Disclaimer: So now part two of the season two finale is under play. I hope Claw's redemption arc is still proving itself to be a satisfactory one. And if it is, then part two should be just as great as part one!

Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.

Friend or Foe arc Episode nineteen: Flare's Determination And Claw's Redemption Part Two

Chase and Marshall were exiting the elevator and entering the area of Charm's base underground that held the generator in it; and to their surprise, there were only four guards waiting for them. The two nodded to each other when the guards took out their weapons, and Chase dodged the knife slash of one of them to grab their knife out of their paw. Marshall then kicked the guard towards another, who dodged just in time and took out his gun. This didn't help however, as Chase slashed at his paw and made him drop the gun before low sweeping him.

Chase knocked the guard out with the butt of the knife, and Marshall kneed one of the other guards in the face before punching them in the gut. When another guard tried to kick him from behind, he ducked as soon as he saw, leading to the guard being kicked into the wall. The guard who kicked him flinched upon seeing that, and Marshall then low swept the guard, leading to Chase rushing over and knocking him out with a foot stomp. The two pups then hi fived as they walked onward to the generator.

On the way there, Chase cracked a joke about how easy it was to defeat the guards. "Must've been the lower ranked scum Charm didn't wanna keep around."

Marshall laughed at the joke before admitting that he was starting to see how irrational he was before. Or, at least more than he did after he realized how much he'd hurt Flare. "I don't know what I was so worried about Chase. As much as I wanna protect Flare, he could've handled those guys easily."

"It's pretty obvious that your desire to protect him is what overshadowed that before." Chase pointed out, and then he made a comparison to Marshall's protectiveness that he felt made sense. "I guess your protectiveness of Flare, is kind of like me with my own issues. I thought they'd be gone after a while, but they're still there." Marshall looked at Chase as he mentioned that, and then he brought up why he made the comparison in the first place. "At least one of us knows what to do about it."

Marshall was well aware of the answer to his problems, and hoped he would be able to show that once they got out. "Yeah. I hear you."

Chase could sense that Marshall was starting to worry about Flare again, and he put a paw on his shoulder to comfort him as they arrived at the generator room door. "We're going to make it out of this Marshall. And Flare will be joining us in today's victory."

Marshall smiled in response to that, having already known that. Something just told him that it was going to happen. "I hear that too." Marshall looked at Chase confidently, showing that he was now more ready than ever to save Adventure Bay. "And the first thing I'm gonna do when we get out of here... is hug him... and tell him I'm sorry."

Chase nodded with respect, seeing that Marshall really had grown since they first met. He then gave a smirk as he opened up to Marshall about something else. "You know I was pulling that song out of my butt, right?"

Marshall laughed in response before admitting that he was aware of that. "Yeah, I kinda figured." Marshall then admitted that despite what Chase just admitted, he confessed something else about how he took the situation. "Although... it sure didn't feel like it." Chase was surprised by that, but still smiled as a result. It showed him once again that despite his internal struggles, he was still a leader at heart. However, there were a couple bright shining eyes that indicated a much bigger trap Charm had planned in the room.

Chase then took out a stethoscope from his spy gear, since the door to open it required a combination to open, and he commented on what Marshall said there. "Let's hope I can keep that up by getting this door open."

Marshall came to a realization on something right as Chase was about to get started. "I don't think you've ever used your spy gear before this."

"Yeah, there was a surprising lack of missions that required me to use it. Hopefully that changes." Chase replied before getting to work on hearing the combination, wanting to make some use out of his spy gear.

Three guards slammed against the wall with Richie running past them with Sweetie and Caiohme towards the exit. Just as he was about to run for it, he saw Flare and Claw enter the elevator, giving them a thumbs up as he did. Flare gave one back, and after he did, Richie went for the front door with Sweetie and Caiohme. Once they left the base, Sweetie was quick to complain about the cold weather. "I really should've worn my winter clothing, as ugly as I look in it."

Caiohme giggled a bit at the lighter example of Sweetie's diva attitude, thanking Richie for the save on both of their behalves. "Thank you Richie. My dad always told me not all demons were bad."

