the audience she was surrounded by, she grinned and freaked out Emerald when the Faunus showed off her sharp set of metal teeth. "Well, 'ello. I thought I wouldn't see you again, Master," Tock replied as she looked at Salem. "Last I 'member, I was fighting that Grimm Reaper you wanted dead."

"You were successful in robbing her of her greatest ability, but you underestimated her in your last moments," Salem said, prompting Tock to think back and rub her neck. "Because of the current issues I'm dealing with, I've revived you to give you a second chance. I want you to find the Power Rangers and kill them. All but the Red Ranger with Silver Eyes."

"Didn't you want the Grimm Reaper dead 'cause of her eyes," Tock questioned, but still grinned at the assignment she was given.

"I have something special planned for her," the witch said, making Emerald uncomfortable and Cinder angry. "And to make sure the Rangers won't triumph, you'll see that I increased your abilities significantly."

Tock flexed her fingers and could feel a surge of power flow through her body. "Alright. I'll be sure to handle all of them for you," Tock stated before her scales started to change shape and turn like gears.

Back at Emerald Vale, the Rangers were checking over all their equipment after Pietro fixed up Blake's swords. Seeing the gold coloring that fixed up the folding blade, Blake was satisfied with her weapon's repair. "Thank you, Pietro," the Black Ranger said to the old man.

"Oh, it's no problem. A simple fix. Not like if I had to repair the Megazord by hand," he chuckled. "How about you all go get something to eat? I still have work to do on upgrading the machines."

Nodding in agreement, the Rangers all went off to get lunch. While they all walked through the courtyard, they heard a strange ticking sound. "You hear that," Blake asked as she was the first to speak.

"Yeah," Jaune responded. "Is that a clock?"

Hearing the ticking around them, the Rangers soon saw a woman with crocodile scales appear from thin air, holding a pair of swords in her hands. "Well, how about that? All of you ready for me as soon as I get here. Lucky me," the scaled woman remarked as she looked at everyone.

"Who are you," Oscar questioned as he looked at the woman.

"Looks like some girl in need of moisturizer," Nora quipped when she saw the scales.

"That's not dry skin. She's a Faunus," Blake stated to everyone.

"Right you are, luv," the woman said with a grin, showing her metal teeth to everyone.

Taking note of the scales and teeth, Qrow was the first to reach for his Morphing Scroll. "That's Tock," he said, putting everyone on guard when most of them recognized the name from Maria Calavera.

"I see somebody knows his history about my master," Tock responded, taking her stopwatch into her hands and turning the crank. As the clock was being wound up, the Rangers all morphed and prepared for battle. "Then you all should know about what I'm capable of," the Crocodile Faunus said before tossing the clock and some Black Beads into the air. As soon as they all hit the ground, Gremlins formed and the clock started to tick.

With the sound of the clock, the revived crocodile woman started to glow before she rushed at the Rangers, barely giving them time to transform. When they all did, they fought against the Gremlin horde and the Faunus. The Rangers carved through every Gremlin with ease, but soon realized that every attack sent at Tock was easily stopped. Gunshots hit her and left no marks, blades bounced off of her body like nothing happened, punches and bashing weapons felt like hitting a concrete wall, and elemental attacks didn't even bother the woman. "You weren't kidding about that invulnerability," Yang remarked to Qrow after being kicked away by Tock.

"It only lasts for 60 seconds, which is why she has that alarm clock with her," Qrow stated before blocking Tock's sword swings.

"All the more reason to bite your heads off as fast as I can, lil' birdie," Tock remarked, showing a sinister grin and letting her metal teeth shine in the sunlight. As soon as she did, the Faunus rushed at Qrow and tried to slash at him, only for his giant sword to block the attack. As sparks flew off the blades, the veteran Ranger was physically able to match the revived reptilian woman, but Tock had other plans. With a sudden movement of her head, Tock bit down on Qrow's sword and threw the blade aside after the initial surprise. "Told you I bite," Tock said before she felt an explosive hit her in the head, but the attack failed to do anything.

