Disclaimer: I own nothing here. Eragon and Arya belong to Chris, and the song belogns to Avril. Enough said.

Slipped Away

Na na, na na na, na na

I miss you, miss you so bad

I don't forget you, oh it's so sad

I hope you can hear me

I remember it clearly

Arya stood by the mile high grave stone. Etched into the giant rock was:

Eragon Morrowson

Shadeslayer

Friend of the Elves, Dwarves,

Dragons, Humans, and all good itself.

A great rider,

And a man to go down in history.

And around Eragon's name where the thousands upon thousands of names of those who died in the final battle between the Varden and the Empire.

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same

Ooooh

Na na na na na na na

A tear fell from Arya's check as she felt Eragon's name under her fingers. She had long felt feelings for him, but was to distracted by the upcoming war that she paid no more attention to him then she should of have, and because of that she was angry at herself, for never telling him how she truly felt about him.

I didn't get around to kiss you

Goodbye on the hand

I wish that I could see you again

I know that I can't

She cried even more when she remembered how much he felt for her. She would have told him how she felt about him when everything was back to normal. But she waited to long... She thought they could have been together, forever.

Oooooh

I hope you can hear me cause I remember it clearly

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same

Ooooh

Ayra opened her bag and took out a fairth. It had Eragon's face on it. It looked exactly as she saw him, with brilliant eyes and skin that seemed to glow right off of the slate. She sat it in the dirt in front of his grave. She then reached for the magic and cast a spell on it. Anyone that meant any harm to Eragon, or hurt him in any way was never to be able to step foot near his gravestone.

I had my wake up

Won't you wake up

I keep asking why

And I can't take it

It wasn't fake

It happened, you passed by

She stepped back crying even more now. She wondered how she would ever be able to live like this, knowing that the only person she cared for more than anything in the world, was gone. She wiped a tear from her eye as she told herself she had to be strong. But she just didn't know how she could do it.

Now your gone, now your gone

There you go, there you go

Somewhere I can't bring you back

Now your gone, now your gone

There you go, there you go,

Somewhere your not coming back

She glanced over her shoulder, at the falling sun. It would soon be night and the stars would be out. She remembered when Eragon told her how he felt about her back in Ellesméra on Agaetí Blödhren. The stars where out then, and they seemed to glow exceptionally brighter that night. They seemed to be telling her to tell Eragon the truth, the truth of how much she cared about him. But she pushed him away.

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same no..

The day you slipped away

Was the day that I found it won't be the same oh…

She took out her elven made sword and carved "Arya" right above Eragon's name. She reached for the magic once again. She told herself this was the only way, the only way they could be together forever. And with that, she whispered one of the 12 words of death and she collapsed to the ground.

Na na, na na na, na na

I miss you