"Then I'm glad I could prove him right." Richie responded proudly, and then he directed Sweetie and Caiohme to where Wave and Magareth were. "We're parked close to the entrance of the base. Wave and Margareth, Flare and Marshall's mom and sister, are there too. Stay safe with them until we stop Charm."

"Of course." Caiohme assured Richie, and as she picked Sweetie up, she had a request for him. "And, if you see Claw again during the mission... please tell him we still love him. And that we forgive him."

Richie wasn't a hundred percent sure he'd be the one to tell them that, but he still felt it'd be worth giving them comfort on. "I'll be helping Skye, Snow, and Everest with the security room, so I can't guarantee I'll run into him before we get out. But if I DO see him, I'll let him know."

"Good enough for us." Sweetie assured Richie in a rare instance of being willing to settle for anything. "Break a leg, as any actor would say." She and Caiohme then headed off to find the place the Paw Patrol parked with Richie heading back in to reach the security room. He hoped Skye, Snow, and Everest would be okay by the time he got there.

Flare and Claw were taking the elevator down to the underground base, and Flare could tell that Claw had a lot on his mind. Since it looked like they had some time, he decided to see if he was okay with talking about it. "You still worried about what's gonna happen next?"

Claw looked at Flare and could tell that he still cared about him. He was almost unable to figure out why. "Yep." Claw sighed, wishing he'd done differently when it came to Charm. "I should've known Charm was going to betray me. There were just so many red flags."

"You said he was threatening you with Sweetie and Caiohme, right?" Flare asked, knowing that Claw was still a good canine.

"Yes, but I still should've done something about it sooner." Claw stated, feeling that he took too long to act on what he thought was the right call. "I took too long to warn Sweetie and Caiohme, which led to Charm being able to capture them. I took until the day the base was finished to tell Everest about my role in this, and it got us captured next, along with Richie." Claw crossed his arms as he opened up more about his inner demons. "Sometimes... I wonder what it would've been like if I ignored Charm. (Starts to tear up) If I didn't betray you all."

Flare stepped over to Claw, smiling to him, much to his surprise. He then hugged the Doberman as he told him what he felt he would love hearing. "Well... I think there's still time to make things right." Claw started crying silently with his eyes open, and after a couple seconds, they arrived at the underground base. Flare let Claw cry for a little longer, and then he saw something that made it clear they had to act fast. It was Sunshine, getting ready to attack Chase and Marshall. "Sunshine!?"

Claw looked to where Flare was looking, and Sunshine, along with the adult dragon, attacked Chase and Marshall just as they noticed. They managed to get the door open right before then, and Claw rushed into action after nodding with Flare, ready to redeem himself once and for all. "Not on OUR watch!"

Rocky, Zuma, and Ryder were currently looking for the Dragon's Tooth in the treasure chamber, but their luck wasn't so good. They couldn't find anything that resembled the tooth in there, and if it was in there, Ryder's scanner sure wasn't picking it up. Rocky felt that while they were looking, it would help to comfort Zuma about the situation. "You were thinking about Flare earlier, weren't you."

Zuma chuckled a bit, seeing clearly that Rocky could read him better than anyone. "Yep." Zuma expressed his remorse for snapping at Flare, wishing he'd at least taken the time to consider his point of view. "I know it was wrong to blow up at him. I just couldn't bawe with the idea that Claw betwayed us; especially for a psychopath like Chawm."

"I get that. Even with the knowledge that he wants to make things right." Rocky responded, and the way he worded that made it clear that Snow was able to fill the others in on the situation after Flare told her to. Rocky started thinking about Flare as well, bringing something up to Zuma that he didn't think he did before. "Did I ever bring up that Flare was the one who convinced me to ask you out?"

Zuma was a little surprised by that, but not by much, since this was Flare they were talking about. "I don't think so."

"It was after I told him about what happened the day I left home." Rocky explained, and then he looked back on that day with a smile, despite the guilt in his eyes. "His idea couldn't have made me more skeptical."

Rocky's flashback began with Flare giving the mix his idea after pulling him out of the hug he was giving him. "Why don't you practice on me?" Rocky was confused by this, and Flare then elaborated on what he meant. "I'll pretend to be Zuma, and you can pretend to be asking me out."

Rocky was admittedly skeptical about this. Would Flare really be a good practice Zuma? "I don't know Flare. You and Zuma aren't much alike."

