Greetings my readers! I am here with another Chapter!
Now, recently. I may have accidentally, been self-inserting myself into Adrien Hunt. for which I SEVERELY APOLOGIZE!
I AM SORRY!
I wanted Adrien Hunt to be his own person, but I am failing at that!
So at the hope of retribution, I will give you all 3 gifts.
1st: I will be doing a questions and answers chapter, for chapter 10. PM, or Review any questions you want to be answered (About the story or character. Questions like 'when will Adrien reveal his true Quirk to everyone else?') and I will answer them to the best of my ability! No secrets (Unless they are severe spoilers, and it would probably be better to PM me them since I could forget Reviews)
2nd: Adrien's Hero Name!
I haven't had much luck coming up with Adrien's hero name. So if you guys have any ideas I'm happy to hear them!
3rd: A spoiler for the future hidden in a riddle!
Reverse time, Undo theft…
False Decay, Revenge to Repay…
Rise once again, hidden death…
An old Villain, overlain…
A tale untold will unfold…
And there we go!
Honestly, if you guys decipher that and connect the dots, and figure out what that means. I'll give you guys a gold star. All I'm telling ya outside this is that the final boss isn't new, but certainly not the same.
And for today's Question/Would you Rather?
We have a Question!
Why aren't you guys doing the would you rathers?
Oh, and when do you think Adrien should reveal his true Quirk to U.A?
"Speech"
'Thought'
"Powerful/Quirk affected Voice"
Mustafu
Adrien sighed, running a single hand through his hair as he waited outside the home of the Midoriya's. Finally, he heard the turning of the handle, and the plain face that was Izuku Midoriya popped out. "H-hunt?! What are you doing here? Wait, how do you know where I live?" Adrien gave the broccoli-haired kid the blankest stare he could, "I have a Quirk that gives me Omniscience." Izuku's eyes widened in shock, "Really?!" Adrien deadpanned, "No, of course not. I asked Nezu for your address." Izuku frowned, "Uh, why?" Adrien nodded at Izuku's arm, "Because I want to help you with your Quirk. So get changed, and meet me outside in 15 minutes or I'll be coming in." Izuku nodded and quickly closed the door, leaving Adrien alone outside.
Credit to Izuku, but he actually got outside at exactly the 15th minute.
"Okay, so how are you going to help me?" Izuku asked nervously. 'So goddamn worried about One for All being discovered. That'll have to change.' "Well, first we're going to go to my home, and then we're going to train you on how to really use your Quirk. Understand?" Izuku nodded, and then, like an afterthought, Adrien asked, "Oh, you told your mom about this right?" causing Izuku to yelp and rush back inside
The Pussycat's Abode/Training Camp
"Wait- Isn't this the home of the Wild, Wild Pussycats?! The Pro-Hero team?!" Izuku shouted in shock as he stared up at his home. Adrien blinked at him for a moment, before realizing he hadn't told Izuku where they were going beyond the words 'my house' "Yep, I live, sleep, and train here." He said to which Izuku's face became that of someone who had just figured out life's greatest secret. "That's how you're so strong! You've been training with Pro-Heroes!" Adrien nodded with a shrug, "Uh-huh. And you'll be training with them too-" "How did you start training with them? You don't resemble any of them. And I don't remember any of them having children-" Adrien's right eye twitched, and he cut Izuku off, "My mother was a friend of Mandalay's. So I reached out a while back, and I've been living with them ever since." Izuku nodded so quickly he looked like a sideways helicopter. Adrien then turned to enter his house, "I just need to get something from inside real-" However the moment that Adrien opened the door, a familiar blonde-haired figure slammed into him. "ADRIEN! You're Back!" Ryuko practically screamed, Izuku's own traumatized shriek shortly following Ryuko. 