A/N: BTW, in case anyone's forgotten the cast for Godspeed/August Heart is Oscar Isaac. Also, my updates might start slowing down as I have to focus a little more on my ever so slipping grades and studies. But I will continue to post.
Response to Guest Reviews:
Chloe: Thanks. This Logan is just an Earth 1 variant. The X-Men characters don't exist there and none of the X-Men movies are canon to that specific Earth. I might include the X-Men in a later story but for now, I won't.
"Okay…" Clark said as he, Kara, and Barry, who was holding a sleeping Luke in his arms, stood in front of all the heroes, who were relatively spread out through the main hangar area, the trio stood near the end of the line of heroes and would work their way up. "Let's try and get this right…" Clark then turned to Barry. "Barry?"
"The Flash." Barry replied.
"Bruce Wayne?" Kara asked, pointing to Bruce.
"Batman." Bruce answered.
"Dick Grayson?" Clark asked.
"Nightwing," Dick replied with a smile.
"Jason?" Kara continued.
"Arkham Knight." Jason replied, his arms crossed, his straight-wavyish, black hair pulled back.
"Logan?" Clark inquired as he pointed to Logan.
"Wolverine." Logan said, his hands in his pockets as Clark nodded.
"Felicia?" Kara asked as she and Clark stared at Felicia, surprised at her youth.
"Black Cat." Felicia said
"Peter Parker?" Clark asked as Peter cleared his throat.
"Uh, yeah - sir - present," Peter said as he raised, stuttering.
Felicia chuckled as she lightly elbowed Peter at the side of his stomach. "He means your name, cutie. Your hero name."
"Oh we're using our made-up names," Peter realized as he awkwardly stared at Clark, who simply smiled. Peter then awkwardly held his hand out to Clark. "I'm Spider-Man."
"Superman," Clark replied as he shook Peter's hand, holding back his strength as much as he could. "But you can call me Clark. Just not out in the field."
"Right, uh, sorry," Peter said awkwardly. "This is kinda my first time doing this and uh, there's a lot of people here."
"Rookie." Rene joked but a look from a glaring Oliver forced him to silence himself.
"Don't be worried, Peter," Clark said assuringly. "Everyone here has been through that feeling you're having and everyone here is having it. Maybe not as much as you do but still. All you need to do is just give it your best, that's all we're asking for."
Peter nodded as Clark, Kara, and Barry went over to meet with the rest of the heroes. He looked down at the ground, swallowing a gulp down his throat. Nervousness overtook him as the mental image of aliens beating him down passed through his mind. The noises around him began to fade as he lost sight and concentration of the world around him. Then, he suddenly snapped back to reality as he felt a hand tap on his shoulder. Peter turned his head as he saw Felicia looking at him. For a few moments, the two stared at one another. Peter noticed Felicia's black leather jacket, her plain black t-shirt, black jeans, and black running-like shoes. Her long, natural white hair was tied into a ponytail, two small strands of her lightly stood out on her face. Felicia stared at Peter's pure brown hair, his deep, solid brown eyes.
"What's your name?" Felicia whispered.
"You don't know my name?" Peter asked.
"No, I know your name," Felicia said with a smile. "I'm just making sure you know your name."
"Peter…" Peter whispered. "Peter Parker."
Felicia held out her hand. "Nice to meet you, Peter Parker."
A smile appeared on Peter's face as he shook Felicia's hand. "Nice to meet you too, Felicia Hardy."
"I didn't know you knew my name," Felicia said with a half-smirk.
"I was actually trying to make sure you knew your name." Peter fired back.
Felicia and Peter smiled at one another as the two stood relatively close to one another. They both looked forward, avoiding eye contact with each other, both of them wearing proud smiles on their faces.
Meanwhile, Barry, Kara, and Clark were making their way through everyone gathered in the facility.
"Okay, that's Oliver and all of Team Arrow," Kara said as she pointed to Sara. "Sara?"
"White Canary." Sara replied.