"Dude, just wait until you see my Zuma." Flare cleared his throat, and then he did his best Zuma impression; speech impediment and all. "Sup Wocky? You look way okay dude." The impression started to make Rocky crack up. "Let's go pwank Snow by fawting on her pillow."

Rocky couldn't help but start laughing at Flare's impression. He also had to admit, it did help him feel better about trying this. "Okay; I'll admit. I expected worse. Let's do this." Rocky then got ready to practice asking Zuma out on Flare. He got a good look at him and tried to picture Zuma instead. Once he had a clear picture in his mind, he breathed in with his nose, and out from his mouth, so he could stay completely calm during this. No time for gay panics. When Rocky opened his eyes, he went straight in for the kill. "Zuma... do you wanna go out with me?"

Flare squeed in response to Rocky's success and hugged him again, this time a little tighter, and surprising Rocky quite a bit. "See? That wasn't so hard!" Flare then looked at Rocky with confidence that he'd be able to pull this off after Zuma's performance. "Just wait until Zuma's show tonight. You'll do great!" Rocky was grateful for Flare's help, and he became even more grateful after the latest method. It really did help him feel better about asking Zuma out.

Rocky couldn't help thinking about what he said to Flare after thinking that. It was impossible to think of at least once with what was going on. "He really did play a big part in helping me finally ask you out." Zuma noticed Rocky's shift in tone as the mix looked at him with remorse in his eyes. "And I repaid him by telling him exactly what Marshall didn't want us telling him."

Zuma was about to go and comfort Rocky, only for Charm to reveal himself on the monitors as he complained about how sentimental it was getting. "Ugh, cut it with this sappy crap already!" Charm kicked Everest back when she tried to grab the Dragon's Tooth from his paw. "You made me so bored that I decided to reveal this just to make tonight less of a bore!"

Rocky, Zuma, and Ryder took notice to the Dragon's Tooth in Charm's paw. Ryder spoke up in regards to that, feeling that it's location was obvious now that it was revealed to him. "Of course he wouldn't leave it in here! Charm's way too smart for that!"

"Yes, he is. And you know what else he is?" Charm asked impatiently as he knocked Snow back, and then he threw Skye away, revealing that he was battling all three of them at once. "ANNOYED AT YOU WASTING MY TIME BY POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS!"

Ryder was quick to assure Charm that he wouldn't be worrying about that for long. "That Dragon's Tooth won't be yours for much longer Charm!"

"We'll see about that Ryder." Charm gave a devious grin, glad that Ryder was finally getting back into the fray. "Don't make me wait too long." Charm ended the screening with Ryder nodding to Rocky and Zuma, who nodded back, leading to the three of them rushing off to Charm's main office. Seeing as Skye, Snow, and Everest were already there battling him, it meant they had to hurry if they wanted to stop him before anyone got severely hurt.

Skye, Snow, and Everest were battling Charm in his office, and while Charm was grabbing Skye's neck, Richie kicked a guard through the door when making his entrance. Charm threw Skye to the side when he saw this, getting excited to finally face someone he considered a challenge. "Finally, a decent challenge." Charm then pressed the speaker button again, knowing he would have to keep Ryder, Rocky, and Zuma busy while he protected the Dragon's Tooth. "Trickery! Stall my brother those idiots with him!"

Charm ducked under Richie's jump kick just in time, mocking him with the Dragon's tooth as Richie spoke up about his announcement. "That won't keep them for long Charm! In case you forgot, Ryder's the only one capable of matching your skills perfectly!"

Charm scoffed, feeling that he'd be more than capable of taking on Ryder when he arrived. "As if I need to fear that spiky haired loser!" Charm threw the Dragon's Tooth into the air, leading to a teenage dragon grabbing hold of it with Charm praising his efforts. "Well done Teen Dragon M! You're not completely useless."

The dragon was extra careful with the Dragon's Tooth with Richie knowing full well that Charm was the bigger threat. "Girls! Take care of the dragon!"

