You Can't Break a Deadman's Heart.

A/n: This was by my friend, but I helped. So I posted it on here with her permission, I hope you Enjoy.

"Mother, I am unsure if this is quite the best idea." He said as he examined himself in the mirror.

Please reconsider. I beg of you!

"Nonsense, Taro, this is a brilliant idea! If we mingle with the townspeople, they will realize we are not such bad people." His mother said, not paying attention to her son's desperate pleas.

They had moved to this town months ago and were met with less than open arms.

Taro and his family were awkward and didn't fit in with everyone else.

They spent their nights outside cooking exotic dishes which smelled deliciously foreign and their days cooped inside their estate.

Because they didn't get out much, the citizens of the town were quick to run when his family saw it fit to come into town.

"I have a horrible feeling about this, Mother." He said quietly as the servant finished working with his hair.

"RUN!" Taro cried as the townspeople started chasing after them.

"It was a misunderstanding!" He yelled, mortally frightened of these people.

All he had done was speak to his mother in French. He didn't think that they would turn so violently on him.

"Witch!"

"Spawn of Satan!"

"Unholy creatures!"

"We're sorry! We're sorry!" He and his mother cried, tears of fright pouring down their faces.

The thunder started and a strike of lightning sent a branch plummeting to the earth, blocking Taro's and his mother's only trail for escape.

They were cornered.

And they were going to die.

"How do you plea?" A man asked as Taro's mother was being fitted for a noose.

Taro tried to struggle against his captors, but they stuck him to the stake fiercely, tying him up as tightly as they could.

"I didn't do anything wrong!" He choked out, biting his lip to keep from screaming for mercy.

The man turned to the crowd and raised his hands to the accused. "Do you believe these people are innocent of witchcraft?" He asked boredly.

Oh, no, I'm as good as dead!

They all screamed, "NO!"

The man turned to the accused once more. "You two have been convicted of witchcraft-a crime punishable by death." His smirk sent Taro into a fit of tears. "Time for you to meet your Maker." He whispered.

Taro's mother screamed, causing him to jerk his head to see her lifeless body hanging from the gallows.

"Torch him."

"What? No!" He cried as they set the torch upon the hay that surrounded him.

It set aflame instantly, the smoke stinging at his eyes and burning his lungs.

The heat licked his skin, causing him to wince with pain.

He was dead before the fire touched him.

So? How did you like it? Yeah.. Anyways, Love you..