"Jax and Stein?" Clark asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
"Firestorm." The pair said simultaneously.
"Mick?" Clark asked.
"Heatwave."
"Ray?" Kara called.
"The A.T.O.M." Ray replied.
"Nate and Amaya are watching the Waverider," Sara explained as she extended her hands out. "The newbies."
"Alright," Kara said. "That's them."
"Jesse?" Clark called.
"Jesse Quick." Jesse replied.
"Cisco?" Kara asked.
"Vibe." Cisco replied.
"Daisy Johnson?" Clark asked.
"Quake," Daisy replied.
"The best one," Barry said with a smile as Daisy chuckled, the two stood close as the both of them looked down at Luke, who was peacefully sleeping in Barry's arms.
"Congratulations by the way," Clark said. "His name's Luke, right?"
"Yeah," Daisy replied. "It means-"
"Light-giving," Barry stated. "You guys get everyone else, I'm gonna be here."
Barry and Daisy made their way out of the main area as they stood behind one of the S.T.A.R. Labs vans that were parked inside the area. Oliver and Bruce exchanged glances as the both of them walked over to the van. After a few minutes, Kara and Clark had finally made their way through everyone else: Strange, Matt, Hal, Diana, Arthur, the Avengers (aside from Thor and Banner, who were unavailable and off-world ), and the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. who had shown up. Bruce and Oliver eventually met up with Barry and Daisy by the van. Daisy was carrying Luke, lightly speaking about how she had already missed him. Barry couldn't help but smile, noticing Daisy's overprotective, motherly nature kicking in.
"Barry," Bruce said as Barry and Daisy faced him and Oliver. "A word?"
Barry whispered an "I'll be right back" to Daisy as he kissed her forehead. He quickly walked a few feet over to Bruce and Oliver as the trio were in hearing range.
"Hey, guys, what's up?" Barry asked.
"We just wanted to say congratulations," Bruce said.
"We're both happy for you," Oliver added.
"That's… that's wonderful to hear," Barry replied, taken back by his two friends' words. "Thank you, guys."
"If I'm honest, I never really saw you as being a parent," Bruce said dryly.
"Yeah, well, I never really saw Bruce Wayne, playboy billionaire as the Batman," Barry shot back. "But here we are."
Bruce gave a light smile as he patted Barry's shoulder. "I should go. Need to get Dick and Jason acquainted with Logan. I have some…catching up to do with him."
With that, Bruce walked off as Oliver and Barry found themselves to be alone by the van.
"Congratulations Barry," Oliver said. "I know you're gonna be a great dad. You're a good friend and a good person and that is something you always have been."
"Thank you, Ollie," Barry replied, lightly blushing. "I'm honestly flattered."
Oliver laughed humorlessly. "Yeah, well…I've kinda been practicing a part of that speech."
"You had a month of practice, so that makes sense," Barry quipped.
"Hmm." Oliver said simply.
"You know you were right," Barry said as Oliver stared at him in confusion for a short moment. "About what you said to Felicity and Diggle. I haven't seen that version of you in a long time. You taking control of your team for once."
"Well," Oliver said. "I had a friend - a brother, not Diggle, who helped me see things clearly. And he is a good man. After I lost Tommy, I lost a brother, but this person. He was the person the universe gave to me as my little brother. As my best friend and family."
"Yeah," Barry said, nodding his head. "Bruce is a great guy. You two seem close."
"Barry…" Oliver said slowly. "I'm not talking about Bruce."
Barry's eyes grew large with shock as he stared at Oliver, his mouth open as nothing but silence came from him. Oliver said that the universe had given him another brother after he lost Tommy. It wasn't Diggle, nor was it Bruce. So did that mean? It was him. Barry was the little brother Oliver had always wanted and seen him as? Deep down, Barry knew he felt the same. Oliver always felt like the older brother Barry never had, the friend he had. Before Cisco, before Caitlin, before Team Flash, Oliver was his friend.