'Oh Bloody hell' Adrien, unable to deal with the sudden ambush, was driven onto his back by the Pro-Hero. "Ryuko can you get off me?" He asked, but much to his dismay the Pro-Hero refused to get off him, and instead continued to nuzzle her head into his chest, most of the time It was a cute and welcome gesture, but with Izuku watching he wasn't able to enter his usual flow when experiencing Ryuko's shows of affection, and instead went down the other path. Gulping, he began to take note of the feeling of Ryuko's soft chest pressing against his lower chest and dangerously close to his waist, and quickly felt his face grow hot. 'Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope-' Ryuko then looked up and seemed to notice Izuku for the first time. Her eyes instantly widened and she was standing up so fast that it looked like a reverse Michael Jackson move. "Ah, I didn't know we had guests. Who's this Adrien?" Ryuko asked, and after getting up himself and brushing the dust off Adrien said, "This is one of my new classmates Izuku Midoriya, I brought him to help him out with his Quirk." Ryuko tilted her head curiously, more akin to a dog than a cat in the movement. Gone was the thirsty cat, replaced by a curious and concerned adult "Oh? On the first day? His Quirk must be something special then" Adrien nodded, "Super Strength by the looks of it, and I mean super strength. But he breaks his bones every time he uses it." Ryuko's eyes widened slightly, "Interesting. You should go get ready for training then. I'll join in once I'm ready as well." Izuku's eyes widened, "Wait, are you going to train with us?" Ryuko nodded, "Certainly, I can't have one of my Addy's classmates busting himself up every time he uses his Quirk." Adrien nodded and turned around to look at Izuku with a grin on his face, "Well, Izuku…" He then spread his arms, "Welcome to hell"
The Pussycat's Abode/Training Camp
1 hour later…
Adrien drove his head into a tree in frustration. Why the hell was Izuku being so goddamn difficult? Groaning in annoyance, he turned around to see Izuku shifting from foot to foot in embarrassment, all the while holding out his broken right arm. Walking back to him, he didn't even warn the bastard as he deconstructed and reconstructed his arm, earning a justified yelp of pain from the boy. "How many times have I told you? Don't go above 5%. You'll just hurt yourself." Izuku chuckled awkwardly, and Adrien took a deep calming breath. "Okay, again. And remember, channel it, not into one limb at a time, but all throughout your body at once." Izuku nodded, and Adrien glared at him, "Got it?" Izuku gulped and nodded harder, making Adrien sigh. 'Here's to hoping he gets it this time' And as Adrien watched blankly, expecting Izuku to fail once again, he was proven wrong. Red veins appeared on Izuku, covering his entire body before suddenly fading and Green Lightning took its place. "Woah" Izuku muttered as he stared at himself in awe. Adrien clapped his hands together in congratulation. "You've done it Izuku! Finally!" He said. Izuku nodded a grin on his face as well. "Okay, give it a test run," Adrien said. Izuku again nodded. And punched the air, creating a small burst of wind. Adrien was about to nod when Izuku yelped in surprise and pain and dropped Full Cowling. "What? Why'd you stop?" he asked.
Izuku grimaced and held up his right hand, which was a slight shade of purple, "I think I pulled my muscles." Adrien blinked for a moment, walked over to Izuku and repaired his arm. '5% is hurting him? Must be because he hasn't had nearly as much training as he originally did when he first got Full Cowling.' "Try 3% this time." Adrien said.
U.A Highschool, Class 1.A
The Next Afternoon…
"Stop that! You are disrespecting U.A and undergoing dangerous behaviour!" Iida shouted in front of Adrien, chopping the air as he did. 'For Pete sake.' Adrien thought, before remembering an excuse he had used in the past regarding this very situation. "This isn't disrespectful. I'm training my balance by using this chair. I never intended to perform such discourtesy towards the hallowed halls of U.A" Iida blinked for a moment, clearly surprised by his response and processing it. "Ah. Very well! Forgive my interruption! Carry on!" Iida said with a quick bow. Before rushing off.
The disbelieving faces of his numerous classmates turned to him as Adrien continued to lean on his chair, sending a smirk and wink at them all. Before sighing and continuing his 'training'
However, his victory was short-lived, as a burst of deep laughter echoed through the hallways.
'Oh right. Hero training'
"I AM HERE!" Despite himself, Adrien couldn't help but smile widely in anticipation as All-Might himself-" COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A HERO!" (Now that's rude. Don't interrupt me like that.)