"Come on over here so I can knock that bear trap out of your mouth," Nora exclaimed as she switched her weapon into its hammer mode and the head began to spark with electricity. Charging forward, the Pink Ranger was ready to slam her weapon into Tock's jaw when a pair of Gremlins intercepted the attack and Tock took the chance to slash at Nora, causing sparks to fly off her uniform. "ARGH!"

"Nora," Ren called out before he rushed to help. While he did, Jaune defended against Tock's blades with his shield.

As the Blue Ranger defended against the savage fighter, Ruby took aim and fired several shots at Tock. Shrugging off the blasts, the Crocodile Faunus only grinned as she saw the girl. "Well, well, well. There's the girl I'm after," the scaled woman said before rushing after her next target. Seeing Tock run at her, Ruby was quick to use her power to avoid the swords before attacking once again, firing shot after shot in hopes of slowing Tock down. Unfortunately, nothing was working and Tock ran through each attack that bounced off her body. When the Crocodile Faunus was close enough, she was about to slash at Ruby before she heard the alarm of her stopwatch go off. Gasping as she heard it, Tock quickly ran back before the glow from before returned and flew off her body like scales being shed off a reptile. "You lot are lucky that I'm still getting used to the 'being revived' thing. I'll be back later," Tock said to the Rangers before a different ticking sound was heard and the scaled woman vanished.

When Tock left, the Rangers all collapsed from exhaustion. "That was too close," Ruby said.

"We need to figure out what to do about her," Blake said.

"Let's talk to Pietro and Maria," Oscar suggested.

After returning to the Clock Tower, the Rangers explained everything that happened. As they did, Ironwood paced nervously while Pietro scratched his head in thought. "I could work on more weapon upgrades for you all, but I'm not sure if they'll be ready for you by the time she appears again," Pietro stated.

"Better safe than sorry," Weiss replied. "We'll need all the help we can get."

Thinking about it, Pietro nodded. "I have one idea for Yang, so she'll be able to help more when Tock returns." Hearing that, the Gold Ranger was intrigued and started speaking with the inventor away from everyone else.

While the others planned out what to do, Maria looked at Ruby with concern. "She said that she was after you," the old woman asked.

"Yeah," Ruby answered. "I think Salem wants me dead so I can't stop her with my powers."

Maria brought a hand up to her mechanical eyes as she remembered when she first fought Tock. "Silver Eyes have always been unique in this world," she told Ruby. "If those people are after you, then your lack of experience with them will be your downfall. Same with relying on them too much. After I lost my eyes, I improvised with what I had to kill that assassin then and there."

"Well, what if you taught me more about how to use them or Carbuncle? You told me that he's got more powers than the Battlizer," Ruby suggested.

"That would take too long," Blake stated.

"We'll just have to wait for Pietro to finish the new equipment," Weiss declared. "I'm sure that Tock's abilities need time to recharge to full strength anyway."

Oscar nodded before Ozpin spoke up while taking control of their shared body. "Tock's 60 seconds of complete invulnerability do require an hour of waiting before she can use it again," he told everyone.

"That doesn't give us much time," Pyrrha remarked.

"I can try helping my father with the work on your weaponry," Penny said. "It will cut down on the wait time significantly."

"Thanks, Penny," Ruby told the robot girl, who smiled at the Red Ranger.

As everyone figured out what their plan would be, Maria sighed as she came to a conclusion. "I was the one who ended that woman's life in the first place, so there's only one choice," she said to herself.

Tock was waiting for the hour to pass by as her abilities recharged. "Those kids and that dusty ol' bird are better than I thought. Guess I'll have to try out some of those new tricks Master gave me," she remarked to herself as the scales on her face moved like the gears of a clock. Soon, she began to transform into a new look. Her scales spread over more of her body, her shoulders had clock gears as armor, she grew a crocodile tail, and an alarm clock formed in her chest. "Huh. Not bad. I could get used to this," Tock said to herself.

"You look like a giant purse," said a voice that Tock recognized.

"Well, it's been some time," the monster said as she saw who it was.

Stepping into view with a cat on their shoulder, Maria Calavera narrowed her mechanical eyes at the abomination she saw. "It has."