"You are my little brother, Barry," Oliver said as emotion began to fill up inside Barry. "My upbeat, annoying, fast, little brother. And I promise, if something ever - ever - happens to you and Daisy, I will look after Luke."
"Be his godfather," Barry said immediately.
Oliver reeled backwards as he stopped in his tracks. "What?"
"Daisy and I talked it through," Barry said. "Simmons, Fitz, Caitlin, and Cisco are Luke's godfathers. But I want you to be his too. And if you meant half of what you just said to me, then trust me. Be Luke's godfather. For me."
Oliver nodded. "Okay."
"Thank you, Ollie. And not just for this, for everything. For believing in me, for helping me be a better hero. For everything you've done for me."
Oliver stepped closer to Barry as he put a hand on his shoulder. "Barry, you are strong, brave, and smart. You are and have always been one of the best people I've ever known. You're not just the kind of hero who saves people, you inspire them. You give them hope, you give them a chance to be the best versions of themselves. And you…have always inspired me to let go of my inner darkness, to be the best version of myself whenever I can be."
Barry looked down as he nodded his head before looking back up at Oliver. "Y'know, I think we both needed that."
Oliver nodded as he patted Barry's shoulder. "We should fill in the team and everyone else on what's going on. Lyla's here."
"Right. Also, d'you get that email Cisco sent about…well, you know…"
Oliver blinked in confusion. "What email?"
"About Laurel," Barry said as he and Oliver eyed each other in confusion. "The other Laurel. Earth 2's Laurel. Black Siren."
"Barry, what're you talking about?" Oliver asked, the words coming out slowly.
"Look, a few months ago, Zoom brought an army of metahumans to attack Central City. One of those people was Earth 2's Laurel Lance or as she calls herself Black Siren. We got rid of the pipeline a few weeks ago and sent all the metas to a secure A.R.G.U.S. location, Laurel was sent there too. I had Cisco send an email about it a few weeks after Flashpoint but we never got a response."
"We never got an email…" Oliver said in a slow tone when suddenly an idea came to him. "But Felicity might have. She keeps tabs on all the technological functions of the bunker."
"You don't think she…kept it quiet, do you?" Barry asked.
"I'd honestly be open to the thought of it," Oliver said as Barry sighed.
"Look, I'm sorry, man," Barry tried to say. "I should've told you earlier."
"You lost your father, Barry," Oliver argued. "That should've been the only thing on your mind. Not Laurel. You had Cisco send the email and you're telling me now, that's more than enough."
"Alright, you go," Barry said. "I'll be with you in a minute."
Oliver slowly left as Barry turned around, seeing Daisy walking up to him, Luke asleep in her arms.
"I'm assuming you heard most of that." Barry said.
Daisy smiled. "What I heard was two brothers showing each other how much they care about each other."
Barry nodded his head as his face masked itself into seriousness. "Look, Daisy, about Tony-"
"Barry-" Daisy tried to say.
"He shouldn't be here," Barry argued. "Not after everything he's done. He forced you to go rogue when you were pregnant. He forced Clint's family and the team under Ross' radar. I don't trust him and almost no one else here does."
"I don't need you to trust him," Daisy assured, shaking her head. "I just need to trust me. You trust me, right?"
"Always," Barry said without hesitation.
"Then trust me," Daisy said. "We don't have to forgive Tony for whatever he's done. But we have to try and move past it. Work together when we have to."
"Yeah," Barry whispered as he gently stroked a strand of Daisy's short brown hair. "I think I can do that."
"C'mon," Daisy said as she jerked her head towards the army/group of heroes awaiting Barry's arrival.
"So these things call themselves the Dominators?" Tony asked, confirming what had just been said.
The heroes were all next to one another, somewhat spread out. Barry, Bruce, Steve, and Oliver were up front facing opposite to the heroes as they stood by the desk, which held a series of multiple computer screens. Screens that showcased old 50s footage of the Dominators. Bruce, Barry, Steve, and Oliver were up front having been the leaders of the team of heroes. Hal, Diana, and Arthur, having had knowledge of the Dominators also remained up front. Lyla was in front as well, having been the one to do most of the explaining on the Dominators' history with humans.