A collective gasp swept throughout the classroom. "I can't believe it's really All-Might!" Denki said, "He really is a teacher! This year is going to be totally awesome!" Kirishima added. "Hey look. Is he wearing his silver age costume?" Tsu observed while All-Might marched up to the front of the room. 'This guy is both comedy and action. Comedic action.' "I'm getting goosebumps. It's so retro!" Oijiro said. "Welcome to the most important class at U.A high. Think of it as Heroing 101. Here you'll learn the basics of being a pro. And what it means to fight in the name of good! Let's get into it. Today's lesson will pull no punches!" All Might shouted after doing a flex and showing them a card with the words 'battle' written on it. "Fight training," Bakugou said evilly. "Real combat?" Izuku asked nervously. Sadly one night hadn't been enough for Izuku to grow a pair. "But one of the keys of being a hero is…" All-Might then pointed to the wall behind them, "Looking good!" he shouted as rows of suitcases extended from the wall behind him. Adrien's grin grew even wider in anticipation. "These were designed for you based on your Quirk registration forms and the requests you sent in before school started. Get yourselves suited up, and then meet me at training ground beta!" "Yes Sir!" Class 1-A shouted.
Training Ground Beta
4 minutes later…
Adrien smirked as he walked out into the sunlight with the rest of class 1.A. "They say that clothes make the pros. Young ladies and gentlemen you are the proof! Take this to heart. From now on you are all… heroes in training! Now. Shall we get started, you buncha newbies?"
"Wow, your hero costume looks simple, yet badass." Adrien turned to look at Denki, who was in his Hero Costume. Adrien nodded in thanks.
Since Overhaul was an emitter Quirk, he had free range on what he wanted his Hero outfit to be.
While the design itself was rather simple, Adrien was happy with how it turned out. Appearing as a black hooded coat, reaching halfway down his calf. His top half was almost completely covered. The coat itself was somewhat tight around his arms, shoulders and torso, before becoming more cape-like once it passed his waist, and was made from some sturdy substance similar to kevlar yet much more smooth, soft and elastic. The linings and major stitches of his coat were all laced with silver.
He wore simple black pants, also made from the same material, as well as black, iron boots. (The image on the cover essentially)
"Ah! Hey, Deku" hearing Uraraka's voice, Adrien turned around to see Izuku walking out in his original costume. 'That thing looks horrible.' was all that came to mind. "Oh, hey Uraraka," Izuku said, before seeing her hero costume and staring at her in shock. "Love your costume! Not too flashy, ya know?" Izuku put his hands over his masked mouth, still staring at Uraraka. "I should've been more specific about what I wanted. This bodysuit is skintight. Not really my style"
Adrien glanced at Uraraka's hero suit, and barely managed to suppress the blush that attempted to rise on his face as well as the blood that wanted to escape via his nose. 'Holy shit. It really is skintight. And with… NO! THAT'S IZUKU'S WAIFU! SHUT IT!' "I love this school," Mineta said with a thumbs up. Taking the chance to escape, Adrien grabbed Mineta via the balls (On the head), and lifted him up, "Stop it. Sir Diaper." He said. Turned around and proceeded to march to the front of the class. "Now that you're ready. It's time for combat training." All-Might said. "Sir," Iida said, raising his right hand robotically. "This is the fake city from our entrance exam. Does that mean we'll be conducting urban battles again?" All-Might shook his head, and shot a peace sign at Iida, "Not Quite. I'm going to move you two steps ahead. Most of the villain fights you see on the news take place outside. However statistically speaking, run-ins with the most dastardly evildoers take place indoors. Think about it, backroom deals, home invasions, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent criminals stay hidden in the shadows. For this training exercise, you'll be split into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight two-on-two indoor battles." Adrien frowned, 'two on two? Where do I fit in then?' "But there's 21 of us. What then?" Asu asked. All-Might coughed in embarrassment, and Adrien swore he heard him mumble, "I forgot about that" and knowing All-Might, he probably did.