Richie blocked Charm's kick and got sent back, and after he back flipped to recover, the dragon went for Snow. The Husky used the taser she got from the guard to stun the dragon, leaving her with enough time for Skye and Everest to look around for something else to use. Everest spotted some kind of ray gun and called over to Skye with a plan. "Skye! Get your wings ready!" Skye saw what Everest was planning as she noticed her aiming the ray gun at the dragon. She nodded in response with Snow's taser shorting out after the dragon grabbed it.

The dragon threw the taser aside, leaving Snow to look around and see a glycerin pipe behind her. She dodged the dragon's swipe with a backward roll and broke the glass with her elbow, leading to her grabbing the pipe and using it on the dragon. Everest shot the dragon right before he could grab the pipe, causing him to be a little too late and get frozen in the ice. Skye swooped in with her wings just in time and grabbed the Dragon's Tooth just before it froze with the dragon.

Snow and Everest cheered at their quick victory, leaving Everest to cheer as Skye made her way for the window. "Go Skye!" Skye flew through the nearest window, knowing that the Dragon's Tooth would give them some kind of advantage against Charm. Charm growled in response to this, grabbing Richie's sword slash as he faced him with a vicious grin. This made it clear that he was about to use all of his power to get the Dragon's Tooth back. And Richie braced himself for whatever that may be.

Down in the generator room, Flare was trying to get through to Sunshine with Marshall while Chase and Claw took on the adult dragon. Flare was clearly scared for his friend, and as he tried to get through to him, Marshall stepped in between them in his attempt. "Sunshine, please! It's me, Flare! Don't you recognize me!?" Sunshine was unfazed however. The power of the Dragon's Tooth was too strong. "I know the Dragon's Tooth is strong, but you can't let it control you! You have to be strong! Like you were when Charm and Trickery attacked Dragon's Hamlet!"

Something sparked in Sunshine in that moment, which led to Marshall being able to restrain him as he spoke up. "So-rry." Sunshine's apology made Flare smile, as it meant that he could still save him. As Marshall tied Sunshine up after he went back to being controlled completely, Chase and Claw were still taking care of the adult dragon. It wasn't easy, and she was about to breath a heavy dose of fire at them after smashing them against the wall with her tail. Chase got an idea and nodded to Claw, who wasn't sure what he was about to do.

Chase got up, turned around, and shook his butt a bit after pointing it out at the dragon while taunting her. "Go ahead scaly! See if you can make it even hotter!" The dragon breathed her flames at Chase right after the taunt. The scene went in slow motion after that, and Chase held a confident grin as he prepared himself for what was about to come. He clenched hard with his face scrunching a bit. Then, his butt was shown right as the fire was about to hit. Instead of it hitting him however, the fire was instead pushed back by what started in slow motion, and then went in normal speed as...

PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT

...a massive and loud ten second fart, making Chase's butt vibrate violently along with making the ground shake a little as he not only burned the dragon so much that she was all black and smelled like rotten eggs thanks to the yellow cloud. She found herself frozen in place, and as Chase proudly wafted the fart away with his right paw, Claw snickered before asking why it slipped his mind. "As if I expected anything else."

As Marshall was tying Sunshine up, Flare started to feel bad for what he said to Marshall again. He wanted to make it right, so he asked him point blank what he wanted from him. "I wanna talk after we stop Charm."

"Okay." Marshall responded, already being on board with this plan, as he wanted to talk to Flare as well. Flare then looked at his tied up dragon friend, ready to make sure he got out of this too.

Chase then looked to Claw, who started to get worried about what he was going to do as he walked over to him with a stoic look. Claw wasn't sure what to think, especially when he stood up to speak to him directly. Since there were no enemies around, he felt it would be a good time to at least let Chase know that he wasn't working with Charm anymore. "Chase, I... I know I broke your trust by working with Charm. I understand if you want me out of your life after this." Chase took another step closer to Claw as he kept talking. "The fact that I ever trusted that-"

Chase then hugged Claw, much to his surprise as the German Shepherd then showed a look of empathy and compassion. "I... I forgive you." Claw was stunned to hear this, especially with how fast it came from Chase. "I know it's fast, and I know we have to save Adventure Bay, but I just want you to know. I forgive you."

Chase pulled Claw away, and as Chase started observing the generator, Claw questioned why this was the case. "But why?"