"That would be right," Lyla replied.
"And these things have visited this earth before?" Matt inquired.
"They have," Hal confirmed as he paced around the area. "The Dominators, as far as the Lantern Council knows, have visited Earth three times. The 50s and two times around two-three thousand years ago."
"Multiple myths of the Amazons suggest they've visited it more," Diana said.
"Some of the ancient stories of Atlantis suggest they're strong," Arthur added. "Very strong. They have an enhanced human physiology. Enhanced strength, speed, physical attributes. Their brain capacity is ten times larger than that of the average human."
"So they're faster, stronger, and smarter." Strange deduced.
"Basically," Hal confirmed. "And that's low-balling it. Each Dominator has a technological gauntlet. It can disintegrate anything less than the size of a car."
"So if it were to hit someone…" Stein said.
"You'd be vaporized instantly," Felicia said weakly, her and Peter shuddering at the thought of being disintegrated.
"You sure it's a good idea to put all of us against an army of alien superhuman soldiers when half of us are human?" Rene asked.
"We'll worry about strategy and battle plans later," Barry said.
"Right now," Bruce began. "Our goal is assessing the dominators."
"That means looking for key figures," Steve continued.
"Weaknesses," Oliver carried on. "Any indications of what their plan might be, how to neutralize their tech."
"Well, we know their plan," Hal said as he pulled out his ring.
Hal slipped his Green Lantern ring onto his finger as he clenched his fist before holding his arm out in the air. Instantly, green light appeared from the ring as a low-model-scale of the earth was shown in mid-air. Everyone stared in awe as Matt furrowed his eyebrows, hearing the energy pulsating from Hal's ring. In the model, four model-ships were shown to be towering over earth.
"The Dominators have four ships," Hal stated.
"Three sub ships," Arthur continued. "They're about as big as New York City or Paris. And then there's the real deal, the mothership."
"It's the size of Earth's moon, controlled by the leader of the Dominators," Diana said ominously. "Brainiac. An advanced, powerful, twelfth-level intellect. He calls himself the Collector of Worlds."
"Why's that?" Clark asked.
"Because it's what he does," Hal said as the ring showcased a simulation of the moon-sized ship absorbing the planet, which disappeared into a hologram-like light that the ship absorbed. "Brainiac's ship has the power to absorb the knowledge, intelligence, and the properties of entire cities, maybe even continents. Hell, he could probably do a whole moon or planet if he wanted."
"So that's what he plans to do?" Matt asked. "If that's true, why hasn't he done it already?"
"We don't know," Arthur said. "Usually, it'd be because he wants something. Or maybe someone."
Barry lightly shuddered as Daisy noticed his hesitant look. Worry swarmed through both of them as Daisy came to a realization. Brainiac and the Dominators wanted Barry, he was the reason they hadn't attacked yet. It was because they wanted him. Barry glanced at Daisy as he saw her worried face, her arms crossed. She knew. He knew. They both did. Only the rest of the group didn't. Barry looked down before facing away from Daisy, who took in a deep breath. Matt furrowed his eyebrows as he sensed both their heartbeats strangely accelerating, especially Barry's (that too even for a speedster).
"These things could attack at any time," Lyla warned.
"Which means we need to be ready," Oliver stated. "Take a few partners, not too many. Split into groups and we'll train."
"And for all our big guns," Bruce said as he glanced at Barry, Kara, and Clark. "Take the outside fields and roads. We don't want you causing any damage to our base just now."
"A.R.G.U.S. and I will update on any changes in the situation," Lyla stated as she eventually made her way out of the base, kissing John a quick and reminding the latter to be careful.
"Alright," Barry said. "Let's get started."