"Well, as the student with the highest score in this year's entrance exam. Adrien Hunt will be in a team of 1! He will fight a random winning team" All-Might declared. While Adrien grinned evilly, 'Oh this is good. I could take down anyone in this class.' "Isn't this a little too advanced?" Asu asked, "The best training is what you get on the battlefield! But remember, you can't just punch a robot this time. You're dealing with actual people now." Momo raised a hand "Sir will you be the one deciding who wins?" "How much can we hurt the other team?" "Do we need to worry about the losers getting expelled like earlier?" "Will you be splitting us up based on chance, or comparative skill?" "Isn't this cape tres chic"
All-Might growled in frustration, "I wasn't done talking." while Adrien just shook his head, and tuned out what All-Might was saying until it was time to draw. Tuning back in, Adrien listened as All-Might called out team A "Midoriya and Uraraka!", and Team B "Shoji and Todoroki!" Adrien nodded when team C was called. "Eijiro and Mina!" 'Hold up what the fuck?' Adrien blinked in surprise as Eijiro and Mina clapped the other's hands. 'That wasn't the canonical team… maybe I'm just-' "Denki and Rikido!" 'huh?' Adrien looked on in surprise and mute disbelief as the new teams were called.
Going onwards from team D being Denki and Rikido, the rest were:
Team E: Tenya and Momo
Team F: Tokoyami and Koda
Team G: Toru and Ojiro
Team H: Sero and Aoyama
Team I: Mineta and Jiro
Team J: Bakugou and Asu
Team K: Adrien
Adrien could only blink at the new teams around him. 'This is a game of chance. But is my mere presence already changing stuff like this?' he wondered.
"I declare the first teams to fight will be…" All-Might said, before bringing out two balls each with a letter on them. "These guys!" A for Heroes, and H for villains. 'Serves Aoyama right…'
Adrien glanced at Bakugou who was scoffing at the result. 'I guess I walk blind from here on regarding this event. Regardless, I will win my fight.'
The Battles:
Battle 1: A vs H
Heroes: Izuku, Uraraka
Villains: Sero, Aoyama
Outcome: Heroes
Battle 2: C vs I
Heroes: Eijiro, Mina
Villains: Mineta, Jiro
Outcome: Villains
Battle 3: E vs J
Heroes: Tenya, Momo
Villains: Bakugou, Asu
Outcome: Heroes
Battle 4: B vs F
Heroes: Shoji, Todoroki
Villains: Tokoyami, Koda
Outcome: Heroes
Battle 5: G vs D
Heroes: Toru, Ojiro
Villains: Denki, Rikido
Outcome: Villains
50 minutes later…
"Good work, all of you!" All-Might congratulated as the final pair, team G and D, returned to the room. "I can't believe we lost!' Toru complained while Ojiro shared her disappointment. "Just bad luck I guess," Denki responded. In all honesty, the Heroes had nearly won that last fight.
If it wasn't for Denki tripping, and accidentally zapping Toru the villains would've lost. It was honestly funny.
"Now, for the final battle. Between a winning team, and Adrien. Let's… go!" All-Might shouted dramatically drawing another Sphere. This one was team B. 'Todoroki and Shoji. Not bad.' Adrien thought. "Okay! Young Adrien, you will be the Villain, while Todoroki and Shoji will be the heroes! Roll out!" All-Might shouted. "So you will be our opponent, this will be useful in my training," Todoroki said, turning to Adrien, and he grinned in response, before turning his gaze to the concerned and excited looks on his colleagues' faces. "The top scorer against a recommended Student. This will certainly be an interesting fight" Iida said, "You got that right." Adrien said, as he turned around and followed All-Might to the final building.
3 Minutes later…
"Remember Young Adrien, Overhaul is a powerful and dangerous Quirk, be cautious in battle, so that you don't injure your opponents," All-Might's voice said in his ear. Shrugging, Adrien said, "Sure thing, All-Might." "All Ready? Begin!" All-Might's voice shouted from the speakers in the building. 'Time to channel my inner villain.' he thought as he placed his hand on the ground, plans and strategies already forming in his mind.
Observing Room/Battlefield.