Tock saw Maria's goggle-like prosthetic eyes and chuckled. "Well, looks like you got yourself some new eyes after last time."

"Yes, I did. They help me see how much uglier you are now that you're some sort of zombie. I had no idea they could walk around during the day. Or am I thinking about vampires," Maria joked. "Either way, you look like you need to be put out of everyone else's misery."

Tock only chuckled evilly as she heard what Maria said. "I'd like to see a defenseless old lady like you would do."

Maria narrowed her eyes at Tock before a flash of silver light appeared on her shoulder. "I'm not as defenseless as you think," the elderly woman stated as Carbuncle appeared. With the creature's eyes shining silver, Maria soon turned into her younger self when she first met Ruby, complete with her eyes returning to normal. "I may have run away from you in the past after I killed you, but not anymore. Your time came to an end decades ago. The Grimm Reaper shall collect your life and send it back where it belongs," the younger woman said before a skull mask formed over her face.

Seeing and hearing this, Tock laughed and gave a grin to show off her metal teeth. "What a perfect time to see what new abilities I have," the clock-themed crocodile monster exclaimed as the clock on her chest started to wind up.

"Are bad puns one of them," Maria retorted as the cane she carried soon duplicated and transformed into a pair of scythes.

Tock simply glared at Maria before she made her first move. With her scales spinning, she soon launched gear-shaped projectiles at the Grimm Reaper. But Maria easily avoided the attack and countered by slashing at Tock with her scythes. The monster woman deflected the blades with her own, then slammed her tail into the Grimm Reaper. When that happened, Maria rolled onto the ground before she recovered from the attack and dodged more energy gears.

While Maria avoided the attacks, she began to slash at Tock and managed to inflict some damage on her when sparks flew from her scales and the revived Faunus stepped backward, clutching where she was hurt. "So, looks like I can hurt you," Maria remarked. "Is that because you thought you got too cocky about your new powers?"

Tock only growled in response before unleashing a soundwave attack from the alarm on her chest. The ringing echoed through the area and shattered nearby glass before the Grimm Reaper threw a rock at her by slapping a loose stone with her scythe like a hockey player taking a shot at the puck. As the alarm was hit, it was silenced and the monster glared at Maria. "Is that all the Grimm Reaper can do?"

Maria only answered by combining the ends of her scythes into a large double-bladed staff, then twirled it around in a flourish before releasing a wave of silver energy at Tock. "You tell me," Maria retorted as she watched Tock defend herself with her weapons. The two soon clashed with each other and as their weapons gave off sparks, the Power Rangers all arrived.

"What's going on here," asked Jaune as he watched the battle.

Seeing the familiar mask and weaponized cane, Ruby saw that Maria was battling Tock. "The Grimm Reaper's back in action," the Red Ranger stated.

As the two old foes clashed, Tock snarled before releasing more gear scales as an attack. Maria was able to avoid the projectiles and even catch one in her weapon before sending it flying back toward Tock. Tock only stood her ground and caught the projectile with her teeth, biting down on it and crushing it into pieces. "You definitely haven't lost it," Tock remarked as she glared at Maria, but stabbed her swords into the ground. When she did, large gears emerged from the ground and began to interlock with each other, spinning at high speeds to prevent the other Rangers from interfering with the battle. "But I'll make sure you lose your life this time, Grimm Reaper!"

Maria watched as Tock removed her swords from the ground, then activated her invulnerability power. With the ticking of a clock sounding more intimidating than the gears surrounding her, the Silver-Eyed Warrior stayed on her guard before Tock rushed at her. With Tock's speed and defense, she recklessly attacked Maria, not bothering to avoid the gears trapping them and even jumping around with them as platforms. 'She's definitely taking advantage of her new abilities, but I bet she'd lose track if something were to distract her,' Maria thought as Carbuncle was still on the battlefield with Maria from the start.