At night, outside the large S.T.A.R. Labs facility, Barry, Kara, Clark, Hal, Diana, and Arthur, all of them dressed in their suits, were training together. Arthur and Diana sparred, the former attacking with his trident and the latter defending and countering with her sword and shield. Clark and Hal were sparring with each other, the both of them flying with great speeds as they fought on par with one another. Clark, while holding back his full power, unleashed a pair of red lasers, his lightspeed heat vision heading towards Hal. Hal managed to react as he countered with a green energy shield, coming from his ring, just in time as the heat vision struck the shield. The two continued their fight. Barry and Kara on the other hand were fighting each other. Kara, despite being physically stronger than Barry, was incapable of landing any hits on him. Barry was moving far too fast for her. Kara was only as fast as Barry was before he had left Earth 1, back when he was only Mach 10. Now, he was as fast as the speed of light, faster even. Even Clark and Kara, with their enhanced reaction time, only perceived Barry to be in multiple places at once. It was how fast he was moving. Eventually, Arthur was sent flying after a strike from Diana, Hal was knocked down from a punch by a holding back Clark. Barry generated power and speedforce energy inside himself as he threw a powerful punch to Kara, who as a result, was sent flying as she landed several feet, crashing onto the road beside Arthur and Hal. Clark levitated to the ground as he stood beside Diana, Barry slowed himself down as he stood next to the pair.
"How much faster did you get?" Kara asked as she got onto her feet, exhausted, her hands leaning on her knees.
"A lot actually." Barry replied.
"You okay?" Clark asked, offering a hand to Hal.
Hal chuckled. "Trust me, I've taken a lot worse."
Hal grabbed Clark's hand with a clap as he gripped it tightly, Clark pulled him to his feet with little to no feet. Arthur took a hand from Diana as he rose to his feet.
"I couldn't even see you when you were running," Kara asked.
"Neither could I," Clark admitted.
"Running is kinda like my only thing," Barry said.
"It used to be," Stephen Strange said as the cloak of levitation slowly brought him to the ground from the air. "Now you can do multiple things with your speed, you know magic, you know how to fight, don't even get me started on your Metamiracle deal."
"Strange," Barry greeted, a light smile on his face as the pair shook hands. "Good to see you again."
"You too, old friend," Strange said before the two dropped their hands.
"Wait, wait, wait," Arthur interrupted as he looked back and forth between Barry and Strange. "You two are wizards?"
"Sorcerers," Strange corrected.
"Strange is more of a sorcerer than I am," Barry explained. "I trained under his teachers with him. Mystic arts, hand-to-hand fighting, dueling."
"Hmm," Strange said, raising his eyebrow. "That one was your specialty."
"Dueling?" Diana asked, amused as she eyed Barry. "You can duel?"
"Bruce taught me first," Barry explained. "Then I learned from the Ancient One, beat her most experienced and skilled masters and I even dueled her once."
"D'you win?" Hal asked, him and the rest of the group appearing interested in Barry and Strange's story.
"He keeps that part to himself," Strange said.
"Can't say I'm a fan of magic," Clark admitted. "But that's impressive."
"Well," Strange said. "I'd love to stay and chat about old stories but I'm afraid this isn't social time. We've had a development with the Dominators. You might wanna come inside."
"You're pretty good at these," Oliver said as he and Matt traded blows with their Escrima sticks, both of them were dressed in their suits, save for their masks.
"You're not so bad, yourself," Matt replied as he swung one of his Escrima sticks at Oliver, who countered with his right-handed stick.
For a moment, the two paused, both of them pushing against one another's sticks. With his left-handed stick, Oliver swung at Matt's feet. Matt, however, reacted with his enhanced senses as he pulled his sticks close to his body and jumped in the air. Matt flipped in the air as he landed back on his feet before he and Oliver continued sparring. In another area, Daisy, Bobbi, May, Mack, Coulson, and Hunter were sparring with each other. All of them broke into pairs for the sparring. In another area, Steve, Clint, Natasha, and Bucky were training Wanda, training her to be more alert and skilled with her powers. In another area, Bruce, Dick, and Jason were sparring with each other, their armored suits on them. Dick and Jason, in a hand to hand fight, sparred Bruce in a 2v1, the latter managing to beat both the formers with relative ease despite holding back.