"I know how it feels to be lonely Claw." Chase explained, empathizing with Claw's fear of abandonment. "The feeling that no one wants you." Chase saw that the device had only drained fifteen percent of Adventure Bay's life so far, proving that it was in fact, very slow. Charm clearly wanted the suffering to be slow and painful. "The feeling that you'll be all on your own, with no one to turn to." Chase then turned to Claw, and the look on his face showed all too well that he meant what he was saying. "The feeling that you're worthless. No one deserves that."

Claw was starting to get emotional again, and Marshall wiped one of his tears when he and Flare walked over to him. This proved that Marshall forgave him as well, knowing that he wasn't doing this out of bad deeds, thanks to the info Snow gave them over her collar. Flare's smile was more dead proof that he was still surrounded by kindness. Now, more ready than ever to stop Charm, he wiped his eyes, and gained a tenacious look that made it clear he was on the side of good now. "Come on guys! Let's save Adventure Bay!"

Ryder was currently battling Trickery, kicking him into a wall as Rocky and Zuma made their way for his base upon his command. After Ryder kicked Trickery towards the wall with the Kishu then dodging his next punch, Rocky and Zuma arrived at Charm's office with Charm kicking Richie through the door and into the wall. As Rocky ran over to his former owner "Richie!", Charm did the same with Snow and Everest, who Richie caught just in time.

Charm ran out of the office door and saw Rocky and Zuma ready to stop him, leaving him ready to take them down. "More pawns, eh? Fine with me!" Rocky and Zuma charged at Charm after Richie distracted him with a bullet, leading to Zuma almost landing a strong right hook on Charm. Charm dodged just in time however, and as he grabbed Rocky's fist, he grinned as he taunted the Chocolate Lab. "So close."

Charm kicked Zuma to the side and gave a fierce knee to Rocky. With both of them on the ground, Snow spoke up in regards to the Dragon's Tooth. "Those dragons won't be listening to you for long without the Dragon's Tooth Charm! We should be finding a counter spell soon enough!"

"You have fun with that." Charm responded as he grabbed Snow, leaving Everest to lunge at him before he threw her over to Rocky and Zuma. He then slammed Snow onto the ground and stomped on her arm, causing her to cry out in pain as Richie attempted to shoot her again with Everest crying out to her sister. The bullet only grazed Charm's ear however, since one of his eyes was in view, so he ducked just in time. Charm then stopped crushing Snow's arm after about ten seconds. "Bored."

He then kicked her into the wall, causing her to collide with it and break one of her ribs before Everest charged at her. "I'M GONNA RIP YOUR HEART OUT!"

"Then do it ditch!" Charm taunted before knocking Everest out with a swift karate chop. He then rushed off with Ryder noticing just as he sent Richie to the ground with a strong roundhouse kick. Charm jumped up to the wall and did a front flip over him before rushing off and giving a vague, but graphic explanation of what he planned to do. "Can't stay any longer! I have a tooth to rip out!"

Snow was checking on Everest with Rocky and Zuma before Richie picked her up, leading to Ryder making his next command. "We gotta stop him! Richie, keep Everest safe! Rocky, Zuma, make sure Snow doesn't get any more hurt either!" Everyone set out to stop Charm, hoping that they would be able to do so at this point in time.

Skye was currently guarding the Dragon's Tooth while sitting on Chase's car, which was guarding Wave, Margareth, Sweetie, and Caiohme with a shield that covered it. Skye was currently getting info out of Caiohme, knowing she would be helpful in reversing the Dragon's Tooth's effect. "So there's really nothing you know of that can reverse it?"

"No. Sorry Skye." Caiohme answered, wishing she knew of a solution other than the one she had. "We can try breaking the tooth, but I don't know how tough it is. It could take days, if not longer, to find out what can break it."

As Skye and Caiohme were talking, Sweetie took her phone out in an attempt to lighten up the mood. "Even if it's quick, I think we could use a break." Sweetie hopped to the front of the car and held her phone out with Wave and Margareth reluctantly posing with happy expressions. "Selfie!"

Sweetie did a peace sign and cheery grin with Caiohme getting frustrated by her not taking this seriously. "Now, is not, the time, for selfies."

"There's never a bad time for selfies." Sweetie spoke back, getting ready to post her selfie as she backed up her claim. "Think of it as a tension breaker."