As if reading the woman's mind, Carbuncle snuck around the battleground while Maria and Tock continued to clash. As the mechanical creature made it behind the monster assassin, Maria caught Tock's swords against the handle of her double-sided scythe. Circling around and moving positions, Maria soon ducked and let Carbuncle onto her back. In a blinding flash of light, Tock shouted in surprise and covered her face from Carbuncle's distraction. However, it was too late for her and in her stumbling blinded state, Maria took the opportunity to kick Tock between the teeth of two large gears. With Tock's invulnerability, she wasn't taking damage from the metal crushing at her body, but the gears were able to keep her from moving. "Cheap trick," Tock roared out in anger.

"And being able to ignore all damage for a full minute isn't? I bet that if you didn't have that power, you'd be dead again," Ruby exclaimed, calling out Tock and adding to the distraction.

"Watch your tongue before I rip out your eyes, too," Tock snapped at Ruby before grabbing the teeth of the gears and biting down with her metal jaws. Because of her new form and abilities, the Crocodile Faunus was able to break the gears she was trapped between, but it cost her the remaining time she had and she fell to her knees. "Ugh... Oh no," she muttered as Maria came running at her again with her scythe.

Ready to live up to her alias, Maria was prepared to send the long-dead soul back to where it was meant to be. Staring down at Tock from behind her skull mask, the Grimm Reaper twirled her weapon and silver energy glowed from the blades. "Return to where you belong," she muttered before unleashing several slashes at Tock. After the final blow was struck, Tock's body sparked with silver energy before a large explosion enveloped the crocodile-clock monster and the resulting smoke cloud was shaped into a skull. In the end, the only thing that remained of Tock was the bear trap that she called teeth.

After witnessing the battle, everyone was amazed at the finish before Maria's mask fell off and shattered against the ground. When it did, she returned to her normal age and Ruby immediately made sure that she didn't fall over. "Maria, are you okay," the Red Ranger asked.

"I'm fine. Just need to rest up. I am old, after all," Maria replied as Carbuncle returned onto her shoulder and Ruby guided her to a nearby bench.

Looking around, Blake noticed something approaching the metal jaw and land on it. "Guys, we need to get the Zords," she said as a geyser of black smoke and sludge erupted underneath Tock's teeth, causing the monster to be revived with visible damage on her clock parts.

"Let me and Team RNJR handle this," Ruby declared as Carbuncle's eyes flashed.

With the four ready for action, they summoned their respective Zords and formed the White Mage Megazord. As the giant robot formed, Tock scowled as she prepared her swords. "I'm going to have fun ripping that tin can's eyes out," the monster said before attacking. Countering the attack with the Ram Zord's horns, the White Mage Megazord delivered a kick to Tock's side and knocked her back. "Take this," the crocodile cyborg shouted as she unleashed several energy gears at the mecha. The gears struck the Megazord, causing sparks to fly off them and the robot to stumble backward. This gave Tock the chance to attack with her swords again, slashing at the machine before headbutting it in the face.

Getting knocked around, the Rangers tried to think of an idea for how to get the upper hand. "It's at times like this that I wish we had more weaponry Zords," Nora grumbled as she picked herself up.

"No, we don't need any. Let's try using Ruby and Carbuncle's power again," Jaune said, thinking that the Silver Eyes could work best.

"But I need to focus to use them and she's not giving us a chance for me to do that," Ruby stated.

"We just need to find some other angle," Ren suggested.

As Tock was about to attack, flames shot out from her blindside and the Rangers saw that Yang was using her Dragon Zord to help distract Tock. "Ruby! Leave this to us," Yang called out to her sister as Blake, Weiss, Pyrrha, Qrow, Penny, and Sun all used their own individual Zords to distract the monster to give Ruby the time she needed.

Thankful that her friends were able to help her, Ruby began to focus on what needed to remember for using her Silver Eyes so that their attacks against Tock would be more effective. Remembering all her good memories throughout her life and how the Rangers kept fighting on since they first obtained their powers, her helmet's visor flashed silver and the White Mage Megazord was ready to fight again. "Time to end this," Ruby declared.

"Let's stop this Clockodile once and for all," Yang exclaimed before the other Zords backed away from the monster form of Tock.