Sam and Team Arrow trained together. The Legends trained on their own. Tony worked on his suit by himself. Everyone else had either trained on their own or in pairs of sorts, the only pair that together was Peter and Felicia, both of whom had 'sparred with one another', dressed in their suits (save for their masks). Peter's was a spandex-looking red-and-blue suit with multiple technological functions inside it. Felicia's suit was a mix of black-colored leather and black-colored lightweight-armor with multiple lines of dark gray through the suit. The two of them took to some fights which resulted in Peter accidentally sending Felicia flying across several feet. Eventually, Felicia decided for them to try some sparring while teaching Peter hand-to-hand combat skills and techniques. It was in this particular type of fight that Felicia found herself to be victorious. While Peter was stronger, smarter, and more durable, Felicia was faster, more agile, tactical, and skilled. At one point, she even managed to blitz Peter and slam him to the ground, resulting in the both of them falling together. Peter landed on his back with Felicia on top of him, their faces mere inches apart as they felt each other's breaths on their faces.
"You're…uh…really good…" Peter said awkwardly as Felicia eyed him with confusion. "...at this fighting thing, I mean."
"I had a good teacher," Felicia said as she stood up before helping Peter onto his feet. "A few of them actually."
"Think you should probably be my teacher," Peter quipped.
"Maybe," Felicia said as she and Peter gazed into one another's eyes.
For a few moments, silence overtook the both of them as their heartbeats accelerated, the both of them began to internally burn up, emotions and conflict filling them. Suddenly, without thinking about what he was doing, Peter took two steps closer to Felicia, their bodies mere centimeters apart from one another. Had either of them taken so much as half a step further and they would be pushing against one another. Felicia raised her hand to Peter's face as she felt the side of his face and his soft cheek against her palm. Peter lightly held her wrist as the two began to bring their faces closer to one another when just then, they were interrupted.
"Everyone fall in!" Oliver ordered as he, Matt, Barry, Strange, Diana, Clark, Hal, Kara, and Arthur walked to the large table with the computers and monitors, where Lyla was waiting to meet with Bruce, Oliver, Barry, and Steve.
Peter and Felicia quickly separated as they stood multiple feet away from each other. The two looked away from one another, hoping and wondering if the other was glancing back. Eventually, everyone, as well as all the heroes gathered around as Barry, Steve, Bruce, Oliver, and Lyla stood by the computers.
"A few hours ago," Lyla began. "A small dropship attacked a U.N. meeting, kidnapping multiple representatives from the countries of the United Nations. The Dominators kidnapped multiple members and have been holding them hostage. ARGUS found two locations on the members. Half of them in one, half of them in the other."
"Why do I feel like there's some sort of catch here?" Mack asked.
"Because there is," Barry stated.
"They're trying to split us up," Bruce said. "Try and weaken us."
"That very much explains today's events," Stein said. "I suppose the method of 'divide and conquer' is universal."
"We're gonna split up," Steve explained. "Go off into two teams. Each team goes to one location. We do this quick and simple. In and out."
"Let's get ready," Oliver ordered.
Nearby at a warehouse, multiple flashes of orange lightning spread throughout the parking lot nearby as a large array of heroes dressed in their suits. Among the heroes were: Barry, Bruce, Daisy, Dick, Hal, Clark, Peter, Tony, Matt, Diana, Logan, Oliver, Cisco, and Steve. The heroes stood outside the warehouse, observing its damaged and wrecked structure. Matt and Clark focused their senses, aiming to try and pick up something that couldn't be seen.
"I'm not hearing anything unusual from inside the building," Matt informed.
"Neither am I," Clark added, feeling particularly uneasy about the rather ominousness of the situation.