The eyes of Class 1-A were all active and alert, flickering back and forth between Adrien, Todoroki and Shoji. "I think he's going to freeze the building again," Izuku murmured as Todoroki walked up to the entrance of the building, and Shoji stepped back like before. Moments later, Izuku was proved right as a wave of Ice erupted from Todoroki's right side, freezing the entire building, and Adrien's legs, trapping him. "Aww, I wanted to see an awesome brawl," Kirishima muttered in disappointment as Adrien tried to free himself from the ice, all the while Todoroki casually walked into the room with Adrien. "It seems even you are helpless to resist my Quirk. Disappointing." Todoroki said as he looked at Adrien. "It looks like this match is over," Denki said in disappointment, but All-Might, Izuku and Momo didn't share the rest of the class's attitude, "I think not young Kaminari." All-Might said, "What do you mean? Adrien's clearly trapped." Toru agreed, but Momo shook her head, "Don't you remember? Adrien's Quirk allows him to disassemble and reassemble anything he touches with his hands." Slowly the rest of the class's eyes widened, as they realized Adrien's plan. As Todoroki turned to face the bomb, a downright villainous smirk appeared on Adrien's face as he reached down and touched the ice that was encasing him. Instantly every piece of ice in the room shattered turning to ribbons, before reforming into an Ice wall protecting the Bomb, and cutting off Todoroki's advance. "Don't think I'm down yet Todoroki," he warned.
Todoroki spun around to face Adrien, hints of shock and surprise shining through his otherwise cold expression. Rushing at Todoroki, Adrien brushed a nearby pillar with his hand, disassembling it as it transformed into a massive sledgehammer. Acting quickly, Todoroki formed a spike of Ice, barely protecting him from the cement sledgehammer that Adrien swung into it. As the ice cracked, Adrien almost immediately abandoned the Sledgehammer, instead opting to disassemble the ice spike, and transform it into yet another small wall, he tossed Todoroki out of the building via the window.
And just as he did that, Shoji appeared in the hallway, just in time to see Todoroki being thrown out the window like a ragdoll. Sensing the new arrival, Adrien turned around with his villainous grin shining darkly, "A new victim has appeared. How delightful!" yelling, Adrien slammed his hands into the ground, disassembling it yet never reassembling it, the ground turned into wave-like ribbons that slammed into Shoji pushing the Mutant away.
"Incredible," Momo muttered as she watched the display. "Why'd he throw Todoroki out the window? He could've captured him. Ribbit" Tsu said in confusion as she watched. "It's an old tactic, but still very effective. It's like Divide and conquer, but I guess we'd call it separate and annihilate. He knows he might not be able to defeat both Todoroki and Shoji at once, so he's splitting them up, weakening them. That way he can tire them out." Izuku explained, however, all words he said thereafter were lost to his descent into the famous absurdly fast muttering. "Not very manly." Kirishima huffed, putting his arms on his hips as he did. "Quiet, I'm trying to watch." Mina scolded, before turning her full attention back to the monitors, where Todoroki was having trouble getting back up to Adrien.
"Try the main entrance! Oh wait, you can't." Adrien called as he disassembled yet another one of Todoroki's Ice bridges, and turned the ice into pillars beside him for later usage, all the while infuriating the boy. Having the forethought to predict this situation, Adrien had collected some Ice from Todoroki's Ice wave and used it to collapse the entrance of the building. Now, he was keeping Todoroki at bay by destroying, and collecting the Ice he was repeatedly creating in his attempts to climb the building. As Todoroki landed on his ass once again, he shouted angrily and Adrien's eyes widened with surprise as he saw the flickers of flame shimmering on his left side. Not wanting to damage any of Todoroki's chances of reconciliation in the future, as well as his own chances of victory, he shouted "Hot head!" Adrien warned, and luckily Todoroki seemed to realize the meaning behind his words, as the embers quickly flickered out. 'Can't have him using his Fire against me right now, I don't know if I can disassemble gasses and I don't intend to find out.' Adrien thought. No sooner did his head shoot up as he heard footsteps behind him. Spinning around he saw Shoji attempting to creep up to the, now unguarded bomb. "Not today!" Adrien shouted, brushing his hand against the Ice pillars on either side of him, he turned them into Icy chains and lashed them at Shoji in a warning. The Mutant avoided the chains, albeit barely, and Adrien stood up turning his full attention to him. 'Todoroki's tired and cold. This is my chance.' he thought, raising his right hand, he ordered the Icy chains to attack Shoji, and capture him.