"Couldn't say it better myself," Ruby agreed before the White Mage Megazord slashed at Tock with the Unicorn Zord's horn blade glowing in silver light. As Tock was left staggering from the slash, the Ram Zord's horns hit her in the side of the head to deal more damage when they glowed with the same energy. After taking a few more hits, Tock was pushed back with a kick and Ruby prepared for the finishing attack against the monster. "Silver Salvation!"

With the light copy of Carbuncle forming in front of the Megazord, it curled into a ball and was kicked toward Tock. As it hit her, it bounced back to the White Mage Megazord before being punched toward the enemy. With Tock hurt once again, the giant robot jumped in the air and spun to build momentum for a final kick that sent the silver ball of light straight through Tock's chest, leaving a large hole and exposing several gears that shattered. "Time's... up... for me," Tock gurgled out before exploding at her defeat.

The Rangers all cheered at their victory while Maria watched as the normal-sized steel jaws of Tock fell in front of her. When they did, the metal teeth aged rapidly, rusting over and shattering within seconds. Smiling at the ghost of her past being defeated yet again, Maria thought that this enemy was dealt with for good. "Ruby's definitely growing stronger," the old woman said as she looked up at the Megazord doing a victory pose.

After the battle with Tock, the Rangers all returned to the Clock Tower Laboratory to talk. "Salem's getting more aggressive with her attacks now. I'd have to say it's because of my return as a Ranger," Ozpin said as he took over Oscar to speak with everyone.

"Given how we needed Maria's help this time, I'm not surprised," Blake remarked as she looked at the old woman.

"I feel like that was the only time I could help with Carbuncle," Maria stated. "After Ruby became the primary user of the Battlizer, that was the final time I could fight in my prime. Magic's strange that way," she said as Carbuncle sat next to her.

"Too bad. It would have been awesome to have you fight with us more," Nora said with a grin.

"I can at least be here to give advice and maybe smack some sense into you," Maria told her with a grin.

As the Rangers nodded in agreement, Ozpin spoke up once more. "We'll need to continue your training and continue to prepare our equipment. There's no telling when Salem's next attack will happen or what it will even be."

Hearing that, Ruby simply gave a determined look as she faced everyone. "We'll just have to keep going no matter what," she said as Carbuncle jumped from Maria and climbed onto the Red Ranger's shoulder.

Qrow, Maria, and Ozpin all smiled at that as they admired Ruby's spirit. "Rest up, kids. We'll need to get training with everything tomorrow after your schoolwork," Qrow told the Rangers.

"Ugh, school. If it isn't monster attacks and supervillains that drain our will to fight, it's lectures," Yang complained.

"I'm afraid that's just how life is," Blake remarked before everyone headed off.

When all the Rangers had left, Ozpin thought about something as he gave Oscar control of his body again. "I hope that Ironwood can stay calm and rational after everything," he said to Oscar.

"Yeah... he did seem upset earlier and he might make a bad choice if he's not reasoned with," Oscar replied.

Okay, I'm FINALLY finished with this chapter after so many distractions from life, other stories, games, and shows. Not to mention a lack of motivation at times. But in any case, I've finally gotten this chapter done for this story to show it isn't dead. With Maria proving why she used to be the Grimm Reaper, Tock stays dead now. However, this also means Maria won't be using Carbuncle to return to her prime and fight again that way.

But with another monster defeated, what will Salem's next attack be? Who's going to be focused on later? We'll find out eventually.

BTW, I'm sure that Power Rangers fans are distraught by recent news about Jason David Frank, the actor who played Tommy Oliver in Power Rangers. The OG Green Dragon Ranger, White Tiger Ranger, Red Zeo Ranger, and Black Dino Thunder Ranger has passed away. As such, I'll at least honor him by posting this chapter now. RIP, man.

Now, I'll also say this about some of my other fics. After I finish my Owl House fanfic, I might be doing one for that show about the characters playing a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. It would be fun to do that for them. Maybe even something for RWBY?

Oh! One last thing. I recently played the new RWBY Arrowfell game and it was fun. Loved the boss battles and animated cutscenes. The whole game was a fun bonus adventure that takes place before the whole Robyn introduction in Volume 7.

Until next time, WaterDragonMaverick signing out.