"What exactly are the chances this is a trap?" Logan asked.
"I'm afraid it's a guarantee, old friend," Bruce said as he and the rest of the heroes began walking, heading towards the site.
Meanwhile, Barry and Daisy, who were relatively ahead of the group, started a small conversation of their own.
"Hey," Barry whispered as Daisy glanced at him. "Are you sure you're okay for this?"
"I'll be fine, Barry, I promise," Daisy assured. "Besides, I'm not gonna let my fiancé go out here without protection."
"Oh you're the protection?" Barry quipped.
Daisy grinned. "Yeah, I think so."
Barry lightly chuckled.
"How's the old suit?" Daisy asked as Barry looked at his old maroon suit with its white-gold emblem.
"A lot more comfier than the other one," Barry replied. "And more breathable."
"Yeah, you don't need all that armor anymore," Daisy commented.
Meanwhile, in another area in Central City, inside an abandoned building, two flashes of yellow lightning sprayed throughout an entire room. A large group of people were inside the area. Among the group, there was: Jesse, Wally, Wanda, Natasha, Sam, Diggle, Rory, Rene, Evelyn, Curtis, Thea, Sara, Firestorm, Nate, Kara, Mick, Jason, Ray, Amaya, Felicia, Strange, May, Bobbi, Mack, Coulson, Hunter, Bucky, and Clint. The heroes spread out through the main level of the abandoned building. They all continued to look as Jesse, who was dressed in her suit, whispered to Wally, who had nothing but normal clothing to wear.
"Barry and your dad are gonna kill you when they find out about this," Jesse whispered.
"I can help, Jesse," Wally insisted. "I have powers and I can use them to do good. Barry and my dad wanna stop me from that?" Wally then scoffed. "Let them try."
"Keep telling yourself that, kid," Clint said as Wally and Jesse jumped with surprise. "Just know, if Barry wanted it, he'd have both of you on the ground with an arm tied to his back."
Wally then went silent as he and Jesse somewhat panicked at the thought of having to fight Barry. If the very thought scared them, what would they do if they actually had to fight him? The two speedsters remained silent when suddenly, everyone stopped as they all noticed something in front of them. Not more than a few feet in front of them, multiple dead bodies laid lifelessly on the ground. The eyes of the bodies were pulled out, dark red filling the eye-holes as blood poured from them. Everyone stared at the sight of the bodies with a level of shock.
"Oh my god," Felicia whispered, her hand covering her mouth.
Suddenly, multiple lightspeed, green, laser beams cut through the air. The beams struck Rory, Curtis, Evelyn, and Rene simultaneously as the four of them screamed in pain before their bodies disintegrated into a green liquid-like substance. They had died painfully and slowly. Instantly, everyone looked at the direction of the blast. They drew their weapons and readied their powers as they saw multiple dominators, a large device with a red energy inside beside them.
"Who are you?" Jason demanded.
"And what do you want?" Clint added.
"That is not your concern," one of the Dominators said as everyone heard the telepathic voice in their heads. "But this…is."
Suddenly, the Dominator pressed a holographic button on the device as a wave of red energy spread through the entire area. The heroes groaned in pain as they fell to their knees, pain rushing through their bodies as their heads glowed with red light. Bucky and Natasha painfully exchanged glances as they held hands, the both of them holding onto each other. As everyone struggled, Clint looked up to see two human-like figures walking up to him and the heroes. He stared in horror at the sight of the people he saw. A man in a yellow and black suit, the other in a white and gold one.
"No," Clint whispered in horror.
"Well," Thawne said with a chuckle. "This is going to be fun."
"Yes," August grinned. "Yes, it will."
A/N: That'll be all for this. Obviously, we know what's going to happen next but that will happen in the next chapter. Not this one. My next update should be by Thanksgiving next week or by the weekend hopefully. We'll see. The story may be slowing down but it won't stop, neither will this series. Have a good one, ladies and gentlemen.