Before Caiohme could retort, Charm burst out of the entrance and called out to all of his guards. "Get off your lazy butts and kill the Paw Patrol members you can! Enslave the ones who're too strong for you to wipe out!"

Skye knew she had to at least try to stop Charm, briefly making ahole in the shield and dropping the Dragon's Tooth in with Caiohme grabbing it. Once it vanished, she spoke up to the other girls. "Don't worry Caiohme! I got this!" Skye took out her wings and dashed at Charm, who scoffed and gave a sly grin in response to her act of courage.

Nearby, Ryder and the others were being ganged up on by a bunch of guards appearing out of nowhere and from visible locations for the whole team to see. Richie ran into a nearby room with Everest, knowing that she would be in grave danger in the battle. As he rushed her to safety after jumping out of the window, he noticed Charm choking Skye again, and this time he grabbed her wings and slammed them onto the ground. "Skye!" Skye's wings were broken with Everest waking up just in time to see what was going on.

Everest saw Skye hurt and Richie holding her, and Richie set her down as Charm had his sights set on them. "Richie, what's going on!? Did we win yet!?"

"Not yet!" Richie informed Everest, and then she pointed over to Skye. "Keep Skye safe! I'll hold Charm off!"

When Richie and Everest looked over to where Skye was, Charm stomped on her hind leg and broke it. She cried out in pain when this happened, "AHHHHHH!" leaving Charm to then make her roll in the snow by kicking her.

Richie dashed in as fast as he could and aimed a sword slash at Charm, who dodged it in the nick of time. He grabbed his sword as Everest rushed over to the injured Skye in an attempt to keep her safe. Richie made it clear how disgusted he was by Charm's actions. "Your ways just turn my stomach Charm!" Richie grabbed Charm's foot and slammed him into the ground, revealing that he was going all out this time. "Trying to destroy by town... kill my friends..." Richie lashed out at Charm with immense anger. "You'll pay for all of that and more!"

Charm started going all out as well, kicking Richie off of him, and Richie used his sword to regain his balance before charging at Charm again. "I'm flattered. But you must be insane if you think I'm going leave that Dragon's Tooth behind. Especially from the command of one of my father's play things." Richie's anger went even further from that, and he landed a swift, but powerful punch on Charm that sent him back. After Charm regained his balance, he saw that Richie had his black demon hair out. This made it clear that Richie wouldn't hold back. Little did Richie know however, that the last three dragons were on the roof. Only now, since Caiohme had the tooth, they were under her command.

Back in the generator room, Flare and the others were trying to find out how to shut down the generator with Chase trying and failing to hack the computer that was nearby. Flare, Marshall, and Claw were doing their best to get this shaft in the generator open, but they weren't having any luck, since there was nothing to unscrew or take off to open it more easily. After trying what felt like the hundredth code, Chase finally managed to reverse the powers of the generator. "Finally! Guys, I managed to shut it down!"

"Alright! Go Chase!" Claw announced, and then he flinched and looked to Flare and Marshall to see if it was appropriate timing. "Did I misread the room there?" Flare and Marshall nodded their heads no, letting Claw know that they didn't mind him celebrating causing Charm setbacks. "Okay, just checking."

Chase then decided to help the other three open that shaft to the generator.. "Maybe four pups will be better than three. Give me a spot to pull." The other three happily obliged with Chase grabbing onto the top right corner of the shaft. Flare held the bottom left one, Claw on the bottom right, and Marshall on the top left. Chase then gave the countdown. "Okay. One... two... three!" The four canines then pulled as hard as they could, hoping that all of their strength would be enough to open the grate. It put a lot of strain on them, but they weren't ever gonna give up.

With the grunts and strains from the four pups, Chase put one of his hind legs on the generator to increase their chances of pulling. Flare did the same with both of his feet, as did Claw, with Marshall copying Chase's move. With just a few more seconds of all of their strength, they were able to get the shaft gate off of the generator. After seeing this, Flare couldn't help pumping his fist with joy over the successful attempt. "We did it!"