Lowering himself into a deep stance, Shoji's arms all turned into fists, and he grabbed the chains, grunting as he did. "I'm not going down easily." He said, and Adrien felt a twinge of sympathy and awe for the Mutant. 'Such resolve. He really is a hero.' he thought as flashes of Shoji's past flickered through his mind. However, with those images distracting him, he failed to notice the arrival of Todoroki behind him. "Hello," Todoroki said with a faint grin playing on his face. Spinning around, Adrien's eyes were wide as a wall of Ice slammed into him, tossing him into the wall opposite him, and trapping him there momentarily. "Jerk!" Adrien shouted as he destroyed the Ice wall, and turned it against Todoroki.
The eyebrows of Class 1-A all raised simultaneously as the battle below escalated in a matter of seconds. Where before Adrien was toying with Todoroki, now the duo were locked in an intense duel of Ice. Todoroki would form massive walls of ice and throw them at Adrien, and Adrien would either dodge, or disassemble the ice before throwing it back at Todoroki, only for him to dodge in turn. Back and forth they went. Until finally they noticed Todoroki tiring, and Adrien noticed it as well.
"I'll have to end this here and now," Todoroki muttered, feeling his Ice reserves running low, he stood up tall and proud, and Adrien did the same. "One final blow. Hero." Adrien sneered, giving all those watching the impression that he was enjoying this far too much. Narrowing his eyes, Todoroki called upon the last remains of his Ice reserves and prepared to throw it at Adrien, who was collecting all of the Ice that he had deconstructed and prepared the same. But before they got the chance, a buzzer sounded through the speakers, and All-Might's voice followed quickly. "Shoji has captured the bomb! Heroes win!" Todoroki swore he saw Adrien choke in shock as he heard All-Might's words, and both his own gaze, alongside Todoroki's swung to see Shoji with a hand on the bomb, and a triumphant look on his face. "GODDAMNIT!" Adrien shouted angrily.
"You did good, Young Adrien," All-Might said gently patting him on the back. 'I lost. Because I didn't pay attention. I lost.' Adrien thought. Clenching his hands he nearly glared at Shoji, 'If I'd used my other Quirks, they wouldn't have stood a chance. I could've-' Adrien cut himself off as he realized where his mind was descending. Closing his eyes, he took a deep calming breath. 'Cool down. Humility. Remember. Humility. This is necessary.' Feeling the flickers of anger and hatred fade, he opened his eyes once again and smiled at Shoji, "Great job man. Guess I need to pay more attention in battle." he said scratching the back of his head. "Still. You did great, Adrien!" Mineta shouted, stars shining in the Midgets' eyes. 'Oh no.' he thought, "Can anyone tell me who was the MVP in this round?" All-Might asked, and unsurprisingly Momo raised a hand. "It was Shoto." This made him blink in surprise. "Shoto? What about me?" he asked, confused. Momo nodded, "While Shoji was the one who captured the bomb in the end, that was only due to your fixation on Todoroki. While you clearly had the upper hand on him for the majority of the exercise, he was the reason that Shoji was able to sneak past you and capture the bomb. Otherwise, you would almost have certainly won there and then." Adrien felt a small warmth of gratitude in his chest with Momo's compliment at the end, but even as he began to relish it, he glanced at All-Might. And immediately as he remembered what was to come, his heart and blood turned to ice. "Why so down Young Adrien? You did admirably alone, even if you lost in the end. You displayed a masterful command over your Quirk. Congratulations." All-Might said proudly. And Adrien smiled weakly and nodded, "Thanks All-Might." But as the image of a black-skinned monster emerged in his mind, he was barely able to stop himself from frowning as he looked down at his hands.
'But even with all this power. It might not be enough'
Bada bing, Bada boom!
Chapter 4 is here!
Again, I apologize if this chapter isn't good. But I was having trouble writing about the battle between Todoroki, Shoji and Adrien.
And if you're wondering why I changed the teams, and had Adrien battle them it's simple.
I put it down on a randomizer, the teams were meant to be random so I decided to let that be so once again.
Also, If I switch between first names and last names, don't pay attention to it. I just forget most of the time.
I'm also planning a Christmas chapter for this book since Christmas is coming (to town).
And if you're wondering, yes my readers. Santa Claus shall appear in the flesh! (And maybe, even with a Quirk) so stay tuned!
Anyway, SPEDYALARM OUT!