Flare and the other pups then looked into the shaft. They were amazed by how much power it held, and how insane it looked. There was a lot of fire in there for sure, and it all seemed to be coming from the power the generator was holding. Right down the center, Flare saw what looked like the core to the generator. "That could be the core to this thing!"

The other three saw what Flare was pointing to, leaving Marshall to wonder how they were going to reach it. "It definitely stands out amongst the crowd. Too bad we don't have any surefire ways of getting to it without killing ourselves."

"We could try shooting it." Claw suggested, alerting the other three with Claw then elaborating on his plan. "Now I know it's a huge risk, and the impact of the generator could stop all of us from making it. But it's our best bet with stopping Charm." Claw knew he hard to make a hard call with this, and he looked to Chase as he gulped. He was about to make the hardest decision of his life, which he knew could result in his death. "Chase... give me your gun."

Chase was shocked when he heard that, and so were Flare and Marshall. There was no way any of them were ready to sacrifice Claw. "No way! We're not sacrificing you!" Claw stood up and held his paw out, showing that he was serious. Chase wasn't about to leave a pup behind however, and continued to refuse. "You're not expendable! No one is!"

"Then let me prove it!" Claw snapped back, confusing Chase as Claw then opened up about how he felt. Flare, Marshall, and Chase listened closely as he did this. "Back in Barkingburg... I did what I did for the praise. I loved helping people, obviously. But seeing them value my existence was my main motivation."

Chase wasn't too surprised by Claw's motivation, despite still not wanting him to do what he wanted to do. "Ah."

Claw spoke up more, and his gut was starting to get punched from the inside as he spoke up about how much he appreciated the Paw Patrol. "You guys were... the best thing that ever happened to me, since I lost my knight status. And the fact that I almost ruined that with Charm... the way I ruined everything else in my life... made me want to do better. Even if it's my final action." Claw held back his tears as he got ready for what could be his final goodbye. "And if the slim chance we have to make it out doesn't happen... I should be the one to go."

Chase looked at his gun after taking it out, and then he looked at Charm with Flare and Marshall standing on the side of him away from the generator. Flare was heartbroken over seeing the risk of his friend going, and Marshall comforted him with a shoulder rub as Chase looked at Claw. He wanted to be absolutely sure that there was at least a slim chance they could all make it out alive. "If I give you this gun... are you sure there's at least a chance we'll all still make it out? With you."

"Yes. Charm mentioned something about his generator taking some time to explode completely after being short circuited." Claw explained, glad that he at least got one piece of info off of Charm about his base before stopping his time with him. "If I remember correctly from the blueprints he showed me too... it should still let the elevator work until it does. But there will be an explosion that sends us back after I shoot it. Must be an after effect."

Before Chase handed Claw the gun, he hugged him along with Flare and Marshall. As they did, Flare gave him an optimistic smile, shedding a tear as he prepared for both outcomes in his mind. "We're all making it out of here Claw." Claw looked to Flare, seeing that he was being honest about how he felt. "I can feel it."

Claw smiled while shedding a tear of joy himself, and Claw then accepted Chase's gun as Chase called Ryder. "Ryder sir... we're gonna blow up the generator now."

"What!? But you're still down there!" Ryder called back, leaving Chase to look at Claw in response.

"I know. Claw said there's a slim chance we'll all get out of here." Chase was sounding more melancholic than usual, showing that he didn't know how things would go down here.

"That's still to high a risk!" Ryder argued, not ready to lose any pups. "At least wait until Richie can save you!"

As Chase and Ryder spoke up about what happened, Claw spoke to Flare, who stood back with Marshall as Claw aimed his gun. "Flare?" Flare listened closely as Claw said what he wanted to say while crying as he looked at him. "Thank you. All of you." Flare held in his tears again as he nodded with a smile to Claw, who looked at the middle of the generator and got ready to fire. His tears were shown rolling down his cheeks as he said his final words. "For everything." Claw fired the bullet and caused the first explosion he brought up to send the others back, along with the tied up Sunshine.

Flare and the others were blown towards the wall from the blast, leading to Ryder calling to him in fear as the screen cut to black as the cry of fear echoed. "NO!"

The title of the next chapter was shown with Flare, Marshall, and Claw speaking in sync with melancholic music playing. "Next time, Flare's Determination and Claw's Redemption Part Three."
